I think Modesty in a way that does not attract attention to her self , clean and decent not in rags or following the trends of the world or being conformed to the world , yet not dressing like they did 100 years ago, this is not modest but attracting attention , and strange . Its not hard to dress modestly with out being strange . I also would say she should be careful not to make herself a stumbling block to others , by the way she dresses . Some think they can dress any way they like , thats not being considerate of others , and could be sinful more than they know .

Firestormx , thats a good question about seminary training . If the seminary is teaching the WORD of GOD , then all is OK , but when they stray off into the teachings of men then its not OK. I had personal experience , in 1989 I went for 1 year to a Bible College full time . I found them to be teaching some false teachings , many of these teachings are common in Christiandome today. I did not return after 1 year . They did not want me back either . I could never teach something I do not believe. Also I found that I could have read the books they taught from for my self , and saved $10,000.00 . But I also found that studing the BIBLE for my self is much better than the books they taught from , because when the Holy Spirit opens the Bible up to us nothing can compare . Thats why I keep reading it . I also noticed that many of the students knew very little of the Bible and excepted what they where taught hook line and sinker . If you do not conform you will be marked down . And most likely fail . I Some how passed but with out honors . I could tell many stories of things that happened at this school . Bottom line to me is , if you are not well grounded in the bible before you go to a school , you may be deceived as they are . The bible certainly has qualifications for teaching and pastoral positions , often ignored by churches . Among many other teachings in the Bible .

Actually the church order has been considered to be broken hundreds of years ago , and many sought to get back to scriptural meetings , the brethren movement in the early 1800s in England , is worth a study , but the devil managed to confuse that movement with false doctrine and divisions . So the churches have not really gotten it all together as they did in the Acts with some problems of Jews that sought to bring them back to the law , but the Apostle s fought them with much trouble . Apostle Paul warned that after his departure , grevious wolves would come in and not spare the flock . That has really happened the church is considered to be in ruins since , but Christians have sought to seek the Lord as best they can . But all there is now is the Apostles doctrine , the NT, and if that is not followed then where will it be known ? A great man of practise and Doctrine that sought to follow only the Bible ," George Muller of Bristol ", was of the early brethren movement in the 1800 s . a worthy study with amazing testimony , just google his name , if you can read his Journal . But beware the brethren movement is not what is was then , so Im not advocating them at all of what they are now .

I been away for a while , I do not have time to answer completely these important issues , But I recommend that the Book of Revelation be the prime book for these things , there is a promise to those that read and keep it , and not to add or take away from it without severe consequences . There are the Premil Rapture and doctrines that came with it , are not of the of historical teaching of the NT . They tickle the ears of the hearers and so where adopted in and became very popular in the 1830s onward, a distorted view of the Jews and discounting teachings of the NT saying they only apply to Jews and not the gentile church , this view was rejected by early Christians . And should be . there is not a special faith for the Jews , the Church is of jews gentiles men women etc . All in Christ . no other faith at all from heaven . The old testament is fading away on account of the NT . read The book of Hebrews on this important subject . Many Christians believe that there is no 1000 yr Reign of Christ on earth , after reading Revelation I do not know how they could deny it . But many read Revelation with a mystical view and it does not seem real to them , it is a hard book to understand , and requires prayerful study . The Apostle John was the last of the Apostles as far as I know , and had a more complete prophecy of end times "the Book of Revelation " therefore there is more in it than found elsewhere , when reading Peter 2 it sounds like he had a incomplete understanding of end times or not full knowledge ,He said a day is a 1000 yrs etc , well he died much earlier than John thats the reason I believe . There was a need for the Book of Revelation , and so it was given . I do not have the time I need to really get into so many important issues due to my profession . A verse in titus says " let those that have believed , be careful to maintain good works " Our works reveal our faith as James said . Many people stop at the cross and do not walk in the spirit of the Life of Jesus Christ , or experience the new birth , because they had no intention of following Him , just securing salvation . Thats not the message of the Gospel because there is no repentance of dead works to works of faith . Through Christ s work ... We must forsake all to follow Him , or we can not follow him , I know I went to numerous churches that where not clear about this and some I would say preached a false Gospel . Baptism is a great picture of true Salvation .

There is a verse in the Bible that says " to know good and not do it is sin " also" the man that knew the Lords will , but did not prepare or do the Lords will , shall be beaten with many stripes " just going off memory not sure where they are it in the NT . but the Idea is the same as James " faith without works is dead " Its a matter of Obedience or Disobedience . Unbelief would be the opposite of faith , so I see it as to obey or not to obey , after knowing the truth . Faith in its self is not the issue . We are saved by the Faith of Christ on our behalf . But walking in obedience is another thing . Thats what James is speaking of I believe. We must be saved before we can walk in Obedience . James is not taking about saving faith , but Obedient faith of the saved one .

If a person reads acts carefully , they will notice that the earliest church met in the local temples , and preached the Gospel and bore witness to the one and only way to God through Christ , and they also bore witness to the prophets , and fulfillments of them of Christ . They proved the scriptures that the Jews profess to believe , many converted to Christ , the original place for the believers was in the Jewish temples , until they where persecuted out of them , they also met in houses . The temple was Jesus s father s house and so also his followers as well . But persecution by anti Christ jews , made temples off grounds . Also its interesting to note that the bible did not call the disciples of Christ, Christians , but rather that was a label put on them , most likely by the Jews , and other unbelievers . King Aggrippa called them Christian and was also an unbeliever . Apostle Paul did not dismiss the label when Aggrippa said that . So it is today .

