  1. You're accusing a lot of people of lying and conspiring to prove god doesn't exist Think about what you're saying. I understand what he is saying. And there are scriptures to back him up? Having scripture doesn't give him the right to accuse a community (and then some) of lying to further an agenda that they don't even have. Click here to see the latest AGENDA!!!! Oldest human skeleton offers new clues to evolution So why are there still apes in zoos!!! I always find it curious that these articles almost always say "may have" and "may be" when they publish their "scientific" garbage. Evolution is no more provable than life on Mars. Amen Parker!!! They sure do grasp for Straws don't they!!! So much for EVOLUTION THEORY---IT IS NOT FACT!!!!
  2. I believe your Salvation can not be lost. Once you accept Jesus and receive the Holy Spirit, the scripture tells us that we are sealed until the day of redemption. Eph 1:13-14 (AMP) In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit. That [spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it
  3. Time Changers, Left Behind Series, movies by Rich Christiano are all good. As for hymns on cd, I have found this one: America's 25 Favorite Hymns and this one Hymns In The Vineyard

  5. I agree that the Bible is the Final and Ultimate Authority because of this scripture: 2 Tim 3:16-17 (AMP) Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God
  6. I think VeriChip is trying to prey on peoples fears about the Swine flu to further their Chipping Agenda for the mark of the Beast. I guess this is one way to do it. You won't catch me getting one!!!!
  7. I agree you should witness whenever the Spirit prompts you. Anytime, anywhere, to anyone!!! 2 Tim 4:2 (AMP) Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching. I think this scripture states how we are to witness!!!!
  8. JCISGD, Remember that the 4 gospels are the accounts of Jesus, told by 4 different people. So, each gospel reflects the writers view of what went on. They are like 4 different cameras pointed at the same subject from 4 different angles. In Matthew, he is giving his account of what Jesus said from his view, and Mark is giving an account of what Jesus said from his view. Mark is actually expounding on Matthew's view. He has in a sense, summed it all up in Mark 10:11-12 (AMP)--And He said to them, Whoever dismisses (repudiates and divorces) his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; And if a woman dismisses (repudiates and divorces) her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. As to your second question, according to Paul we are not to associate with that person. In fact, we are to drive them out from among us. 1 Cor 5:11-13 (AMP)-- But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person. What [business] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside [the church] upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgment [passing censuring sentence on them as the facts require]? God alone sits in judgment on those who are outside. Drive out that wicked one from among you [expel him from your church]. Here is that same scripture from the NASB 1 Cor 5:11-13 (NASB)--But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves. You'll notice that in the NASB it says "SO-CALLED BROTHER" which means that person truly isn't saved. Remember the Fruits of the Flesh: Gal 5:19-21 (AMP)--Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies), envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. And the Fruits of the Spirit: Gal 5:22-23 (AMP)--But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge]. I hope I have helped you understand. Jime
  9. My answer to question #1. Matt 5:32 (AMP)--But I tell you, Whoever dismisses and repudiates and divorces his wife, except on the grounds of unfaithfulness (sexual immorality), causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a woman who has been divorced commits adultery. Matt 19:9 (AMP)--I say to you: whoever dismisses (repudiates, divorces) his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Mark 10:11-12 (AMP)--And He said to them, Whoever dismisses (repudiates and divorces) his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; And if a woman dismisses (repudiates and divorces) her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. If you read all the scriptures that Jesus spoke about divorce, you will see He is saying that if the woman remarries she commits adultery. The scripture from Mark explicitly answers your question. It does not leave any doubt. My answer on question 2. 1 Cor 7:12-13 (AMP)--12 To the rest I declare
  10. It means that it is sanctioned, ordained, governed by God. God commissioned marriage as stated by Jesus in Matt 19:5-6 (AMP)--And said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be united firmly (joined inseparably) to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder (separate). It says that God joins people in marriage thus making it sanctified.
