  1. And as you said, they are tied to other events in this case. Mat 13:47- Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Mat 13:48- Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. Mat 13:49- So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, Mat 13:50- And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Mat 13:57- Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. This comes right after the wheat and tares parable where Jesus says; v. 38- The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom That' us! It cannot be only part of the field being reaped. v. 40- As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. As far as I can tell, people aren't thrown into the fire only after having a "hearing"- JUDGMENT. v. 43- Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. It is at the, "END of THIS WORLD". (v. 40) There is, "the world that then was" (2 Peter 3:6) that ended with the flood. There is, "this world" as Jesus said above. And there is, "the world to come" also referred to by Jesus. Where in the worlds do you think this event fits? Apparently, the disciples had no problem understanding these things. And I don't think Jesus changed it up in Rev. 20. Rev 11:15- And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. That seems to be quite a big deal. And sure enough, those people in Rev 20 are raised at that time as well because it is, "the time of the dead."
  2. Luke 13:39- The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Rev 14:14-16- And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. Rev 14:15- And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. Rev 14:16- And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. Of course Jesus Himself cannot tell you the "day" but it IS discernable that it would have to be at the end of this world whenever that is. Mat 13:40- As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. Mat 12:32- And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. You previously said that your position is the last day of the 1,000 yrs. But that cannot be. You also posted a verse of scripture showing that the rest of the dead don't live again until "after the 1,000 yrs are completed." That day MUST be over with first! The next day? That would not be a "last day" After the fire comes down and devours those enemies after a little season? It is not defined. Is there definitive reference for that position? Luke 19:12- He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. Luke 19:15- And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom... This is followed by an accounting of His servants. Then it ends by Jesus saying; Luke19:27- But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. So there rewards and punishments when He returns, no waiting centuries. Servants and enemies. The 1000 yr. shoe won't fit this teaching. Rev 6:16- And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: Either people worldwide have been studying up on the bible or they are terrified to SEE His face and His throne when He appears at His second coming. I have a guess for what color His throne is. Rev 11:18- (NIV et al) The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead...
  3. You admit that you have no direct statement regarding "after the thousand yrs" and it still seems like a reliance on non exitance of of a statement. That would make it hard to do much bible learning at all. Trinity etc. But I have provided plenty of scriptural evidence. (all rejected) Heb 2:5- For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. And there are other references of the "world to come" and I think it is fair to say it will be different from this one, as was pointed out by scripture. 2Pe 3:6- Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: This is why I insist that the change is shown to us in the scriptures as well. Rev 6:14- And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And I think the apostles did know when the end of the world was. Mat 13:39- The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Mat 13:41- The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Mat 13:49- So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just Mat 24:3- And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Mat 24:31- And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Mat 24:2- Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: Mat 24:33- So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near even at the doors. Mat 25:31- When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: After this verse there is a record of what happens, "when the Son of man shall come." It includes those going into their reward and those going into fire. No criteria requiring martyrdom or great tribulation is put on them. In fact to, "enter in" it does require a resurrection. I believe that there is a DAY that has to be the last day of this world. It is not un discernable and can be found by comparing the pertinent scriptures. It settles it for me.
  4. When indeed. As far as I can tell your position is it will be after the thousand year of Christ reining. I also noticed Jesus didn't bother to correct the sister of Lazarus when she said she knew He would raise him. This means she expected many more than Lazarus on that day. Have you pointed out a source in scripture that declares the last day is after the thousand years? (last day of.....?) You seem to be saying that the resurrection at the second coming of Jesus is for the martyrs and tribbers alone. But Paul didn't know it. Even though he said: 2Th 1:7- ...when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 2Th 1:8- In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 2Th 1:9- Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 2Th 1:10- When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. I assume he would have been familiar with this too: Mat 13:4o- As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. Mat 13:41- The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Mat 13:42- And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth This is the second place I pointed out the lake of fire is at the beginning of the 1,000 yrs.
  5. Hi Joe The word, "came" is also subject to context. Here is a small example; my kids looked out the window and said, "look, uncle Bernie came" as he was opening the door. Did he come? Yes. When did he come? Now. When would you say he came? Now. A good synonym would be, "arrived."
  6. Of course. When Paul, speaks about "the dead in Christ", is it a disguised message that the first resurrection won't include the people he was writing to? He tells them, "at His coming." But you are saying that it is 1,000 yrs. after His coming. And I assume you derive the "last day" being after 1,000 yrs. from Rev 20 as well. This is another factor that affects one's position. Rev 20:7-10 is a digression into the future, departing from the first resurrection descriptive, and thus parenthetical. the narrative then continues to describe what happens at the first resurrection. The Great White throne Judgment! Rev 20:11- And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it Mat 25:31- When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory Rev 20:11- from whose face Rev 6:16- the face of him that sitteth on the throne Rev 20:11- here was found no place for them Rev 6:15- hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains Rev 20:12- the dead were judged Rev 6:17- he great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev 20:13- judged every man according to their works. Mat 25:32-45- And before him shall be gathered all nations Rev 20:14- And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire Rev 6:8- Death, and Hell followed Rev 20:15- And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Mat 25:41- Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire Rev 19:20- And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and that worshipped his image. These both were cast them alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Rev 20:10- And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. At is coming, there will be judgment. (see Rev 11:18). Also John 5:29- they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation The beast and false prophet have been in the lake of fore for over 1,000 yrs. by the time the devil is likewise punished. This means there had a judgment 1,000 yrs. earlier. That means there was a resurrection for the statements in Mat 25:41 and Rev 20:15 and it would have to be the first resurrection.
