Hi Hinds Feet, Yes, it is wonderful that the Lord has fulfilled some of the Feasts He gave to Israel. And we, the Body of Christ are so blessed to receive from that too. However, the Feasts are for Israel to be `a stature forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.` (Lev. 23: 14) There are still a few more Feasts to be fulfilled and that will be for Israel.

Hi Hinds Feet, I do love reading and learning about God`s Feast for they are a timeline for Israel as to their final fulfillment. Those Feasts are not for the Body of Christ, however.

Hi Irs, It can seem like they are morally good, but the heart is still selfish. It is very hard for those people to accept Christ for they think they do not need a Saviour. They rely on their own `goodness.` Only God can see the heart and He knows without Christ our righteousness is as `filthy rags.`

Sounds like a pretty good body to be able to keep burning, ay? So, is it an earthly body, a heavenly one, (spiritual Body like the Lord`s) or?

Thank you Ad Hoc, and you always show that you do your homework and bring out other scriptures to think upon. So, my thoughts. If the wicked were given an earthly body back again it would soon be burned up or if can`t die, then what`s the use of flames. Matt. 10: 28 reveals that the body and soul is destroyed. Hell is absent from the holiness of God. Thus, when a wicked person dies their body and soul go from the presence of God, till judgment Day when their spirit and soul will be judged. Mark 9: 44 & Isa. 66: 24 `worm.` I think that is just symbolic of something that eats aways at your flesh, and in death it would be their tormenting thoughts that never stop. Acts 12: 23 show the effect worms have on a body. Matt. 5: 30 `Limbs that offend.` What about my mind, do we cut that off. No. I see the examples as illustrations of actual body parts as seriously getting rid of things that offend. Those scriptures need addressing so well done there Ad Hoc. And anything to add?

Jesus is the message of God`s word, His character and His purposes. Salvation is but the means for different groups to receive their inheritance promised. The Body of Christ - ruling with Jesus from His throne (authority) in the third heaven. (Rev. 3: 21) The OT Saints - the city. (Heb. 11: 16) The nations on the earth - Rev. 21: 24) `God the Father .....having made known to us the mystery of His Will according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times he might gather together in one (in unity) all things in CHRIST - both of which are in heaven and which are on earth - in HIM.` (Eph. 1: 9 & 10)

Hi NC, I hear what you say, however, the quote you gave was Ec. 12: 7 regarding spirits returning to God. Those are all separate from God. He created them and will judge those not in the Body of Christ or Old Testament Saints who are in the General Assembly in the third heaven, (Heb. 12: 22 & 23) nor the Rev. 20: 4 saints or the Great Multitude who are all under the blood of Jesus.

Hi Ad Hoc, Interesting discussion. I believe from God`s word that there is life suitable for the third heaven, (like Christ`s) and then there is life as Adam`s was on the earth. That is still part of God`s purposes. (Rev. 21: 24) As for the wicked, I don`t believe they will have a body, but will go into the `Lake of Fire` as spirit and soul. The `Lake of Fire,` is symbolic of a contained area where the wicked go and have only their wicked conscience and thoughts for eternity.

Morning or evening for you bro Ad Hoc, Christ`s glorified body (& ours) will not have blood to give it life, but be energized by the Holy Spirit - spiritual body. And yes all calculations are for Israel and we, the Body of Christ are BEFORE that. The Feast of Purim is Israel`s National Deliverance Day, (Esther 9: 18 - 22) In Jerusalem it will be the 15th of Adar. What a day that will be when Israel will celebrate that Jesus, their Messiah has delivered them from all their foes.

Hi Ad Hoc, 1. When Jesus was manifest on earth as a man He eventually died. He does not now have an earthly body but a spiritual body. (1 Cor.15: 44) Jesus is now exalted at the Father`s right hand and with the Father and Holy Spirit is - equal, in unity and of the same mind. It is only in function that there is a hierarchy. BTW is not Jesus GOD! 2 & 3. The time of the Lord coming for His mature Body is in God`s word - it is before the Day of the Lord. (1 Thess. 5: 4) And that `day` (period of time) is when the Prophet Joel says the great northern army is brought down to Israel`s mountains for judgment. And IF that is next year the time will be late January or early February. You see the Prophet Daniel tells us that Israel`s fulfillment of the Feast of Purim, Israel`s National Deliverance is on the 15th of Adar, 1,335 days (1,260, + 30 + 30 + 15) after the A/C. So it is just a matter of counting back the 7 years to the Peace treaty. Obviously the war is before that which starts the Day of the Lord, (Joel 2: 1 7 2) and we will go before that.

That was interesting tim. The trouble starts when we call man`s organization `the Church.` It is a public meeting organized by man. It can be helpful, but NEVER `the Church.` That title is exclusive for the Body of Christ, `And He (God the Father) put all things under His (Jesus`) feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the Church which is His Body the fullness of Him who fills all in all. `(Eph. 1: 22 & 23) May we be more careful with our words and be scriptural and not continue to support and uphold an unscriptural teaching. Let us encourage each other to meet with the 2`s and 3`s and really get to know others in the Body, their needs, their gifts and praise the Lord together without always having an organization organize us.

Hi Ad Hoc, Some good points there regarding people not making a difference between Israel and the Church/Body. However, (as usual) I do have a few points - 1. Yes, Jesus, when manifest as a man on earth did not know when He would come for the Body. However, now that He is at the right hand of the Father He is fully in the Godhead and knows all things, even when He will come for the Body. 2. Paul does tell the early believers and us when the Lord will come for His Body. `...till we all come to the unity of the Faith, and the knowledge of the Son of Man, to a perfect (mature) man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.` (Eph. 4: 13) And the Lord being made Head of His Body knows full well what He is doing bringing it to completion. 3. We don`t know the date, however we will see it coming. `...exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.` (Heb. 10: 25) And that `Day` is the Day of the Lord (period of time). The prophet Joel (2: 1 & 2) tells us that when the great northern army and others are brought down to Israel`s mountains to be judged then that is when we go as we are not in that `Day.` (1 Thess. 5: 2 - 4)

I think we as humans look too much for the `feelings.` God is always there and it is for us to appreciate His faithfulness, His mercy and grace. As we regularly give Him thanks and praise then we are feeding our spirit. Appreciate the everyday blessings we have and not constantly looking to God to keep proving Himself to us. God will by His Holy Spirit often highlight a word or action that needs to be addressed. This correction is to make us more like Christ and not our selfish past.
