  1. 17 pages of breast feeding dialog I'd say that pretty much falls into the category of a christian bureaucracy in progress.
  2. I having the same issue I can't view my own content ether.
  3. I don't find it hard to believe at all. Some 25+ years ago I found myself newly divorced and had absolutely nothing. I was living in S Cal and decided I would hitchhike back to IA to get back on my feet again. I took a ride from a truck driver in Grand Junction CO into Kansas he wasn't going to follow the interstate but instead took a primary highway, the result was I got stuck in the middle of Kansas on a two lane highway. I took up a place at the edge of town where I was close to a church about a block off the main road, the doors were unlocked and I could get water and use the bathroom. The first morning I went to the coffee shop for some coffee and a doughnut, A farmer asked if I wanted to work so I spent the better part of the day cutting weeds out of one of his soybean fields, that put a few more dollars in my pocket, I never pan handled. The next three days I spent sitting listening to radio sermons and reading my bible as the locals drove by and looked like at me like I was a freak from the circus. To make a long story short I went to that church several times a day and at night, never once did I meet or see anyone. The people knew what I was doing where I was sleeping the whole 9 yards, not one person ever stopped or even talked to me. Finally a sheriff came by and asked me some questions and mentioned that people were worried about me, that was news to me they didn't seem the least bit concerned for me, I suspect they were concerned for themselves. But the sheriff got on his radio and a short time latter he told me to get in the car, he gave me a ride to the county line where the next count sheriff picked me up and took me to a place that bought me a ticket to my destination. No it doesn't and wouldn't surprise me one bit to see that story played out for real. This town was probable about 4000 people and I know good and well everyone in town knew about the hitchhiker out on the highway sleeping and washing up in the church. Yet I never meet a single member and was instead expecting to find the door locked at some point but that never happened.
  4. What it boils down to is the pro homosexual christian believes that the translation is based on temple prostitution, God is against HS when it's done in said fashion. This is where the love doctrine comes in, they believe, and it was largely introduced by Walter Winks, that homosexuals that love is perfectly acceptable in Gods economy. I've meet and witness to a number of them. Love trumps sin, it's a very ingenious approach. I as well as Betero have seen the same message that loving others is the only perceptive a Christian should be concerned with. It's been my observation that this is very near leading to a new age type philosophy. I don't see Jesus expressing this type of love that is talked about in the accounts of the gospels. He didn't mince words with people that manipulated or rejected the presentation of God. I don't want to take your thread off into left field, but since you are discussing the Queen James Version Bible, I want to add this. It is because of this kind of abomination that I won't use anything but the original King James Bible. It is not the only reason, but it is one big reason. Too many of the new translations have an agenda behind them, and it isn't always to give us the most accurate Word of God. I am not one who believes that those who use new translations are of the devil or unsaved. I just don't trust them. I could go further, but I will leave it with that because we have had more than enough debates over Bible translations. With the use of computized bibles I find it very easy to compare versions as well as carry my library on my android phone which includes strongs numbers and several comentaries. I have noticed the slant in translations. For taking the thread off topic don't worry about it, but not only was my original post addressing the gay movment under the banner of love, I also hint at the churches using the same montra that love is all that matters or being "non judgemental" is more to the point. Just google "new age is a non judgmental religion" or here is a link that speaks about it http://www.letusreason.org/current86.htm But people just don't want to talk about how these things that effect churches, what is taught and the very laws that are under revision, it requires effort and observation, as well as comparing what is said with what you read and understand for yourself. That is the core issue no matter where it might lead, it certainly leading to a silencing of churches reguarding gays. Being a Non judgemental church is the politicaly correct church of today. Many just don't care so long as it doesn't effect there own little world, I often wounder how their faith would weather a storm if they were sudenly striped of all the worldly comforts they enjoy, like a job and a place to live as well as there nested finacual security. It's an easy thing to say you have faith it's quite another to walk the walk.

