  1. All U.S. citizens should have the rights which are allowed by the constitution. Rights are not granted to only those we agree with.
  2. I think it is great that the bikers are taking a stand. This is what civil disobedience is. But, I can't help wonder what type of reaction everyone would have if it were a group whose ideas we did not agree with who were violating the permit law?
  3. Interesting. If you dig deeper you will find that the states which pay no personal income tax also receive more money from the federal government than those who do not. This means that these states pay no personal income tax , but instead make ends meet by receiving federal funds taken from states that do pay personal income taxes. There are exceptions, but this is the general rule. If you look at southern republican states, you will see that they receive more tax revenue than they pay in, while democratic states such as New Jersey and New York receive less than they pay in. This is called redistribution of wealth.
  4. I am proud of the consistancy the liberals are showing here. We were against going into the Bush wars and we are against any Obama wars.
  5. You are confusing two different things. Christianity is a religion. Jewish is an ethnic group. A Jewish person can practice Christianity, or Buddhism, or be an atheist. Or they can practice Judaism. They still remain Jewish no matter which religion they practice. A Christian is a person who practices Christianity as their belief system. A Christian (believer in Jesus), can be Black, White, Oriental, Native American, or they can be Jewish, Irish, Italian, Egyptian, Gypsy/Romani, etc etc etc. I guess it depends on who you ask. Practicing Jews do not accept the term Messianic Jew. One can not be a devout Christian and a devout Jew. Judaism is a religion as is Christianity. They are opposing beliefs. Jews were not thought of as a race before the Nazis and their genocidal predecessors. Making the term "Jewish" a race instead of a religion was a lie perpetrated by those who wanted to justify "genocide."
  6. Hi Ingrid. I am wondering, did you read the article or just the headline? Headlines don't always give the correct impression of what is going on. Also, there's a difference between trying to influence foreign policy of another nation when their own nation is at stake in the matter, and that of another nation trying to influence how your nation runs its internal affairs. Did you read the article I posted? It wasn't about internal affairs either. I believe our relationship with Iran involves our nation being at stake.
  7. Israel does try to influence how the U.S. runs it's foreign policy. I think as long as Israel accepts so much aid from the U.S., they have to listen to our concerns. I left home at the age of 21 and stopped taking hand outs from my parents so I could make my own decisions.
  8. joi, From what I understand, we are trying to make this a Christian nation. It comes down to a race of whose theocracy gets there first.
  9. You are so right. Everyone in prison guilty, all the Japanese in America and Jews in Germany during WWII were outright criminals.
  10. There isn't a raptured, but I am glad that I am grafted in and am now a part of Israel.
  11. I heard that Christ went to the lands that did not know about him so that those poor souls did not go to hell. It is not fair that someone go to hell because they lived in a primitive society with no knowledge.
