  1. You might find Thieves' Oil information interesting. It was used in some form in 1413 to prevent the bubonic plague. I use various essential oils, and the ones in this article are very potent ones. https://livelovefruit.com/healing-thieves-oil-recipe/ Frankincense essential oil is referred to in the Bible at the time of rebellion: Numbers Chapter 16 45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. 48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. Here are 9 potent antiviral essential oils, all far too powerful to be used undiluted so each must be researched: cinnamon, oregano, melissa, peppermint, ginger, manuka (a tree; manuka honey is popular), thyme, tea tree, star anise. (Frankincense is another one, as are lemon, clove, etc.)
  2. This is probably the best version that I posted of The Bible When You Want It, wonderful collection of verses, categorized. I could not find it using Search, so it is posted elsewhere here today, along with some verses that have helped me in the spiritual struggle with Satan.
  3. Wish I could hit the Smiley Grin icon! This deserves more than a Like.
  4. Your post reminded me of all the Lord has for us to enjoy in eternity. These verses came to mind: Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Years ago I learned the Hebrew alphabet and a couple of hundred words, to the point where I can often sound out a word in a headline. The Hebrew names' meanings shed light on the stories, and when I look one up, I am always glad I did. I have received a lot of pleasure even out of that bit. From time to time I need to review certain characters. It was easy to find the alphabet in a dictionary. I'm still studying the books in English.
  5. Thank you for the suggestions. I did that, clicked the toggle (upper right) but scrolled down, but the words Blurred Background isn't available. Just have: Mobil Nav Bar - Larger Font For Posts - Sticky Author Panel Mobil Nav. Bar is on, others are not. I may play with it sometime. It seems to be my browser that has caused problems, so my son will make some changes when he comes in a few weeks. Thanks again.
  6. I did, and it is probably about like everyone else's setup. I decided to try Microsoft Edge, and also Google Chrome. My sons will be here for the holidays and one of them will make some changes in my usual browser choice. Thanks.
  7. Yes, I found this site appears different if I go to Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. My son will look into making some changes during the Christmas holidays. I'm cutting back my time at computer for awhile now.
  8. Help me to see what to click. I am trying to do a screenshot of Worthy Christian. The 3 bars has a choice of Purple, Steel, etc.
  9. Here is a bit about Israel, the land the Lord gave to the Jews. This is by Samuel Clemens, "Mark Twain," 1867, from his book. Innocents Abroad: Mark Twain visited Israel in 1867, and published his impressions in Innocents Abroad. He described a desolate country – devoid of both vegetation and human population: “….. A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds… a silent mournful expanse…. a desolation…. we never saw a human being on the whole route…. hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.” He was amazed by the smallness of the city of Jerusalem: “A fast walker could go outside the walls of Jerusalem and walk entirely around the city in an hour. I do not know how else to make one understand how small it is.” And he described the Temple Mount thus: “The mighty Mosque of Omar, and the paved court around it, occupy a fourth part of Jerusalem. They are upon Mount Moriah, where King Solomon’s Temple stood. This Mosque is the holiest place the Mohammedan knows, outside of Mecca. Up to within a year or two past, no christian could gain admission to it or its court for love or money. But the prohibition has been removed, and we entered freely for bucksheesh.” Chapters 45-56 of Innocents Abroad can be read on Shechem.org. More quotes from pilgrims to the Holy Land can be found on the COJS website. +++ Jeremiah 31:2-3 2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. 3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
  10. We were there about 2 weeks. Overcast some. It was August and while we were on Colonsay we caught the tail end of a hurricane, so delayed our big ferry about 7 hours, until 2 am but we were welcomed pre-dawn by the couple of the house where we stayed. It did rain next day, and I had my winter hooded coat in the driving rain and ?barely 50 or ?40s, then incredible golden sunset and clouds right above next evening. Several sheep had a regular niche in a hillside where they stayed out of the rain. Most of the time in cities it was quite nice, not very sunny. We loved Oban, Inverness, Glasgow, and Edinburgh! We had an unforgetable, wonderful trip.
  11. Yes I see the strip with Worthy Christian Forums Discussions Right above it is 2 x 5 strip of total white, then small black Worthy box and in upper right 6 black symbols House, + , as I have described all in the white blank area. Now something new did not work: the strip at the bottom big white strip has symbols for Forms, Unread, Notifications Messages (which I use to avoid all the scrolling up and down) and this time it did not display any message, no Notifications, so I went to very top upper right, clicked the 3 bars, scrolled to very bottom of the popup, in order to Sign Out. That is when I saw that up there I did have 3 notifications ! It is mainly a full width 2 inch strip deep by wide horizontal strip of white blank up there. Someone said they think that some browsers just don't work with this site. I use Firefox.
  12. I enjoyed that. Years ago, my late husband and I flew to Denmark, met our son who was in US Army in Germany, ferried straight to Scotland, and rode train all around and the ferry out to Colonsay. (I wish I had known then to go to Wigtownshire, place of my 17th century banished ancestor.) I recall being able to understand almost everyone until we got in the cab and I could not understand the Glaswegian cab driver. Our other son was able to visit Scotland a couple of years later, and he backpacked all over, but not to the Hebrides.