  6. I'm sorry you gather that from my post, as far as the point I believe you're referring to is the fact that gays are trying to rewrite laws as well as the bible. If you don't consider that an assault on the bible as well as Christianity or Gods view of right from wrong then I suppose we simply disagree. As a matter of fact I explicitly pointed out that gays should not be viewed as and resolved as a group but as individuals, I would think that a comforting statement to pro homosexuals, At lest that was my intent in my opening statements. I believe God will deal with each person be they gay or straight based on the condition of the heart and what they truly know. As well as how they responded to the HS I sugest you read a bit about Walt Wink as well as the new Queen James bible, anyone that doesn't see the effect legilation favoring gays has and will have on the church is simply living under a rock "doesn't watch current events"
  7. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding I was baptized in Greg's church in 1979 at age 21, when he was still in the small chapel, He was giving something like 6 Sunday services to accommodate the over flow, and shortly after they began building the chapel next door. My statement My comment was the potential results with associating yourself with another organization, you may not have a problem with the Gram organization squashing the Mormon as a cult church a month before the election but I do. Now what's that going to do for Greg's message when Franklin is partnered with him at the next Harvest crusade? Billy Gram was founded as an Evangelist same as Greg it's no wounder that the Gram Asst gravitates towards the successful evangelist today JMO. The only thing that never made sense as a young bible gulping christian was the pre trib rapture. It's taught in all the CC that I know of and Chuck and Hale Lindsey have known each other for years. It not a matter of salvation or a salvation breaker but it does effect the way people read the bible especially the NT. I personally belive the 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled and that Dan 9:27 is speaking of Christ not the anti-christ.
  8. I agree and I'm concerned not for myself but for those that can't enter threw the narrow door and resolve the issues found in scripture, instead they do as I described, they ether love in every situation or judge in every situation, regarding the whole context of different people with-in a stereo type. God as I understand Him is a one on one type of God, and we should have the same attitude looking at people as individuals instead of a group. By simply placing love in every situation beside this. 1 Cor 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. Indicates love is not the whole story Proverbs 21:2 2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. Proverbs 8 Wisdom’s Call 8 Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? 2 At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; 3 beside the gate leading into the city, at the entrance, she cries aloud: 4 “To you, O people, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind. 5 You who are simple, gain prudence; you who are foolish, set your hearts on it.[a] 6 Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right. 7 My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness. 8 All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. 9 To the discerning all of them are right; they are upright to those who have found knowledge. 10 Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, 11 for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. 12 “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. 13 To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. 14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight, I have power. 15 By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; 16 by me princes govern, and nobles—all who rule on earth.[b] 17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. 18 With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity. 19 My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. 20 I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice, 21 bestowing a rich inheritance on those who love me and making their treasuries full.
  9. I've been reading many of the topics here and I see no one making a distinction in people that fall under the gay heading. Where all probably familiar with being pigeon holed by people that have an opinion or experience with others called Christians. It is the same I'm sure with gays, as it is with most people that fall under a heading. I find it difficult to fall into ether camp, one camp is the love your brother and the other is reject willful disobedience. The truth is both are doctrines found in the bible and we need to understand how to make that distinction. There are two types of homosexuals one is practicing something that perhaps the HS is convincing them of. The other is a type of Walter Wink that looks to change the bible and have homosexuality labeled as "loving", as not being a sin. Some of you may know that there is now a Queen James Version of the bible that address what I just mentioned, Walter Wink was strong advocate behind the QJV bible and his message is love in every situation. I just want to point out that I see no forgiveness for an unrepentant heart in scripture, because the Gay agenda has and will effect Christianity I think it important that we understand the different types of people that fall under the definition gay or lesbian. As well, the assault on the body of Christ, it will come carrying a shied of love or I should say under the protection of the shield of love, you can take that to the bank. As we already know anyone that disagrees to accept such is a hater. I suggest you all consider how you're going to deal and address that breaching of the wall. I wrote this as an observation, after dealing with those that practice the Walter Wink type of christian homosexuality found in the Queen James bible, the frontal assault is caring a shield of love all the while denying homosexuality is a sin.
  10. Isaiah 5 20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight! 22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink, 23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe, and deprive the innocent of his right! James 1 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
  11. I suppose that the house coffee is probably that $50 a cup Black Ivory brand made from elephant dung. Thank goodness us poor folk can't afford the refined taste that conosurs enjoy LOL They could have the monthly double dung special all for only $220 what a deal.
