I was with you till the part about it being God's punishment. It reminds me of that same remark being attributed to tornadoes that destroy communities in the mid-west and elsewhere in America. Making God look like an evil tyrant that sends natural disaster, or terrorists in this discussion, to kill and destroy his creation so that they in their fear will call out to him. That is not the God I serve.

What compels the left to obscure the truth about a political ideology cloaked as a (false) religion? Those are likely to become his disciples. There are people who enjoy evil rather than good. Those too are likely to be his disciples. It is all as God planned for this world. A tightrope walk if you will. Between the fates of paradise and hell. Good and evil. Righteousness and impiety. Without Satan operating in this world we would not seek salvation from it.
