  1. The pivotal point to me is when the son said, “I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants”. (Luk 15:18) The son went back to his father in repentance, acknowledging his sin, and seeking pardon. I think of King David in “Psa 51:1 “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.” Psa 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. The prodigal son came back to his father totally broken like King David did. I remember so many times when sons or daughters have totally rebelled against their parents, and they want to come home with some strings attached. Those strings could be, I am going to party a little, smoked marijuana or drink a little, they are playing more than working. If they come back with any stipulations that is not true repentance and they’re not really a prodigal son, they are a rebellious son. Look at what the prodigal son said to his father “Luk 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. This is true repentance.
  2. So has fornication, so has adultery, so has divorce, so has killing, so has men having sex with men, I could go on and on. Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) You said "a lot of professing Christians today do seem to regard getting tattooed as a wholesome experience - often in a faith-based design" ITS NOT FAITH BASED DESIGN, IT'S FRESHLY BASED. Gods will is to memorize the word and put it in your heart, not cut into your arm, or your shoulder, or your back, or your legs. "Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Christ is coming soon and when he comes, he is going to destroy this world and all the things that are done on it by fire, and every good work that unbelievers have done on this earth will be burned up, then the unbeliever will be thrown into the lake of fire forever and ever. Then he creates a new heaven and a new earth for us that believe in Him. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. I want to share the truth with my lips, not with a marked up arm or wrist with a verse on it.
  3. I join the Navy at the age of 19 in 1963, I went to boot camp in San Diego, after boot camp I was sent to Great Lakes Illinois for training. While I was there, I got a tattoo of an Eagle which said “USN on the top and my name on the bottom, it was a large tattoo, it cost me $8. I was so pride of that tattoo. It let people know I was in the Navy plus it made me feel I was somebody. During that time mostly military or bikers had tattoo, you didn’t see women with them. Also, at that time no men had piercings in their ears or noise. I travel all around world at that time on the ship I was on, it was the same no matter where I went except for Africa, Jamaica, new Guinea and a very few other places I went. I became a believer in Christ when I was 23. From that moment, I wish I never got it. It’s been a mark on my body, which has been more of a curse than a blessing. I know it’s no big deal today in the body of Christ because it’s so common. There are other things that have become very common also in the body of Christ today such as marijuana, alcohol, divorce, debt and many other. I’m not saying you can’t be a believer or even a strong believer, I’m just saying it’s not “wise”. It’s walking after the flesh to me. Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 4 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
  4. There is no such thing as a as a faith based tattoo, all tattoo are fleshly based. I got a tattoo 60 years ago in the navy. It was all about me at the time. Who ever get a tattoo shame on you. Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
  5. “There are two kinds of statistics, the kind you look up and the kind you make up.” These are ALL made-up. “Often statistics are used as a drunken man uses lamp posts…for support rather than illumination” “Do not put your faith in what statistics say until you have carefully considered what they do not say” There is one Statistic that is true—Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Matt 8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. Jesus answered him, in effect: “Your first duty is to follow Me. Let the spiritually dead bury the physically dead. All Believers Have the same calling----Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
  6. 1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. This is one of the clearest teachings on the incarnation of Christ and His Deity. God was manifested in the flesh refers to the Lord Jesus, and particularly to His Incarnation. Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. This is talking about Jesus.
  7. Of course not, I love every word that Christ says to me through the scripture. I personally don’t see any difference between Jesus’s teaching and Paul’s teaching. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 1 Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Everyone who has this hope of Christ return, will be influence towards holiness. Praise God, you and I have the same hope.