  13. Thanks for inquiring. No I only use my computer, have a big monitor I like. The appearance right now is different. A bit ago, the Avatars for posts were dark blue or green and tiny on black strip, could not read. Now your Avatar, and ones above it if I scroll, are 10 times bigger and in color! First color I've seen for days to the best of my recollection. The top strip is still white, no buttons on the left so I have to navigate bit by bit.
  14. Thanks for posting that. Mine doesn't look like that at all. I have the white line with The Worthy Christian Forums ..... Discussion line. The gold Worthy medallion log is over in the center (leaving the left area all white).
  15. I clicked the toggle upper right, clicked each of the 7 or so colors, and after selecting a color background, I clicked save. I scrolled and nothing is blurred. Type is clear, most of screen is white with a narrow little band of black around edges. Near the top is a tiny strip showing blue ocean.
  16. Thanks for the comments. I hope I will be able to see the site beyond notifications or unread.
  17. I tried to respond, but it is not showing. Under themes, I have 3 opts (none says Chameleon 4.4) so I am in Chameleon default. No icons in top upper left at all. It is a white long strip with Worthy Logo and upper right has 6 symbols. When I have some time I will try to find some blurry background when I click toggle.
  18. There is one Chameleon (default). I use it. No icons in upper left.
  19. On Themes, I have Worthy Alternative, Worthy New, Chameleon (default) just 3, nothing with Chameleon 4.4 In the top area, the long white strip Toggle I have it set on Waves Mobil. Nothing is blurry, has not been. I will have a very hard time finding you if I try to look at Notifications or Unread. Notifications I think is "topic only." Unread seems to be a very broad group of topics and lots of people posting, but does have topic as well as part of one response. I had mainly stayed in General Discussion in the past, just get tired or would look at Prophecy more.
  20. I am one of those who has no buttons top upper left, just white area in Chameleon, and a purple strip no buttons in either Worthy New or Worthy Alternative. I am in Chameleon. The way I navigate is to click the Bell, skim down to see anything of interest. The loading Unread takes a very long time, always. To "double check" I went to Worthy New and Worthy ... under Themes. Those each load quite slowly, and both have a purple strip all across the top, no buttons and at upper right 3 things to click Home + magnifying glass. Neither Worthy new or Worthy Alternative have the strip across the bottom to choose Forums, Unread, Notifications, Messages, or More. I was not even able to edit this post at either of those "Themes." So I find those 2 Themes not usable. Using Chameleon on top right are the big symbols so I can click Home, Unread, +, Magnifying search, or Toggle -to choose only background color, and 3 bars. Or Along the bottom is a big white strip so I could click Forums Unread Notifications Messages. I find it easiest to use this site to click the Worthy Logo at top, scroll down, view the names of users online and users recently online, click one I recognize. That way I can go to their most recent post. Going to Worthy logo, scrolling down to list is the way I find my own avatar. I had hoped to see a list of those who I follow. Clicking the Bell used to display people and posts I was following. Now clicking the bell seems to be too broad in what it collects. Someone in a post mentioned they think that some browsers don't work well with Worthy Christian Forums, and I think I am one. I do appreciate your interest and efforts to help me.
  21. I may or may not have seen all of your posts for last day or so Debp. I got 17 notifications this morning. Each of the 17 has first who posted, and what the subject. Nothing else, so I picked and chose, and used back button, but had to trust memory as to which I had read. I too notice that the screen suddenly takes me elsewhere, did that a few times. It really loads slowly to go to Unread, and loads slow on some other things, can't remember which ones.
  22. For me, Chameleon default is still a large white strip across the page with no icons at the left, a small Worthy logo box in the center, and over at right some black symbols as I've described. Most of the whole page is white, with 1/4 inch of sky blue only around the perimeter of the whole thing. I did just now try going to very bottom to "Themes" clicking and choosing New Worthy theme and it had some violet mauve backgrounds etc, appeared more like the old site. I did try also Worthy alternative. Neither Worthy New nor Worthy alternative has the wide white strip with no icons. Both have a black strip with big logo, no icons on left anywhere, but on right the home, + sign, bell, magnifying glass. Back to Chameleon now. It is hard to find this reply as I type, lots of scrolling and reading is necessary (Debp your orange avatar doesn't show while I respond) I forgot to mention that when I click for instance the gray square Unread (upper right on my screen) it loads extremely slowly, a big problem.
  23. I went to the black Toggle symbol very top upper right of page (in all the big white area) and clicked it and chose "Sky" for background color, but everything else up top is white, no icons. (That toggle allows 1 thing, choose a "background" color)
  24. I clicked Chameleon but my top area is still mostly white, no avatar. I'll check back tomorrow, getting late.
  25. I don't have any symbols (or avatar) in the upper left either. No globe. So, the left top of page is all white about 2" deep and about 4" wide white then Worthy then in upper right: 6 black symbols House, Unread, + Magnifier Toggle (only changes background color) then 3 bars (a list of things). When I go to the bottom and click Theme, I have 3 choices, and I have tried each one, Worthy alternative, Worthy new or similar, and Chameleon (and in upper left corner there is still just a blank area which is fairly large left top half of page almost). The first day I had no notices at the bottom, but now I have symbols for: Forums then Unread gray square then the Bell then Messages then More My username avatar does not appear at the top of the screen (only with this post). The More takes me to a slim white page with my username a bell and a list below it which I must scroll to Sign Out on. It appears some of have very different pages/site than others. The missing icons across the top are causing problems in navigating I believe.
