  1. Kiwi, we all have a personal encounter of some kind with Jesus when we are born again.
  2. Brother Tan......you said that being born again only involves a change of the body not the mind.......so where does the soul and spirit factor in, and how about being translated into the kingdom of light.......and being seated in heavenly places.....and entering the kingdom of God.....etc. Being born again means being born of the SPIRIT, so what does that have to do with our bodies of FLESH. I have a brother who got scooped up by SDA as soon as he was born again.......so sad, he is in worse shape now and there is no victory in his life.....not hard to understand why when I hear false doctrine like this. I'm sorry to tell you your teachings are so full of MIXTURE...........and THAT MEANS IT IS OF BABYLON.
  3. Well said brother.........the church is so terribly full of the world, words fail, I only wish they could see it. It sure is not the gospel they are teaching and living.....makes you wonder what bible they are reading.....except that i know myself how one can read it and still not see, because there is an Enemy at work. All I can say is those false leaders will have lot to answer for how they led God's flock.
  4. AMEN.............clapping my hands over this one......so utterly true, amen.
  5. Sorry brother, I can't agree with this. Paul was the first apostle of the church age, following Pentecost.......who did not walk with Jesus when He was on the earth. To say that we no longer need apostles is in disagreement with where we are told apostles are one of the gifts of the Spirit..........that Spirit that was poured out on the church AFTER Jesus had ascended to heaven and was no longer on the earth.
  6. I agree with you sister, it is sick.......and it's hard not to get discouraged about these things sometimes, the things we are seeing in the church......but it's only because they are men of renown....which are never spoken well of in the bible.....that they are the most visible........because they crave the limelight (and the perks that come with it) instead of shunning it. Those who are truly of Christ will just simply be found quietly doing the work of an apostle, doing the work of a prophet, doing the work of an evangelist, or whatever gifts and callings a person is given. Just that it is rare to see........especially since the flock is scattered in the last days, the Body of Christ cannot really function as a Body when it is so scattered. Have a hunch that persecution is what will gather His true flock together.......even if we are being gathered into jail cells or concentration camps. His light is going to arise and shine again in the deep darkness....the Lord will see to it.....somehow. Meanwhile it is a time of being prepared. The devil has done a work in causing the church to fall away, but I believe in His own good time, the Lord will reply to it.......because He is coming for His true church victorious......and how can we be victorious if there is no battle to fight. There are groups who don't believe God does miracles today, for the simple reason that they never see any......but I just have to believe that even though we may not ourselves personally see everything the bible speaks of yet or even in our whole life, doesn't nullify one word of scripture.
  7. Praise be to God, the Lord is so good, FollowtheLamb.........He is never short on ways to speak to His children, to encourage and strengthen us for the journey. It's as though moments like that give us glimpses of what awaits us in heaven too.......so that like Jesus we endure to the end, for the joy that is set before us.
  8. Amen frienduff thaylorde........Jesus warned in the last days many would come in His name saying they are Christ, and not to follow them.......hope this poster looks in the mirror of the word and reads that, and may the Lord help him find his way back to truth.
  9. Can just offer some bits and pieces of understanding that I have, open for discussion and by no means complete. One thing is that Paul was an apostle who had not been with Jesus during His days on the earth, he came after the 12.......so apostleship is still a current gift to the church, it is not a gift that ceased after the original 12 apostles. Also, the NT talks about prophets being tested by other prophets in the church.........so that too is a current gift to the church. Since they are foundational, true apostles bring pure doctrine of Jesus and the gospel, they possess the plumbline of Jesus Christ to measure ourselves against, and as such is the "greatest" gift. Signs and wonders are ascribed to apostles in Book of Acts. In general they are like the point of the spear, blazing the trail, and taking the brunt of the enemy's opposition to the church, like Paul said.... 1Corinthians 4:9-13 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. So for true apostles, it is very costly, not an easy calling to put it mildly. Prophets prophesy and give prophetic guidance to the church in general and to individual members of the body....they are watchmen who warn of the wiles of the enemy and impending danger and pitfalls. I don't believe we have to make an issue of naming and labelling people according to their gifts for the most part.......I'm seeing the Body of Christ as being like a living organism and each part will be found doing what it has been given to it to do, in simplicity and humbly obeying the Head of the Body, and there are often overlapping gifts.....the Spirit blows where it willeth........but it is needful to recognize and respect those who have been given greater spiritual gifts of leadership and to submit ourselves to those who watch over our souls, as the bible says, not to give them added grief.
  10. The Lord bless all who love Him and may He receive the love and praises of His people. So blessed to be reminded of this....in a vision I saw the Lord Jesus and it was just like Isaiah 6:1, He just kept entering until His train completely filled the Temple.......all I could do was look at the loveliness and beauty (glory) of Jesus, His nature, and it made me utterly forget myself........I was so completely taken up with Him, with gazing at Him, He completely filled my vision, and it was as though I literally forgot I existed......it was the most wonderful freedom (from myself) in those moments and could only wish it would never stop. No problem at all understanding after that how angels can spend eternity around His throne doing nothing but worshiping Him and saying Holy, holy, holy.........He is indescribable.....glorious, beautiful, precious, lovely, majestic and more, words are truly not adequate.......hallelujah to His blessed wonderful Name. What joy awaits us in heaven......and so shall we FOREVER be with the Lord, amen. Like the old hymn.......Be thou my vision..
