  1. Happy birthday, Jesus.
  2. In some areas of the US there are groups of hunters who are permitted to cull the herds when over population threatens starvation. The hunters are allowed to keep an allotment for themselves for food and the rest is given to a food bank to be given to the poor and needy.
  3. This is not Brownsville, Tx. I grew up in that area. It's flat with miles of furrows for plant crops and has palm trees not evergreens. And, I've never known it to get down to 16 degrees F. Try researching one of the other Brownsvilles in the US.
  4. Could be St Elmo's Fire. It usually glows blue or violet but depends on what gasses are in the atmosphere.
  5. Hmmm... a provocation for Russia and China? Biden and Kamala better remember that they are here in the US, too, unless they are planning to start their own country elsewhere.
  6. Are you talking about rumor or truth? Is it positive, neutral, or negative? Sometimes it's best to not say anything. Sometimes it's addressing something important and for the benefit of a person and other times it can be detrimental or malicious. Ask for discernment in knowing the difference and how to respond or not.
  7. Why is it that smaller aggressors do not consider the imbalance of trying to take on larger countries or even the world?
  8. The end of day was most inspired and reaffirming knowing that God's love is faithful. He will never leave us nor forsake us. We are blessed.
  9. Yes. And thank you for referencing Shekinah, God's glory, you understand.
  10. Yes. I understand why people might want a faith based tattoo. I had a prior prejudice against any tattoo when I learned about how tattoos were used to make lampshades out of victims' skin by their captors. It haunted me and still does. It's not the tattoo that's in question but the not being able to disassociate the horror of what happened to those poor captives. If I had a tattoo, it would be a constant reminder of something I'd rather not think about.
  11. Ex CEO of Aetna, Bertolini, said he understands how the shooting of UHC CEO was provoked. He thinks that anger is building because insurance coverage is more expensive and covers less. That's because the majority of working people with employer contributions are only getting an average coverage of what most people need. He said that employer plans should be dropped and indiviual plans should be offered according to needs. My question is who can afford individualized coverage if there are no employer contributions.? Probably not many people can do that. There needs to be a lot of reform in the insurance industry. Aetna and CVS are part of the same company. That affects Big Pharma price control. And, Big Pharma's price gouging is a major reason for high costing coverage. It's enough to make you ill if you weren't already.
  12. Tattoos are not for me. There are other ways I prefer to witness. But, I do have a question. Do people get faith based tattoos for themselves or to witness to others? There are so many ways to display faith that are not permanent graffiti on my skin.
  13. It's because Abraham banished Ishmael and Hagar to the desert. And, the Ishmaelite descendants were given to warring even among themselves. It's been raging for a very long time.
  14. When you are that sick, you don't think right and don't realize how sick you are. Amazing how the Lord sends just the right people at just the right time to help us along. You have been a great witness to many here. I have been given opportunities to encourage when I thought I was going home, too. Blessings to you.
  15. I ended up selling my home and land because it was too much to care for. Fortunately I could early retire, pay my medical bills and sustain myself with the proceeds of the sale. And, happily I met and married a wonderful man. I know God had his hand on us when He brought us together. You see his wife had passed away from a terminal illness. I have had some major adjustments moving to an urban area while I miss and love the country. I have been blessed by attending a good church in which to fellowship with dear brothers and sisters when possible. So I've known both: the closeness of good relations and the peacefulness of a quiet life. My needs are simple.
  16. Death. Physical death. I lived alone for several years out in the country and had little interaction with the rest of the world. I loved the peace and quiet and beauty of nature, my sanctuary. The little critters, birds, and bigger animals were my family and friends. I'd sing with the birds, chatter at the squirrels, howl at the coyotes,... At the same time I paid little attention to myself not giving me much thought. Everyday I spent as much time as possible with the Lord. We had that constant communication going on. One day I noticed an unusual skin problem on my ankle and foot. I went barefoot most of the time and a soil born bacteria had invaded my body through a thorn puncture to the foot. I didn't think much of it at first. But, as days went by it grew into a large ulcer and spread to my other ankle. I became feverous and headed to the hospital not knowing that I had sepsis throughout my body and was within a couple of weeks of dying. The doctors isolated me in a terminally ill ward running all kinds of tests to identify the type of flesh eating bacteria I had contracted. That was when the ebola virus was running rampant in Africa. They were taking no chances. They brought CDC in and finally diagnosed the culprit. During that stay I was in prayer and talked to God that if it was my time to "go home" I was ready. And if He had more purpose in His plan for me, I was willing. Within 1 1/2 weeks I was completely healed and regained organ function. Ever since then I have been used in many opportunities to serve and witness. God is good. And I am made well by His mercy.
  17. There are alternative choices for survival. They may not be my first choices as I would like a peaceful, simple lifestyle in my last years. But, God has given me skills in several different areas. I didn't always understand the leading; but, it's always worked for the good. So I trust the Lord to open my eyes on how to serve in His plan. Let it be a blessing to Him and others.
  18. I truly hope that RFK Jr will be appointed. He has good plans for reform and MAHA, making America healthy again. Thank you MM for your kind thoughts. I'll pray for you, too, Sis.
  19. Not only that but doctors have to carry very high insurance for malpractice and non payers. With new price regulations they are reduced to being wage earners.
  20. My Medicare insurance dropped my doctor back in July. Why? I haven't been back because out of network is more expensive. So I shop around and sign up for a new provider that he is in network and 0 dollar premiums and prescriptions. Oh my gosh, my SS payment is reduced to less than half of what I get now because of Medicare deductions. Thanks a lot Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas for covering illegal immigrants out of SS and Medicare. Now I cannot support myself on my retirement.
  21. Why certainly. Celebrate Him everyday. He is our gift and blessing. Let's bless Him with our love and devotion.
  22. My kitty, 20 years old now, had many years of playing incognito under the tree. She thought she was invisible to everyone. You could call her and she'd act like I'm hiding you can't see me. LOL I put pine cones on the lower branches that she could knock down and bat around. Fun stuff.
  23. We don't put a tree up anymore. The kids do that at their house which is really for the grandson.
  24. And I love to share Jesus. He is our reason for living. What purpose do we have without Him?
