  1. Thanks be to God for Our Lord Jesus Christ, THE PERFECT SACRIFICE..
  2. Hello Michael, would like to put down a few things on the question you dropped above, and maybe when Blood Bought comes on, he will drop his own view aswell. You see, the word sin is quite sensitive, so we have to handle it carefully as people that have been saved by the Blood of Jesus. For clarity sake, I'll love to take your questions in sequence just as you dropped them above. 1. Sins that beset the saved could be any kinda sinful lifestyle or even habits that the saved was into before accepting Jesus Christ. You see, Man is tripartite (Spirit, Soul and Body). At the point of Accepting Jesus, you get only a new Spirit (A new life in Christ), sins washed away and also, the Original SIN we inherited from Adam is washed away. The Soul (Mind, will, emotions) Doesn't change immediately, it takes a while for it to be gradually transformed and conformed to that of Jesus Christ through Delibrate consumption of the pure word of God and great willingness to put away the activities of the old man (the sinful lifestyle before we got saved knowing we have a new Lord, Jesus Christ). You may wanna read Colossians 3:1-10 for more clarity. 2. Their Causes. As I stated above, we do not get a Brand new soul or body at salvation, only a new spirit, so the soul we have always had (Mind, will, emotion) will still be at work as it was before we got saved, so a saved person would still wanna do those things he/she was doing before he/she got saved, that sinful appetite will not change, it can only be transformed through intentional effort and asking for more grace from God, then the person start getting appetite for Godly things and the appetite of sin starts dying off gradually. 3. The Effect of the sin. If the saved continues in sin wilfully, it will grieve the holy spirit, affect his/her spiritual growth, appetite for sin increases and appetite for Godly things disappears, etc. 4. Consequences and Penalties. When a saved person who knows Gods word wilfully disobeys God without remorse, and continues in it even when he/she knows the truth from the bible, He or she Faces the judgement of God, the bible said God will judge his people, not just the sinners but HIS People (including the saved), the penalty will be decided by the Righteous Judge but I do not think it will be palatable. You can get more clearance on that from Hebrew 10:26-31. Verse 31 said, "it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God". Addressing the saved. So it means the saved can also fall into the hand of the living God. Ananias and Saphira comes to mind, and also the example BB pointed above. God help us.
  3. Yes, we were saved by grace, not by our own work, it's the free gift of God to man BUT Now that we are saved, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? GOD FORBID! Says the bible.. After Our spirit gets the new life, the next thing is the renewal of the soul (Mind, will) to come into conformity with the Holy Christ Jesus. That's the balanced doctrine. My little inpute.
  4. Brethren please I wanna ask, How do you deal with friends/Neighbours with very bad habits and doesn't wanna change, but rather want you to always be around them and get upset when you stay away from them?? Knowing that the bible told us to flee from such people, how do we manage their feelings so they dont feel rejected ?? Please share your experiences. Thank you.
