It's kind of like first aid item --- if you're a christian, and you break your arm, they may put it in a slang.

If life is in the blood, does God allow blood transfusions ?
simplejeff replied to SINNERSAVED's topic in Theology
that's why Yahweh gives as a gift , discernment. to a few, born again of Him from heaven. the natural man is the normal, everyday, crowd, everywhere man, the regular pew warmer in buildings with pews, held in place by unspeakable things and doesn't even know it. the redeemed man goes outside the gates with Jesus, to suffer with Him, as it is written. -
Is it wrong of a believer today , not to go to church ?

Psalm 63 1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O Elohim, You are my El; I earnestly seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, as in a dry and weary land without water. 2 Therefore I have seen you in the holy place, seeing Your power and Your glory. 3 For Your loving-kindness is better than life; my lips give praise to You. 1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. O Elohim, hear my voice in my complaint; guard my life from the dread of the enemy. 2 Hide me from the counsel of those who destroy, from the tumult of evildoers, 3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword; they tread their arrows, a bitter word, 4 so that they may shoot at the innocent from a lurking place; suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not. excerpts from Hebraic Roots Bible. -
Even if and when someone is silent, the tsts can be done, if permitted, that reveal the truth, Yahweh WILLING.

I don't know if it was "through" healing, per se. Salvation = Healing. and the Gospel was ALWAYS accompanied /one with/ healing IN JESUS NAME. Still is, btw. -
Is it wrong of a believer today , not to go to church ?
simplejeff replied to SINNERSAVED's topic in General Discussion
maybe it is. read ACTS , Ephesians, Revelation >>> see what it was/ like then . what is written ? ((BEAUTIFUL !!)) A few believers compared to multitudes of sinners. A few believers gathered together in homes, sometimes behind locked doors !!!! ((like today)) see ?? -
6 For some of them worm their way into homes and get control of weak-willed women who are heaped with sins and swayed by various impulses,7 who are always learning but never able to come to full knowledge of the truth. 8 In the same way as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moshe, so also these people oppose the truth. They are people with corrupted minds, whose trust cannot pass the test. 2 Timothy 3 CJB biblegateway.

144 months plus. Anti-semitism still growing and getting much worse all over the world, practically everywhere.

COOL! One of the very first "lessons" in life I learned first hand observing at an upstairs Christian's meeting at a coffee-shop in Maryland in a suburb of D.C.((or not too far from D.C., across a river into MD)). A gathering of young believers assembled for a Bible study/ reading. EPHESIANS 6, or EPHESIANS 5 and 6. ((it was decades ago)) ............................................................ ((oops//not Galatians// that was just on my mind when I posted)) Part way through simply reading from the Bible, and discussing Yahweh's WORD, a teen screamed at the top of her lungs "STOP STOP" "STOP talking about GOD'S LOVE " and ran out of the room. Some of those present who knew her went out and sat on the steps with her and calmly and gently prayed with her. Since then, many times, just while SEEKing Yahweh, while reading Yahweh's WORD, THE BIBLE, MANY have likewise been delivered/healed. Yahweh is so FAITHFUL to HIS WORD , PERFECTLY. ----------------- And the helmet of SALVATION is real, protecting His children every day .

Amen Davida, that was just to clarify . Example: in the field covered in weeds and stones, the precious pearl did not blend in. The world is darkness. The LIGHTS don't blend in. ((I thought at first you meant the tares would blend in quite nicely with the wheat. )) Yes, that makes more sense to me. We see it everywhere, eh ?

GOOD EXAMPLES EZRA: what for ? The subject/ point/ question is about PAUL((hint:clue)) not being a "stumbling block". Were the people of the Gadarenes stumbling blocks to the assembly of believers ? ((not as far as I know)) Was the Prodigal Son a stumbling block to the people JESUS SPOKE WITH ? ((again, not as far as I know ))
-
THERE YOU GO ! GOOD ! TRUE ! Now, does Yahweh, Jesus, or Paul ever, anywhere IN SCRIPTURE, BLESS someone who is weak in the faith ? OR Curse them ? ((NO! of course not)) So, then, should you / we/ all of God's people BLESS, and not Curse them ? ((YES! OF COURSE YES, ALWAYS )) ........ ... .. Now, that's out of the way - ((hold that thought)) back to "Is a pastor who commits sin" as mentioned previously A Stumbling Block to those in the faith ((NOT just the weak possiblly)).? OR NOT A Stumbling Block to those in the faith ?
-
This is about what and who Yahweh calls stumbling blocks IN the NT , not about pork. (( I think I mentioned it's not about pork earlier. If not, I am now.)) You get and understand what others say, but are missing Yahweh's WORD to and through JESUS and Paul in Scripture. ((no where in the NT does Jesus or Paul EVER refer to giving, serving , providing pork or bacon or ham to someone else.)) Even the Prodigal Son Will Be a Good Example soon. Possibly. Not there yet. Let's try this > suppose you saw a pastor having a lurid relationship with a hooker over a few months time. No doubt about it - he and she shacking up every week for a roll in the hay. Is THAT/ HE not a stumbling block for not just his own congregation, but for anyone with Faith in Jesus who sees him do this ? Wouldn't EVERYONE call THAT a stumbling block, a sin, even worse than a stumbling block perhaps ? Will that pastor receive righteous JUDGMENT from THE JUDGE for being a stumbling block ?
-
So ? There's NOTHING there about SERVING pork or bacon or ham . There's no mention of SERVING PORK , BACON or HAM that I've ever seen, or you've ever shown. Also, there's NOTHING there in your post indicating from Scripture the answer to > WHAT DID the APOSTLE(S) DO ON PURPOSE SPECIFICALLY so they would not be a stumbling block ? ((that's almost exactly how he puts it , in english anyway))
-
for longer than our lives, the truth has been published as a lie, viciously attacked or denied or discredited in every way possible, across the board ((in everything practically)), and the lie is "true" ((again, much longer than we have been alive)) 'blend in ' ? no. did any tares "blend in " with Noah and his family in the world before the flood ? always tell the truth. always. JESUS IS TRUTH. ALWAYS.
-
Oh, it's even more simple than that, and of course , in this day and age, harder to find anyone who knows..... seems like instead of living stones , churches are full of stumbling blocks ... ((as written in the new testament)). ---------------------------------------- But your post begs a TOTALLY SEPARATE question, WHERE is it ever written to not serve pork ? ((anywhere OT or NT))
