"The “enmity” or hostility and hatred spoken of here is between Satan and Christ. The seed of the serpent, evil men and demonic forces, struck at the heel of the Savior when Judas, the Pharisees, the rabble, and the Romans, conspired to condemn Jesus to be crucified. But His wound was not the final act. He rose the third day, having paid the price for the sin of all who would ever believe in Him. The ultimate victory was His, and He crushed the head of Satan, removing forever his rule over man." "The protoevangelium shows us that God always had the plan of salvation in mind, and informed us of His plan as soon as sin entered the world." Thank you, I had not heard of protoevangelium before. (I'm sure I'll forget and have to relearn that word!)

The "it" is neutral in Hebrew. The "his" is male personal pronoun in Hebrew. As english is not my native tongue that does not help me at all lol.

I did not investigate, only watched i believe one video of Johathan Cahn, and the little I remember is he was stressing that God gave us the heavens a signs, along with interesting things that have happened in the past when things were observed in the heavens. The video I saw was not about predicting dates, only that God gives us signs and as a nation we need to repent. Maybe he went much further at other times I don't know, I certainly agreed with the concept that God can and does give us warnings and we need to heed and repent before its too late.

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. I thought this was referring to Jesus will be killed but in doing so He defeated death?

The term " Born Again Christian " is unbiblical
hmbld replied to robin hood's topic in Defense of the Gospel
Jesus meant that to be 'born from above'! Of course, 'born again' claim is in tune with Paul with his self-claim of apostleship! It is the fruit of the Spirit that will decide that, not any emotional burst of sounds or actions! In your post you referring to a matter that has been in concidarasion with me for some time, how to aliviate the fear of going to Hell. Or how to remove doubts of whether someone belongs to Jesus or not. (resulting going to heaven). or the struggle to prove to ones self that I have establish my self in the faith and there is no way that I will ever denied my belief in Jesus Christ no matter what comes along in my life. While is good to establish ones self in the knowledge of Christ, still we have to look where it all began, and what Jesus Christ knows about someone who has believed regardless of this individual's understanding. Which is relevant and also irrelevant both to Jesus and to the believer. We all very well know that the righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed upon someone when Jesus ( and or the Holly Spirit) sees faith in the heart of someone who has just believed. For with the heart someone believes unto righteousness. This is the same for anyone regardless of their background and or phycical or mental well been.( mentally chalenge people and deaf and mute individuals or sick and weak). Someone is righteous in Jesus, when Jesus says that you are righteous in my name, not when a person becomes consious and when he is trying to convince ones self in a variety of ways that he has the righteousness of Jesus Christ by faith. This is an attempt to depart from self inflicted sorrow. We see that the righteousness of Jesus is imputed upon someone before any verbal or other method of conffesion ( which are quite few). And also the righteousness of Jesus is imputed before repentance of any kind of works or defects of character. For any one who has denied in the past faith in Jesus as the Christ, the repentance of faith for him, or her, (also could be a child), comes before an individual believes that Jesus has died for his sins, and the sins of the whole world or before at some point, and it is in the heart of the person, whether it is express with a type of conffesion or not. At the same time of belief an individual together with the gift of righteousness, also recieves the deposit of the spirit, and the Gift of eternal life, and a place in heaven to be with Jesus Christ if he keeps believing in him till he departs from this world. Your faith that Jesus died for your sins, for the seal of the Holly Spirit that you belong to GOD or to Heavens. Repentance of works and or defects of caracter brings salvation from those afflictions, We already have establish fellowship with Jesus through faith alone, and we may continiou to grow in pursuing an active fellowship with him through the Holy Spirit while we lived. The term 'imputed' is borrowed from Paul's letters. A doctrine that is questionable. Those who endure to the end will be saved. Self-consoling concepts are dangerous. I don't know of any other way to have the righteousness of Jesus and some one must have his righteousness to identified with him and be in right standing with the Father. Can that be achieved in any other way? We need the blood