  1. I do miss Santa. I wonder why he ran away.
  2. Yay!! Now I can put up my Christmas tree. I was waiting for the thread to show up!! never, nope, no ..... because Thanksgiving is usually included in the Christmas is evil threads ....
  3. I know, they're usually popping by now. Maybe people are too distracted with the election. I'm still debating on if I will put up my tree or not.
  4. This is such a hard decision ....almost harder than an Omegaman quiz...... I'll go with the one I would most often like to eat ......... My vote is ......... Pecan .............................. but almost every pie is delicious......... ugh!!!!!!
  5. I'd encourage you to deep dive into Kamala's history. She is more socialist leaning than Bernie, and that is saying something. I don't just believe what DJT says, so you can lose that tone with me, in fact, I tend to not believe what most people say about someone and do my own research. I spend time looking into what side they were on as it comes to certain things of importance (abortion, healthcare, immigration, etc). I spend my time listening to their speeches in the past, their comments that they've made publicly. I know I won't convince you of anything and I'm not going to waste any time trying. But if you do spend any amount of time looking into her/her history/the things she is very well known being "pro" for, you'll see that she is leaning toward socialism and is at least the most liberal of all the senators we have/had. As for Biden, well, I'll just say no comment. Personally, I just can't back a person who is pro-abortion in any regard. Both Biden and Harris have been very upfront in their stance of being pro-choice. If for no other reason, that alone would have sent me to voting independent or to the Republican ticket. Anywho, what's done is done and God is in control.
  6. Trump is better then turning into a socialistic country and losing our rights, but that's my opinion and you're certainly entitled to yours.
  7. What you'll need: 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 cup sweet Vidalia or yellow onion, peeled and diced small (about 1 medium onion) 1 large jalapeno pepper (about 4 to 5 inches long), diced very small (the seeds are where the heat is concentrated; included or discard them based on preference) 4 garlic cloves, peeled and finely minced 32 ounces (4 cups) low-sodium chicken broth two 14.5-ounce cans diced tomatoes and juice (I used petite diced, no-salt-added) one 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (use store bought rotisserie chicken to save time; or roast or cook your own chicken in a skillet) 1 1/2 cups corn (I used frozen straight from the freezer, fresh may be substituted) 1 tablespoon lime juice 1 tablespoon chili powder 2 teaspoons cumin 2 teaspoons salt, or to taste 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (regular paprika may be substituted) 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional and to taste 1/3 cup fresh cilantro leaves, finely minced diced avocado for serving, optional for serving shredded cheese, optional for serving sour cream, optional for serving To make: In a large Dutch oven or stockpot, add 2 tablespoons olive oil and heat over medium-high heat to warm. Add the onion, jalapeno, and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until vegetables begin to soften. Stir intermittently. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir intermittently. Add the chicken broth, tomatoes and juice, black beans, chicken, corn, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, 2 teaspoons salt, pepper, smoked paprika, optional cayenne pepper, and bring to a boil. Allow mixture to boil gently for about 5 to 7 minutes. If at any point the overall liquid level looks low or you prefer your soup to have more broth, add 1 to 2 cups of water; you’ll adjust the salt and seasoning levels at the end. Add the cilantro and boil 1 minute. Taste soup and add salt to taste. This will vary based on how salty the chicken broth, tomatoes, black beans, and rotisserie chicken are, and personal preference. Make any necessary seasoning adjustments (i.e. more salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, etc.). Serve with tortilla chips or strips on top, with shredded cheese, sour cream, and/avocado
  8. I'd actually like a recount of all 50 states. I, myself, am a Trump "supporter" and haven't wept and cried in a "tizzy" as you put it, neither have those I know who also voted Trump. While I'm on that line let me say, I don't necessarily care for Trump but felt compelled to vote for him as he was the candidate for the party that lines up closest with my Christian values/the party that will at least attempt to uphold some of the rights I value. I am disappointed if Biden truly has won (which will be determined soon enough) but as an adult I woke up the next day and went to work, handled my business, and will continue to do so. I do remember 2016 though, when I saw countless democrats weeping in the streets when Trump won. Screaming belligerently. Universities having to cancel classes and call in counsellors. LOL so what party needs to get some self respect?? I don't think it's ours.
  9. Yes, it's using lettuce as a wrap
  10. Cake and pie are vastly different things.
  11. Lemon icebox pie is not getting enough credit here.
  12. Then you're having blueberry overnight oats made with almond milk and a coffee. A "un-wich" with turkey, cheese, tomato, and bacon And probably some oven roasted sweet potato with some lightly breaded chicken and perhaps some air fryer brussels sprouts to end the day.
  13. More than likely, Trump's legal teams are gathering the intel to handle this in the courts, which would be the proper way. I've seem numerous articles and videos showing things. Just a few minutes ago I read an article that sworn affidavit's have been processed from those in Michigan who watched copious amounts of fraud take place. Time will tell what can be done.
  14. LOL I had to turn it all off this weekend to prevent my head from imploding. It's definitely going to be an interesting month or so. I'll be there in a jiffy with desserts.
  15. Banana cream pie sounds good today.
  16. Are you willing to share the salsa and chips? I'll bring queso and some dessert.
  17. We're not allowed to hug. *elbow tap*
  18. Aimes

    Political cats

This is true, our winning was much overshadowed it seems. heartbroken does not even begin to describe me.
  19. wait, there were changes? Again? I guess I have mine so fixed the way I want it, I didn't even notice.
  20. I like a good chicken salad sandwich.
  21. Nope, I make a few exceptions. I love pineapple upside down cake and a good carrot cake. The rest of them, I just don't like, never have. Angered my mother as she loved cake and hated pie (totally the opposite for me). Although, we would compromise sometimes. I don't totally hate cake that is unfrosted, so I would give in and let her make me a cake for my birthday as long as she left my piece unfrosted
  22. Cow ............ we don't drink penguin milk, remember I love almost all pies. I'm not a cake fan though.
  23. my mom would make one using fresh berries that she cooked down, topped with a homemade whipped cream and fresh berries on top. Twas delish. I don't think I've had rhubarb ever so not sure I can cast a vote on that.