  11. If we have the Holy Spirit the Lord helps us to see beyond the outward appearance of a thing. We have to understand that a mark or seal is a seal of ownership. It MEANS something if we voluntarily submit ourselves to being branded, tagged or chipped like cattle........it means somebody owns us.......it designates what flock or herd we belong to. Human beings are not cattle.......we are made in the image and likeness of Almighty God......we belong to Him........bought with a price, we are not even our own. Who is our master...? I pray it is the Lord who seals me with His mark/seal and that I belong to HIS sheepfold. It comes at a cost though.....following Christ always comes with a cost.......so I don't expect it to be very convenient. Interesting that Jesus spoke of following Him in terms of counting the cost of building a tower.........which the beast's Tower of Babel (Babylon) is a counterfeit.
  12. How inexpressably lovely...........and to think we will gaze upon His glory and be swallowed up by it for eternity. Holy, holy, holy is He, amen.
  13. LOL! That is very encouraging! Yes, all is well, all is well, just fine thank you...........the alternative is not what we want for ourselves, to perish with the world! Like the song goes......."whatever befall, thou hast taught me to say, it is well with my soul." And how many of us have even yet had to resist unto blood.......many are suffering much more for the name of Christ in other nations and other times in history too than we have yet to suffer here in the west. But soon I believe we will be asked to put our carcasse of flesh on the altar too for the Lord, so it is well to prepare for that eventuality........and still say, "all is well". Help us Lord......that we be not like Zipporah who complained about Moses being a bridegroom of blood.........because yes our Bridegroom is also, who shed His blood for us. Hebrews 12:2-6 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
  14. I sure do agree in principle about political correctness and that sin needs to be preached and taught and called what it is....sin. Just trying to clarify what is being meant here in practice.........for example Jesus was kind and gentle to the woman at the well even while addressing her sin. He left her with her dignity and worth intact.......He didn't call her a bad name.......unlike how she would have been treated by the "righteous" religious people of her day. I hope you believe we should go and do likewise as Jesus did......our righteousness exceeding that of the Pharisees. Children conceived through the sin of their parents should not be labelled by the church and considered somehow sub-standard as human beings. I have a hunch you would be kind in practice, and that you would agree preaching and teaching the flock is a bit different than how one approaches lost souls who don't know the Lord.....?
  15. I think there is a difference between preaching in a general sense and how we talk to people personally one to one. However, the word bastard means illegitimate child or child born out of wedlock by definition, so there is nothing wrong or inaccurate in just saying the meaning of the word. And today the word "bastard" is considered foul language, so I don't think we bring credit to the gospel to use it.....nor any need to since we can easily use other words to convey the same meaning. Apart from reading or quoting the bible directly........in which case the word bastard is only used twice in the entire bible and plural form only once......and in all instances it is used to convey spiritual truth, not to condemn children. Society condemning unmarried mothers and making outcasts of their children was both hypocritical as well as self-righteous, and that is not the gospel. I see it kind of like the police and earthly government's job is to catch and arrest wrong doers and punish them.........but that is not the job of followers of Christ to punish and condemn the lost any more than it is for us to go to war and kill our enemies....which is the job of earthly authorities as well. The Lord sent people to punish Israel in her waywardness too......but woe to them afterwards, God then punished them for punishing Israel. I don't believe that is the role of the Christian.
  16. Erk........maybe this needs a little clarifying.....? I'm so grateful that Jesus bore my shame on the cross. When I was an unwed mother, I remember being so thankful to be called a "single mother" and not demeaning names, because it allowed me to keep enough dignity and self-worth to be able to carry on.....life could have really spiralled down otherwise as it most always did for unwed mothers in earlier days because of the self-righteousness of society. I already was a little bit agoraphobic during my pregnancy because of shame of going out in public in that condition and not having a husband. The only one who called my boy a bastard was his stepfather later on who ground into the dirt what little was left of his soul after others had helped themselves to him. Dear God it has made the road back longer and more difficult for him. Time after time the Lord has been so kind to my son........and to me.........a trail of pebbles of kindnesses leading back to Him. His kindness leads to repentance. The term bastard in the bible is to teach us a spiritual truth........a bastard was a child who would not inherit, having been "born" of spiritual adultery and spiritual fornication with idols. In the natural realm illegitimate children were typically born of incest or to concubines and female slaves who usually didn't have a say in the matter......in pagan societies they were often put out to die of dehydration and exposure as soon as they were born....but that is not the heart of God is it. It is a precious thing and departure from the world of that time how Jesus was so gracious to the woman at the well who had 5 husbands, He didn't shame her or demean or call her any names......and she became a vessel proclaiming the gospel and bringing others to Christ.
