It isn't like God hasn't been clear on this: Luke 16:19 (KJV) [19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: [20] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, [21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. [22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; [23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. [25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. [26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. [27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: [28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. [29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. [30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. [31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. People's opinions really don't factor in when it denies the clear teaching of Scripture...

The 'sin of Adam' by which we are condemned is 'Unbelief.'

What I love about God's Word is that it is of the whole a unified understanding... Isaiah 28:10 (KJV) [10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: so this: 1 Timothy 2:13 (KJV) [13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Adam was full aware of his rebellion to God... what ever the motivation for him to do so is not listed in The Scripture but it was not of unbelief... Seeing this how do you stand on your comment above? -

So, Question for you brother: God said this Genesis 2:17 (KJV) [17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. People get bogged down in the mechanics of Yowm but shouldn't... the context itself defines the word... for the focus is upon eating what was forbidden and thus it is a point in time to that very thing! Some use smoke and mirrors to 'dying thou shalt die' yet it changes nothing in contextual focus ... eating of-thus focal in that moment... people get diffused by body death that has nothing to do with anything as it is of the created substance dirt... but the focus should be upon the essence of what made the dirt contain a living soul that is the focal subject of all eternity~ why because the dirt can be removed and completely forgotten where as the eternity is transference of s/Spirit into a newness not now assessable to the mind 1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV) [9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. and is the eternal keeping (God's essence of breath) John 4:23 (KJV) [23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. As God can have no part with lie and it's fruit sin... 1 John 1:5 (KJV) [5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Thus, in the moment they ate they became lie and that which was life (Spirit, breath of God) left them and they became separate from God... The inner man connected with 'The Breath of God' became a void with no resource but that of flesh to glean from... Do you believe this? -

The bottom line is God has only guaranteed truth to be of His Word 'The Scripture' John 17:17 (KJV) [17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 2 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) [15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. So, for all else it is an easy discipline to allow only Scripture to form my mind and heart toward the things of God...

I find it odd you didn't answer the question... then attacked me for asking it! I would answer your question but thinking Jade did it just fine...

As wickedness has increased so the love of many decreased .... that reflects on how they respect and love God's Word! Many now treat it as just some book who can just take it or leave it without any reserve... A heart check for me is do I love it more than my necessary food and all else that is in this place... Me as well! Thanks for the friendship, Steven

I had a similar experience other than the mean part... It was a Herford and Angus cross call lula bell I rode around on her and never bucked me off - it was like she was a big dog that would follow me around... She too went under the knife and was delicious

According to God Scripture is the only thing one can build a reasonable mind with in truth 2 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) [15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. -

The real issue is taking God's Word for foundational rock bottom truth... this whole mess started in disregarding God's Word! Look at what it has caused in this world~ now trying to improve God's acceptability by disregarding His Word is no different! As God 'IS' (as His Word reveals Him) because that 'IS' whom one must ask into their heart... -

Scripture says this: 2 Thessalonians 2:6 (KJV) [6] And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. [7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. Now as the who or what is not defined and the Church is all over the place with this and here is a good treatise on this reality Who / What is the restrainer in 2 Thessalonians 2:6? | GotQuestions.org To simplify this would be this -There exist only one restrainment of evil and that is Good... in whatever form that would be- it is from God or God Himself Luke 18:19 (KJV) [19] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. One other thought on this: The focal aspect is not taken from presence but the act of restraining ...

Excellent point! I also see that God in further refining that character commitment Joseph had made within himself so that He was ready for the daunting task that was ahead and eventually by God's extreme blessings removed all previous hurt that might have crippled Joseph ... seeing the fulfillment of this verse always in the lives of God's children Romans 8:28 (KJV) [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This is a difficult parable to say the least... noting from GotQuestions to establish foundational aspects of! In examining the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1–13), it's important to recognize that interpretations of this parable vary widely. However, the aspects that are clear: The bridegroom represents Jesus Christ, and the parable illustrates His return. In the Old Testament (Isaiah 54:4–6; 62:4-5; Hosea 2:19), God is depicted as the "husband" of Israel, while in the New Testament (John 3:27–30; Matthew 9:15; Mark 2:19–20), Christ is portrayed as the bridegroom of the Church. The Church itself is described as the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25–32). Immediately we are moved into the eschatological aspects of Jesus' return... and the body of Christ is all over in this point... We know the virgins are not the Church=Bride of... so identifying them would be perhaps the historical aspect of Jewish culture at that time? As the doctrine of eternal security is well established not by works but by essence the problem is multiplied here by not having and thus not permitted to continue past the door! Matthew 25:12 (KJV) [12] But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. We know this statement is seen elsewhere by Jesus Matthew 7:21 (KJV) [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. As these were rejected by works reliant ... So, the oil not works and not essence leaving only The Scripture which works in OT and NT... what I have thus far. Psalms 119:105 (KJV) [105] NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Luke 1:78 (KJV) [78] Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, [79] To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

The forgetting does not occur till the new heaven and earth Knowledge will cease: 1Cor 13:8 Rev 21:1-5 Isa 65:17 Psalms 9:5-6 Some contend that the earth will be renovated but according to God's Word 'all things will be made new' ... God is going to make all things new 1. new things, Isa 42:9 Isaiah 48:6 2. new song, Isa 42:10 (cf. Rev 5:9; 14:3 3. something new, Isa 43:19 (cf. Rev 3:12) 4. new name, Isa 62:2 (cf. Isa 56:5) 5. new heavens and a new earth, Isa 65:17 Isa 66:22 (cf. 2 Peter 3:13) The "new" day (cf. Rev 21:5) was, in reality, the day that God always wanted for humans, but the Fall in Gen 3 caused a terrible disruption! It is surely possible that the Bible's imagery of heaven is a restored Garden of Eden (cf. Rev 21:2).

We will get a lot of advice in our lives but it is necessary to get Biblical fact... that is why God had it written all down: The memory of all this will be removed at the presentation of the New Heaven and Earth Isaiah 65:17 (KJV) [17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV) [8] Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. Revelation 21:4 (KJV) [4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. My friend @missmuffet gave me, in this thread, Psalms 9:5-6 ... what a wonderful blessing to grow together with His Word!