  7. I do so by treating them as all being parts of the same picture. Paul uses words that include ALL of the dead in Christ and ALL of the believers that, "are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord" i.e. live through the great tribulation. If it didn't include all these, "at the coming of the Lord", for example. THEN we would be looking at a resurrections for martyrs only. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: This plainly declares ALL in Christ who have passed away will be resurrected when Jesus comes. No waiting for another thousand yrs. They are in that FIRST of the series. Well this is where we just have to disagree. As far as I can tell, it wasn't understood that way in the N.T. Perhaps you have a new doctrine that all have missed.
  8. I'll comment on this soon, don't have time right now. With this?.... first in rank, influence, honor; chief; principal: without the article, and absolutely, πρῶτος chief:...... (this section excludes Rev 20:5, 6) I see Jesus as being a person. So the great multitude are all qualified by having died. The context of the dead being resurrected is NOT found ONLY in Rev 20. Why exclude it?
  9. There are a number of positions taken by people posting. Much of my input is to say that Rev 20:4,5 shows some of those who are in the FIRST resurrection, but not all. Others are seen in various passages. It includes ALL who are saved. And, I'd say all those who trusted in God for redemption before Jesus came. AND the rest of humanity who had died up until that time! The resurrection brings about Judgment, so it will include the judgment of the unrighteous as well.
  10. 2 Tim 11, 12- It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: The scriptures speak for themselves. All of them, not some, must be considered. The main question in this thread is the, "resurrection." That refers to physical bodies, the spirit of those who have died await being reunited with the body, a NEW body for us.
  11. Ok. Since you choose "protos" in this case to be defined as essentially "choicest" we should look at the technical aspect. The KJV translates Strong's G4413 in the following manner: first (84x), chief (9x), first day (2x), former (2x), miscellaneous (7x). first in time or place in any succession of things or persons first in rank influence, honour chief principal first, at the first †πρῶτος prōtos, pro'-tos; contracted superlative of G4253; foremost (in time, place, order or importance):—before, beginning, best, chief(-est), first (of all), former Below is the word that is referred to above. But first I'll continue with "protos." β. with the article: (ὁ (ἡ, τό) πρῶτος (πρώτη, πρῶτον), in a series which is so complete, either in fact or in thought, that other members are conceived of as following the first in regular order; as..... (a list of scripture references among which is) : Revelation 20:5, 6 2. first in rank, influence, honor; chief; principal: without the article, and absolutely, πρῶτος chief:...... (this section excludes Rev 20:5, 6) Now to the word that protos is a contraction of (G4253) The KJV translates Strong's G4253 in the following manner: before (44x), above (2x), above ... ago (1x), or ever (1x). before πρό pró, pro; a primary preposition; "fore", i.e. in front of, prior (figuratively, superior) to:—above, ago, before, or ever. So is it figurative? No. It is directly tied to its context pertaining another resurrection and SECOND death. It is worth noting that all previous instances in scripture of someone being raised to life, excluding Jesus, thus far in history (two witnesses are future) have the element of another person involved. This is in contrast to the first resurrection. Mat 27 has doubtful grounds as being a resurrection.
