  1. There appears to be no evidence in scripture that would indicate there being more than one resurrection (which will occur at the last day of this world). " Martha saith unto Him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." John 11:24 " Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, And they shall come forth ; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life ; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." (John 5:28 -29) A resurrection of the entire human race at one time in the last day of this sin-cursed earth finds harmony in scripture as opposed to a "millenial reign" teaching with different resurrections at different times ( which I do not agree with). What do you think?
  2. Acts 15 circumcision and resurrection circumcision on the 8th day is the shedding of flesh which also implies resurrection In the time of the flood there were giants great of flesh who perished But 8 lives were saved being carried upon the ark or symbol of the cross. The number 8 here also denoting resurrection Parabollically the 7th day Sabbath or rest, or milenial comes before an 8th day just as resting from our own works comes before Him working in us we see Resurrection also in the coming out of the water in baptism after the cross of sacrifice For the flood was death to the Giants in the flesh And the cross is death to the flesh of those being perfected in Christ By the Spirit, or resurrection of the heart or earnest ….. And we see there are those circumsized on the Sabbath in a parable this spiritual circumcision on the Sabbath day of rest may be alluding to those that will crucify their flesh through the Spirit But it also can refer to those who will put off their flesh physically by the quickening by the same Spirit on the Sabbath milenial rest …. Christ speaks to the pharisees about how they circumcise on the sabbath thus nullifying their law against working on the Sabbath he asks how then can they be angry if he nullifies the same law for that which is even greater than the removing of the flesh, for it is the healing of the flesh, But he speaks a parable Circumcision is as a symbol Of putting off the dead body but This physical healing is as a sign of putting on the living body in Christ …. In rev a flood came from the dragons mouth to carry away the woman And the earth (perhaps a parable of the flesh) swallowed it) Or perhaps of mortality being swallowed up of Life Just as in Noah’s day we saw all the earth and flesh were overcome except 8 Resurrection It is said as in the days of Noe so shall the coming of the Son of man be …. And the dragon wages war with her children The children of the time of Joshua were not circumcised until they reached the promised land, circumcised the a symbol of putting off the flesh and the promised land a symbol of our new body …. in the time of Joshua when they entered the promised land of the fruit would be uncircumcised for 3 yrs aswell In the fig which can be seen as a parable of Israel Without fruit for 3 years The first season of the figs of israel can be seen in early summer and can be seen also parabollically in Christ in the number 4 in the 4000 years, or 4 parable days of the Lord, for he already has the fullness of Israel within himself this number seems doubled for the womans remnants resurrection in the 8000 or day after the milenial 8 again seeming to imply circumcision Just as in bearing a woman child the time for cleansing was also doubled … in ezek 28 there’s a reference to the the one who was in the garden at the beginning and he was also the anointed cherub that covers on the holy mount We see the cherub bore only 3×3 or 9 of the 12 stones of the ephod of the priest, The entire 3rd row is missing Just as the darkness between the 6th and 9th hour of his crucifixion And Christ is our third day and resurrection, the gentiles through Cornelius also received revelation to receive the holy Spirit in the 9th hour But perhaps in the third quarter it an be said Israel was darkened or was blinded to the resurrection in Christ .... The reference to the cherub being on the mount also perhaps signifying him having power of law and power of sin, and him also being in the garden as him having power in death When we see 3×3 in this case it is perhaps as a parable of still trusting in only man and the powers in the law, In the Hebrew alphabet 9 is the thet, an ancient symbol of a coiled snake in an earthen jar And perhaps a symbol of the seed of the serpent in a man Thet is also said to be a symbol of good and evil And that is the fruit of which the serpent Seduced the woman And the woman or parabollic rib spread it over also the heart of man This fruit of knowledge brought death without the fruit of the tree of Life pruducing or choosing the good or the fruit of the Spirit There are also 9 fruits listed in the Spirit that come forth into a kingdom of the spiritual man we were intended to be ... For A little lower than the angels was man made He can be seen in the 6 being made of on the 6th day, And it appears the 6 became divided into two portions or perhaps parabollically 3 and 3 into both man and woman, that they would unite in weakness in order to multiply fruit of from both bridegroom and bride But Fruit without the true bridegroom or tree of life reverts back to carnal 9.. and the serpent..as in 9 months after conception.. the birth of those born of flesh and death ... it appears The serpent or adversary had coveted the kingship