  8. "A clear conscience is the sure sign of a bad memory." –Mark Twain "There's one way to find out if a man is honest: ask him; if he says yes, you know he is not." –Mark Twain
  9. What is your point? I do love Christ teachings and commands. I know that if I broke the Law in one area, I am guilty of all. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. I became a follower of Christ, through faith not by the works of the Law. My Hope is in Christ and His righteousness, which He imputed to me just like He did to Abraham. Do you keep God’s Law perfectly? That’s what He requires. Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? How did they receive the Spirit? By keeping the law, or by believing through faith, it was by believing. No one ever received the Holy Spirit by keeping the law. If they could not obtain salvation by the works of the Law, how could they to grow in holiness or Christian maturity by the law? All true believers desire to obey Jesus and His commands and council. We are in a moment-by-moment battle with the flesh. Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
  10. This teaching is for the body of Christ not the world. The Law say’s in Matt 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: Jesus Christ say’s in Matt 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Divorce was never God's will for the Jew's or the body of Christ. His will is that one man and one woman remain married until their union is broken by death “Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while herhusband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man”. Not only is the former wife living in adultery, whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery. If you are divorce, whether you are the guilty party or the innocent party, you are not to remarry. 1 Cor 7:15 it is possible that a believer is allowed to divorce (and possibly to remarry) if he or she is deserted by the unbeliever spouse. You are right Christ has forgiven us for all our sins, but it doesn’t change the fact that Christ hates divorce. Christ said on in the sermon on the mount, Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
  11. I personally don't think I am a sinner because I sin. I am a sinner because I am in Adam. 1 Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Rom 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth isfull of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. At the foot of the cross we are all on level ground. Every man, woman and child are all dead in ADAM when they are born. When I share the Gospel which is good news, I start off with the bad news first, we are all dead in Adam.
  12. Reading a book to me from a believer would be no different than me telling you what I think about the subject we are discussing. I am giving you, my thoughts. When I read a book, I look at it the same way. It’s like the Bereans in Acts 17:11. Though zealous to hear, they first tested it for themselves from the Scriptures and then submitted themselves to following it. The Bereans received it only because it agreed with the Scriptures, which they searched daily. Yes, I will buy a book from a believer to read what they have to say. I do like to hear other’s opinion on Doctrinal subjects, but to me they are only opinions. I have never written a book on the Scriptures, If I did, I would never charge for it. I would never merchandise the word of God to make a profit or a living. 1 Cor 9:18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. The disciples received the message from Jesus for free and they were to offer it freely to all who would come and hear and believe. When it comes to this subject Pat is talking about, I want to be like the Bereans.
  13. 2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. The scriptures is the only inspired book I know, any other book is only man's opinion. I look at all other books but the "Scriptures" as commentaries. The scriptures I read have no "copyright" it’s not own by man, Its free, just like Jesus, Apostles and the writers of the Scriptures they freely gave us the word. I read other books from Believer, but they are just books to me. I personally never recommend other books outside the Scripture. I personally don't think God ever fits His word to suit me; He fits me to suit His word.
  14. Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. These verses mean exactly what they say. On judgment day when unbelievers are judged for their Works (Rev 20:11-15). The unbeliever will bring all their good Works before the Lord Jesus Christ, they will remind Him that they prophesied, or cast out demons, or performed many wonders—all in His name. But their Works will all be in vain. Jesus will declare to them that He never knew you or acknowledged them as His own. When a person believes in Jesus Christ as Lord, he receives the righteousness of Christ just like Abraham did. “Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Not his own righteousness but Christ Jesus righteousness. In Matt 7:21 the were trusting in their own works, NOT IN HIS WORK that’s why He never knew them. These men were False Prophets, “Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