of the new covenant, is it not our sins cover with the blood of Jesus, by faith alone, when we believe? And if continiun to believe till the end of our life. And inspite if many trials to not let go of your faith. (do you know the testing, as a Jew and or Moslem that believes, some times cut off from all his family, and some times even today in our time is death). Philip, after explaining what happen to Jesus in Jerusalem and his resuraction, the Ethiopian said;"I believe that Jesus is the Son of God" and Philip baptize him. Did Philip baptize someone without having the righteousness of Jesus Christ? Did not the Ethiopian identifies with Jesus when he believed? Does not the scripture says, that the one with faith in Jesus is not afraid of death, his is under the banner (blood) of Jesus Christ. He does not definitely belongs to the Antichrist and his is not the child of the Devil. Tell how you see the whole picture, you have something good to say, then say it. I am not going to bite you. Your Brother Jesus is the way, the life and the truth. So, it is not one dimensional of mere belief. You need to believe Him, walk in His steps, suffer, sacrifice, share and serve. At the end God will say well done my son. It is a life long run to reach the goal set for you whether you like it or not! This a scripture that it means a lot for me, but not for a big part of my life, with faith in Jesus Christ. Just because I have been inlighted to desire to follow Jesus, but not to be save from Hell, because I was allready saved from Hell. But I wanted to lived in Gods will and be usefull to him, and that help me in my repentance of some things, and help me in renewing my mind, and I know that Jesus is recognizing that, cause he is the one, together with my self who help me in that achievement, I am quite and more than sure, that now, in this moment maybe telling me, well done "good fella", just to be humble, that was my wish to here him saying that to me, here in this life, I long to have this blessing, and he is able to make it happen. In the heavens also, and why does he has to wait for me to get there first, just to be proud in front of others, he can say that in heavens in his conversation with the Father, look at my beautiful and faithful children, they make me very happy. at the same time, I will never say to any one, "don't believe in Jesus unless, you ready to pick up your cross and follow him". Or your faith is not enough to be bought by the blood of Jesus Christ. In the contrary. I wil say , even if you are weak in the flesh or your strength Still beleive, even thought the devil may be buthering you, here on earth, but he want in heaven, I will say keep believing, and tell your children, follow the good in me, but not my weaknesses , till you learn better than me to follow Jesus. Are you God to claim that you are already saved based on some convenient verses? Your effort should continue till your last breath. There is no retirement in our salvation walk!. Saving is that of heavenly phenomenon. Picking up cross and following him was required of His disciples. If you can't, you still have a minor role to play that pleases Him. But that should be admitted by you. Thinking that you see and recognize your children has no solid scriptural backing. In what forms and shapes we all would be in a sex-less environment, we don't know! We are saved by faith only. Any works you can dream up to do will not help you gain salvation, only gain will be to be in a right relationship with Jesus. -
God makes clear in His response to Adam that it was to Adam He gave the command to. It would have been then Adam's responsibility as head of all creation to explain it to Eve. Did Adam explain it wrong? Or did Eve understand it wrong? Did she seek to make it more than it was because of the dire consequences of eating the fruit from that forbidden tree? We don't know. All we know is the command as given by God TO ADAM, Eve's representation of it which added something the scriptures do not tell us God said to Adam, and God reaffirming to whom He gave the command - to Adam, which would leave it at what scriptures tell us God said to Adam in the first place. If people want to be resistant to understanding how one can be deceived by satan because they misunderstand what God has said, there is nothing I or anyone else can do about that. Apparently, they both got it wrong by making the decision to disobey their authority . Well yes they both behaved wrong which is why the human race is fallen. But both did not equally behave wrong. The greater fault was Adam's. The scriptures do not treat all sins as of equal weight. In the New Testament, we are told this: 1 John 5 16If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. and with that change of direction I'll leave this conversation. God bless

Maybe I choose incorrect wording. Point is, Jesus told her to put the sin behind her by sinning no more. Turn and repent. Condemn the sin by putting it to death.

