  1. I see a couple things I dont like. One is I do not like judges making the call of something being unconstitutional. If something become law by vote of people a judge should not be able to change the law. second is anytime a judge tries to change law in a case like this it wont be long til it gets changed by higher judges even if the people want to keep the law they force a change. A good example is prop 8 in Calif. the people voted for it to be law and judges struck it down; so where does that leave " by the people "
  2. http://christiannews.net/2014/06/17/churchgoing-alabama-appeals-court-judges-unanimously-strike-down-ban-on-sodomy/ This reminds me of another thread I posted in recently. People ( Christians ) are beginning to accept the wrong things as ok.
  3. I would make him pay the cost of investigation with after school work.
  4. The vote wont much matter, like prop 8 proved they can kill the vote if they want something different than those who elected them.
  5. It may be you and I have a different understanding of what friendship is. Being a friend, being social, being civil are not all the same in my opinion. I have posted to be civil to homosexuals and to be social with them on a non-intimate non-frienship level. Friendship goes beyond social or civil relations. One must be able to tell them apart. 2nd Corin 6:17 Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD The above verse is a new testament guideline we are not to change, take away or add to it. Unbelievers are not Gods friends John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 1st Corin 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Be civil and to a certain extent social; but a friendship i do not see in these verses. Most of my friends over the years have been non-Christian. I do not feel guilt over that. From what I have seen, I find it very hard to come across people in life who are true Christians. In fact outside of church, I have come across maybe a handful of people whom I know to be true Christians. I understand LadyKay we just have a different outlook on certain verses as most Christians do not see every verse the same. I will not let my differences hinder trying to be friends with you. I explained my outlook on this and so have you. God has put instructions in each of our hearts that may not be the same. Im ok with that.

  7. Not exatly by those words, but I do believe we'll see people recieving what they wanted (the wages of sin is death). We are in our glorified bodies sitting on the right hand of Jesus, but for some reason we're crying. God wipes away our tears afterwards and no longer shall we experience saddness. Truth is sometimes hard to grasp whether in our own lives or in others (lost) but Love still remains. I dont recall the bible saying we sit on right hand side of Jesus. can you give more details?
  8. Do not befriend them? Is this what it means to be a Christian? I am sorry, but I will befriend anyone who needs my friendship. How could I not? How could I turn someone in need of friendship away and still call myself a follower of Christ? Do not befriend them? Is this what it means to be a Christian? I am sorry, but I will befriend anyone who needs my friendship. How could I not? How could I turn someone in need of friendship away and still call myself a follower of Christ? I can see you never read these verses in the Bible so I post them so you can see for yourself AND explain me wrong. Eph 5:11 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 2nd Tim 3 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2nd John 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2nd Corin 6 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk inthem; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 1st Corin 5: 6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavenedbread of sincerity and truth. 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. Here is what the bible says word for word please explain to me how it does not mean what it says. Im ready to learn how I have the wrong idea about these verses.
  9. I would keep my job as you say its hard times in the job market, if you are uncomfortable there find a job before you tell them so you have a place to go. You can work with them and have non work related conversations thats ok. If you find yourself uncomfortable around a conversation just excuse yourself say you have to check on something or going to rest room anything like that so as not to be a part of the conversation that offends you. I think befriending them is more like inviting them to join you every Friday night to eat out. Or something like going boating with them, or regularly going to a movie with them. I have worked around those people before, it was what I had to do. I do not have to hang out with them on my off duty time.
  10. It seems to me verse 4,6,8,10,11,12 are clear. without naming people what is their view?
  11. I believe one can work with them and can do business with them. One should bring up Jesus asap and if they are not interested or try to change scripture then have nothing to do with them. This means do not befriend them. I may misunderstand what I read, if so correct me. Prov 23:6---14:7---24:21 Eph 5:11 James 4:4 2nd Tim 3: 1-5 2nd Thess 3: 6 & 14-15 2nd John 1:9-11 2nd Corin 6:14-18 1st Corin 5:6-11
  12. Just a thought; it is possible to have several little boys before a little girl comes along, would that be ok also?
  13. The KJV that I use says this: And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. Other versions change this "consume away" Consume away Strongs 4529 Original Word: מָסָה ... Word Origin a prime root. Definition to melt, dissolve, be liquefied. A primitive root; to dissolve -- make to consume away, (make to) melt, water. I think this sounds closer to what it means because of the underlined phrase. If there were a nuclear bomb or any type of extreme heat/fire there would be immediate melting I think that it takes time to rot/decay so for me that does not sound like the right word.