  15. 1 Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jn 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they bethrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; That's why it's a mystery. I Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
  16. I am not A conservative or liberal, I am not well educated, I never have done anything great according to the world standards. But I have lived for 80 years, I have 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, I have been married 56 years, been a believer in Jesus Christ for 56 yrs. also. I fall short in what I am going to say but it is my desire. There is one thing which means everything to me, that is the Lord Jesus Christ and His Heavenly Vision. I think of Him and feel His present throughout the day. My love for Him is growing every day, not lessens as time goes on. Therefore, I cannot carry on a friendship, or even a conversation without relating it to the Hope I have through Him. The faith that I have in Him along with His Holy Spirit drives and guides my life. I evaluate people, books, ideas and actions according to the Word of God and the Hope of His coming. Perhaps a more telling question might be, "Are we willing to live on bread in order to preach the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ?" Did Jesus pay the price and live in poverty so that the apostles and believers that followed didn't have to? Did they live lives of ease and luxury leave a legacy of established kingdoms in this world? Did they build great institutions, naming great churches, universities and seminaries after themselves as is the practice today? Let Paul's words suffice: But sometimes I think God has put us apostles on display, like prisoners of war at the end of a victor's parade, condemned to die. We have become a spectacle to the entire world--to people and angels alike. Our dedication to Christ makes us look like fools, but you are so wise! We are weak, but you are so powerful! You are well thought of, but we are laughed at. To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, without enough clothes to keep us warm. We have endured many beatings, and we have no homes of our own. We have worked wearily with our own hands to earn our living. We bless those who curse us. We are patient with those who abuse us. We respond gently when evil things are said about us. Yet we are treated like the world's garbage, like everybody’s trash--right up to the present moment. (1 Corinthians 4:9-13, NLT)
  17. “When the church joined with the state, it tended to exercise power rather than grace.” We are ambassador is an official representative of a king or government. Christians are God’s ambassadors in that they have been “sent by God to be preach the gospel”. As we go through this world, we represent another Kingdom” Jn 18:36”, and it is our responsibility to represent this Kingdom. We are in this world, but not of it “Jn 17:16”. God’s ambassadors are to be “as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves” Matt 10:16”. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we must take the message of our King to the “ends of the earth” Acts 1:8”, imploring men and women everywhere to be reconciled to God. An ambassador of Christ is a representative of Christ's kingdom, and teachings, we are sent to proclaim His message of salvation, grace, and reconciliation to the world through His Body called the Church 1 Cor 12:13. This Church is not an organization, it is a living body of Called out ones. Christ's disciples live in this present world as if they were foreigners, guests of the nations where they reside, as ambassadors for Christ and His coming Kingdom. When God calls a person to repentance and conversion, He summons them to forsake former allegiances and transfer all loyalty to Christ and His Kingdom. We have one message to share with the world. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
  18. I do know, "2 Pet 3:1-18" tell us "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. In "Matt 24:37-39" Jesus told His disciples, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. The people didn't want to hear what Noah had to say. They didn't want to listen to the warnings that God was giving through Noah. Those scoffers, like scoffers today, were saying that everything is just fine - like it’s always been. Why do you think they were saying that? To put people to sleep and steal their hope. The hope of the coming of Jesus is the most important thing besides the gospel that a believer can hold on to today. I have heard from many Church leaders’ “Pastors” that Christians need to redeem the society they live in. They need to be involved in government, politics and every type of business and social institution so that they can make a difference. That’s what a lot of them say today. But let me ask you this: whose example are we to follow? The answer for me is Jesus Christ. Did Jesus involve Himself in the politics of His day? Think of what a difference He could have made if He had entered government. But what do the Scriptures say? The scriptures are often time read through the filter of the flesh, not the mind of Christ.
