This is not some conspiracy type thing, but you know as well as I do brother, that the media is in business to make money. They will edit out the children, elderly, women, etc, unless it sells better than warriors ready to fight when they hit the docks. If it were a " human interest " story, the footage would be quite different as you know.

I have seen the media reports. Is that where you place your faith brother ? I doubt it. It IS very convincing, and they are very good at it, are they not ?

I would do as God leads me to ( not as instructed by a stranger ) , but also pray that truth is revealed to all. From there, it can be accepted or rejected by all who hear it. That's just me though.

Hi Logan, I read through Jonah 3 again. Here's what I get from it, but definitely open to discussion and differing opinions; The question that comes to my mind is, what was God's purpose* in sending Jonah to preach to the people ? I believe He wanted to give them an opportunity to repent, which they did. So, I see it as a warning [ to them ] and opportunity [ for them ] to avoid destruction. * God always has a purpose

I think He relented, or did not follow through with what " would have been " had they not repented, but I will re-read this as that is a great question that I am not certain of .

If anyone has testimony about this man who died a long time ago, they should probably present it to God. Just my thoughts.

I am just apprehensive of the venue, due to the discussions often becoming more of a stand-off and full blown argument of things, rather than a discussion that edifies believers, gives hope to non-believers, and glorifies God in what is actually communicated. At the same time, it IS important when a topic such as this is brought up, that each response be prayerful and considerate of ALL who might read it.

Hey brother ( me again, sorry ). It's a matter of destiny. That is the nature and partial definition of the word. The decisions we make are our own, but God knows ( not decide for us ) what they will be. You cannot apply human logic to divine understanding.

Interesting discussion. Brother other one knows the pitfalls involved, but it is a difficult topic to discuss as there may be impressionable minds reading.

I hold the door for men and women. I try to help disabled or elderly ( well, more elderly than me ), etc. It's almost instinct.