of God aswell, symbollized in the union in 12 Bridegroom with Bride in his strength Perhaps to be as king over man all that was needed in addition the 9 of the cherub or serpent was but half the man or man divided, his weakness the woman alone And so finding advantage a breach in the man and woman’s separation He seduced the woman And by this establishing a counterfeit earthly kingdom in his image It is said now that he is indeed the ruler of this world …. of the cherub it is said he sealed up the sum, perfect in beauty and full of wisdom And his own beauty became his fall Multiples of 9 when added always revert back 9 And no number can be divided by 9 without having 9 as it’s root Parabollically it glorifies itself It also can be as a 0 or an empty number Or pehaps a symbol of he who was , is not and yet is Because if you add any number to 9 the sum will equal that original number..the 9 disappears. and the woman being divided from her husband(which is in truth symbolized in Christ) beheld the beauty of his fruit And desired it And mankind became utterly divided it is said If thine eye be evil(or divided) how great is that darkness ... The number of the beast Is as The seeming result of this The divided man or 3 magnified of itself A parable also of Magnified man in this beastial state through this spiritual fornication without the Bridegroom, the tree of life The number of the beast is said to be the number of a man It is 3 6s Parabollically 3×6 equals 18 and 1+8 reverts back again to 9 Also If you were to add 3+6 you revert back again to 9 So in this parable of carnal 9 we see those glorifying him in union both in mind and strength, and it is hidden within them when they glorify man or themelves in this state of death ... But Christ our true bridegroom overturned it, he came as a Son of man crucified in the third hour, 3 hours as a symbol of man in his weakness or divided , taking on sin between the 6th and the 9th, the symbol of flesh in the 6 and the serpent inThe 9 And Resurrected on the third day as Son of God, a symbol of man glorified in the day of Christ It is also As The eighth day circumcision and resurrection And as a parable we now see the third living creature which has the face of a man In the heaven as a reflection of our inhertance in in heavenly places through Christ ... And now adding Israel’s 3rd day to his 4th year is as a symbol of finally enterring the 7 or the rest of God, The earnest of which is the Spirit And here we also see the fourth living creature is an flying eagle, just as the woman was given eagles wings And thus man is perfected and is given the kingdom through God come in the flesh destroying the power of death behind it No eye has seen what God has planned for those who live him And thus says the preacher..the End is of a thing is better than the beginning . And when we see 3×4 Or the fulfilment of Israel in the 4th year we also see the 12 tribes and the new jerusalem We see the 12 stones in the ephod of the high priest And 12 apostles of Christ and in a parable he comes at last at midnight, But daylight is also fulfilled in 12 hours, for we are not children of the night but of the day .And then there are 2 trees with 12 manner of fruit entering the 24 or day with no night and no end .... Also it was in the 4th watch that Jesus walked upon the sea Christ lifting Peter or the rock or a sign of Zion up and they both entering the boat together a seeming symbol of when israel finally recognizes Jesus as only begotten Son of God and enters with him through his cross, Then they reach the land of Gennesaret which may be interpreted as princely garden or the paradise of galilee A symbol of Christ the tree of life And the people there are made whole by touching the Hem of his garment a symbol of eating his fruit or resurrection in the Spirit .
  3. JOY! Because of the Victor! Expressed jubilantly by Keith Green... The resurrection victory of our Lord Jesus Christ
  4. Most of us are believers in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, aren't we? Do we need proof of his resurrection, the core of our Christian faith? We hope not but it sure couldn't hurt to have our faith confirmed by facts so now and then. Real proof of the essence of our faith is problematic, so I tend to be happy with strong indications that we are right with what constitutes the core of our living. Call it weakness of my faith if you like. But I'm sure I don't alone in this. We look at the good in people and the beauty in nature. But sometimes there is something stronger... I am reading the works of the late Pinchas Lapide, a Jewish theologist and diplomat who was a follower of Jesus Christ. He focused on Jesus' Jewish roots and tries to bridge the gap between Christianity and the Jewish tradition. The first book I read is The Resurrection of Jesus: A Jewish Perspective. After an analysis of raising from the dead in Jewish tradition Lapide turns to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He describes the fears of Jesus' followers after his earthly death. Their master had undergone the extremely cruel fate of Jewish rebels. And they were afraid to undergo the same fate. Therefore they fled and went into hiding. Lapide asks how it is possible that these simple frightened and disappointed would-be followers formed the basis of a world religion against all odds and threats. "The apostles' answer is short and simple: Jesus' resurrection from the dead." Alleluia, Lord!