  12. It would seem there sole responsibility is to keep there thumb on working peoples head while pocketing the profits for themselves, You can find these research numbers everywhere. Average workers wages for the last 30 years haven't even kept up with the cost of inflation yet corporate wages have increased by 400% according to this graph some estimate it's as much as 800% so this graph is conservative. In the 50's and 60's most any married man, average worker, could afford to support a family and buy a modest home "not on welfare", today a single man is lucky to afford an apartment and a car. Today on these wages a man and woman with children making less than say 35,000 qualifies for financial aid. The minimum wage should have reached 21.72 an hour in 2012 if it kept up with increases in worker productivity, according to a March study by the Center for Economic and Policy Research. While advancements in technology have increased the amount of goods and services that can be produced in a set amount of time, wages have remained relatively flat, the study points out. Even if the minimum wage kept up with inflation since it peaked in real value in the late 1960s, low-wage workers should be earning a minimum of $10.52 an hour, according to the study. All the while taxes for the higher wage earners has dropped so the numbers don't lie, but the precept that Ronald Reagan brought to the conservative party shows that putting money in the pockets of the rich doesn't equate to better quality of earned income for the working class. Not to mention that huge corporations in many case pay zero taxes. – 26 of the 30 companies continued to enjoy negative federal income tax rates. That means they still made more money after tax than before tax over the four years! – Of the remaining four companies, three paid four year effective tax rates of less than 4 percent (specifically, 0.2%, 2.0% and 3.8%). One company paid a 2008-11 tax rate of 10.9 percent. – In total, 2008-11 federal income taxes for the 30 companies remained negative, despite $205 billion in pretax U.S. profits. Overall, they enjoyed an average effective federal income tax rate of –3.1 percent over the four years. Amongst the 30 are corporate titans such as General Electric, Boeing, Verizon, and Mattel. The only four companies that slipped into positive tax territory were DTE Energy, Honeywell, Wells Fargo, and DuPont, with DuPont the only one that paid more than 4 percent over the four years.
  13. That could be anyone in any church. My point was that anyone of the caliber of Billy Gram, that would remove Mormonism from there definition as a cult "from their website", to support a political candidate is serving two masters. Just my opinion, others will see it differently I'm sure. I've personally never meet the man, there partnership with Chuck Smith is through Greg L and Franklin G not Chuck S and Billy G. From the very beginning Greg had an anointing as an evangelist, he's not particularly a great "in depth" teacher. Because of this the Gram asst is rather bonded to the Calvary Chapel founded by Chuck and grown threw Greg. Chuck broke away from religious organizations to found one of the first non denominationals only to IMO in these latter years to fall back into organized religion. The only reason I mention it is because I know a little bit about the history and early founding of Calvary Chapel, at the time my mentor for lack of a better term chose Gregs church as a safe place to establish foundational biblical principles, I don't believe that has changed but Calvary was never intended to be a cradled to grave church, as the first churches were it's a birthing place.
  14. I have no respect for Gram since the last election. Anyone that would change there long held position on Mormonism for political gain doesn't get a second glance from me. And please I'm not simply focusing on the OP and Gram I know Chuck Smith and was baptized in Greg Laurie's church before it was a mega church. The associations developed years ago between these people needs to be reassessed, like Chuck and Hale Lindsy's long term friendship. Don't get me wrong I believe these people including Gram are born of the spirit but there no different than any one-else that strays away at times, that's the problem with being in the globe public eye, it makes it real hard or impossible for many to say, I made a mistake. And just what kind of message does this send to our secular friends? As well as those that like to mix politics with religion? Apparently many haven't learned the lesion of the law given to Moses. The church today is full of people that insist legislating more laws is the answer to poor morals. I know I'm stepping on a lot of toes here, but the truth isn't always the most popular message. http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/16/billy-grahams-group-removes-mormon-cult-reference-from-website-after-romney-meeting/ Funny how everyone is now talking about Nineveh isn't it.
  15. I see the debate has moved to the extreme right vs the extreme left Here's an example of what I consider a conservative view that has nothing to do with sex or homosexual behavior IMO it's all about a political policy. Detroit is Nineveh http://christianityboard.com/content/blog/detroit-nineveh/
  16. Step 2 If you are running too many programs at the startup which immediately take up RAM resources, you are likely to face this error. Limit the number of programs which load up at Windows 8 startup and the error shall be fixed. First check which programs are taking up high RAM resources and then disable them. To check these programs, right click anywhere on the taskbar and click “Task Manager”. Alternatively, you can bring up “Task Manager” by searching for it from the “Search Charm” On the Task Manager window, click the “Processes” tab and then scan the faulty programs which are sucking up RAM like anything. Once you have found the culprit, click the “Startup” tab, locate and select it, and then click the “Disable” button. If you ever want to enable it, click the “Enable” button after selecting it from the “Startup” list. If there are more such programs which you want to disable, disable them one by one and then the low memory error shall be fixed.
