  1. I hope you decide to keep your baby as it seems you are right now. That is my opinion. Love is what matters most. It is good to have support too from people at your church. God's arm is not too short to help you. Keep following the Lord and he will bless you not meaning their may not be tight times but God will provide for your needs. The father may have rights too so lot's to consider.
  2. The Baptism of Jesus 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” 15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. 16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
  3. Psalm 110 King James Version (KJV) 110 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
  4. Have not read this whole thread but this is not true. Jesus said in the great commission " Go ye into all nations and baptized them in the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit". IN THE NAME OF.. The Great Commission 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
  5. And to the one who does not work but believes in[a] him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
  6. Ome, Here are some verses from Romans I read today and thought this applies to the Eternal Security Column. Romans 4 English Standard Version (ESV) Abraham Justified by Faith 4 What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5 And to the one who does not work but believes in[a] him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”
  7. I am praying about it.. I remembered later that it was said it would be really different or something to that effect. The leaders are Godly and not questioning that in anyway but not sure why more people were involved. Maybe because the church is small 80 people I think. Thanks for your input everyone.
  8. Sunday at church we were in for a surprise the front of the church was painted black and it was painted forward into the church area about 1/5 of the side walls. I had heard some painting would be done but never expected the color black. I understand that this maybe partially for the projection of lyrics although we had, I forget the name, something there before to show the lyrics. I know it's not an issue for fighting but I still felt very strange to me to see all that black in the church. It was not told to us at the last church meeting that it would be black. What do you think?
  9. John 14 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—“ Would like to point out that word FOREVER. Your thoughts?
  10. I have been though a 7.1 but as it was not that close .. was not too bad but very scary... some people died but not near me.
  11. This may not be the case but let me add that struggling against sin is different than struggling with faith.
  12. Hi Darrell. Sorry to hear you are struggling in your faith. None are worthy but if you believe that Jesus is God and he left heaven and he came to earth and lived here and did not sin and that he died on the cross as our substitute (for all that believe) and that he rose again on third day and later left to go back to heaven and One must also accept God's forgiveness and repent of your sin. It has to be heart knowledge too not just head knowledge. It is not just feelings too though. Our faith is grounded in Jesus and what he says believing him. Not just knowing the facts. We are worthy meaning we have worth to God so much Jesus died for us! Be obedient and follow Jesus after this and if you have not get baptized as he commanded read your bible and pray to the Lord. Does this help?
  13. It's true that we don't know why they wear it unless they show it by their words or actions. After all Madonna was wearing one and singing and dressing very ungodly. But my sense of this is that he is a believer especially that he wears it in this place with the kind of men that are bowling along side him (not meaning his family when I say this). They will also know us by our love ... sorry did not read everyone's comments but added my two cents anyway John 13:35 New International Version (NIV) 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
  14. I have been bowling on a league (but not right now though) anyway there is a man there who bowls with his sister, and brother and father (father is 85?) anyway I rarely see a man where a cross where I live in my area. I said something to him like "I like your cross" but he did not say much (he is very quiet type). I may have said more I don't remember but it impressed me that he wore it as it is a statement!
  15. yikes! I just prayed and offered some advice in the prayer area to Naomi Nash. I know it's a prayer thread but sometimes people do ask for help or are led by the spirit to say something or offer a verse and is not meant to offend but sometimes we do offend unintentionally.
  16. Thank you all for commenting on this if you think of anything else please do add as it is most interesting to know more about our Lord. Turtletwo mentioned God's gentleness that is a good one too and they all are marvelous! A friend of mine said judgements. God also is a God of wrath I guess that's what my friend meant by judgements.. but as God is righteous and perfect judge we can trust he makes the right decision.
  17. It is interesting that you mention God's order. I had made a list myself previous to my posting here but this was NOT on it. In the early morning I was up 4 am or so and I was thinking of God and how he is a God of order. Much love in Christ to all too!
