This really has nothing to do with God. Noones debating that God cares for us all. But people are unknowingly trivializing the issue with this All Lives Matter argument. It reflects badly on Christians imo

Well if you want to critique a current ongoing problem using past attrocities that happened decades ago go ahead. But I'd advise you not do it on a public forum like this. When Christians state things like that it makes all of us look bad and uncaring to the problems of others

Ill give u an analogy that helps understand the issue. Imagine you are at your relatives funeral and you are giving the eulogy. You say -He was a good husband and loving father and a man jumps on the stage and says - So! There are lots of great and loving fathers!Why don't they get appreciation? How would you feel? Annoyed and think they are out of place right? That's what the All lives matter retort is doing. No-one is disputing that all lives matter but the truth is America has a history of unpunished or underpunished murders against blacks -lynchings ,police killings etc - that people are trying to bring attention to. They're trying to say that our lives matter too. Other races don't have that issue as much as blacks. In the last few years we've had several incidences where non violent black men or women were killed by police using excessive force. How many whites or Asians did that happen to? So by saying all lives matter people are trying to divert attention away from a very real issue which is causing people to DIE which most likely wonr affect them. Which is just awful and selfish. Understand?

Is how well it works. We were watching the news coverage so we watched both CNN (blatantly democrat) and FOX NEWS (blatantly republican ) and the difference in coverage was jarring. Now note I'm going to try to be as objective as possible so please stick to the propaganda and not the party. CNN focused in the various murders of black men over the years and the last one that led to the riots (very important). It also stressed how they think getting the miltary involved was a bad idea me violated the law and will make things worse. Little reference to the violence against police going on. FOX NEWS- High emphasis on violence against police on tje riots (very important as well)and on the incompetence of the governors and why we need to call in the military to restore order. Little emphasis on the violence against blacks and the death that led to the riots. I'm not saying who is roght or wrong. But what amused me was a relative watching for angry at fox news for what they focused on and ignored the fact CNN was biased too. When I pointed out each station pusjed it's own agenda the said yes-Good (CNN) vs Bad(Fox) It showed me how amazingly effective how propaganda Is by selectively choosing facts both stations pushed their own agendas and divert peoples minds. Then people on either side start to see it as good vs evil based on who they side with. Please don't change this to how evil the liberals are. Fact is both sides can be just as guilty of manipulation

Racism can take many forms. Maybe it was just a bad cop or may be its a man who's been emboldened by an atmosphere where excessive force can be used on certian people with far less response than it would get with others. It's like story my mother tells about my aunt. She was younger so she realised she could start hitting my mother for no reason and say Stop acting like she was the one being beaten up and my mother would get beaten by my grandparent. So she did it repeatedly until one day my mother had enough and kicked the stuffing out of her when she tried it and she never did it again. Same principle CENTURIES of excessive force on blacks by whites in authority may have made this man think he can do that. Look at the mob who chased and shot the black jogger. One was an ex officer

Huh? You do realise I'm parodying how silly racists are to take verses out of context righttp oppose interracial marriage and promote racial separation ? One of our sister church's pastors told us that Christians actually used that verse to oppose interracial marriage a I'm showing how silly it was.

The bible never makes racial divisions as far as i know. Humans are all one species and skin colour and racial features are just petty differences. Unfortunately some people have not renewed their mind and still hold on to evil prejudices. Sad to say some people will distort bible verses to justify their mindsets and claim racism is biblical. Best examples seen are when it comes to interracial marriages. I drew a piece on it.

What I've seen was people blast or talk condescendingly to young people on topics such as their behaviour and laughing to myself because I remembered when the same person was that are and doing the same thing they were now basically speaking down to. Mind you it's important to correct each other but when you know you were once guilty of it you should mind your attitude

Based on something amusing i once saw. Ever notice how condemnatory some people can be of younger or less mature Christians forgetting how bad they themselves we're once before the matured or even got saved. Sometimes we can unconsciously get prideful and less sympathetic to others forgetting that people sometimes need the patience and guidance we were afforded rather than blasting

My fear is .... while all these other countries are making restrictions the nonsense thatscgoing in in the U.S. is gonna make things worse and cases second wave and alot more deaths. Worst thing about it is that some Christians are jumping on the band wagon and showing support acting as if it's Godly behaviour rather than selfishness

Something to remember. Unless it's forbidden scriptutally or may become a stumbling block, many things aren't 'out of bounds' for our worship. Many times we are just conditioned by tradition to think that's how it's to be ( music styles, KJV only) Many splits woukd be avoided if we acknowledged that things dont always have to be done our way. Things don't have to stay the same because that's what were comfortable with them and everything doesn't always have to change because we want something new. Also if we decide to leave or absent ourselves from something because it's not how we like it,it may mean we have some spiritual issues to deal with.

Exactly. Tbh.when I saw Fox news on something I get skeptical. It's notoriously biased. If anything it's probably downplaying how bad covid19 is to justify the reopening
