Same old, same old. I wonder what our Lord has to say to this
-
apart from no such terminology being found in in Genesis 2:7, the expression 'speaking spirit' (to me) does only make sense in comparison. Hence; to say that God created Adam a 'speaking spirit' includes by inference that God created also spirits that do not speak. This in (my opinion) leads to the 'New (old) Age pagan' teaching that there are spirits in everything.

Bible Pages Used To Set Church Bus On Fire
Ascot Preston replied to wyguy's topic in General Discussion
Oh yes...I can. however, that is the difference between the words of the Messiah and the teachings of Islam. Mat 5:44 but I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you; Mat 5:45 that ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust. -
If they do reveal hidden truths...then it goes both ways. There would be a genuine meaning, or one that people want to see. However, the one people want to see is naturally the one that they prefer. The example is the following Mother-in-law = woman Hitler As far as i am concerned anagrams are conceived by people messing with people's minds. Do I maybe see a hint of demonic charlatanism in anagrams

Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh. Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh. Mat 24:45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season? Mat 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Mat 24:47 Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath. Mat 24:48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth; Mat 24:49 and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken; Mat 24:50 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, Mat 24:51 and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

I would not respect a god that keeps me in a sinful condition for eternity. For that is what all the human invented gods do.

I then come across 1 John 5:14, which indicates that He'll hear us IF we pray "according to His will." The fact is, we don't always know His will--frequently, that may even be the case. How often do you hear someone's prayer for healing not being answered (despite Jesus healing without fail while on earth) and the response be "well, though we don't understand it, maybe God didn't want that person to be healed?" Even if we maintain the lack of healing was more due to a lack of faith or sin in the praying believer's life, we still know that godly men can disagree on all sorts of important doctrine, so how are we to really have confidence we're praying something that's God's will? What it boils down to is great difficulty in feeling true confidence in praying anything specific, despite the fact that's the very thing Jesus (not just in Mark 11:24) says for us to do! As a fact...we do know Gods will. Mat 6:33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. If we do this then: Rom 8:28 And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose. Hence, if our prayers are not answered then we need to have a good look at ourselves. If we can not discern anything that has come between us and our Lord, then we must trust that our heavenly father has our welfare in mind by not answering our prayer in the way we expect it to be answered. He has something better planned for us. 2Co 12:7 And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch. 2Co 12:8 Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 2Co 12:9 And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2Co 12:10 Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. I pray that these thoughts will strengthen your faith in our Father. Blessings

Hi andy This came to mind Rom 11:26 and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer; He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: Rom 11:27 And this is my covenant unto them, When I shall take away their sins. All the Antisemitism in the Universe will not prevent the Lord from saving his people, a fact for which I am grateful since I am of Semitic heritage. As for us doing something? Well....hm...what can we do?... turning hearts to the Messiah. Those who hate the Creator will also hate his people, nothing we can do about this. This might sound odd to some. However, my opinion is that the people of this world do not hate the Jewish people because they are Semites, but the Jewish people are hated by the people of this world because the Jewish people are God's people. Israel (God contended). Lucifer hates his Creator, and the Creator's people, be they Jewish, or followers of the Messiah. Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man child. Rev 12:14 And there were given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness unto her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Rev 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream. Rev 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth. Rev 12:17 And the dragon waxed wroth with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, that keep the commandments of God, and hold the testimony of Jesus: The sad fact is that even people who ought to know better (those who say they follow the teachings of the Messiah) walk hand in hand with he enemy of our Lord. In my opinion these people never really bothered to read the Scripture. They just attend services...feeling all fuzzy and righteous for having gone to Church. They carry their Bibles like a fetish...a good luck charm, not knowing what is really written inside. Sorry... I do not wish this to be contentious. What I really wish to say; those who believe in the Messiah need education in the teaching of the Messiah, and those who do not believe in the Messiah will always hate everything to do with the Messiah and his people. There is nothing we can do about this. Rom 11:26 and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer; He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Praying Jas 5:13 Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise. Jas 5:14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Arthritis and love
Ascot Preston replied to InternalFlame's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
First thing on my mind, in reading your post, was; Is your Boyfriend a Christian?? If not... my personal opinion based on personal experience, is to get out of the relationship, unless your boyfriend is willing to accept Christ as his savior. If not a Christian, his illness, if it worsens, might make him bitter over time toward his condition, toward life and toward God. I have seen this happening. If your boyfriend is a Christian, please seek help from your local Church Elders. Not from the Preacher, he has got enough on his plate. If you stay with your boyfriend and become his wife, you will need all the help you can get. Naturally, your greatest source of strength is our Lord and Savior. However, in addition to this you will need strong Christian community support, the ongoing support his and your relatives, and a support group of people who actually have this illness. http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Ankylosing-...s/support-group Sad to say, but relatives that are not Christians often just will be happy to get rid of any burden, and will place it squarely upon your shoulders. And even if you carry the burden out of love, it still is a burden. Oddly enough, it is also a great privilege. (speaking from personal experience here.) This is a most difficult decision you must make. I am sorry, but as an outsider it is very difficult to advise you. I only know how I am reacting to your post. I know I could not deal with what you are dealing with....sigh. Be assured that our Lord is with you and that whatever decision you make, the Lord will turn it to good. -
I am glad you said 'had hatred'. Sure, historical places are of importance... to this age. Sure, Satan and his minions wish to eradicate all traces of anything to do with the Messiah and his people. However, We are not of this World. Please consider the following: Rev 6:12 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; Rev 6:13 and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree casteth her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind. Rev 6:14 And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; Rev 6:16 and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: Rev 6:17 for the great day of their wrath is come; and who is able to stand? I do not really think that much will be left of any places, historical or not, when the Lord is finished with remodeling this Planet.

nice song. Thanks Had to look twice to get meaning of the somewhat cryptic Lyrics, Don't think none-Christians will get it at all.

The Lord has, and will, prepare all that are his for the end of the present Age. That is what Revelation is all about. And Revelation has a blessing for those who read, hear, understand and heed the prophecy. Compare your dreams to what the Lord has already told us. If your dreams match up, then they are from the Lord. If not, then some other spirit is attempting to frighten you. In any case. The Lords Church (in my opinion) will watch the end of the age from the mezzanine. (hope i spelled that one right )

The Root of the Problem is Satan wanting to have his 'man' sit in Jerusalem, declaring himself god, so he can exterminate every and anything pointing to the Messiah, Jesus the Son of God. Indeed, Satan wants to exterminate all religions, with the exceptions of his own. For two-thousand years Satan has thrown rocks at the earthly church. Satan's minions are in the earthly church. The mentioned document is just one of many attempts by Satan's minions to advance Satan's course. Know what? He will succeed for a short time, until our Lord and Savior intervenes. The real fight is between our Lord and his adversary.

I don't fear death per se, but the process of dying is something I rather dread. If you mean by 'dying' physical aging, I agree. Well, I do not really fear physical aging, but I do not like it either, it certainly is most unpleasant. Speaking from experience here As for the process of actually leaving this mortal body. The pain is bearable, the process rather quick for most people.... unless some 'well meaning' medicos pull you back into this mortal realm