  17. It's your page file size, "virtual memory" Just set it to allow windows to manage page file size, instead of setting a size. That will take care of the low memory flag Win 7 Start control panel system scroll down till you see "computer name" work-group ect hit change settings advanced tab performance "settings tab" advanced tab virtual memory "change tab" select -> automatically manage page file size for all drives Hit ok and save on the way out you will be prompted you need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Problem solved
  18. On July 11th VATICAN CITY: Pope Francis has overhauled the laws that govern the Vatican City State, criminalizing leaks of Vatican information and specifically listing sexual violence, prostitution and possession of child pornography as crimes against children. The legislation approved Thursday covers people who live and work in Vatican City and is different from the canon law which covers the universal Catholic Church. It's really a toothless tiger and only pertains to the state "UN recognized country" of the Vatican. Nothing has changed and it will be as it's always been at the Vatican, they frequently make statements that appear to be politically correct but the cannon law never changes. All the statements and powers it has given itself through the centuries still officially exist, of course they would like everyone to believe differently IMO. It's not simply the press giving the impression its the way the Vatican has always presented itself, never let your left hand know what the right is doing. The phrase from Matthew has nothing to with giving to the needy in this context it's all about giving the impression of doing something. The reality is nothing has changed. The RC will tolerate a lot so long as you bend the knee to the Roman Pontiff thats the bottom line. This becomes clear after we have all seen the game of musical chairs being played with pedophile priest with no re-guard for the criminal justice system of the country it happens in, there a law unto themselves period.
  19. I have another view, I find in Matthew 25:31 the parable of the sheep and the goats. There are 3 distinct groups of people the sheep, the goats and the bretheren. Some of the Apostles in there letters referred to themselves as bond servants to the Lord Jesus. I hope that maybe the doctrine of OSAS becomes clearer as well as the desire to have ones ear pierced. But maybe those that served under the Master and chose to go are not lost there sheep. but will gathered back, they simply choose to spend there time being concerned with the ways of the world. The latter is what is found mostly today, people born and following the spirit but never truly being able to let it all go, and experience having their ear pierced for life. I find it interesting that the sheep didn't apparently recognize the brethren, perhaps the did after they were formally introduced. 1 Simon Peter, a bond servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: If you don't know the law concerning a bond servant or how a bond servant is made, you might want to look at Deuteronomy 15:12 The Greek word used for "servant" here is the word doulos, which literally means, "bond-servant." It's not a hired servant, someone who serves because that's their job. It's an expression of an idea that God gave in the Law of Moses, back in Deuteronomy 15, starting in verse 12. Let's all turn there. If a fellow Hebrew, a man or a woman, sells himself to you and serves you six years, in the seventh year you must let him go free. 13And when you release him, do not send him away empty-handed. 14Supply him liberally from your flock, your threshing-floor and your winepress. Give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you. 15Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today. You can all see clearly that God is not talking about hired servants here. If someone sells himself, like it says in verse 12, that's called being a slave. We're talking about a Hebrew who chooses to sell himself into slavery to another Hebrew, probably to raise money to pay a debt. And a slave doesn't have the same rights as a hired servant, does he? Can he quit if he doesn't like the work? Can he protest to the Labor Board if he doesn't think his working conditions are right? What rights does a slave have? None. He sold them away. God permitted people to be slaves at that time. But God's Law didn't allow His people to mistreat slaves. The way it was practiced in our Southern states was completely against the principles of the Word of God. I could show you other passages that protect slaves, but the one we need to look at is this passage we just read. God is guaranteeing that slavery, for a Hebrew, is not permanent. It's not for life. The longest time a Hebrew could be kept in slavery was six years, and when he was set free in the seventh year, he was to be sent out with livestock and food. Why? So he wouldn't have to turn around and sell himself again the next day so he could get a bite to eat. But now look at verse 16: But if your servant says to you, "I do not want to leave you," because he loves you and your family and is well off with you, 17then take an awl and push it through his ear lobe into the door, and he will become your servant for life. Do the same for your maidservant.
  20. I have wondered If the communications industry today is a kind of tower of babel or even a supplement to the HS allowing huge sections of people to be connected "like minded"
