God answers prayer. I prayed for my father to live, when everyone wanted to take him off life support and God gave him another year. God sees your heart and he hears your prayers. I believe you can "speak life", but you must have the annointing of the spirit of God. If you believe, you will receive! So many "word of God" people are running around spouting off things and nothing happens. They probably would not know the spirit of God if it came up and knocked them on the head. Jesus was in tune with his father and he said that his father always heard him when he prayed. So must we be in tune with Jesus and pray as the spirit wills us to. Faith is a verb, it denotes action, and it is a substance, the evidence of things unseen. I sincerely believe God wants to answer your prayer. I see nothing wrong with you in taking your bible in hand in a prayerful manner and saying "I speak life unto my father", earthly and eternal life in the name of Jesus. God sees your desperation and he has not left you. God bless you.

S - I'm also glad you are doing better, and Oak, I like your advice. Here's something my shrink told me way back when I started getting anxiety attacks and depression. He said you are too EXTREME - you go to the extreme with your emotions and passion for life and somehow it needed to be channeled into proper thinking. We take things too seriously, and are way too sensitive. Sometimes we don't understand what makes our personalities this way, but it's not good because after a while, heavy, heavy emotions and no rest cause the body to wear out and do strange things if your nerves are bad. Am still praying for you.

Office politics are maddening. First of all, you have to remember most of these folks are the devil's right hand henchmen. Once you understand that part, then you can ask God to favor you and shut the mouth of the lion. Because not much you can do will make a difference, except pray and grow the hide of a rhino. You can tell I've worked in an office most of my life. It's very hard to do, but please be assertive as possible without being rude. You're probably a very nice, sweet person (I had a friend that got fired because she was too nice...crazy!) and maybe sensitive. Evil people enjoy (with the imps of hell) enjoy tormenting you because they can. Most of them probably are stressed, don't like their jobs, etc. and they wear a mask to get through the day. It took me the longest time ever to realize you don't have real friends in an office. They are co-workers, not friends. I will pray for you. The best professionalism you can muster will help you through with the grace of God. One day a co-worker was pretty hateful to me about a little trivial matter. I asked God to help me, as I didn't feel I could be hateful back to her and being new, thought I might get into trouble for the mistake I had made. Within a very few minutes SHE made a little mistake and HER boss chewed her out a lot worse than I could have. It works!

I believe satan is indeed tormenting your mind. I don't think God would mind you taking pills for the pain in your mind any more than he would mind if you took a pain medicine to help with a headache, cramps or any other kind of pain. Fear is paralyzing, I know, I've been through so much fear and anxiety and major depression episodes. I am glad to have some medicine to take that puts gives me relief. And also, to know that the word of God is true, and God is not the author of fear. I pray that you will find delliverance from these attacks of satan. He is a liar, remember that!!!!!! You can take your medicine and still claim your healing through the blood of Jesus. DO NOT SUDDENLY GO OFF YOUR MEDS! I don't believe you are demon possessed, you are a child of God whom the devil is attacking however he can. So don't be afraid. Did you know that God loves us no matter what? If we're on pills or off pills. As for people saying you "have to deal with these demons", remember many christians take medicine for diabetes, heart trouble, high blood pressure. These are possibly caused by demons (or not) just like these attacks you have had. Why do they take medicine instead of "dealing with their demons?" Like they are telling you to do. See? It's just another way of the devil attacking you...to try to put guilt on you as well as everything else you feel. Praying for you!

Well, we can't control our dreams that's for sure. But I've had dreams that made me feel bad when I woke up and I asked God to help me to forget the dream because the pictures and desires I had were of the old man. I've also had dreams where I was preaching to thousands of people and I felt the power of the Holy Ghost. The dream would stay with me for days. But I have to admit, I had a really fine dream about Ricky Nelson when I was a silly teenager. (Shows you how old I am). He was just so cute and it was in living color. I was pretty disappointed when I woke up. No lust involved, just a crush on a movie idol though. ha ha

What do we expect from the devil? Moral, interesting shows? Satan has spawned this filth and the bible plainly says for christians to think on things that are pure, holy and if it has any praise, think on it. I like watching nature shows, but I don't appreciate the slant toward evolution. To be honest, I doubt I would miss it if television shows were no longer on the air.

