  1. So he/she has been here since the 6th century AD, but has still not been revealed? Not for everyone, many still blind to the truth and they want to remain like that (Who have eyes and see not, And who have ears and hear not) Jeremiah 5:21. The truth is in the Bible, not in the imagination of people; The truth is in the word of God, not in movies, not in private interpretations. The antichrist is not a person but a power; political/religious power. The word
  2. Martin Luther (1483-1546) (Lutheran): "Luther ... proved, by the revelations of Daniel and St. John, by the epistles of St. Paul, St. Peter, and St. Jude, that the reign of Antichrist, predicted and described in the Bible, was the Papacy ... And all the people did say, Amen! A holy terror siezed their souls. It was Antichrist whom they beheld seated o
  3. I agree that we are almost in the same path, but what the Bible tells me is that that "man of sin" is not for the future, has been here for awhile already. Paul called the Antichrist, "the man of sin ... the son of perdition" (2 Thess. 2:3). It is primarily because of this verse that millions have come to believe that there will be o
  4. The most glaring inconsistency of the rapture theory, is that the Antichrist will not appear until after the saints are caught away; seven years before the end of the world. Paul settles the entire matter for us in the first few verses of 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [of our gathering together unto Him] shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin [Antichrist] be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God" (vs. 1-4). The words of Paul are so plain that it is difficult to comment on them. How can they be plainer? Christ's coming will not take place "except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed." Show these words to anyone not prejudiced by "private" interpretations, and he will say, "These verses say that the man of sin (Antichrist) is going to be revealed before Jesus comes." Paul is not referring to some superman suddenly to appear 2,000 years after his epistles. He wrote, "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work" (v. 7). While Paul lived, he combated the emerging spirit of the Antichrist. By the sixth century A.D., Antichrist had matured. The crowning act in the great drama of deception, however, occurs just before the return of Christ: "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming."' Verse 8. This clearly states that Antichrist will be destroyed when Christ comes. He does not arrive after the Second Advent. And here's the crowning clarification in this whole thing. Revelation 20:4 assures us that some of those who are raised in the first resurrection will be those who refused to worship the beast and receive his mark! How completely this demolishes the futuristic school of prophetic interpretation is evident, for they claim that the emergence of the Antichrist and the imposition of his mark are to be looked for after the first resurrection and what they call the secret rapture.
  5. Since so much rapturist theology revolves around the seven-year period, one would assume that the Bible must speak frequently of such a time period. But not so. There is not one single scriptural reference that ties the seven years to the end of the world or the coming of Christ. Most rapturist literature mentions the seven-year tribulation period without offering any Bible proof or explanation. Millions have assumed that it must be so well documented that no proof is needed. In fact, the opposite is true. There just isn't any evidence to give. Most Bible students are amazed to learn that the rapturists try to justify their seven years by lifting a prophecy of Daniel completely out of its context. In Daniel 9:24-27 God made a daring prophecy concerning the probation of the nation of Israel. He said to Daniel, "Seventy weeks ['weeks of years' RSV] are determined upon thy people ... to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins" (v. 24). Please notice that God was going to allow Daniel's people seventy weeks to see what they would do with the Messiah when He appeared. The seventy weeks are prophetic time, and each day represents a literal year (Ezekiel 4:6). So the seventy weeks would be a literal period of 490 years, after which the Israelites would no longer be God's people. They would be rejected as a nation because of their rejection of the Messiah. Don't miss the point in Daniel 9:25 that the prophecy of the seventy weeks was to begin with the decree to restore and build Jerusalem. That well-known date is 457 B.C., when Artaxerxes sent out the decree (Ezra 7:13). From that date, 457 B.C., the Jews would have exactly 490 years to finish filling up their cup of iniquity by rejecting the Messiah. That 490-year probation ended in A.D. 34, and the Jews ceased to be God's chosen people. Daniel 9:25 says that the Messiah would be anointed after sixty-nine of those prophetic weeks had passed by. That would be 483 years from the decree date of 457 B.C. It takes no mathematician to figure the end of that prediction. It brings us to the year A.D. 27, the very year that Jesus was baptized by John and the Holy Spirit anointed Him for His ministry. Since "Messiah" means" Anointed One," this had to be the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy that the Messiah would appear in A.D 27. Now mark this fact: seventy weeks were assigned to the Jewish probation, but Christ appeared as the Messiah after sixty-nine weeks. That leaves the seventieth week for Christ to minister before the Jews' probation ended. What was to happen in the seventieth week? Daniel 9:27 tells