  1. "Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."
  2. 1 Corinthians 7:13-14 If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. Corinthians 7:16 How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
  3. Then some people are born, destined to go to hell? What's the point of life if you're automatically doomed?
  4. Reference me scripture teaching otherwise.
  5. Firstly, good deeds and perseverance for righteousness, are common even with non-believers. Perhaps the only and greatest sign of being saved, is the change of heart. Is it possible to be deceived by your old(nonbeliever) nature, that you're saved, by your carnal desire for good? Ex: reading scripture you find that faith saves you. So you take all the steps to salvation. But you follow the commandments as that's your carnal nature in obedience, meanwhile you're not actually saved, and you spend your life doing good deeds; not as a result of being born-again. Assuming also a conviction based on carnal guilt. Now it's almost impossible to decipher whether your change of character came from: being born again, or carnal obedience to rules. Is this the greatest deception to those who believe they're saved? There are countless stories of 'Christians', who fall away 20-30 years later "in the faith". Or 20-30 years later actually get saved.
  6. Can everyone get saved by faith? Or is it first necessary for God to choose who he wills. Is everyone chosen, but fails to respond? You were chosen before the world began, is that inclusive of all? What's the deal with this common teaching: "you may know Jesus, but does he know you?". If you have faith, then you're saved, meaning he knows you? If everyone on earth simultaneously had personal faith for Jesus, would everyone be saved? Theses commonly brought up aspects, invalidate the foundational method to salvation: faith. Is it possible to have faith, meanwhile not be saved.
  7. Why do they and why does the Spirit/God allow it? Does the Spirit temporarily leave? The fruit of the Spirit doesn't include hate/anger/bitterness.
  8. Nope, it's the mods deleting.
  9. Usually the one who see's the conversation as in the picture, is the one who gets offended by truth, thereby getting angry and assuming the other person is also angry.
  10. I can see we're on page 2 already, and no one has attempted to answer your question. Typical on this forum. Either someone is offended, rants about something irrelevant, posts opinions without reference, or whatnot. Also "some people" like coming on every single Sabbath thread, and complaining that people post Sabbath threads. Meanwhile complaining that it doesn't matter if you keep it or not. Ironic right. You can highlight things, bold, underline, and somehow questions fly over their heads. So I will try and answer as best I can. Firstly, Jesus does teach how to keep the Sabbath, he does not disprove of it, and that's fact. However, he does not teach directly how to keep it, but rather indirectly. He teaches by a way of negation; discrediting the Pharisee's additions to Sabbath, to the reveal the true essence of Sabbath. Jesus taught from the basis of OT: Keep it Holy and rest from work. So what is the true meaning of keeping Sabbath? Very simple, it is created for man to have rest. Not to be a burdensome thing, but rather to benefit us. In order to understand how to keep it, you must look at it as simply as possible. It's a set apart day for us humans. A day where you turn your attention away from all worldly things, and turn to God; keep the day Holy(set apart). No worrying about taxes, mortgage, bills, etc. I think by your question, you may be assuming there is a specific structure to keeping the Sabbath, as they did in OT. However, this is not the case. Sabbath is made for man, therefore it is for us to decide how we keep it. If people want to work 7 days a week, that's fine. I would rather rest, meditate on God and delve into scripture. I don't see why people complain about keeping a day of rest, or why they find it burdensome. I wouldn't mind 3-4 Sabbaths every week.
  11. Looks like we have an answer. Thanks, Yowm.
  12. I'm not here to argue either. Only to state what I see as the truth. Thanks for your kind response.
  13. Would it not be too late if he already died?
  14. The point of this thread, is to determine God's justice. What he would do in that situation. Only God has the true answer, so I'm expecting a true answer from you.
  15. Alright. But even after knowing John was not born again?
  16. It had little to do with the point I was making. Even If I did make that statement a basis. Your response would still hold no value, as I didn't say you must keep laws in order to be saved.
  17. Explain how understanding God's justice is dangerous?
  18. If this is a silly thread, what does that make you, who has commented on it more than anyone? Again, John isn't real. Don't worry about him being saved or not. Worry about the millions of real people who perish without being saved.
  19. This isn't a salvation thread.
  20. How can you determine what accusations of mine are false? Again, point to where I said anyone has to keep the Sabbath. You have an inborn hostility on this forum to the slightest suggestion of law obedience.
  21. The intent is to understand how just God is, as the title suggests. John was not saved. John is not a real person. You don't have to worry about him, he's not actually going to hell or heaven.
  22. Hypothetical questions requires all details of the question to be taken as fact. Otherwise the question has no meaning. Either acknowledge that John wasn't saved, or don't bother answering.
  23. This question is simple to answer. Either say, "Yes, God would let him into heaven." "No, he would send him to hell." Or, "I don't know".
  24. If he judges Johns heart, and he see's he has good intentions. But he wasn't saved, would he allow John to enter heaven?
