  1. I agree we have a choice in sinning, however I suggest the flesh is weak and we ALL will fall short of the spirit at times.
  2. I have always questions thoughts on the rapture. I ponder on Jesus words at Luke17:20,21 when asked about his coming. He stated it would not be with striking observableness. Now if a group of Christians are caught up in the air surely that would be striking.
  3. Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. even Ephesians 4:26-27 give the same thought in encourging christians not to such things because that is what we are prone to do. "let sun not go down upon your wrath" indicating we had wrath.
  4. I think with understanding Parables we first have to realize what a parable is - its not real life it like an illustration to convey deeper truths.
  5. Agree most of what Jesus shared with those of his time, applied to them and beyond.
  6. I beg to differ. I believe we sin before we are aware. We think bad thoughts. We judge others. We lose our temper and the list goes on and on. It don't have to be a "large sin" we sin in very small ways. Jesus said LUKE 16:10 "unrighteous in what is least." That's why Apostle Paul felt so miserable. Paul had Holy Spirit yet sinned!
  7. We are sinful by nature and thats why we have to pray daily not to sin, but yet we still sin. Its like Paul at Romans 7:21-25
  8. I always found it interesting that Abraham was probably not initially a worshiper of God, his father worshiped idols.
  9. I'm thinking with God in scripture after Christ Israel is NOT fleshly Israel anymore, its Spiritual Israel anyone that walk by Christ rule of conduct - Galatians 6:16
  10. Daniel 2:44 states God's Kingdom will crush ALL other kingdoms and last forever. Now Matthew 6:9 states we should pray for God's Kingdom to come. Is this the same Kingdom?
  11. The Abrahamic Covenant include all that was mentioned. It included "his Seed" that would mean Issacs, Jacob and ultimate as Galatian stated Christ.- Galatian 3:16
  12. To know God is to be obedient. knowledge in the bible is to "do" OBEDIENCE!!
  13. We must remember Revelation is written in signs and symbols. Therefore everything is not literal
  14. I fail to see the confusion with the Abrahamic Covenant that must still be in effect. That covenant is to have ALL mankind be blessed. Mankind has still, yet to be blessed.
  15. Fellowship in Christian context is with with fellow belivers -Hebrews 10:23-25
  16. Agree partly, Christians are not bound by the Law of Moses. However we can follow the principles of the Law. As long as we remain sinful we will continue to miss the mark of perfection.
  17. Therefore if the scriptures are for ALL people is not just applicable for the Jews.
  18. I'm not sure if Jesus would celebrate such Holidays that have their roots in paganism. Think what we eat or drink in moderation is different from celebrating Holidays with roots in paganism. Jesus condemned those of his time for unscriptural practices.
  19. Its really not what we think, Its how Jesus feels about what Christians do or don't do since Christians suppose to be followers of Christ. WWJD would Jesus celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas?
  20. As imperfect humans there is a tendency to look down on others for whatever reason. However we need to pray that God help us to cultivate the same outlook for others especially they poor because in reality as the scrip states they will always be around. Also when we extend to the poor God views it as lending to him.
  21. 2 Timothy 3:16 states - ALL scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for ALL, therefore that would include the book of Hebrews.
  22. Where did Thanksgiving originate? Surely not with Columbus! Should Christians Celebrate it?
  23. Agree, The bible book of Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians living in Judea. Which is after the death of Christ. Also must disagree that one can't lose salvation. Salvation is an end result - Matthew 24:13
  24. Luke 5:36-39 - Jesus meant that Christians don't have to conform to Judaism.