us, "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease." The midst of the week would be three and a half prophetic days (literal years) from His baptism. And according to the Bible, the ministry of Jesus lasted for three and a half years. In the spring of A.D. 31 He was crucified. The veil of the temple was rent (Matthew 27:51), signifying the end of sacrifices. By His death He caused them to cease. Another three and a half years would lead up to the end of the seventy weeks and the end of Jewish probation. During that three and a half years the disciples labored largely for the Jews. But in A.D. 34 the seventy weeks ended; Stephen was stoned and the gospel began to go to the Gentiles (Acts 8:4). The Jews had rejected the gospel message and were no longer God's people, just as Daniel had predicted. Henceforth they could be saved only as individuals, in exactly the same way as the Gentiles. As a nation, they had been rejected as the chosen people. Here is the way the Bible describes that rejection: Matthew21:43 "The kingdom of God shall be taken from you." Matthew 21:19 "And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away." (The fig tree was a symbol of the Jewish nation.) Matthew 23:38 "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate." Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:29 "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Romans 10:12 "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him." Romans 9:6-8 "For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children; but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are ... the children of the promise are counted for the seed." (The New Testament teaches the acceptance of spiritual Israel, and the rejection of physical Israel and the children of the flesh.) Romans 2:28, 29 "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter." Acts 13:46 "It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles." The rapturists get their seven years' tribulation by lifting that seventieth week of Daniel's prophecy completely out of its context and shoving it far into the future. They claim it will be fulfilled after Christ comes to snatch away the righteous secretly. Incredible? Absolutely! But they must grasp desperately for some text to support their seven years. They agree that the sixty-nine weeks of Daniel 9:25 refer to the period before Christ's first advent, but then they insert a 2,000-year gap before the seventieth week is fulfilled. They allot 69 weeks plus 2,000 years plus one week, or a total of 2,490 years. By this devious manipulation of God's Word, the rapturists believe they have extended the Jewish probation; and based upon this, they teach that all the fleshly Jews will be saved in a great second chance after the "secret rapture" takes place. The tragedy of the rapture theory is that it takes these beautiful verses of Daniel 9:24-27 that predict the coming of Jesus, His baptism and crucifixion, and apply them to Antichrist. They do this by stating that it is Antichrist that causes the sacrifice and oblation to cease after three and one-half years. But Daniel states that it is Jesus who caused the sacrificial system of the Jews to cease when He died on the cross. A misinterpretation that confuses something Christ has done, and applies it to the devil instead, is certainly a tragic occurrence. And yet this is the only way one can arrive at a seven-year tribulation period. How sad!

  11. Who is our brothers, sisters and mothers? Matthew 12:50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother. Mark 3:35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother. Nuff said ... Amen
  12. Many people just like you are searching for the true Church; there are so many denominations which is the one? Every single Christian Church has a good amount of truth, but with false teachings too, really a good glass of water can be poisoned with one drop of the most powerful poison. One think to consider, It is very important to recognize that no church can be proven superior because its members are without sin. People are people, and all are subject to the same frailties of human nature. Yet, it is also true that every Christian has access to the same mighty power of God for overcoming those frailties. Therefore, any church today will necessarily be made up of individuals who are at varying levels of personal sanctification. The wheat and tares will still be mingled together, and no church will be made up entirely of perfect people. Another point to consider is that we cannot put our emotions to choose the Church, emotions over one Bible verse , or the beautiful music, or because the pastor is very attractive, or just because is close to your house etc. One of the biggest mistakes that people make is trying to study the thousands of denominations finally tire and disappointed they decide to choose the one that is more convenient to their life style, instead of the true Church; The right thing to do is to study the Bible first and then the denomination. There are so many verses in the Bible that will point you to the right Church, is a very long topic, but the key is that in the Bible the Church is also call
  13. When God says "I will remember no more" does not mean that is erase from His mine, but Remember no more. That is, God will no longer hold these sins against the transgressor (Isa. 65:17). God will cast all our sins behind His back (Isa. 38:17). He will cast them into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19). It is very important for us to remember our sins and the consequences of it. The test in this world is not just for us; but to the angels of heaven and the whole universe.

    Sleep in Jesus.

