  1. Where did you read that? I'm not commenting on Martin Luther King, I'm commenting on the word of God. I don't follow humans, I follow the Word of God, Jesus Christ, who is our example. Since Jesus Christ is the example we have to follow, why should a Christian look at anyone else as an example? 1 Peter 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. Perhaps you misunderstood my comment. Yes, we are to make disciples of people, but we are not to involve ourselves in the things of the world. John 15:19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
  2. I think these verses may help bring some understanding to your question: 1 Corinthians 2:11 For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
  3. Not certain what Martin Luther King has to do with God's commandments. Jesus Christ commands us to follow the Laws of Almighty God, not humans. Here's a scripture that tells all Christians what their fate will be if they truly follow Christ: Revelation 13:7 The beast….It was given power to wage war against God's holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. Matthew 16:25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. Perhaps people need to come to the realization that the example that Jesus Christ gave us signifies that we must be willing to die for our faith in the same way that he died, like a sheep led to the slaughter, without lifting a finger against the enemy. Additionally, Jesus Christ never instructed his followers to change the world, why? John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
  4. Interesting post. Do you think that the end of Satan's system will come in the summer?
  5. Anyone who follows Jesus must be prepared to endure the same trials that Jesus endured, including death at the hands of their persecutors. John 15:20 Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. Revelation 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Matthew 20:23 You don't know what you are asking," Jesus said to them. "Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?" "We can," they answered. Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father." To reiterate, Jesus Christ commanded in Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven... John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. We must become followers of Jesus Christ in The Way that he taught us.
  6. I have found that praying the Lord's Prayer in the morning and in the evenings helps, because it contains a request for deliverance from evil.
  7. LOL. Don't worry, Almighty God is in control. Luke 12:25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Well, since you asked I’ll tell you what Jesus Christ said and which is written in the Bible: Jesus gave his disciples 3 commands: Love God above all else Love your neighbor as yourself Love each other as he loved us, which means that we should be willing to give up our lives as he gave up his life for us Where in those three commandments would any person think they have the right to kill another human being. The second commandment is a deterrent that should prevent any true Christian from hurting another human. If you love your neighbor as yourself, you would never hurt your neighbor because you would never hurt yourself. The only person who would hurt themselves is a sick person, thus, a Christian would have to be sick before he could hurt another person. Additionally, it is written in Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. If a Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit, which fruit of the Holy Spirit would allow him to kill another human or to condone such behavior? I think it’s unconscionable and a disgrace to the body of Christ that anyone calling themselves a Christian would condone the killing of another human. Yes, the laws of this country are corrupt because they have been corrupted by special interest groups who are looking out for their own interests instead of the common good. That is why we pray for the Kingdom of God to come because there is no kingdom on Earth that can compare to it.
  9. The Healing at the Pool John 5:14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” 15The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well.
  10. I wouldn't worry too much about a caliphate because the Word of God states that it is Almighty God who establishes the governments. Romans 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves

Yes, George Zimmerman is guilty because he chose to take matters into his own hands and initiated the whole sequence of events that led to Trayvon Martin's death. If George Zimmerman would have followed police instruction, Trayvon Martin would be alive today. Suffice it to say that taking a human life is killing, regardless if the person got off on a technicality due to a corrupt system of laws. I neither trust nor listen to any mainstream media and I don't allow anyone to feed me lies.

Were you? Not sure what OJ has to do with Zimmerman. As a matter of fact, I'm the same race as Zimmerman, half white/half hispanic and I don't believe anything he says. That's hilarious. Really? You have to ask that question? You really believe that jurors don't have biases? People keep mentioning the OJ trial as if that jury was corrupt or stupid or biased. And, yes, I agree that "every soul should be subject to the governing authorities." But it doesn't mean that I have to swallow their lies.

Appears as if the only one who acted as a mob was George Zimmerman, who went out patrolling with a gun on his person.

Please don't compare our Lord and Savior, who was led like a sheep to the slaughter, to a person such as George Zimmerman. George Zimmerman reminds me of the father of the lie: John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yes, just received this insight while re-reading this bible verse. Killing and lying appear to go hand-in-hand, thus, I refuse to believe the lies of a killer. Exactly!!!!! Don't know where you're living, but the U.S. has become one of the most corrupt places on Planet Earth.

George Zimmerman's version of the incident is all hearsay and is not gospel. I refuse to believe the words of a killer who has no respect for the sanctity of human life.
  16. If Islam is the enemy, then all Christians should start loving and praying for them as Jesus Christ instructed: Matthew 5:43 You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Yes, if you understand what is written in Luke, it was to fulfill the prophecy about Jesus Christ being numbered with the transgressors. He did not tell his apostles to go kill anyone. And yes I am correct about the apostles never lifting a hand against their aggressors. In the instance you mentioned, Peter was trying to protect Jesus Christ. After the apostles saw how Christ willingly gave his life, they followed his example and never lifted a hand against any of their aggressors. Secondly, if you read the account of Peter drawing the sword as written in Matthew 26:52, Jesus rebuked Peter, "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword." This is an obvious rebuke and warning against violence.

The basic fact, without any embellishments, is an innocent young man was killed and the corrupt laws and corrupt judicial system in this country allowed a guilty man to go free. Jesus Christ never advocated nor would he condone killing another human being in so-called "self-defense." Nowhere in the Bible did any of the apostles or Jesus Christ's disciples lift a hand against their aggressors. Jesus Christ advocated loving our enemies and praying for those who persecute us. Matthew 5:43 You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Acts 7:55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56“Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” 57At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, 58dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.

So speaks a person who's never been the victim of racial prejudice. Believe it or not, racial prejudice is alive and kicking in Florida and many other parts of this country. I pray to Almighty God that his Kingdom arrive as soon as possible to stop all the racial inequalities and prejudices that exist and are practiced in this world, including by some who call themselves Christians but do not follow Christ in any way.
  21. 1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
  22. Don't allow another human to force you to do something that you don't want to do. Research all the assistance options you have in your community. Find other fellow believers in your community who could assist you in some way. Perhaps you can share an apartment with someone or rent a room from someone. There are many other options besides joining the job corps.