  6. Parousia παρουσία Strong's 3952 The Greek word parousia ( παρουσία ) is a word translated in our English Bibles to the words coming, arrival, or presence. The word is common in eschatological contexts, and occurs 24 times. Below you can see how and where the word is used. It derives from para (alongside) and eimi (I am), thus it is a coming to be alongside. It is notable, that this is a noun, 3952 parousía (from parōn, "be present or to arrive to enter into a situation") – properly, coming, especially arrival by an owner, who alone can deal with a situation (cf. LS). 3952 (parousia) is a "technical term with reference to the visit of a king or some other official, 'a royal visit'" (Souter) – "hence, in the NT, specifically of the Advent or Parousia of Christ" (A-S). [3952 (parousia) is "used in the east as a technical expression for the royal visit of a king, or emperor. The word means literally 'the being beside,' thus, 'the personal presence'" (K. Wuest, 3, Bypaths, 33).] Address Text Form Matt 24:3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” παρουσίας Noun - Genitive Feminine Singular Matt 24:27 “For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. παρουσία Noun - Nominative Feminine Singular Matt 24:37 “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. παρουσία Noun - Nominative Feminine Singular Matt 24:39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. παρουσία Noun - Nominative Feminine Singular Matt 24:42 “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming*. erchomai 1 Cor 15:23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, παρουσία Noun - Dative Feminine Singular 1 Cor 16:17 I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part. παρουσία Noun - Dative Feminine Singular 2 Cor 7:6 But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus; παρουσία Noun - Dative Feminine Singular 2 Cor 7:7 and not only by his coming, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, as he reported to us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced even more. παρουσία Noun - Dative Feminine Singular 2 Cor 10:10 For they say, “His letters are weighty and strong, but his personal presence is unimpressive and his speech contemptible.” παρουσία Noun - Nominative Feminine Singular Phil 1:26 so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again. παρουσίας Noun - Genitive Feminine Singular Phil 2:12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; παρουσία Noun - Dative Feminine Singular 1 Thess 2:19 For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? 7. Luke 24:1-3 - "Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus." Observation: TRULY, ITS TIME FOR ME TO STOP LOOKING FOR THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD. IT'S TIME FOR ME TO STOP WANDERING AROUND IN THE CEMETERY OF SIN, SICKNESS, AND FAILURE AND TO STEP INTO RESURRECTION LIFE! AS A RESURRECTED CREATURE, I AM NO ACCIDENT GOING SOMEWHERE TO HAPPEN. MY LIFE ISN'T JUST A LOOSE WEB OF EVENTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES. GOD HAS SPECIFIC PLANS FOR ME. Romans 1:17 - "For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, But he who is put right with God shall live by faith." "From faith to faith" means we are to begin and finish in faith. We are to start in faith and stand in faith until that which we are believing for arrives. We go from "faith to faith" not faith to feelings. Faith is a seed. When we are dealing in faith, there is a timing for the manifestation. It takes time sometimes for our faith to pull things into the natural realm. That's why the bible says it's "from faith to faith." We have to stay in faith even when we don't see any changes. In our faith, we have to get above seeing or feeling something. Observation: FAITH PLEASES GOD BECAUSE IT MAKES A WAY FOR HIM TO WORK IN MY LIFE. IT CONNECTS ME TO HIS SUPERNATURAL ANOINTING. LIKE ABRAHAM I STAGGER NOT AT THE PROMISE OF GOD THROUGH UNBELIEF; BUT AM STRONG IN FAITH GIVING GLORY TO GOD! Song of Solomon 3:3 - "The watchmen that patrol the city found me and I asked, 'Have you seen my beloved?"' THE WATCHMEN, WHO GOD HAS SET ON THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM, FIND YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS LOOKING OUT FOR HIS CITY. YOU ASK THEM FOR NEWS OF YOUR BELOVED (JESUS), BUT THEY CANNOT TELL YOU WHERE HE IS. YOU SEARCH FOR YOUR BELOVED, BUT NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHERE HE IS BUT HE HIMSELF. Isaiah 62:6,12 - "I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night; you who are His servants that put the Lord in remembrance of His promises, keep not silence. And they shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRYhttp://afministry.ning.com