John was taken up into heaven. That is the theatre of events. Chapter 5 tells us that the seals are broken by the Lamb upon the throne. Where is the throne at? Are you seriously going to to say that the throne is not in heaven? John has been seeing the events taking place in heaven since the beginning of chapter 4. To say that this is not taking place in heaven is an assertion that cannot be taken seriously. No, they would not tell you that a metaphor is being employed because that is not what they are designed for. I am talking about hermeneutics, not simple concordances or dictionaries. It is through proper hememeneutics and exegesis and being competent enough with the language to understand what types literary devices are being employed. Strongs, and Thayers and Brown-Driver-Briggs simply tells you what a word means. They don't tell you how a word or phrase is being used. Word usage goes back to what I was saying earlier about connotation. Metaphors do not pertain what a word means, but how it is used and it is being used as a metaphor. The problem is that you don't recognize the limits of the materials you are using. There is more to word study than just what word means. You have to understand what the author meant when He used that word. There is also the entire historical/cultural context to consider as well. Words are containers of more than just a lexical or dictionary definition. They are containers of thoughts, ideas and emotions and all of that plays into how a word is used. That is again, really grasping at straws. I would also note that they are petitioning God, which also means that they are not "sleeping." They are fully aware of what is going on and remember their martyrdom and are asking God to avenge their blood. The problem with that is that Abraham was denying the request for Lazarus to be resurrected. Jesus leaves the story with Lazarus not having been resurrected. You are simply reaching for something that is not there. If you want to believe the two Lazaruses are the same, that is up to you, but it exists ONLY in your imagination, and is not the product of a skillful handling of the text. Nothing you present is convincing in the least. But I cannot stop you from believing it if that is what you want to do. Because in John, after Jesus raises Lazarus, he enters Jerusalem on the foal of the donkey. The raising of Lazarus occurs at the end of Jesus' ministry, just a matter of days before the Passover and His crucifixion. The story of the rich man and Lazarus occurs much, much earlier in Jesus' ministry. There are four chapters that separate the Parable of the rich man and Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. Which means that the parable was related far, far in advance of Jesus resurrecting the REAL Lazarus from the grave, which means that they cannot be same person. Lets face it and agree to disagree. I think that it is totally illogical to die and be changed into a purified body or glorified body thereby leaving corruptable so we can go to heaven and hang with God and then when God desideds it is time for the resurrection to take place we would have to come back to the grave and lay in it until Jesus comes to resurrect us back out of the grave so we can once again be changed into our glorified body so we can go back to heaven and stand before the throne of God a number which no man can count. What does Revelation 6:11 say-6:11. And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should {rest} yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. So once again we are talking about the word "rest" which in this verse means "to sleep". So lets say that you are 100% right and lets remove the word rest and replace it with the word dead. Here is what it would look like "And it was told to them that they should " dead or stay dead" yet for a little season. But wait a minute they just gave them white robes and they are still under the alter. You have a good point about how they are pititioning God and I do not have an asnwer for that one one but then again if we start back where we started we still have "the dead know nothing" so is this a biblical controdiction? No I don't think so but do think that there must be something that I am missing and it is not a medaphor. I try hard not to get into knowing something just because I want to be right so I have been doing some reseach while we have been talking and I found that the the number of those who believe one way or another are about equal. Here is what I found though it is just a very small part. The term

    Sleep in Jesus.

The idea of soul-sleep is usually defended by citing scriptures like the ones you have stated above (Matthew 9:24; Acts 7:60 etc). But the question we must ask is in what sense the word is being used. Is it meant to describe a literal sleep, or is it being used metaphorically to describe the temporal nature of death for believers? For example. Jesus says this in John 11:11: He said this, and then He told them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I'm on My way to wake him up." (John 11:11 CSB). Jesus did not say here that Lazarus' soul was asleep. No passage of scripture says this. In th passage above John actually explains that Jesus did not mean this literally, but figuratively: Jesus, however, was speaking about his death, but they thought He was speaking about natural sleep. (John 11:13 HCSB) We do however have passages that describe people who have died being in a conscious state: Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God (the heavenly Jerusalem), to myriads of angels in festive gathering, to the assembly of the firstborn whose names have been written in heaven, to God who is the judge of all, to the spirits of righteous people made perfect, to Jesus (mediator of a new covenant), and to the sprinkled blood, which says better things than the blood of Abel. (Hebrews 12:22-24 HCSB) This does not describe angels and a host of sleeping souls. When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slaughtered because of God's word and the testimony they had. They cried out with a loud voice: "O Lord, holy and true, how long until You judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?" (Revelation 6:9-10 CSB) Again, the martyrs described here are pictured as souls who are awake and crying out to God, not asleep. Heb 12: 22-24. According to verse 24, Paul is here talking about the glories of the new covenant relationship as compared to the old covenant idea of human effort alone. Sinai is used to represent the old covenant (verses 18-21), and Jerusalem is used to represent the new. In Galatians 4:24-26, the very same parallel is made symbolizing the two covenants by Sinai and Jerusalem. Some have interpreted these verses to mean that souls go immediately into heavens at death to appear at the judment bar. But please notice this is the key word, that these people come "to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant" Those who are saved in heeaven will no longer, need a mediator such as is described here. Sin will have ceased for them, don't you think so? Paul is actually describing the life of a Christian here in this world as he begins to experience the joys of the new covenant relationship. Such a Christian comes to: 1.- "Mount Sion .. the city of the living God." Peter speaks of the church in similar language: "lively stones, .. a spiritual house." 1 Pet. 2:4-6. 2.- "An innumerable company of angels", descriptive of the angel ministry for the saints mentioned in Heb 1:7. 3.- "The general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven", another description of the body of Christ on this earth. Paul spoke of his fellow laboreres as those "whose names are in the book of life." Phil. 4:3. 4.- "God the judge of all." This is parallel language to Heb 4:16, which says, "come boldly unto the throne of grace," and to Heb 7:25, which says, "He is able also to save them...that come unto God by him." 5.- "The spirits of just men made perfect" not disembodied spirits as some imagine, but the kindred spirit of Chrisitan with Christian. Paul contrasts those who walk "afer the flesh" and those who walk "after the spirit." But thse are real people who have spiritual natures that are sanctified through the blood of the new covenant. Compare Heb.10:14 "For by one offering he hath perfected for eve them that are sanctified." So, again this verse is not talking about disembodied spirits. I would like to think in this matter; let
  16. Matt. 7: 20-23. "Therefore by their fruits you will know them. 21 " Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' It is evident from the Scriptures that the performance of miracles is not of itself conclusive evidence that divine power has been in operation. The greatest miracle of time and eternity is a life transformed according to the divine likeness. Those who profess to be prophets are to be tested by their lives (Matt. 7:16), and not by their professed miracles. In this verse when Jesus says
  17. Of course not, He give us "FREE WILL" we should never blame God for bad things; for there is nothing bad in Him.
  18. Nobody that I know of disputes that Saturday is the 7th day of the week and always has been. Based on what you said, who made Sunday the first day or seventh day? If we are going to question what day of the week Sunday is, and we are required to keep the sabbath holy, we are really in a mess because we would have to make sure we get it right. How do we do that if we can't trust our calendar? From my understanding, the early church met on Sunday, the first day of the week in honor of the resurrection, and it was known as the Lord's Day. Many in the early church continued to meet in the temple on Saturday, the sabbath day with the Jews. It gave them an opportunity to witness to the unsaved. I don't think the early church ever looked at Sunday as the sabbath, but they met on that day for practical reasons. My dear friend, can you point to the verse or verses that support your words? For in so many years of studying my Bible I never see anything like that. Oh, let me help you, you are probably mention John 20:19, am I right? Lets read it:
  19. Sorry. I see the word "rest" and forget what is said to be done on the sabbath (which you previously posted). I would like to volunteer time to a place in need, but if I do this would I promoting their work on the sabbath? The people there are getting paid (some of them). There are many Doctors and nurses that keep Holy that day, and yet they work in that day! Why, because they are taking care of people, they are not suppose to let people die or get worse, that will be contrary of what Jesus taught. If that volunteer time that you want to give is for helping someone that is sick or is someone too old to take care of things etc. is nothing wrong with that, if we are to criticize them, well, we will be like the Pharisees or the scribes that were bent on finding out how to bring the ministry of Christ to a halt; They were determined to make a case against Him. See there were many moments that the Pharisees accuse Jesus of braking the law; for instance the healing of the demoniac in the synagogue at Capernaum (Mark 1:21
  20. Do nothing?????? There is millions of things to do specially in this day, is in this day that you get together with other brothers and sisters and talk about God and His blessings and how can we serve Him better, this day is to visit hospitals for people in need of a companion, is a time to give love in the fullest without the though of other worly things in your mine, but the love of God every second, is the time to share His word, this is the tiem to get the blessing of our Lord, Oh my friend and can go on an on..... Ezekiel 20:20 'hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.
  21. Very good question, about those "613" laws, if you read them you'll find out that for example 50 or more are related just to the fourth commandment, another 50 or so for the first commandment, and so on, in another words, all 613 commandments are included in the Ten Commandments. I just observe those commandments that God wrote with His own finger (Ex. 31:18; Deut. 9:10) The Ten Commandments; Why? because the word of God says that is good and just, and holy (Rom 7:12) and because is a mirror to see my sins (James 1:23
