..shortly after getting my tattoo done .. the dentist ask me about it - it opened up a conversation that would not have come about at all..I honestly felt OK about getting the tattoo in the first place.( I had weighed everything up , talked to my pastor, reflected on scripture ) The conversation surprised me, and it did serve as an encouragment at the time. I have had quite a few conversations at work when people notice it. christianityboard dot com These days ppl do need a lot of wholesome encouragement, anyway. ( cc @Coruscating ) Yes. Definitely conversation starter. Each to his own.....Not for me though I have to say.

I have to disagree here sorry. Most of the immigrants who have come here (UK) have come illegally. Broken our laws some even stabbing others in the boats crossing the channel with them. There is currently a big problem in the UK with sex trafficking gangs. Most run by Muslim immigrant men. They have gone through several safe countries in Europe and are choosing to aim for UK. The authorities have had to look for them because after failing immigration rules they have gone into hiding. Lawlessness is not a godly concept. We are to obey the laws of the land. Offering shelter, love and safety to those in genuine need is correct but we also have to protect the people in this land from unfortunately a large majority who have no intention of integration and means us harm . Sorry but situation getting pretty bad here in UK.

Doesn't surprise me that tattoos are popular in general population. Seen loads when I worked in a dermatology clinic. The biggest one I've seen covered this patients entire back. I was caring for him post suicide attempt. It was an image of the crucifixion and the words " only God can judge me" written there . Gave me an opportunity to have a profound conversation. Didn't realise that faith ones were becoming more popular though. Not my thing but that's just my opinion.

No I'm in the UK. They're not very popular here. Not to my knowledge anyway. I'm not a fan to be honest.

Yes. Faith comes by hearing.... We are just the vessels He uses sometimes. Using decernment is important I've learnt.

I would agree the man following God's word and protecting and leading the married couple with both using the gifts God has given them is the best situation. Encouraging both to be the people they were created to be. It works ! Been married 30 plus years. Sadly I've witnessed many men in a church setting using this 'men have authority ' arguement to belittle and even abuse women. I'm sure you would agree that there are some men who use it as part of coercive control to justify ungodly, abusive behaviour. Of course there are also controlling women who like to belittle and dominate men and use that in an ungodly way to gain power and influence. My opinion is God's way works ( no surprise there) but this area is often misquoted, misused to fulfill an individual's agenda and we need to be aware of that .

And of course the scripture goes on to say how important it is for husbands to love their wives as Jesus loves the church....... Important to include the complete scripture I think 🙂 .

I could recommend healing and deliverance ministry in the UK but don't know any in the US. A brilliant book by Henry Wright - A more excellent way - may help in showing the spiritual root. Shows the importance of repenting of any dealings with occult, idolatry etc ( reiki, pagan things, martial arts etc ). Including any generational dealings. There may be some links in the book for the US. I also think he did work on chemical sensitivity. His ministry is still going in the US I think. God wants him well. Just had a look . It's great how they've put it all together. U tube is also showing the news in the US . They've got a pretty big audience world wide . I find it fascinating watching God's creation 🙂 .
