HELL - Sheol (sheh-ole') Strong's Concordance #7585 Hades or the world of the dead. Sheol is translated in the Old Testament either as hell, the grave, or the pit. (1) The Hebrew word sheol literally refers to a deep pit under the earth. (2) Refers to the realm of the dead. (3) Usually when sheol is translated "hell" in the King James Version of the Old Testament, it does not refer to eternal punishment but of the place where good and evil people continue to exist after death. It is Scripture the “Word” that speaks to me, the more I read the Word’ the more I feel His presence. I prefer to be led by the Word of God over feelings or what I think. The Lord leads through His spirit which never goes against his Word over what I feel. Feelings come and feeling go and feelings are deceiving, but one thing I know the Word of God is the only thing I know that is true. The Word of God is the Lord Jesus Christ speaking to me. 2 Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. The prophet Isaiah described Christ in this way (Isa. 53:2): “For He [Christ] shall grow up before Him [God the Father] as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He has no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.” It was His actions and message that were to attract attention, not any overly attractive physical features.

The second commandment (Ex. 20:4; Deut. 5:8 prohibits images of Christ. If we live 76 years, we get 4000 weeks in this life or 28,000 days or 86,400 seconds. We are all not granted the same amount of time on this earth unfortunately. I became a follow of Christ at the age of 23, I am now going to be 81, from the time I became a believer I have been very mindful that life is short. This reminds me of an illustration commonly used by C. E. Tatham to illustrate the sacredness of this one life. Recently I've been examining the whole issue of Christian merchandising and asking the question: Why does practically every ministry sell things to other believers (biblical teachings through books, tapes, seminars, music, movies etc.)? These are things sold within the body of believers aimed at believers. How are we to view this in light of what our Lord spoke, " In the temple he found those who where selling oxen, sheep, and pigeons, and the moneychangers at their business. ... And he told those who sold, ‘Take these things away; you shall not make my father’s house a house of merchandise.' " (John 2:14-16)? When I was saved 58 years ago VBS was free it was a outreach to the unbelieving world, now I have noticed the churches in the area charge any where from $5 to $50 per child. I know Christ and his Apostles would never charge for the word. I believe most of us have been marketed to and have literally bought into a whole system that has its pattern from the world. Few have ever questioned the initial premise and asked, " What is the basis for all of this?" Yet, where is this practice in Scripture? Did Jesus or any of the Apostles ever do this or sell anything related to teaching or the scrolls? To the contrary you can read Isa. 45:13; 55:1, and 2 Cor.11:7. There is no precedent for this in Scripture and there are actually prohibitions against this (see 1Tim.6:5; Jude 11). Of course, there is also the admonition not to "peddle Gods word for profit (2Cor. 2:17). When Jesus sent the disciples out he said, "give without pay " (Matt.10:8). There is a contrast here, one of merchandise and one of a mutual giving. The essence of Christianity is love and sacrifice. Giving expecting nothing in return. When we set up a monetary exchange (by obligation) we tamper with God's whole plan. Another factor is that the line between business and church has been blurred. Some leaders, teachers, and evangelists live an extravagant, prosperous life (far beyond that of the flock) paid for by the sales and proceeds of their ministry. I just love what John said 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (1Jo 2:6 KJV) I am so glad we have the word and Holy Spirit to guide us. Matt 10:7-8 And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. If Jesus Christ gives His wisdom away free, what makes ours so valuable we have to put a price on it? The ‘Religious Retailing Era’ has done away with… “Matt 10:7-8 freely ye have received, freely give”. When special teacher come such as on the family, marriage they usually charge money to listen to them. There is nothing wrong with a man or women being supported for teaching the word like the Apostles and early church leaders. The early church leader and the Apostle live by faith as people freely gave to them they were taken care of. In the early church this was also how the widows and poor were taken care of. But today it is a Business or a job where they expect a certain amount. I have heard statements like we just hired are pastor or elders or leadership. I always thought it was a CALLING not a job.

Is God being cruel? Of course not, God knows that if any of these ungodly children survive, they will grow up to become Amalekites and continue in the evil tradition of their fathers. They would worship false gods and sacrifice human beings along with all the other things that go with mankind. I am concerned about what’s going on around me, but on the other hand I have realized that I am not a citizen of this world anymore. My citizenship is in His kingdom of God and I’m ambassador of that kingdom who Jesus Christ is the head of. Hell is a prison of everlasting chains from which there is no hope of release (Jude 6). It is a furnace of conscious torment where the fire never goes out (Matt. 13.49-50). In Jer 17:9 Jeremiah called their hearts "deceitful" and "desperately wicked." The word deceitful means "crooked, polluted or slippery." The word translated "desperately wicked" is used elsewhere to mean "incurable" (2 Sam. 12:15;). The New Testament does teach that God requires perfection — that we “be perfect, as [our] heavenly Father is perfect”. (Matt5:48) So, we have a problem: God requires mankind to be perfect which is impossible for us to achieve. The book of Romans teaches that Christ righteousness is imputed to all those who are believers in Christ Jesus, so we are perfect in him. Praise God for this. Look at the days of Noah, eight people were saved out of hundreds of millions of men women and children who were drowned in the flood. Look at a lot, only him and his two daughters were saved out of the city which was destroyed by fire. Look what happens at the return of Christ. But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. “2 Pet 3:7” Who are the ungodly? Those who don’t have the righteousness imputed to them by Jesus Christ, all unbelievers. Look at the great white throne judgment, they all end up in eternal fire. I have never meant a truly moral, kind or a person of integrity in my lifetime and that includes myself. There is only one I know that have those qualities, the Lord Jesus Christ and him alone.