  10. Ephesians 3:20 - "To Him who is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think, by means of the power working in us." Often, when our plans for a promise (given to us in scripture) don't come to pass, we think the promise has failed, too. Not so! We are merely being set up by God to see Him in even greater measure. God tells us to expect Him to move in big ways, but He also reminds us not to expect "how" it will look. We often feel we know how God should do something, or when He should do it. BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX OF OLD THINKING He wants to break us out of the boxes of what we think we know about Him and remind us that He is an awesome and infinitely faceted God. Because deep down, He knows the true cry of our heart is not simply for His promises to come forth, but that we might KNOW Him in an even greater way as promises come forth! He loves to surprise us! He loves to reveal His promises in ways that reveal a greater measure of who He is to us. if we stay in faith, continue in prayer, and praise and honor God, knowing that "His ways are higher than our ways," our DREAMS and DESTINIES will come forth! And they will come forth in ways that will show us new aspects of our incredible God that will have us praising Him and loving Him as never before! OUR TIMING OR GOD'S TIMING In John 11, we hear the story of Lazarus and his resurrection. Lazarus and his sisters Martha and Mary are dear friends of Jesus. God wants us to expect Him to move. He rewards that faith. But often His ways or His timing, at first, don't make sense to our way of thinking! Jesus loved Martha and Mary so much, that He did not respond to their prayer the way they thought He would, nor at the time which made sense to them. Jesus' intention was to bring them into a greater revelation of how and who He was. Martha and Mary knew Jesus was the answer to their problem. They knew He could help. They knew He was the promise. But because He didn't move in the way "they thought" He should and when He should, they were confused and they were hurt. Jesus stands before the tomb, the place of death, knowing that the only thing that has truly passed away is how Martha and Mary used to see Him. The promise wasn't dead. He was excited because He knew that Martha and Mary were about to find out that He was an even bigger, better, and more faithful God than they had ever imagined! Jesus turns to Mary and says, "Did I not say that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?" (John 11:40). Jesus then declares that He knows God always hears our prayers (John 11:41), and then being confident in this, He cries out, "Lazarus, come forth!" (John 11:43). And Lazarus came forth, revealing a greater measure of who Jesus was, and a fuller realization of all things being possible. LOOKING PAST WHAT DIDN'T HAPPEN Don't look back on what DIDN'T happen the way you thought it would. Look toward Jesus and praise Him that His ways are higher than our ways. Pour your heart out to Him. BELIEVE AND HAVE FAITH IN HIS WORD -- that He hears every one of our prayers, and that if we simply stand in that belief, we will see the glory of God. And that just like Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, we will not only see the promise come forth, we will see a greater revelation of Jesus! So we stand in faith, refusing any discouragement. We believe God to show up in surprising ways that reveal more of who He is to us than we have ever known before. We are excited that God is doing it "His perfect way," and that He is doing exceedingly and abundantly beyond all that you could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May those things that you felt died be resurrected in even bigger and better ways to the glory of God. MAY YOU DECLARE: "Dreams and Destiny come forth!" 11. "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."- Matthew 5:13 We as Spirit-filled Believers are citizens of Heaven and as the world grows darker, our light shines brighter. We are called to be the salt of the earth. In these times, it is essential that the Bride does not compromise the truth of the Gospel. Jesus died for our freedom (Galatians 5:1) and His death was not in vain. When we compromise the Word of God by sympathizing with ungodliness and coming into agreement with a lie, people are held in captivity. It is the truth that sets people free (John 8:32) and who the Son sets free is truly free (John 8:36). "And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." - Hebrews 10:10 God is awakening His children to righteousness. Some of the Church has been living under a doctrine that we, as Spirit-filled Believers, are "still sinners" saved by grace. This lie keeps us in a state of helplessness and powerlessness to sin. The truth is the moment that we are born again, we become the righteousness of Christ, empowered by grace, to fulfill our God-given destiny. "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." - 2 Corinthians 5:21 This is the revelation that God is awakening the worldto. Our identity is found in Christ alone and we are of holiness and purity. Anything other than this is a lie that leaves room for our identity to be compromised by sin. This foundation of truth will radically liberate the Body and is the substance that will sustain the harvest. Proverbs 1:7 - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction". Observation: TO FEAR GOD IS TO LOVE HIM ABOVE ALL ELSE! IT IS THE WILLINGNESS TO OBEY GOD EVEN WHEN IT APPEARS MORE ADVANTAGEOUS FOR ME TO COMPROMISE OR NOT OBEY HIS WORD. Psalm 85:9 - "Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land." Matthew 14:28,29 - "And Peter answered Him and said, 'Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water'. And He said 'Come.' And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. Sometimes in our ownminds we justify waiting in the boat, not realizing it is just our natural mind wanting to know every detail. Thinking to ourselves, "Well, maybe I ought to just sit in the boat a little bit longer – after all, we want to have wisdom." Do you think Peter did that? No. He got out of the boat of his comfort zone before his natural feelings could jump in to dictate the next step. Observation: BREAKING THE POWER OF NATURAL LAW IN MY LIFE HAPPENS WHEN THE WORD OF GOD UNITES WITH MY MEASURE OF FAITH. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. Revelation 21:5, 6 - "Behold, I make all things new.....It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely." The cry from the One who sits on the throne in Revelation 21:5 is about making all things new. It doesn't say He is making "all new things," rather He is "making all things new." The Kingdom message is beginning to prevail in greater ways, because the Kingdom is all about RELATIONSHIP, not about gold streets and mansions. It is about a prepared place with Christ before the Father, even in the present moment. Evangelism is not just the work of a committee at an institutional church. Evangelism is becoming the by-product of a called-out company of the renewed saints who will return to being a "witness" of the Light in the presence of the darkness. A RISK-TAKING COMPANY There is a deeper work of the Spirit that will be an earmark in the coming days. There is a "making new" of the Lord's wineskin, His elect, His "called out company," who, as their Savior did, look out over the fields that are white unto harvest. and see them as distressed and downcast, as sheep without a shepherd. And, like their Master, this renewed company will bemoved with compassion and bring a new level of healing and wholeness to those who cry out for answers, for peace, for hope, and for deliverance! It will take a courageous, risk-taking company of the people that know their God to boldly go out to where the sinners are and speak to them of the One who is already working at some level in their lives, in order to bring them to the knowledge of the truth and the light of the glory of God in the face of the Son of God. RISING OUT OF DEAD THINGS Resurrection is becoming more than a doctrine, it is becoming a way of life. As the consumer-driven culture is losing hope in "things" and asking if there is not more to life than this, a renewed company of the elect are going to be RISING OUT OF DEAD THINGS and pressing to the mark of the prize of their high calling (their DESTINY). 13. John 15:7 - "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." OBSERVATION: The degree to which I will abide in Him will be determined by the degree to which I behold the power of His resurrection -- the power, glory, and authority that He has NOW. Philippians 3:10,11 - "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead." Since the completion of the Cross of Calvary and the "Resurrection Authority with Christ" ultimately triumphing over the enemy and seated at the right hand of God, we now have abundant life forever. We are not given resurrection authority to simply miss Hell and go to Heaven. We have this power dwelling in us to appropriate raising the meaningless, dead existence of the lost into the everlasting vibrant eternal life now on earth as it is in Heaven. Galatians 6:7,9 - "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." OBSERVATION: I know that the only thing I'm going to take to heaven is what I give away. "Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart." - Psalm 37:4 Each one of us has an assignment and we are all here for a PURPOSE that is bigger than what we see. Let go of negative people who don't believe in you or your purpose; they are not your audience or your partners in this next phase of your journey. All of the tests, difficulties and unexpected things of life will be used as a chisel in God's hand to shape us for what is coming. The strengthin iron is in the fire, refined seven times until there is nothing left in it that would compromise its ability to support strong structures. He places His desires for your created PURPOSE within your heart and then creates life to fulfill them. When our hearts are surrendered to His plan and purpose, we start to desire things we didn't think of before. Then, we can ask what we will and it will be done for us. The Holy Spirit’s desire is that we live every day in the fullness of the Lord, by seeing above and beyond what we can do, and that Jesus would receive glory and honor through His great power that works in us and through us. 14. "There were many bones in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And the Lord said unto me, 'prophesy upon these bones and say unto them, Behold I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.'" - Ezekiel 37: 2,4,5 Look at those things over which you have lost your vision. Ask Him to bring resurrection life back into those dead places and renew your vision for your own CALLING IN CHRIST. We are invited to receive the Spirit, live in the Spirit, embrace the gifts of the Spirit, and be sustained and blown along by the very breath of God to advance our DESTINY in the Spirit. We cannot be in and out, this way and that way if we're going to move and operate and ascend into the incredible levels that God wants to release in us. How will your life change as you become more extreme with your faith? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  15. You say that Christ freed us from sin and yet at the same time you say that we cannot become sin free beings, and are doomed to be sinful the rest of our lives. Can you explain Biblically what this means?