  11. The answer to your first question: I think Jesus knew that the desire of a woman is to be married. Thus, He said if she being divorced remarries she commits adultery because she is still bound to her first husband by God. God only recognizes the first marriage. The answer to your second question: Paul was telling them to stay with the unbeliever to be a witness, but not to leave the unbeliever or divorce them. If they(the unbeliever) leave, then let them go. They are still married in the sight of God. Basically they are separated. They cannot remarry.
  12. Sanctity of Marriage Marriage is an establishment that is given and governed by God Almighty. Its ultimate purpose was to multiply the human race, but it was also for companionship. (Genesis 1:26-28) Then God said,
  13. I voted: Ok only if the death of a spouse. This subject has been a sticky one for my family. What does scripture say about divorce. Jesus teaches us in Matt 5:31-32 (AMP)--"It has also been said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce. But I tell you, Whoever dismisses and repudiates and divorces his wife, except on the grounds of unfaithfulness (sexual immorality), causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a woman who has been divorced commits adultery." Then Paul talks about it in 1 Cor 7:10-15 (AMP)--But to the married people I give charge
  14. Well, before the fall of all man kind, we were perfect until satan tempted Eve. In Gen 1:31 (NASB)--God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. So God did create us to be like Jesus. We were created also to fellowship with God. Adam communed with God, as seen in Gen 2:16-17 (NASB)-- The Lord God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."and again in Gen 3:9-13 (NASB)--Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?" He said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself." And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" The man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate." Then the Lord God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." These are just a few scriptures where God was talking to man.
  15. Well, He did according to Gen 1:26 (NASB)--Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Jesus is a part of the "US" in the scripture above. The "US" is the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  16. You have actually misquoted me here. I did not say the word "could" man that. I said it "does" mean that. Your case is not as tight as you are attempting to make out. Sorry about that chap, if that's the case then can you explain this verse in Genesis chapter 2:3 which uses the words God and Bara together to mean (something created from nothing?) Genesis 2:3 reads: Gen 2:3 (KJV) 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created (Bara definiton something created from nothing.) and made. At this point; the hebrew word should mean something created from something that already existed. but it doesn't why? it's because At this point after the creation God was confirming that He created Bara something out of nothing. Here it is in plain Hebrew Eric. And this verse is after day 7. Spiritman, I agree, that if the earth was re-created after Genesis 1:2, then it would have to be made from something which does not agree with Genesis 2:3 which uses Bara for the word created. This verse is confirming that God Created something from nothing.
  17. I do not see where the gap theory comes in at all. Genesis 1:2 is expounding on 'earth' in Genesis 1:1. This article explains it perfectly! ************************************************************************* The gap theory
  18. We are not yet living in the time that Revelation speaks about. These are the birth pangs that Christ spoke of. Mark 13:8 (NLT) "Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, as well as famines. But this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come." And also the anti-christ has not been revealed. He is not in power over the whole world!! Dan 8:23-25 (NKJV) 23 "And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. 24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. 25 "Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means. 2 Thess 2:3-8 (NLT) 3 Don
  19. This is how I would answer this person: 1) He created Himself? God never created Himself, God always existed!!! Rev. 1:8--
  20. I think Sarah is pretty special. I can relate to her being barren. I couldn't imagine having a child at 90 years old!!!
  21. I think "Time Changer" by Rich Christiano is a great movie. It is funny at times and has a serious message for the church today. Check out Christian Movies.com for a great selection!!!
  22. I beleive the Shroud of Turin is the actual burial cloth of Jesus. I beleive it is the permanent picture left to us by Jesus to prove His resurrection. But, that aside, the ultimate proof was the 500 people He appeared to at one time that clinches it!! Not to mention the people today that He appears to.
  23. I disagree. If there is violence, nudity or any cussing, why subject your kids to it. Yeah, that is the way the world is today, but we don't have to partake in it. Scripture says in Psalms 101:1-8 (NLT) 1 I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs. 2 I will be careful to live a blameless life
  24. I think Mr. Walt Disney would be horrified at what is going on. This is not what it started out ot be. It's now all about the money. I totally agree!!
