  1. Feminization? We always had groups for men so they could talk without their wife talking all the time, but in Holland people don't pay and only huge churches can have a paid male pastor, so what you sometimes get is that the man works and the wife may preach for free.
  2. He first cheated with her niece. She just forgets stuff. It's not that she understands nothing. She bikes to my mom alone. If I stay Facebook friends with him and like his stuff, it's like I say: go ahead and then Jesus comes back and he may miss it. My ex chatted with a woman so I thought God was fine with it that I had someone else when we broke up. It is not always sin. In my case it was. Do you think anyone warned? Nobody. Everybody in church slimed. Oh what a nice guy. You 2 should get married. God gave me a dream and threatened me with hell. I wish one person had been blunt and had warned me with hell. Would have saved me a lot of trouble.
  3. It's more just venting. I'm not in their church. I'm not their pastor nor elder. The church they're in apparently does nothing. I do nothing either. Vent and pray he repents and that she gets healed. I do cut contact with him though. I'm not gonna slime as if I approve because then it's also my fault.
  4. If I gossip I do it online where nobody knows the person and not with their name. There's a couple that used to be in our church. My mother is still friends with her and prays with her. She got dementia young. Her husband now has a new girlfriend and their teen daughter sides with her dad. They stay married. He is her caregiver. I was Facebook friends with em. He posted family pics and I gave em a like. Then I heard this from my mother, but my mother says to her: Youhave to forgive him and she does and she stays with him. But my brother and I got mad because why would you not protect her? All nice and dandy to forgive, but she can't live with a cheater who is not even sorry. But on the other hand we're not gonna take care of her either. Her mother is not gonna help her. So whatever. Just pray that she gets healed and can make her own decisions. Anyway I told no one else but I did unfriend him and hope he got the message.

    Clouds

Also departed saints. I think it means literal clouds and it may indeed also mean departed saints, because the ones that got raised then went with Him to heaven from Abraham's bosom. I have heard that explanation once in church that it was a cloud of witnesses. And He would come back the same way. Plus in Revelation 20 only the ones who got killed in the trib get raised, so the rest must have been raised and gotten a new body before that. Jesus doesn't leave Abraham and all the O.T. saints plus all the other saints, the apostles 1000 years in heaven when He lives on earth with His bride.
  6. It doesn't say Revelation 20 is not true. I thought Revelation 20 was a great proof text for the pre trib rapture, because only the ones from the trib get raised then, so Abraham etc. who come with Jesus must already have been raised and the rapture is after the raising of the dead. Daniel 12:2-3 is a good one. “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. Daniel 12:1 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/dan.12.1.NKJV Israel then gets protected, the woman gets a safe place and those who are already saved get raptured just after the first group gets raised from the dead before the great trib starts. And then the rest in Revelation 20.
  7. Lol I have said that often to God. I'm glad He did not listen. Imagine if He really talked loud.
  8. The EU wants to do the same thing. The EU wants to stop the illegal migration of Syrian refugees to Cyprus. EU Commission President von der Leyen and Cypriot President Christodoulidis will travel to Lebanon. The goal: a billion-dollar deal with the country. That's far worse. Rwanda is safer than Libanon.

