  1. I'd go along with that, and drop the bunnies and eggs.
  2. The Bible says plainly they saw the God of Israel. Jesus says no one has seen the Father. Add to that, when the Jews spoke to Jesus about Abraham, he referred to them that before Abraham was "I am". Which is what Yahweh told Moses to tell the Hebrews, who it was that sent him. We are told that Jesus existed in the form of God before he became human flesh.
  3. It's kind of divisive and never leads to positive things.
  4. I thought about it for a while, and I would have to pick Job. He suffered all that Satan had to throw at him and stayed true to God.
  5. Several evangelistic main stream preachers say Trump is a Christian. He privately tells folks he's for a national abortion ban, and Biden has instructed his administration to make abortions available as much as possible. I personally do not consider the Roman Catholic Church a Christian organization. That doesn't mean all Catholics are not, but the majority that I know, do not show the fruits of a born again follower of Jesus. Thank goodness that decision is up to Jesus and not me.
  6. Realistically, it's either Trump or Biden. Are you saying Biden would be better for the country than Trump?
  7. If he is abusive, I don't think a wife has to obey. I personally consider it to be unfaithful when the husband does not fulfill his Christ given duties.
  8. I have seen from a dozen or so articles and/or videos of the possibility of finding Gilgamesh's tomb. And it has DNA available in it, and it's been sequenced. It will be interesting to see how this all comes out. It's a bit too out there for me to buy into as a fact, but interesting enough to think possible.
  9. Part of the context of this scripture carries with it the duties of the Husband also. He is to love his wife as Jesus loved the church.... That would be putting her needs ahead of his consistently. He should be ready to let a dozen or so big buys beat him half to death and then hang him on a tree for her. He should do all things in this life for her benefit, as Jesus did ours. I can't imagine any woman not submitting to someone like that.
  10. Each of us are very unique. Each of our walks with the Lord is different. We should use those walks and the different experiences we have had to help us all, not put everyone that has a different walk down. I try my best not to ever tell someone they are wrong. I can see things different and express my view (with a few exceptions when I thought it would harm other readers).
  11. Donald was introduced to Jesus about half way through the 2016 election. He's not perfect, but he is a believer. He's also under strain that very few if anyone can imagine. I am familiar with the people who introduced him to the Lord, and I trust at least one of them go know. I also give him time to grow in his beliefs. So I'm not going to judge him. Especially since most of the media are pretty much terrified that he might get reelected. I see people here take things he says out of context and dump on him and bring up things from 30 years ago to put him down. Well it's been a bit longer than 30 years, but between 17 and 22 I was not a very nice person. Actually, there were whole weeks I could not account for. So I kind of cut him some slack. As for other religions, I could not disagree with you too much, but I will say that in my church search over a 20-year period I did finally discover that there are born-agains in most churches. Core groups that do the Lords work in spite of different doctrines. It's Jesus job to sort that all out, and mine to have him as my Lord and do the things I'm asked to do.
  12. I can only share one that I can think of right now, for the others deal with intercessory prayers. That wouldn't be kosher to talk about those. My wife lost the use of her legs from MS, and we weren't sure she would ever walk again. As the exacerbation came to an end, she regained a lot of function, but was very weak. She was still teaching, and it was a huge problem for her to continue with her job. She was an excellent teacher and was doing things with her kids that none of the other teachers seemed to be able to. So it wasn't just selfishness on my part that I thought God should heal her. Not just for us, but for her class also. Well things rocked on for several months and I kind of got upset with him for I know it's nothing for him to heal people. I have watched a little girl who was x-rayed for a surgery to remove a third kidney and after the church had anointed her with oil and laid hands on her, the kidney went away by itself (by the hand of God). Two sets of x-rays proving it was a healing. I went out in the backyard one evening and pretty much had a childish hissy fit. Shook my fist in his face and let him know I didn't think it was fair. After some time, I actually demanded that he at least tell me why. I know the voice was from God, for it would have been the furthest thing on my mind when he spoke in a soft, loving voice and basically said that it was between him and her, and it really wasn't any of my business. I was crushed, ashamed of myself, and reminded that she was not a total invalid, and I should thank him for that. Two months later he got her scooted up a list for a new drug which pretty much stopped the progression of the MS. Here 35 years later she's still getting around, though I would say barely. Both of us are in our 70 and have had a really good time in life. He didn't heal her, but still gave us a super life together. At 77 and 74 it looks like it may be a coin flip to see if we die before the Lord returns.
  13. On rare occasions with my ears.
  14. Jesus told us that no one has ever seen the Father, however Moses tells us that he, Aaron and 72 other people went up and saw the God of Israel (Yahweh) Yahweh can not be the Father. I do believe that he said there were no other Gods before him, not that others did not exist. I firmly believe that we do not understand what the word God meant to the people who wrote the Bible. The same word used for the God of Israel is the same word used for Moloch and Baal. And since there are no capital letters in Hebrew, the only difference in God and god is in the context observed by the translators. God can be used and is for any of the Trinity.
  15. So let us educate people on the fact that they were not really Christians.
  16. Oh come on. He's just using that phrase to show how people are dedicated to what he's doing. Some people are animals. Look what they did to folks in Israel. Read what MS13 does to people... To quote good old Joe, "Come on man!" You are taking things way way out of context.
  17. I do believe everyone should remember that Abraham was a liar, Moses was a murderer, and King David was an adulterous murderer, and Solomon introduced evil into the people of Judah and Sampson was a womanizer. At least, I don't think Donald has killed anyone.
  18. I hope you are not saying the Catholic Church was a Christian organization
  19. Those people were not Christians, and they were not following what I read in the Bible.
  20. If that person was a Christian, yes, I would. I've studied Islam and want no part of it. However, I do prefer what we have here in the USA over them all. Problem is that too many want to change it.
  21. The basics of Islam and Christianity are so different that it could never have a government that looked the same.
  22. Because there are people who use different colors to divide us into groups so as to control people easier. And when we are fighting each other in the background, we are less likely to be able to fight them.