  16. How much time do you spend in God's Word compared to taking in other perspectives from television, movies, books, magazines, and the Internet? How will your life change as you become more extreme with your faith? Can you visualize how your relationship with the Father is changing? As we lay down our own plans and yield completely to Him day by day, the Scriptures promise that we will receive power from on high to be witnesses "to the end of the earth." God wants to resurrect things that have died in you. You may think that your window of occasion is past the time that anything good can happen, but remember we serve the God of the resurrection. 20. What is "the first resurrection"? Is it when the "dead in Christ rise first"? Is it the resurrection of the "blessed and holy"? the saints? All of them? or just some of them? What is your view? It appears to me that the "dead in Christ rise first" because they are in the "first resurrection" and over these the 2nd death has no power at all. Almost all Christian groups agree that Revelation 19 describes the 2nd coming - and that there were no chapter divisions in the Greek text of Revelation as written by John. Revelation 20 starts off then in the context of Revaltion 19 - at the 2nd coming. (Sorry -- I still don't know how to change the text format to get rid of the double spacing in the Bible quote below) Revelation 20 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Those included in the "first resurrection" a. Those who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God b. And those which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands So certainly in the case above - the "First resurrection" includes the saints - possibly "all of the saints" in all of time depending on how far back one finds the "beast" to have had influence and to have persecuted the saints -- since it appears that the second death has power over all who are raised 1000 years later in the second resurrection Here is what Paul says about it... the saints do rise first. 1 Thess 4 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. Your thoughts? in Christ, Bob
  21. 2 Timothy 2:8 - 'Don't ever forget the wonderful fact that Jesus Christ was a Man, born into King David's family; and that He was God, as shown by the fact that he rose again from the dead.' You may be barren now. Some seasons that we go through are seemingly filled with desolation, but take comfort in knowing that every season has a time frame and a devine seed. God is alerting us to raise our expectancy. Our expectancy will become our spiritual currency to allow transactions with heaven. Affirmations: I REMEMBER THAT WHEN JESUS AROSE, I AROSE. WHEN HE CAME OUT OF HELL AND DEFEATED THE ENEMY, I CAME OUT OF HELL AND DEFEATED THE ENEMY. HIS VICTORY IS MY VICTORY BECAUSE I AM IN HIM. Colossians 2:15 - "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." Romans 4:21 - "And being fully persuaded, that what He had promised, He was able also to perform." RELIGIOUS FLESH IS OCCUPIED WITH PRETENDING TO BE (OR LOOK) GOOD. THE SOUL THAT IS LED BY THE SPIRIT HAS ITS FOCUS UPON THE GREATNESS OF GOD, BELIEVING THAT WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED, HE IS ABLE ALSO TO PERFORM. Song of Solomon 1:5 - 'I am black, but lovely, daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.' THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE OF THE GRACE OF GOD WOULD NOT COME FROM HIM IF IT DID NOT GIVE YOU A CLEAR VIEW OF YOUR MISERABLE STATE APART FROM HIM. AS YOU COME OUT OF THE CHAMBERS OF YOUR KING (JESUS) YOU DISCOVER THAT YOU ARE BLACK. WHAT MAKES YOU BLACK? SUDDENLY YOU SEE ALL YOUR FAULTS BY THE LIGHT OF GOD. NOW YOU SEE THAT YOU HAVE NOT BEEN CLEANSED FROM YOURSELF. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  22. Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Worldly hope is just a kind of wish. Whenever we see hope in the bible, it means there is an expectation. According to Mark 11:24, when we pray, we should believe we receive. We should expect -- not just desire -- that those things come to pass. You can have a truckload of desire and no expectation. Whatever you expect, you have faith to receive. And just as you are the one who's going to believe you receive, you are the one who's going to set your expectation level. Affirmations: ONCE I HAVE IDENTIFIED THOSE THINGS I REALLY DESIRE - THEN I EXPECT BIG - I LET MY HOPE SOAR! I SHALL HAVE THEM BECAUSE I BELIEVE (BASED ON GOD'S WORD) THAT I RECEIVE THEM. John 20:14-16 - She glanced over her shoulder and saw someone standing behind her. It was Jesus, but she didn't recognize him! "Why are you crying?" he asked her. "Whom are you looking for?" She thought He was the gardener. "Sir," she