Since there are a multitude of abominations IN the church, (and possibly 'desolations') and the OP is about "DECEPTION" ..... it is pertinent, even if or in spite of the possibility of mixing up the one (or two) references to the "abomination of desolation".

You (singular) will see the posts that are deceptive, clearly contrasted with the posts that are not deceptive, plain as day and night. Perhaps same as the disciples and Apostles when they were listening to TORAH at the TEMPLE or SYNAGOGUES - as Jesus told them; "LISTEN to TORAH when it is taught", but don't live as they live who are teaching it, because they are hypocrites and do not live as they teach. Jesus and the Father granted they (all disciples following Jesus) could see the TRUTH, and not be deceived by the ones who were corrupt graves covered over ("actors on this stage of life") .

No worries, many worries, just perceived different. "the greatest threat.... not .. walking with God" is so common because so many are deceived. They think and believe they are actually okay with God, as if He is okay with them, and so they die in their sin and don't find out they were deceived until judgment ..... Thus how more earnestly it is of the utmost importance to be judged now, today, instead of too late, later, to start walking "right with God themselves" as you put this.

That's not the point at all, as I also used to celebrate Christmas along with my family and church (years ago), and I did not leave Christianity or give up my Christianity to celebrate Christmas with them.

The true ekklesia don't change, unless they are allowed to apostasize or otherwise bring judgment upon themselves (God's Judgment) . The world (society) ? It changes every day. Always under a death sentence, unless they turn to Yahweh for salvation.

It was pagans, not* Christians, especially not born again ones, who brought Christmas into the "church" for whatever it is ..... It was never, and is never , worthy and true. (since it is from, and of , the world pagan religions). True, but most everyone (I think) reading was raised in a 'democratic' type area, politically and religiousliy. i.e. whoever gets the most votes type deal..... (contrary to all Yahweh's Plan and Scripture). So it may take months or even years to be set free from such a system that is just normally 'accepted'.....