  19. Out here in Calif there are help wanted signs everywhere. You could move to Calif, just kidding.
  20. The Constitution is of man and his view of the world. We should seek the mind of Christ through the Holy Spirit and the Scripture through faith. Phil 2:5; 1 Jn 2:6 I really don’t care what the world thinks, because I belong to a different kingdom. At the age of 23 Jesus Christ became my Lord and I was delivered from the power of darkness, and was translated into the kingdom of his dear Son: “Col 1:13” Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.“Jn 18:36” 1 Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. Empire after empire has come and gone; nations have been raised, and nations have fallen, but the Kingdom of God has remained. The Medes, Persians, Greeks, and Romans all have died out. The pride and schemes of powerful leaders such as Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Caesar Augustus, Napoleon, Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, and even Biden and Trump have amounted to nothing more than confusion and needless bloodshed. All the so-called great countries of the world will be destroyed at Jesus Christ coming that includes the United States. The world is like the Titanic full of pride and self-centeredness. You can remodel it, repaint it, make more laws to fight evil but it is still going to sink, there is no Hope outside of Christ and the heavenly Kingdom of God. 2 Pet 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Knowing at Christ return he will destroy all man’s works by fire. How should we be living our life? There is only one hope for mankind and that is through the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ “Rom 1:16” For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
  21. That's very true. I was just thinking about the power of God which is in the Gospel compared to physical healing. This Gospel delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col 1:13 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Col 1:14 Paul definitely teaches justification by faith only (Rom 3:4, Rom 3:5; Gal 2:16; Gal 3:7-14). But without “love” prophecy, knowledge, and faith, are of no value. This love to me is His love, because He lives in me through the Holy Spirit, all through Faith.
  22. 1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become assounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 1Co 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there beknowledge, it shall vanish away. While it is true that some had faith before they saw healing (Jesus never asked anyone to prove their faith before He healed them. And there are some that did not have faith before they saw healing (the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1–15) The only way I have ever seen a person become a follower “believer” in Christ is through the Gospel not through healing. The greatest healing I know is through the Gospel. That’s why I would rather talk about the gospel. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. This Gospel delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col 1:13 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Col 1:14 "Love and Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see." “He said "Love...as I have loved you." We cannot love too much.” ”Amy Carmichael”
  23. The scriptures in Greek say "Os" and Os is not the word for God. You are right if you are reading a modern translation which is from “The Alexandrian Text Family”. I read the “KJV” which uses “The Byzantine Text Family” which say θεὸς “God”. That’s because your Bible is using “The Alexandrian Text Family”. The Bible I use is the ‘KJV’ which is using The Byzantine Text Family. There is a different in the Greek when comes to the word “God and He”. The "KJV" Translator uses “The Byzantine Text Family”. The modern Translation uses “The Alexandrian Text Family”. That’s OK with me brother, I have been reading and memorizing the “KJV” for 57 years, if there is a difference in words, I choose the “KJV”.
  24. The Greek behind the KJV says "God is manifest in the flesh". There is a big difference between "God and He. Westcott and Hort / [NA27 and UBS4 variants "modern translations" καὶ ὁμολογουμένως μέγα ἐστὶν τὸ τῆς εὐσεβείας μυστήριον· Ὃς ἐφανερώθη ἐν σαρκί, ἐδικαιώθη ἐν πνεύματι, ὤφθη ἀγγέλοις, ἐκηρύχθη ἐν ἔθνεσιν, ἐπιστεύθη ἐν κόσμῳ, ἀνελήμφθη ἐν δόξῃ. Byzantine Majority Text "KJV" Καὶ ὁμολογουμένως μέγα ἐστὶν τὸ τῆς εὐσεβείας μυστήριον· θεὸς ἐφανερώθη ἐν σαρκί, ἐδικαιώθη ἐν πνεύματι, ὤφθη ἀγγέλοις, ἐκηρύχθη ἐν ἔθνεσιν, ἐπιστεύθη ἐν κόσμῳ, ἀνελήφθη ἐν δόξῃ. 1 Tim 3:16 (KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (ESV) Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory. (NIV) Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. I choose the KJV over the Bible you are using when it comes to the verse.
  25. I was talking about the word "God" has been removed not godliness. 1 Timothy 3:16 is one of the clearest teachings on the incarnation of Christ and His Deity. The newer Translations remove “qeos” (Theos-God) which is a noun and changed it to “῝Ος” (Hos-He), which is a pronoun. This is a attack upon the Lord Jesus Christ by removing the fact that He was and is God, and specifically as God being the Savior. (Isa 43:11 KJV) I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