said, "if you have taken Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will go and get Him." "Mary!" Jesus said. She turned toward Him. "Master!" she exclaimed. MARY LOOKED AT THE WORD. MARY HEARD THE WORD. BUT SHE DIDN'T KNOW THE WORD. MARY DIDN'T KNOW WHO IT WAS WHO STOOD BEFORE HER. BUT WHEN THE WORD BECAME PERSONAL TO HER, CALLING HER BY NAME, INSTANTLY, SHE RECOGNIZED HIM. Observation: AS I READ, STUDY, AND MEDITATE ON IT, THE WORD WILL SPEAK TO ME AND BECOME PERSONAL TO ME. Galatians 2:20, -- "I have been crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, the life I live, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me." Although the Scriptures said that no one has ever seen God, however Jesus said, "Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). Hebrews 1:3talks about the Son being the brightness of God's glory and the express image of His person. Colossians 2:9 talks about the fullness of deity living in Jesus in bodily form. If Jesus is the express image of the Father, then we must become the express image of the Son as He lives in us. There is no higher calling or aspiration than to walk in manifest oneness with Jesus as we live lives surrendered to Him. The beauty of His person, His love, humility, glory, and power is what the world longs to see and experience. What an honor that Heaven has bestowed on us to become one with the Master...this is a holy invitation that we must all do and heed! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  23. Psalm 40 ascribes the Psalm to David and describes the Lord hearing his cry for salvation and bringing him out of a pit. Below is the JPT translation with Hebrew: 1. For the conductor, of David a song. אלַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר: 2. I have greatly hoped for the Lord, and He extended [His ear] to me and heard my cry. בקַוֹּה קִוִּיתִי יְהֹוָה וַיֵּט אֵלַי וַיִּשְׁמַע שַׁוְעָתִי: 3. And He drew me up out of the roaring pit, from the thick mire, and He set my feet upon a rock, He established my steps. גוַיַּעֲלֵנִי | מִבּוֹר שָׁאוֹן מִטִּיט הַיָּוֵן וַיָּקֶם עַל סֶלַע רַגְלָי כּוֹנֵן אֲשֻׁרָי: 4. He put a new song into my mouth, a praise to our God, so that many may see and fear, and trust in the Lord. I. By ascribing the Psalm to David, the Psalm makes itself implicitly Messianic. It suggests that David, whom the Tanakh calls the "Sweet Singer of Israel", wrote the Psalm, sang it, or that it otherwise belonged to him directly. The Psalm becomes Messianic in the eyes of the Tanakh's audience, because the Tanakh repeatedly refers to the Messiah allegorically as "David". (eg. Isaiah 55, Ezekiel 34 and 37, and also in the books of Jeremiah and Hosea). The Psalm is also Messianic due to verse 4, where it says that his new song brings "many" to trust in the Lord. The "many" or "multidudes" in the Tanakh is commonly a reference to the "many nations" (eg. in Isaiah 52-53). Turning the many nations to the Lord is a duty of the Messiah (eg. in Is. 11). II. The Psalm's reference to the Lord bringing him out of the roaring pit and mire and onto a rock is a reference to resurrection. This is because the "pit" in the Psalms refers to the state of physical death. By saying that the Lord drew him out of the pit, it means that David was in that pit of the state of death and then that the Lord drew him out of it. One scholar notes how "the Pit" was a reference to the state of death: L. Bronner says something similar about the concept of the pit in Psalm 16: III. Verse 7 is interesting, because it says the Lord gouged ("Karah") ears for him. Here is the JPT: You dug (karah) ears for me אָזְנַיִם כָּרִיתָ לִּי עוֹלָה This is relevant because earlier in Psalm 22, in some text variants, it says that the narrator's enemies gouged (Hebrew: karu; Greek LXX: oruksan) his hands. Verse 7 about the gouging of the ears shows that David is able to use gouging (karah) as a verb metaphorically describing gouging performed on one's body. The gouging of the ears therefore in Psalm 40:7 opens up the possibility that David is using a similar expression of gouging the hands in Psalm 22. Psalm 40 itself has major elements in common with Psalm 22. They both describe the narrator as being "encompassed" by evil, hunted by enemies, being in a state of death (Psalm 22 has it "the dust of death"; Psalm 40 has "a roaring Pit" and "thick mire"), as crying for help, as the Lord saving him, then the narrator praising the Lord to the assembly, and the righteous praising the Lord: 10. I brought tidings of righteousness in a great assembly. Behold, I will not withhold my lips, O Lord, You know. יבִּשַּׂרְתִּי צֶדֶק | בְּקָהָל רָב הִנֵּה שְׂפָתַי לֹא אֶכְלָא יְהֹוָה אַתָּה יָדָעְתָּ: 11. I did not conceal Your charity within my heart; I stated Your faith and Your salvation-I did not withhold Your kindness and truth-to a great assembly. 