  10. The flat in which I live gets more and more non Dutch people. I actually like it, cause they're friendly and grateful and not demanding and entitled. Our city has a muslim major. We have to be welcoming to the stranger, says the Bible. I was a stranger and you took Me in. It's the biggest sin if you're not hospitable to strangers. That was the sin from Sodom. Exactly like she describes, the end stage of an immoral society. Uncleanness, also in church, lukewarmness of christians, violence and then not being hospitable. What is now considered normal to say, like send them back, they take our houses, we had a politician 25 years ago who sent people back. Everyone thought she was evil. Unfortunately you also get war criminals and such, because they don't know who is who. These immigrants are the most open to the Gospel. They get help in churches. We had a christian party that was welcoming. Now we have the opposite. Rwanda, Africa with all these murderers, horrible place to send people to. That woman who gave the prophecy said that with WW3 a bomb would pollute the air above the rich countries and they'd try to leave to poor countries, but they would just be as hard on them. Since in Holland we were quite welcoming I thought oooh that will take a long time, but this sounds dangerous. The brother from Corrie ten Boom went to Germany in the 30s and he already warned that there was an evil going on. If they kick war criminals out, be my guest, but normal people.. that's not christian. I don't care if some Syrian family gets a nice house and I don't. My flat is fine. Just let them get saved.
  11. That Dutch article said it. I thought it was weird too. I would say it depends very much on the church. I was in Toronto from the Toronto blessing and during the service people in the back gave whoever wanted one a very long prophecy. If 100 percent was not from God I'd believe it. The last time that I was in a service where whoever could go prophesy in a church was in the 90s. Then one woman had continually crazy stuff and rebuked people and they stopped it altogether.
  12. Yes that's at the end when we see Him as He is and God is all in all. Then they are not needed anymore.
  13. You have that here too, but that's our own fault. If you're too lazy to work you get govt money and a govt house and you go first. I know a guy who hasnt worked in 20 years. He has a house for 350 euro for a whole family where he lives with his cat and dog. I work and live with 3 teens in a 1 bedroom apartment. No wonder everyone wants that. Why is it all of a sudden a problem if a guy from Syria wants that and not when it's a lazy Dutch man or woman?
  14. Dutch translation says imperfect. It's not perfect. Just like a preacher may say something wrong. I'm not saying that a blatant false prophecy is okay. People have to learn to discern what is from God and what is not. https://www.herschepping.nl/04nl/ggaven_04profeteren.php It happens that people utter alleged prophecies that come from their own inner being. It is also wise if someone has a prophecy during a meeting, to first test it with the leaders of the church. This prevents a spurious prophecy, which arises from the imagination of the speaker, from being accepted as coming from God. For example, prophecies should not in any way contradict what the Bible says. It is not without reason that the gift of 'discernment of spirits' is also mentioned in the Bible (1 Corinthians 12:10), especially to be able to distinguish the expressions of God's Spirit from other expressions. In practice, more than half of the prophecies spoken during congregational meetings do not come from God. Testing is therefore really necessary. After all, prophesying is also something people must LEARN. For instance there was a preacher years ago who said to a man with cancer: God says: I will rebuke the cancer worm. Oh no wait. He was English. He said cankerworm. The Dutch translator translated it as kankerworm, cancerworm. That is not a thing. But the guy got faith and got healed. In the end we will be like Jesus and see Him as He is.
  15. When it's all nonsense or occult I would stay away, but 1 Corinthians 13, oh in part, the Dutch translation says imperfect. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. I Corinthians 13:9‭-‬10 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/1co.13.9-10.NKJV And why else did they have to judge? Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. I Corinthians 14:29 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/1co.14.29.NKJV He calls them prophets. If they prophecied perfect nobody would have to judge it. In one church I went to the pastor would just say if someone had a supposed word from the Lord: oh nice. Write it down. So he could check it, because it became a mess. Some had to be stopped. They were negative and it wasn't from God. And you can't just let that go on if they rebuke people who then get upset and think it's God.
  16. Could be. No idea. I don't like it when they call themselves prophet or apostle or bishop, but it doesn't mean it was not a prophet. Calling themselves evangelist doesn't irritate me by the way. So many weirdo's are prophets, apostles and bishops these days. Someone can have the gift of prophecy and the prophecy doesn't always have to be perfect. Prophesies need to get tested. Or it can be an office, like pastor and apostle. For instance David Wilkerson, I think that was a prophet.
  17. Yes you can read it 2 ways. I never even thought of reading it like you do. But that was not the end. If you believe that was the end then this is it. This is the new heaven and earth. A full preterist said that to a widow. She said: This is not heaven. My husband is dead. The end is after Israel has gone to exile and came back to the land and is saved. Ezekiel 37 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ” “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. “David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.” ’ ” Ezekiel 37:12‭-‬14‭, ‬21‭-‬28 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/ezk.37.12-28.NKJV
  18. I tried to listen to a sermon online today because there's no way we can go there and a part was great but then he had to talk about his wife and how great it all was that God gave her and how much they loved each other. Pffffff. So I put it off. I'll try again some other time. Lol then I was grumpy and said: Lord thank You that You gave me my ex to polish my character like iron, which I thought was hilarious and gave me great joy. My ex once preached. We were then already divorced some years, but I went there for the kids. He made a joke that when you're alone you're like: ooooh I wish I was married and then you're married and you're like: oooooh I wish I was alone. Nobody thought it was funny, but I was laughing like a horse. Hilarious. A pity he doesn't preach anymore.
  19. It doesn't say the prince destroys it. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The people, the Romans, destroy it, and the prince who is to come is Roman. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), Matthew 24:14‭-‬15 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/mat.24.14-15.NKJV Abomination of desolation will be in the end.
  20. https://www.news24.com/news24/africa/news/uk-starts-raiding-homes-to-deport-asylum-seekers-to-rwanda-20240502 Raiding homes, sounds like WWII and makes me think of that prophecy. https://www.jesus4all.dk/the-valdres-woman11 4. "People from poor countries will stream to Europe. (In 1968 there was no such thing as immigration. E. Minos.) They will also come to Scandinavia - and Norway. There will be so many of them that people will begin to dislike them and become hard with them. They will be treated like the Jews before the Second World War. Then the full measure of our sins will have been reached (I protested at the issue of immigration. I did not understand it at the time. E. Minos.) The tears streamed from the old woman’s eyes down her cheeks. "I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war."
  21. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called
  22. Love this song. We have a Dutch version and only a few years ago I saw that he just stole it. The original is even better. My mom often sang it.
  23. Not seperating the staple and bag from a teabag. I lived in a students house in a city with an environment university and everything got seperated. And in another students house a Dutch reformed girl didn't go to church one sunday because instead she handed out flyers, stuck them behind the windscreen wipers from church goers to tell them they should walk next time to save the environment. Anyway I think the text means mainly just being evil to others and not repenting and not only by dropping bombs and ruining the physical environment. That is just the consequence of sinning. The earth was cursed when Adam ate an apple or a melon or whatever. He didn't drop a bomb. He didn't kill. He didn't drive a car nor have a staple he threw in the green bin. Yet the earth was cursed. And I think you can't take it like literal physical destruction, because God destroyed the earth with a flood because of what the giants and people did.
  24. I had a colleague. He was so friendly and patient. We got a new program and if you didn't understand how something worked you could just ask him and very patient he would explain it. One day his wife called. She was pregnant and decorating the house. There was no stork in the shop, but only a heron and should she buy that one or look in other shops for a stork. And the always sweet to everyone guy said: What do I care about that nonsense?!? Stop bothering me!! Do whatever you want.
