  1. And, yea, he who scripture-bombeth unworthily, it would be better for that one that a great millstone were fastened to his neck, and THEN he was swallowed by a great fish, and both he and the great fish went down to the bottoms of the mountains
  2. Another thing that can sometimes be aggravating, especially when combined with scripture-bombing, to me, is extensive QUOTING. So someone posts a mile-long scripture Hiroshima, someone follows it who might want to comment on a small part of it, yet they use the QUOTE FEATURE to repeat the entire bomb, another commenter does the same, and I am just scrolling and scrolling down through the same list of scripture verses.
  3. And I beheld until the scripture-bombing post waxed exceeding great, and smote with choler all the posts around it, and I wist not what it was really about...
  4. One guy in Oregon scripture-bombed on another board, and was immediately turned into a pillar of salt!
  5. Yea, verily, and whosoever scripture-bombs, May a shaft as thick as a weaver's beam be driven through their entrails, and their house become an Dunghill and a habitation of dragons!
  6. What will be the PENALTY for scripture bombing?
  7. Thank you all for the responses. There could have been more than one annointings, yes. I don't know for sure about Mary(s)
  8. John 11:2 says Mary, sister of Lazarus, in Bethany, poured the expensive ointment on Jesus' head. Is it possible this is also Mary Magdalene ?
  9. Many are cold but few are frozen.
  10. I would say the creeds were from an UNDIVIDED CHURCH, before there was any split between Orthodox and Roman Catholic.

  12. Chi Rho I never heard of -- Old Roman Symbol was an earlier, shorter version of Apostles Creed
  13. Yes. there is nothing to argue about in APOSTLES CREED it may go way back to 100 AD - coming out of THE OLD ROMAN SYMBOL
  14. I'm sorry Fidei, I don't have a copy of what the young people came up with. Methodists where I grew up used the APOSTLES CREED more than any other
  15. Those four are packed with heavy stuff. I was recently in a thread with someone who denied that Jesus had a human soul! Chalcedon is very specific, truly God and Truly Man. A few years ago the young people at our Methodist church made up their own creed -- it was very good, too.
  16. the spring of Harod by the way the men drank, Gideon chose his 300
  17. Jdg 16:18 ¶ And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand. Jdg 16:19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
  18. Ebed-Melek and Ahithophel -- right on! On the wise men, what I was shooting for was "in a house" rather than Manger - but Bethlehem could cover both: Mat 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, andworshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, andfrankincense, and myrrh.
  19. Who pulled Jeremiah up out the mud?
  20. Where did the Magi first encounter the Christ-child?
  21. What counselor to a King COMMITTED SUICIDE when his advice was rejected?
  22. Timothy's father was Greek. Did Delilah cut off Samson's hair?
  23. Some people claim that this is a second -- OTHER PRINCE -- in Daniel 9:26-27, and it looks like it has to be, for "the people of the prince who shall come" are the ones who destroy the Temple. Some people claim that Christ is Messiah the Prince as well as the prince mentioned later -- but that would make "the people of the prince who shall come" being the Jews -- destroying their own Temple! The Roman soldiers under Titus do indeed qualify as the people of the prince who shall come and are the ones who destroyed the Temple in 70 AD. Margaret Macdonald's vision/prophecy is NOT pre-trib -- she was used by anti-pre-tribbers (MacPherson and others) -- as a false origin of preTrib, the story was that Darby "got his ideas" from the teenage Scottish girl. But Darby had written his pretrib stuff in 1827 - 3 years before Margaret and her "vision". Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Not the easiest verses to understand, but you cannot have Christ as "the prince that shall come" in second half of 9:26 else you wind up with Jews destroying their own city and sanctuary.