  14. I find the biggest problem with road problems is this: they give a license to any one that has money to pay for it. To many people can not park or back up safely, some can not drive forward safely. To many people doing 35 in a 45 or 55 on a 70 mph road. Many times i have been behind one person in the right and left lane both were side by side doing 5 to 10 mph slower than posted speed.Today I had to go see a doctor an hour drive at 55 which was the speed limit. I came upon a guy doing 50mph I stayed behind because was not safe to pass there were two signs we passed saying slower traffic move to right lane ahead. They had built a passing lane ( and two signs that said passing lane ahead ) just long enough to pass slower traffic this guy stayed in the fast lane after seeing two signs to move to the left and two passing lane signs so everyone had to pass in the slow lane. It was not big a deal to pass in slow lane but it just shows one example of an idiot on the road not following the signs posted. When I was in Orlando a big deal broke about traffic jams on interstate 4 going through town. they talked about building more lanes because it was already at the bottom speed of the state guide lines of 30 during heavy traffic. Eventually they came up with the solution to lower the state guide lines from 30 to 20 through Orlando that way they did not need to build lanes and everyone was within the state guide lines. another thing is all the signs are English way to many people have license but can not read or write many test are given in spanish or other languages so they can sell the license and get the money and put a person on the road that took the test in some other language than the signs or printed in.
  15. Ecc 8: 17 Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
  16. dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/american-english/void_1 - View by Ixquick Proxy - Highlight void;;; noun (EMPTY SPACE) - definition, audio pronuncation and more for void noun (EMPTY SPACE): a space with nothing in it: See more in American English As seen in Genesis 1:2 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Im thinking it does say
  17. And maybe more people might have evolved rational brains able to comprehend the world around them in logical terms. Haven't seen too many of those either. It takes many millions of years, Coheir. Your response shows a real lack of understanding. They claim men have been around for 2.5 millions of years. Its more of a lack of belief in evolution.
  18. All this evolving; seems like mountain people would have evolved hoofs to make life easier and city people would have evolved wheels of some sort instead of feet to better their life in the city. Desert prople would evole pads on feet to better travel the sand. Havent seen it yet though.
  19. .God is my Father.I used to refer to my Dad as my father but I always called my earthly father 'Daddy".......but priests,yeah-I don't like it at all . I kind of cringe when hear it,I also feel as you do,that it is irreverant to our Heavenly Father This is probably stupid because I will call upon God as "Abba"(which means Daddy really) but have a friend that refers to God as "Daddy" & it drives me nuts,I just feel that it is not respectful enough to ALMIGHTY GOD!!!!.....I don't say anything ,she is a very good friend of mine & she does know how I feel and I know how she is passionate for our Lord but I just don't like it.Hey,I even cringe when I see God spelled with a small "g" ,LOL,or satan spelled with a capital "S"(just my 2 cents) With love-in Christ ,Kwik mat 23:9 tells me I have one Father also known as God the Father. It does not say I have a Dad or Daddy named God. It also does not say I have a husband named God. On earth I have a Dad or Daddy; in Heaven I have the one and only Father.
  20. yes kwik it s something. thanks for understanding my post. things are changing in this world.
  21. http://www. worthynews.com/redirect.php?url=http://feeds.foxnews.com/~r/foxnews/politics/~3/fRq37DiNoDY/ the liberals were ok with mandated homosexual reading. Now they are mad over a mandate to to teach the Constitution.
