You could also argue that Israel didn't become a nation until 1967 because that's when she got Jerusalem back which is more official in God's eyes than any U.N. recognition. However, not to split hairs, I think we are in the last generation too. Yes it could be either date for sure. I was just reading another thread about Christians being mistreated in so many countries and the US was not on the list and should be. christians have had a good run for a very long time and I see that good time ending very soon. Jesus told us we would be persecuted and I see that now taking place on a fairly large scale.

I think it is about time to see things like this. I look at it that Israel became a nation in 1948. God gave 120 year life span (generation) I see todays generation as the last. side note from 1948 to 2014 is 66 years; my personal belief is at most we have 54 years left in this generation. and we are told God most likely will cut that short. Matt 24:22 so probably less than 54 years.

Everyone is born with blue eyes because it takes awhile before melanin is deposited in a human eye.I do not know if Jesus was an exception.Ofcourse a babies eyes can change color in a couple of days but all babies eyes are blue when they are born. yes, I read where it could take up to a year for them to change or stay blue. but this was no baby Jesus he describes. when I was in the area I would say most had brown eyes and a few had a dark green not like most green one would see in America more of a darker green. Not disputing his post just posting my thoughts. We will have to wait until we meet Him face to face before we will know what color His eyes are.Or we won't care because we will be in such awe. exactly

an easy way to repair those seals is to put a lot of silicone from a tube on top of the old seal. then cover it with wax paper close and the next day just pull the wax paper off and trim up excess with razor. it will seal a car door ( done it ) or a dishwasher door. I once worked at old apartment complex and we could not get door seals for the old dishwashers so we covered the seal with silicone then the wax paper closed next day pull of wax paper trim and the dishwasher never leaked again. just a thought.

Predestination on the death bed. Free will on the death bed. So if God has set a specific time to die is it wrong to go to a specialist and fight against this pre-determined date. Most everyone does fight against dying. if a person seeks out the best specialist is he doing it under Gods actions in his life or is he using free will to fight his determined date of death.

My thoughts take me in the opposite direction. I believe God is capable of seeing the past, present and future. Yes he gave each one of us free will and he can look at our life in the past, present or future any time to see what our free will choices are doing in our lives. I believe he has the power to step in if he wants to for any of us. He gave us 120 years as the most one can live. So if you are raised in the right environment you may make it 120 years or just 91 years. On the other hand if your environment is much different you may leave this world anywhere between 1 day on earth up to 120 years. When two people are placed on earth in identical situations the out come of that environment is not always the same. If two are raised in an abusive home one grows to think it is ok and cares it into their adult life the other sees how bad it is a vows not to let that be a part of their adult life. God said the sins of the father would be visited upon the children. I take that to me some children will follow in their fathers footsteps and continue to sin others wont. Many young people die today from alcohol; I do not think God appointed that young person to get drunk and drive at 16 years and 201 days old. Whether that person learned getting drunk from father and uncles or the person never was around anyone drunk and was talked into trying it for the first time by their peers. I believe God gave us free will; that freewill can be mis-used and can cause early death or it can teach one not to go there again and prevent an untimely death. I do not think God micro manages free will in the human being. Our free will is open for us to come to God or reject him. Our free will can determine if overdose on drugs at 15. Our free will can also help us to live a long healthy life.

Im not as up on this subject as most who have posted here. I do have a take on the slavery issue. There is one type that may have been taken slave during a fight or war; the few who survived would be made slave. Also there were types that maybe came to a wealthy person and got several types of food over a period of time and could not pay back so they willingly became slave to that person to 1 survive and 2 to pay back what they owed. and after a certain time was set free. Im thinking if there is slavery it would be of the second type.