I agree. Jesus visited the tax collectors and sinners, sat with them, talked with them, ate with them, and was accused by the Pharisees for doing so. Matthew 9 10Then it happened that as Jesus was reclining at the table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His disciples.11When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, "Why is your Teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners?" 12But when Jesus heard this, He said, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick Matthew 5:46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? Matthew 11:19The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her deeds." Mark 216 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" 17And hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Luke 530 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?" 31And Jesus answered and said to them, "It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick Luke 152 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." 3So He told them this parable, saying, 4“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5“When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6“And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7“I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. The Pope does so as well, and he also is accused. yes Jesus sat with tax collectors and sinners. But didn't he always call for repentance? He didn't just ignore sin He didn't leave people feeling like they can continue in their sin. He exposed it. Go and sin no more. And neither of you know what went on behind the scenes, off camera. Since when is judging by only what is made public what we are called to do as followers of Christ? did the woman at the well go away saying Jesus did not condemn her sin of living with a man who was not her husband? Where does it say Jesus condemned her at all in any way? John 8 10Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” 11She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.” right,I said her sin

Again, Eve admitted she knew God said not to eat it. She willfully sinned. You are free to write your own novel but you can't change the bible.

No confusion can be proved. That is speculation.

Now you got it! Deceived, not confused! Deceived by temptation, still a choice to not submit to God.

She was part of the transgression, a participant "in" the transgression "with" Adam, but Adam, not being deceived, is the primary transgressor and why sin entered the human race. Notice Adam does not lay claim to being deceived, but to being given the fruit by Eve. She didn't deceive him or then this scripture in 1 Timothy 2:14 would be a lie. But Eve was deceived. Deception, beguilement, deceit, bluff, mystification and subterfuge are acts to propagate beliefs of things that are not true, or not the whole truth (as in half-truths or omission). Eve said to God: Gen 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. In Youngs Literal Translation it says this: 'The serpent hath caused me to forget -- and I do eat.' Other translations say "The serpent tricked me," “The serpent deceived me" "The Shining One misled me," I'm finding it curious that this distinction is not being admitted to by some, as if Eve is the primary cause of the fall of the human race, and it smacks of sexism to me. (I'm not referring to you ATGNAT ) lol. Now I see why you insist on what is not given in the text.

Pope came, pope met, pope waved, pope gave speeches about worldly stuff. What I want to know is did he at any time point out where our only hope lies? Pope left. I didn't watch any coverage so maybe I missed him preaching repentance, preaching Jesus. I hope there was something good in all this!

One can be disobedient and confused at the same time hmbld. That would be adding to scripture. I believe what I read in scripture.

Great. She was disobedient, not confused.

So God failed to disclose that piece of information from Adam when He gave the command about the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? And you don't think her confusion played into how satan was able to deceive her? I'm not seeing any confusion. Eve stated she knew God said not to eat of it. What do you call Eve saying God said not to touch the fruit or they would die? I call it adding to the knowledge that she knew it was against God's word to eat of it, so much so that she may of thought it was wrong to even touch it. Knowing it is wrong, is, well, knowing it is wrong. What more can I say? So she thought it was wrong to even touch it - even though it wasn't wrong to touch it. Does that not demonstrate confusion as to what God actually said? Confuse means: to fail to distinguish between; associate by mistake; confound: Did she not fail to distinguish between what God actually said and what He didn't say? Did she not associate words to God's command by mistake? If something is a sin, would it not be a good idea to stay away from such a sin, and not touch it? Temptation should also be avoided. The decision to sin was not confusion, but a willful decision not to submit to God. Well if you would rather not talk about the finer details which expose the devices of the enemy, that's ok. From Matthew Henry's commentary: He promises advantage from their eating this fruit. He aims to make them discontented with their present state, as if it were not so good as it might be, and should be. No condition will of itself bring content, unless the mind be brought to it. He tempts them to seek preferment, as if they were fit to be gods. Satan ruined himself by desiring to be like the Most High, therefore he sought to infect our first parents with the same desire, that he might ruin them too. And still the devil draws people into his interest, by suggesting to them hard thoughts of God, and false hopes of advantage by sin. Let us, therefore, always think well of God as the best good, and think ill of sin as the worst evil: thus let us resist the devil, and he will flee from us. Temptation, not confusion.

then why does God lay the sin at the feet of Adam.... says that Eve was deceived.. any way you look at this the Bible firmly places the fault of the fall of mankind at the feet of Adam. Eve was deceived, I took exception to the statement she was confused. I agree with you.