The Holy Spirit is quickening the children of God that time is running out for the earth and judgement is at hand. We may not have years, we may not have days, we may not have hours. God will not always strive with man. There is a limit to his patience. But thank the Lord he is full of mercy as well. Praying will keep us safe and our loved ones safe. A parallel of sorts....Lot was vexed with the wicked in Sodom and Gomorrah before it was destroyed. Perhaps he knew subconsciously that God would do something about it, I don't know. I believe true christians today are vexed with the dreadful wickedness abounding everywhere and their hearts are crying out, even so come Lord Jesus. I know I am.

I agree with you. All I know is that I am a christian and refuse to be into a "category" for someone like these two "sides" to argue over. How like children arguing it seems, reminds me of christians in the new testament arguing over who baptized them as if it made as difference!

Because if you win, you will be taking money from thousands of others who bought tickets and didn't win. God wants us to trust him, not in gambling or buying lottery tickets.

We can't ? Explain please. Scripture says we can and we will. It's only my opinion but God has destroyed two economic systems in the past 30 years that had become idols and is busy taking down the idol of Western medicine. What will we do when we can no longer just take a pill and even out? Who will we rely on when the Government tells us to go home and die because we're too old for a heart transplant? What will happen when we take our kids to the Doctor and sit and wait with a child in pain because of the long lines and then are told we forgot, "Ze Papers!"? Come back in three weeks! Who will we turn to when the Government fails us? peace, dave Wow a Hilter reference and we are only in page 2! Dave, God does not heal through us every time we pray for it. That is fact, undeniable. We cannot rely on miraculous healing to be the way in which we provide health care for the poor and sick and needy . I'm not Dave, but folks may HAVE to rely on God and miraculous healing someday, if and when the government won't supply it or they cannot afford it. God took care of the children of Israel wandering in the desert for 40 years, they were fed and their clothes and sandals did not wear out. I'm sure they were all healthy as well, except for those who angered God and he sent plagues upon them. They were God's chosen people.....and aren't we God's chosen people as well? If you believe you shall receive. As far as giving to the poor and needy, we have a reward in heaven for doing so. Sometimes people are destitute because of ignorance.....in some southern countries, they are not taught to tithe, but to give to the Catholic church's treasuries, other countries believe it is a sin to eat a cow, etc. Many others are cursed financially because they do not call upon the true God for help. It would be great to get them saved and to trust the Lord to meet their needs, as we christians know to do. God is faithful to meet our needs physically and financially, but we have to call on Him first. And how can they call on Him if they have not heard? And how beautiful are the feet who run to preach the gospel.

All you people on here talking about mistreating poor little defenseless kitties. You're cruel, you're cruel! I'm an animal lover can you tell? Do you all need special prayer??????

Do parents force their children to go to school? Yes they do. Children do not always know what is best for them, that is why they have parents to guide them. I was "forced" to go to church and while I rebelled after I became a teenager for some years, I am not sorry I was brought up in church. I learned the truth and it kept me out of a lot of trouble. The bible tells us to train up a child in the way he should go and church is part of that training. After the child is grown and can support himself and moves away from home, he is answerable to God, not the parents. What other options are there? Letting a young person choose something not good for him? And it is always satan telling people that "church" is not for them, young or old. There is no other option if you're in love with Jesus and want to be with his people in his sanctuary.

Jesus did not go into the "dens" of sinners. Jesus did not hang out in the red light district looking for prostitutes. The sinners always came to Jesus. Jesus was not afraid to be the friend of sinners, but Jesus did not hang out per se, with sinners. I am sure the people you want to help also have homes and other places they like to frequent like restaurants and such. Why not reach out to them there? Before going to a bar to witness, you need to check your motives and make sure that you are not using this as an ulterior motives to drink and enjoy the bar scene. I like your answer and agree with it. I am not going to judge a christian who goes to a bar, but if they really seek God about whether or not they should go, then I'm sure the Holy Spirit would tell them not to do it. I'm not comfortable hanging around people drinking their heads off, whether at a bar or restaurant. I don't want a drop of liquor passing my lips, Jesus saved me from that. Why would I want to go back into what I was delivered from and fellowship with the devil's people? For those who like to play pool or games, I'm sure there are other alternatives or places one could go. It is not a good christian testimony to frequent a bar, because people are not mind readers, they will assume you went there to drink with the rest of the boozers.