  12. Not wrong. The difference is king vs judges. But your insistence mandates one of the apostles, John, out of the prophecy. That's what I mean. My question is; why would scriptures oppose other scriptures instead of building themselves together? You mean AT the return? There are reliable truths evident in the other The "rest of the dead", live after the 1k yrs. which I take to be any who died in that time period and immediately at His coming to slay the enemy armies. Mat 25:31- When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: Well there's one. It can be seen in Mat 24 as well. Mat 24:30- And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. As side note; do you think His elect are only those alive? Rev 11:15- And the seventh angel sounded; and there voices in heaven saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Rev 11:18- And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. 1Th 4:16- For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: These things cannot happen without a resurrection. The people listed above are all inclusive. No restriction is put into this proclamation. It is for, the dead. Jhn 5:28- Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, Jhn 5:29- And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Jhn 6:40- And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day Jhn 12:48- He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. What last day? Jde 1:6- And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Rev 6:17- For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Zep 1:14- The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Zep 1:15- That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, Mar 10:30- But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life There is a world to come. It has to have a first day. It starts here: Rev 11:15- And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever Mat 25:34- Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: There are no exclusions, all are treated the same at the same time. BTW, I believe "coming" and "appearing" are used interchangeably
  13. At the sixth seal people are hiding from the FACE of Him who sits on the throne! This happens when the sky is departed. Rev 6:17- For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand Zep 1:14- The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Zep 1:15- That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness Jude 1:6- And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their... own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Rev 16:14- For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
  14. This is contradictory. "No" (they don't flee away twice.) Then "the first time" meaning (they do), at least one more time. Rev 6:14- And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Rev 16:20- And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. "Libbing-" it does not say that at all in scripture. So stick with something biblical, the heaven "departed". The only scriptural replacement is the "new heaven." No need to guess. I am curious as to whether you also think the following linear as well. Rev 6:12- And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; Is 13:10- For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. Is 24:23- Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously. Joel 2:10- The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: Joel 2:31- The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. Mat 24:29- Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mark 13:24-27- But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Luke 21:25- And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Luke 21:27- And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Rev 1:7- Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen Rev 8:12- And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
  15. I know. As I see it those, "Revelation's Judgments" are intended to show otherwise. Do the mountains and islands flee away twice? The sea becomes like blood twice? At the sixth seal the sky is torn away revealing the new heaven, the mountains and islands flee away showing the new Earth is rapidly taking form. The people are terrified and want to hide from the FACE of the one sitting on the throne! It says it is the GREAT DAY of His wrath! Is that linear? Shouldn't these things be at the END?
  16. John 5:25- Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. Lazarus John 5:28, 29- Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, John 5:29- And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. There are two different times in these references Rev 20:5- But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished Rev 10:7- But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished,- finish (8x), fulfil (7x), accomplish (4x), pay (2x), perform (1x), expire (1x), to bring to a close, to finish, to end passed, finished to perform, execute, complete, fulfil, (so that the thing done corresponds to what has been said, the order, command etc.) with special reference to the subject matter, to carry out the contents of a command with reference also to the form, to do just as commanded, and generally involving the notion of time, to perform the last act which completes a process, to accomplish, fulfil Same word from Jesus on the cross-" "it is finished" Agreed. The point was about John being there.
  17. You weren't looking for a number. You mean like this? John 5:28- Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, What is revealed is that it happens at the 7th trumpet. This time stamp is overarching pertaining these things. Rev 10:7- But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Right, we must ALL that is written on the subject. For example... Mat 25:31, 32- When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations... 2 Tim 4:1- I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Right. The point I made was about John being there to fulfill his office.
  18. Again, you are reading linearly. A quake that affects 10% of 1 city doesn't compare with with "woes" statement. ("the inhabiters of the earth") The scope of the woes are larger/affect more people. Look at the passages. They show numerous separate visions, often parenthetically.
  19. Rev 11:15- And the seventh angel sounded... Rev 11:- And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth This is the RESURRECTION...that is at the END! Means: a shortened version of "as if it were so" "that is", "just as", "so to speak" Look at Rev 11:1 & 2- Totally a different vision than the following verses. Easy to see. Also, Revelation’s Judgments Rev 16:12- And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared Rev 9:14- Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. Rev 16:10- And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, Rev 9:1 & 2- And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. Rev 9:5- …the torment of a scorpion Rev 9:10- …their power...hurt men Rev 16:8 & 9- And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire Rev 8:12- And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. Rev 16:4- And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood Rev 8:10- And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; Rev 16:3- And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. Rev 8:8- And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; Rev 16:2- And the first angel went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image Rev 8:7- The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up SEALS Rev 8:1- And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour Rev 8:3- And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. Rev 8:5- And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. TRUMPETS Rev 11:15- And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Rev 11:19- And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. VIALS Rev 16:17- And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. Rev 16:18- And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. Rev 16:20- And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. Rev 16:21- And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. Not strictly linear.
  20. Well, I will discuss these things but please direct me to the place where you have found, "the first half." I think that that is part of the problem. And, where do you get the quake in Rev 11 as being global? Am I missing something? Did you read Rev 8:8? The size of a mountain. Also, the 2 witnesses show up about 1,260 days before they die. Some of the other things you say shows I was right, you still read Revelation in linear mode. It is NOT strictly linear.
  21. Rev 11:- And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. People worldwide SEE their bodies AND when they rise. For this to happen there has been no stoning from God on a crooked and perverse generation- Rev 8:8. That event causes the cataclysm descriptions. One of which is at least a third of the planet. Rev 16:10- The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony. The grid will fail as a result of the asteroid strike producing a cloud of material ejected right out into space. The charged particles will accumulate glow like the auroras and overload the Earth's electrical distribution system. It is my opinion that THAT event of the two witnesses being taken up is when the worldwide cataclysms begin.
  22. The second woe comes after the first in ch. 9:13-end of chapter. Then follows other visions-7 thunders, mighty angel w/little book, then the passage of the witnesses.
  23. That is because you are reading things in a linear fashion. The book of Revelation shows many separate visions which should be treated as a digression, or in simpler terms, parenthetic. So, after the the discourse on the witnesses, the woes continue.