13. For countless evils have encompassed me יגכִּי אָפְפוּ עָלַי 15. May those who seek my soul to destroy it be shamed and embarrassed together; may those who seek to harm me retreat and be humiliated. 16. May they be bewildered afterwards because of their shame, those who say about me, "Aha! Aha!" טזיָשֹׁמּוּ עַל עֵקֶב בָּשְׁתָּם הָאֹמְרִים לִי הֶאָח | הֶאָח: 17. All who seek You shall exult and rejoice; those who love Your salvation shall constantly say, "May the Lord be magnified." IV. One of the controversies about seeing this Psalm as Messianic however, is that in the course of the Psalm, it talks about the narrator's "iniquities". One possible explanation is that these iniquities are those that the Messiah is bearing on behalf of others, as the Messiah is described as doing in Isaiah 53. 24. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." OBSERVATION: Sometimes I have to speak the Word to myself until I believe it -- then I can use that word to speak to my situation. The abiding word produces the spirit of faith within me; so I spend time with God and permit that word to abide in me. I confess that word and meditate in that word and abide in Jesus. Then the spirit of faith is produced in me. Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God." Romans 6:4,5 - "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection." The cross of Golgotha utterly crucified us. Our natural being no longer has a place in God's thoughts. The death of Jesus on the cross put an irrevocable end to what we are by nature and what we could ever be. What we are in Christ has nothing more to do with what we were before we were crucified. InChrist we find ourselves in the province of resurrection, and resurrection is only possible if there is first a death. In the resurrection there is only one reality -- Christ all and in all! l Corinthians 3:18,19 - "Make no mistake about it: if any one of you thinks of himself as wise, in the ordinary sense of the word, then he must learn to be a fool before he really can be wise. Why? Because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God....God is not convinced by the arguments of the wise." On our own we cannot comprehend how to grow and live in oneness with God. Live every day in the knowledge that every bit of spiritual insight is a pure gift from God. The only way to receive wisdom from God is to come before Him (SUBMITTING YOUR SPIRIT TO HIM), pushing away every bit of understanding you think you have gained, and each day, offer yourself as a servant who is willing to do the lowest job. As long as you allow the spirit of "superior knowledge" to secretly overtake you -- that is, to be master of you of your own soul -- you will be as powerless in spirit as a slave -- always subject to your lower nature. 25. Ecclesiastes 3:11 - "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds (a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy), yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end." WE LIVE IN TIME AND SPACE, BUT TIME AND SPACE ARE CONNECTED TO ETERNITY, AND GOD HAS PUT SOMETHING INTO YOUR HEART THAT CALLS THE UNSEEN INTO THE SEEN --THE VISION GOD HAS PUT IN YOUR HEART TO DELIVER IN TIME AND SPACE --THAT IS, ON THE EARTH DURING YOUR LIFETIME SO THAT OTHERS ON EARTH WILL BE ABLE TO SEE A PIECE OF ETERNITY THAT IS IN HIM. John 11:44 - "And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said unto them, 'Loose him, and let him go."' IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD WHO WITNESS SPIRITUAL RESURRECTION TO LOOSE THOSE WHO GET SAVED BY THE POWER OF GOD SO THAT THEY CAN GO. GOD WANTS US TO FLY LIKE EAGLES BUT WE CAN'T DO IT IF WE'RE STILL BOUND BY THE GRAVE CLOTHES OF OUR OLD LIFE. Proverbs 4:23 - "Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life." OBSERVATION: If God truly rules in my heart, if Jesus is Lord of my life and I do what He says, then the Kingdom of God (His dominion, presence, power, glory, love, and anointing) will continually flow out of me and take authority over the things coming against me. What, then, is our responsibility during times of difficulty? Our job is not to muster up the victory ourselves but to believe and declare God's goodness (through affirming and meditating on His word that applies to your problem) and then wait with expectancy to see how He intervenes. AFFIRMATIONS: I live with expectation, I pray with expectation, I listen with expectation -- I hear HIS VOICE. I take time to listen to the Lord to hear strategies for myself, my family, and the needs of the Kingdom. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