  17. If by "wild" you mean led by the Spirit.....which blows where HE wills and not the will of man.......then I agree brother. Amen.....follow Him outside the camp......that is where He is found.
  18. Yes, it's all for gain......money and position in the 'new world order'. And many giving to their ministries over the years are already poor or struggling........it is terribly sick, and the wolves will have to account to God for that.
  19. Agree with you freinduff.......the church has long been muzzled by the same political correctness that is in the world and afraid to do things the bible way any more........with disastrous results, as you are pointing out........it has fallen away. 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
  20. They are called wolves because they eat the sheep.......they use the sheep for their own gain in other words......ego, career, money, position, sexual exploitation, as well as building of their own kingdoms. Ezekiel 34 gives us a good description, as well as Zechariah 11:16.
  21. Whoa brother........where did you find this in scripture....?
  22. I have not studied specifics of angels and spirits, powers and principalities etc, and don't really know if or when we can use those words interchangeably. A spirit can involve more than one specific demon or fallen angel......I think.....? Have to confess I hardly know how to define that word when I use it. But I believe the reason for the beast turning on the harlot is because the beast is just using the harlot to help him come to power....when he is finished using her, he will not want to share his power/money etc with her any longer and get rid of her. It is also God's judgment on her. And not surprising in a way since Satan's kingdom is divided against itself. It just seems like the devil is getting people to not be natural any longer........homosexuality, technology, abortions, everyone giving away their countries to foreigners, essentially. And political correctness (spirit of stupor) has hamstrung people to not say anything against anything for fear of being considered racist or intolerant etc. Men are not allowed to be men any more.........and that has to be a Jezebel spirit. It is not that as followers of Christ we would have anything to do with war or protecting territory etc.....but God has given that role to governments, who because of political correctness no longer are protecting their own countries from "peaceful invasions" of other races. But over it all.......sits the Lord on His throne.......who is judging us just like He judged ancient Israel......who He said would be ruled over by the stranger in their midst if they turned away from Him.....as well as give them a spirit of stupor and other curses. Anyway........the main point is to remain faithful to the Lord........and don't drink the world's koolaid of mutifaith unity and all roads lead to God......because they don't. There is only ONE way to the Father, and His name is Jesus Christ.
  23. Amen, so right, bless you brother........it is all those things.....comforting, strengthening and encouraging to know how the Lord has foreseen it all and is in complete control on His Throne, watching over us, no matter what happens. It has been written in His word, and in creation.....before any of it came to be.
  24. If by an angel you mean a spirit........I would agree it is a kind of spirit.......and manifested in different places at different times in history. For sure the Mystery Babylon and Mother of Harlots is of the spirit of Jezebel. The city is called Babylon in Revelations....the great city......it is like the city of Babel resurrected......so really in one way it is the whole world unified in the last days....and the whole world will be judged.........but will have it's seat somewhere, since antichrist will sit in a certain location. Here is something I had written out and saved it, so I wouldn't forget....test it of course, just some pieces of the puzzle and might be partly right and partly wrong......but it's interesting because it agrees with a lot of what you have touched on here: ------------------------------------------------------------- I am wondering if Mystery Babylon is the false prophet (aka Jezebel) luring all to that beast, which has seven heads, the seven main tentacles of Babel wanting to be re-united......this is just a glimpse. Seven heads being the seven main races and types of religions/faiths in the world…? Antichrist will be the head of it, a global empire, just like Nimrod was, and even now we understand that antichrist is the spirit of it. God scattered Babel in order that the fallen human race not do all that is in their imaginations to do..........what are the things man is imagining now........a virtual reality kind of future for mankind, slaves to their devices, genetic engineering, mixing species together, cloning, even GMO crops, and an "anything goes" mentality, right being called wrong and wrong being called right.....etc. It’s a picture of horrifically messing with God's order of creation on every level. Babel was man unified in one......God scattered it.....the devil keeps trying to bring it back.......City/empire of Babylon was multicultural, multifaith......this influence (which is in the fallen heart of man anyway) was picked up by ancient Rome which was also a multicultural/multifaith city empire.......fast forward to today....what is being sold to the masses is multicultural/multifaith cities and nations, blending of races and faiths together. It is outright rebellion against what God did in giving different peoples, their own borders to live in (for the most part......dont' misunderstand me, I do not believe God is against inter-racial marriage or anything like that on an individual level). But God gave man a chance to obey Him and they are not...........so it's like when this rebellion is on a global scale, what choice will He have now (so to speak) but to destroy them all, because it is like they are setting themselves on a path to pollute and destroy His creation so irrevocably.
  25. Just want to say brother, your point is well-taken.........about not being extravagant as the world tends to be, but keep it simple and let any surplus be given to the poor. It's the way we should live as well as die, amen. The Lord was showing me another aspect, just about being respectful of the dead......the body of Jesus was treated properly and buried properly, and God knowing there was to be a resurrection of it. The extravagance of the alabastor box and perfume was because He was God and worthy of it........we do not need to anoint our dead extravagantly or do anything in an expensive way. Extravagance is the world's way.....and I believe that is the point you were making, and to that I say amen.