There is no biblical record of Jesus touching money or asking for money or receiving payment for preaching. Jesus talked a lot about money or finances. He discussed the topic of money more often than He spoke of faith and prayer combined. Jesus typically taught in parables-and 11 of His 40 parables were about money or used money to teach us spiritual truths. It seems to me kingdom of God is the central theme in Jesus's teaching. According to Mark, Jesus's message can be summarized as: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15; see also Matt. 4:17, 23; Luke 4:43). Since Jesus was male, I think His example of Love is the only true example. I prefer the way Jesus expressed love. Heb. 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Sometimes it is mental illness, and a few instances it could be demonic, but most of the time it's choice. I'm around a lot of veterans, which I am a veteran myself of the Vietnam war. Most of them, not all of them are suffering from alcohol miss you, drugs, smoking, and social diseases that people don't talk about, it has to do with their sexual habits. At the age of 23 I chose to follow Christ, which helps me stay away from the problems they have. That's why I love to tell them about the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. That's the only hope they have for eternal life, but very few of them wanted it. They want their habits. The choice is theirs.

The unbelieving world can tell you all kinds of things about DNA, anxiety disorder all the other disorders, but there's one thing it doesn't know anything about and that's where all the problems come from, THE SIN NATURE THAT IS IN ALL MANKIND. It seems to me like you’re saying the problem is in the mind or the body and there could be some truth there, but what I am saying its mostly spiritual to me. The world is busy, trying to heal their body or mine. What I care about is their soul, what does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? I am thankful that there was a doctor that could take care of my cancer or another doctor that could take care of my heart problem. But as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ my prayers was to be content, whether I Live or go be with the Lord. I believe mankind’s heart is deceitful from birth (Jer 17:9) There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Rom 3:18) The remarkable thing about God is that when you fear God through Jesus Christ, you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God, you fear everything. Like the Lord say in Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark :39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Only eight were saved out of millions, the rest were lost. Like in the days of Noah, the world was full of problems just like today and what did Noah do. He begged them to get on the ark. You are absolutely right I don't know anything either. It is just my opinion. There are a few things that the scripture does teach, one is we are dead in Adam. Another is the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord. I have been through a lot of things in my life, in 1964 I was in Vietnam. I became a believer in Christ at the age of 23, I am now 80 years old. I've had cancer, heart problems. I can't tell you all the terrible things that have happened in my life. I know what anxiety is, I know what anger is, I know what worry is, you name it and I've done it. Then I heard the wonderful message of the gospel of grace. It changed me through the Holy Spirit. I was born again. I was a new man, but I still had the flash which wars against that new man. When anxiety or anger or worry comes and it might stick around for a little while, an hour or two or three hours, I eventually find rest in my salvation through faith. I have never blamed God for my circumstances or my situations. my anxiety is always self-centered. my anger is always self-centered, my worry is always self-centered. You name it and it's always self-centered when it comes to the flesh. When I see my failures, it makes me thankful for my salvation Rom 2:4. I have been married going on 57 years. Praise the Lord its because of his mercy and grace. I and my wife are simple people. We don't have much. We don't have a new cars. We don't have debt. We live in a rental, but we know what contentment is most the time. We try not to be complainers we try to be thankful. Me and my wife do not believe we deserve anything that helps with contentment. we look at medical as a gift not a need. Jesus said "Luke 9:58" And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. In "Phil 2:5" we are to have the mind Christ. In "1 Jn 2:6" we are to walk as He walked. Who am I to be unhappy? What I am saying is for believers only.

They call it a sickness or a disorder, but what it really is, it's a choice SIN. Why is he called the prince of peace because through him we can have peace because he took our sins upon him on the cross. We have a eternal hope. The choice is ours. Not that life is easy, but as believers we have a choice, we can choose faith and trust his promises and die to self or be a slave to self. What I am going to say is not for unbelievers “the dead” Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. Luk 9:60, we are talking about Gospel of light. Most of the time “Anxiety” is not a disorder it’s a choice. Most problems of mankind today like anxiety, drunkenness, sexual behavior are called a disorder, why? It takes the blame off the person and put it on the disorder. In Gen 3:12 Adam blame Eve for his sin, he put the blame on Eve. What is the root of anxiety for me? The answer is in Matthew 6. Four times in this text Jesus says that we should not be anxious. Matt 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life.” Matt 6:27 “And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life?” Matt 6:31 “Therefore do not be anxious.” Matt 6:34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow.” The verse that shows where anxiety comes from “Matt 6:30 “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith?” In other words, Jesus says that the root of anxiety is lack of faith in our heavenly Father. As unbelief gets the upper hand in our hearts, one of the results is anxiety. So, when Heb 3:12 says, “Take heed lest there be in you an evil heart of unbelief,” it includes this meaning: “Take heed lest there be in you an anxious heart of unbelief.” Anxiety is one of the evil conditions of the heart that comes from unbelief. Jn 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 1 Pet 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you.” It does not say, you will never feel any anxieties to cast onto God. It says when the mud splatters your windshield and you lose temporary sight of the road and start to swerve in anxiety, turn on your wipers and squirt your windshield washer.