  22. Dont forget obama is doing his part, keeping US oil from being drilled in the Gulf while giving permission to Mexico to drill there
  23. That is what is happening in the world,,,,,there are no more villages,,,,,how many of your neighbors do you know?God help us all With love in Christ,Kwik It was like that and at one time I can the use of the phrase for that time. Only the meaning of the phrase has changed in todays world. Mantras of the 90's (#1) New Series for '97 A mantra is defined as -- "...simply a word or phrase which, when repeated, influences the human mind." 1 In keeping with this, advertising slogans and jingles are mantras. The term is more generally used to describe those chants used in yoga or Oriental mystery religions. Transcendental Meditation is essentially a mantric art. When you are taught TM, you are given a personal mantra - a couple of words, or a phrase that may or may not have meaning. The alleged purpose is to get in tune with your "personal vibrations." Various phrases are associated with Buddhism; one common mantra is translated, "Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus." In the Islamic religion, there is the common mantra: "Hua allahu alazi lailaha illa Hua," which is translated, "He is God and there is no other God than He." Mantras became popular because of their usefulness in creating alleged changes in consciousness. They are an integral part of Eastern religions and the current New Age school of thought. In our society, there are certain sayings or slogans that take on great power and influence merely through repetition. For Example ... "It Takes A Village" About a year ago a new book was released by Mrs. Clinton. It is about children, and what she believes it takes to raise them. In her view, "It Takes A Village." Actually, she did not coin the phrase. It is an oft-repeated African proverb which has become the mantra of every international women's conference (Cairo, Beijing). The phrase captures the view championed by feminists and the "politically correct police." The original African slogan was offered from the context of the ideal group of people surrounding a child and contributing to his early education and training: grandparents, friends, teachers and others who in many ways supplement the primary care and oversight of the parents. Mrs. Clinton grants that "parents bear the first and primary responsibility for their sons and daughters." Then, in her description of this "village," she goes far beyond friends, neighbors and extended family to include all the agencies, government projects and social institutions she advocates. One reviewer said, "By the end of the book, it appears that Mrs. Clinton has never met a government program she didn't like," (Kerby Anderson). 2 What is needed to raise children? Must parents depend upon day care centers, educrats, bureacrats and humanistic programs? It takes a sense of obligation and respect toward God. There are certain things we do for our children, and basic needs we provide for them, unconditionally, because we have made a commitment to God as parents. We bear the responsibility of parents, because we have made an earlier decision to please the Lord. "Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it," (Psa. 127:1). It takes love. There is a natural affection, a love parents have for their children that is unlike any other relational bond. In the absence of this love ("without natural affection," Rom. 1:31), the best village enjoys little power in raising children. Children need fathers and mothers who love them (Titus 2:4). It takes moral conviction. If we put up with rudeness and defiance; if we just "let them" act out of rebellion and selfishness, we demonstrate no moral courage and further - our tolerance of their rudeness only produces more of the same in them. On the basis of obligation to God and the moral conviction and courage that produces, we will set high goals, resist lawlessness and accompany all our efforts with prayer. It takes patience. Sometimes we will find ourselves under tremendous pressure to give up; to run out of patience, and assume the worst possible fate for our children. Throughout God's word we are repeatedly told that people who have made mistakes can resurrect their lives from wrongdoing, be forgiven and change. Even after horrible mistakes and long struggles, young people can change, mature, repent and make us proud. "Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged," (Col. 3:21). It takes the influence of Godly examples. When the apostle Paul remembered the faith of Timothy, he immediately thought of two great women who had illustrated faith in God to Timothy from his infancy. Paul wrote to Timothy, and commended his faith, "...which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded in you also ... that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus," (2 Tim. 1:5 & 2 Tim. 3:15). "Hillary Clinton says it takes a village to raise a child, but the real 'village' is founded on strong parents, supported by family, friends, churches, schools and the local community. Big government isn't a village. And bureaucrats in Washington are not better able to make decisions for children than loving parents. The village must be an environment in which families are supported and strengthened. The problem today IS the village. Cultural pollution, crime, violence, liberal government policies, sexually explicit images, unresponsive educators, and anti-faith bigotry are among the 'village forces' that work against families trying to teach their children right from wrong and trying to give them a sense of the American dream." 3 Body, Mind & Spirit, by Eileeen Campbell & J.H. Brennan; 1994, Charles E. Tuttle Company, Inc. p.#145,146. Kerby Anderson quote from the computer homepage of Dallas/Ft. Worth Heritage. She is an author, broadcaster, and CEO of Probe Ministries, Richardson, TX. Gary Bauer (quoted in Family Research Council News, Jan. 29, 1996).
  24. Things are getting bad and I agree with most of what I have heard. However two things I do not agree with is the saying; "It takes a village to raise a child." and "facts of what really happened" I believe this is "One world Government" talk. Used a lot by hillary clinton God could have but did not create a village; and I read no where he wants the village you live in to raise your kids. It is a Family thing to raise kids. Gods gift to a husband and wife not included is the government. "It takes a village to raise a child" is code for government intrusion into how you raise your OWN child. Which will start soon, it is, to my understanding, they have already decided to assign a case worker to ALL 4 year olds in the USA. No matter if you are a good or bad parent also it is a way for the worker to find out stuff in your life about you from a 4 or 5 year old that will tell all he/she knows about home life. Like does your parent make you pray or say grace could be questions ask of a child. Sorry kwik I diagree on this; also if the news did not print the facts we would have to guess at how bad are those facts and most would say those facts not printed probably were not as bad as they say. Its not always good what we read but the facts let us know what we are up against without facts we really would not know just how bad it is in this world.