Gobal warming was debunked , now they call it climate change . Fact is the world has been in a cooling cycle for years . The powers that be in control of the media are able to influence and brainwash people regardless of the facts those stuborn things that keep getting in the way ... Although I do believe that man has caused some climate change , that has not been reported in the Media . Yes Im guilty of it too , I do pray about the weather and get results often , I know other Christians may do the same . No joking ! Without our prayers things would be worst , so dont go blaming us !

I heard a well known speaker on the radio today , and his message was really good I thought on the subject of "excellent leadership " To be a fulfilling leader you must be totally into the study of the Bible and then your teachings of what you learned will save the hearers , and they will see your example and thats about how it works. If they will not follow you then they are of a different herd . So some times we need to find the right herd if they do not follow sound doctrine , or if they do not teach sound doctrine , then thats proof they have not done a good job in giving them self to the ministry Studing the word of God is the most time consuming thing and if not completely dedicated to it they will come up wanting . I know felt the message challenging to be more dedicated to study , read 1tim ch 4 . The speaker was John Mcarther , Im not big on his teachings but he is learning and a very good speaker .

Hello Carlos I understand your concern , if we read 1 Cor ch 11 to end of 16 we get church order of the NT , that is the blueprint and according to Apostle Paul s teachings , He was very strict on this because he wanted the churches to get it right . If there is failure to obey these Ordinances , then we know that disobedience is sin , and a missing of the blessing of obedience. To Obey is better than the sacrifice of praise no matter how loud it may be ! 2 timothy ch 3 v16,17 is critical to hold on to for all things of Gods word and conduct . 2 timothy ch 4 v1,2,3,4 is so common today I personally have never attended a local church that even comes close to fulfilling church order . Are they really churches ? if they fall short of church order . For certain they are disfunctional to the degree they disobey Church order laid out in the NT . I think today the main problem is Biblical leadership . The leaders are trained in schools that are not BIBLE only , but have brought in doctrines and so called church order not found in the NT . Does your church cause earth quakes like the church of apostle times , or cause society to seek Christians to learn more and so on ? No today the churches are mainly powerless and ineffective . No wonder why to me ! Yes the Leaders today are not as in the early times , but there are certainly some good ones but so few and mass confusion generally , due to disobedience to revealed scriptures in the New Testament .

Whats the difference in the rapture and second coming ? the first question , the answer its the same event in the BIBLE ! Be ready for it will come quickly ( REV 22 v 7) ! NO DOUBTS about it! The truth shall set you free !

The "Last Day" is a metaphor for a period of time which extends for at least (or more than) 1,000 years. It includes the resurrection of the just as well as the unjust. Study the Gospel of John and the book of Revelation for details. And while Christ is "in us" and "with us" in Spirit, He will come personally in His glorious body to take the Church to Heaven with Him (Jn 14:1-3; 1 Jn 3:1-3). So nothing has blown holes in the Rapture other than an incomplete understanding of what this is all about. It is amazing how much confusion there is about something which was meant to be simple. The Last Day is when Jesus Christ returns , there is no confusion at all for me , then after His coming he will set up the 1000 year reign . Trust me the world will never be the same when Christ returns , its over for the worlds evil ways all things will be under Christ s rule . The destruction of the world physically happens later after the 1000 yr reign . No confusion for me because I stick with the teachings of the BIBLE . Also the Acient Christian teachings . The pretib rapture of the church doctrine is nothing less than false doctrine introduced in the professing church during 1830 s and is not the Christian doctrine of earlier times . People that have accepted this doctrine are not students of correct Bible study . And I have no doubt that in time it will prove out that there is no pretrib rapture of the church , just wait and see , but prepare for whats coming just the same , Jesus said I come quickly , BE ready ! Hi Marilyn ! I do not accept your view , but rather see the Lords sayings as all inclusive to all that believe in Him , there is one Faith one Lord , one Church , etc ... I also do not believe that the Lord is coming 3 times . Once in the flesh already . Second time in Glory that every eye will see him on the last Day . With out a doubt the rapture happens at His second coming , this is the first Resurrection , with no doubt at all for many years now ! Blessed is he that has part in the first resurrection! I was taught the pretrib rapture when young in the Bible by church groups , But my Bible studies blew holes and many questions in that theory . Jesus said multiple times that He would raise up believers on the LAST day , not 7 yrs before the last day or 3.5 yrs before the last day . He also said He is with us until the End. It was Jesus words that blew big holes in it that never where patched up since. I can come up with many more reasons in scriptures since then , but it began with Jesus words , read John

How to be humble ? Thats an outstanding question ! God gives grace to the Humble and resist the proud . My simplest answer is Get to Know GOD , meditate on the grace of God in the giving of His Son Jesus , for us unworthy sinners , compare your self to Him if you can , you will not be able to get your face off the floor . The apostle John s experience in seeing Holy revelations in the first chapters of the book of Revelation , caused him to almost fall down dead , read about it ... To be humble is also to become as a little child , totally trusting and not questioning . To be humble is to stay low , you can not fall far if you are already down low . I hope this helps a bit !