I went into a bar with a friend after I was saved to pick up her paycheck. I think she had quit. I was as innocent as a new lamb. Only a couple of folks were in there. Being quite bold about my salvation, I began to witness to the bar owner, a woman. I said, can I come in here and sing and preach? I can bring my tamborine. The woman said she was a certain church denomination and said yes I could. I was quite happy until the spirit of God stopped me in my tracks. He said to me, she does not care what you say or what you do, but she will be upset if you convert her customers and they quit drinking. She does not love me, nor does she fully want to follow me. It was truly wisdom from God. I don't regret witnessing to the woman, but I honestly believe Jesus would not want us to fellowship with unbelievers and seemly accept their sins. There are so many evil demons of darkness in a place like that, that I seriously doubt anyone would listen. A righteous person could only rebuke the unfruitful works of darkness if they are truly following Christ. Good way to get thrown out of the place. Best to wait until they stumble out of the bar and then witness to them.

Nearly 100% of all illegals ARE OF A CERTAIN RACE and have easy access to our borders. That is a fact that can't be changed. People from China, Japan, Africa, and from other nations had to come over here with a passport. So why can't these illegals get a permit or passport? Why? Because they are criminals that's why. Personally, I can empathize with them as human beings needing help, but that is their own country's responsiblity. I have all I can handle in my own life being a citizen, taking care of my own problems. And Mexico has their nerve sticking their nose in our business. They are a corrupt country who do not want to take care of their impoverished citizens. Sad.

Because they are yielding to the god of this present world instead of Christ. If they are christians (so they say???), it hurts even more. Maybe it would be a good idea if you weren't so available to always help someone out of a crunch......all of us need wisdom in dealing with relatives. Perhaps they don't respect you because you are too nice????? I know of a girl who was fired from her job because they said she was too nice...crazy huh. Being assertive can't hurt anything, but we all need a christlike spirit behind it. Am praying for you.

I read the link, but I disagree. The "we" couldn't have been angels for they have no power to create anything. The "WE" must have been the godhead.

Well, I just hope the husband's decision is a smart / good one if it comes to that. Sometimes it isn't you know. Take it from one who's been there, from one whose husband would not provide, keep a job and had other women. This is very hurtful. I wish I had a husband who would be like the one you described above. When a husband does not meet his wife's needs, a wife has to turn to God to be her husband for these things, if she wants to stay with her man and save her marriage. Honestly, if two people have tried to work out something they cannot agree on, they have a common denominator, if they're christians. Why not let God have the final decision? Can't God talk to the woman as well as the man? Why would he just tell the man something and not the woman? In a perfect world........

Well, it would seem that in my own life, if I don't pray enough, God will send me something to pray about that affects me. And usually a problem I don't want! Still I don't pray enough and practice the presence of God enough!! Funny story I heard an old pastor say..... A man knew he needed to pray more, but he was too lazy to get up out of bed (whether morning or evening I don't know). So his prayer while laying there would be "Oh Lord help me to pray, to be a praying man". When he prayed this, something would happen to his finances or on his farm. Chickens would get eaten by wild animals, etc. Then the man would pray earnestly until everything was all right. Then he got back into his old habits and did not pray except for the Lord help me to pray prayer. Again, his farm animals were affected, his sheep and pigs got sick and died. Again he prayed and everything was ok. After this he was laying in his bed, about to pray the same old prayer. He remembered what happened when he got too lazy to pray. He jumped out of the bed and said,forget it Lord, I'll do my own reminding and praying! Funny story, but close to home to some of us.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Lust is something you desire that you don't have....marriage means you have it. God says to be married if you cannot contain yourself. Or crucify the flesh with God's help until you do. If a person marries a person that they do not love because they were in lust and not in love, that does not mean they should forsake their marriage. They still made their vows unto God who holds them responsible. The statement you made above sounds like a person who may not even be a christian or a very carnal one.
