    Confession

so if i am correct; (and this has been my experience) it is humbling, and being submissive to our DAD. It takes away the prideful heart. I was raised to be always right, and do nothing wrong, so this was a very hard concept for me to grasp. How can someone love me when I do stupid things? I always strived to do my best and be the best. Because of this I failed and have had the fear of being successful. But Jesus shows me everyday that being successful in HIS eyes are so very different than the world views. Wisdom, thank you  Kay

    Confession

He forgives the first time we ask. Many times we can be the one who keeps picking it up because we don't "feel" forgiven. Which then this leads to self condemnation. Naomi Good point Naomi....This is why we should trust HIS Word (Isaiah 55:11), not our "feelings" (Numbers 23:19). Our personal feelings can deceive us.......GOD won't. (Proverbs 3:5-6....Psalm 32:1-5) ahhh Wisdom, how true That was one of the hardest things for me to learn!
  3. welcome aboard. and I think it is great you boldly claim you are a young woman in CHRIST Love K  :il: an old woman in Christ
  4. for me It is working with developmentally disabled adults; i will soon start a bible study at a local church. Joy? and thankfulness? Working with the population brings a lot of laughter, tears, fears, and acceptance of who we all are in Christ. My concerns and prayer requests are that the general population at large accept the difference all people have in their personalities and ways of looking at things and communicating. I pray that the Lord will open doors for this population so their gifts and talents are used to their full potential. I pray that when we look at each other and see how different each person is made we rejoice in OUR LORD and state boldly; GOD DON"T MAKE JUNK! Love Kay
  5. not to sound holier than thou; but it is remembering to praise the Lord at all times; giving HIM the glory; it sets my whole day and mood. And I just smile and share His love with everyone I cross Love K

  8. I think mine would be trusting others. Interesting enough I wonder if I trust myself if I can't trust others. And I go further in wondering if I trust GOD enough. Which goes to; do I have enough faith. WOW when you get to thinking about it.............

  11. My favorite memories were Christmas at Granny's. SHe always had a real tree and even here in FL she had a fire place. The house was packed with cousins, aunts and uncles. Everyone cooking, decorating the tree that was cut down. Usually a tree top of some sort. And Christmas morning we had to dress up in our best outfits before breakfast and opening the gifts. Love K

    Worship

I think we are to worship 24/7. God called us to worship HIM at all times in all situations. I love the praise and worship songs; but am I not worshipping when I help my neighbor; clients or just paying my bills? I understand where you are coming from but if I understand my bible correctly, we are to worship Jesus in all situations and circumstances. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 And also with Cain and Able; Cain did not bring the best to GOD as God commanded. That is why his offering was unacceptable Love Kay
  13. I was five years old and my mother and her best friend took all of us kids to the beach; not an unusual thing. There were 3 of us and 5 of her friends; a total of 8 kids. We crunched into the big station wagon Well when it was time to go home my mom sent me to the bathroom to find my older sister and 2 others. I got there and they were gone. I ran back to the table where we had our picnic and my mom was gone. I went to where the car was parked and it was gone. Crying, I went back to the table and an older couple was sitting there. They gave me koolaid and half of a sandwich, telling me that they needed to walk to their car and that they would be right back. McDonald's had just opened up (I know it shows my age) and my mom and her friend were doing a count of hamburgers or cheeseburgers. They were one short. SO they called out names and guess who was missing ME Well, needless to say mom turned around and went back to the beach. She came to the table, I was sitting and waiting. I told her about the couple and they were no where to be found. We waited for a few minutes but the older couple never returned. I just LOVED reading all of your encounters. ISN"T GOD GOOD ALL THE TIME! :il:

  16. How true John And Kat thanks for posting this thread. Interesting enough I really had to pray on this one. I think sometimes people want to feel like they are part of the elite of any group they join. My daughter competed in gymnastics nationally. She received a scholarship for college. She was always treated differently. As her mom I was accused of not socializing with all the parents. It cracks me up all I did was drive her to practice; leave to take care of her brothers and pick her up. At the meets the tension is so thick; and most of the time during her jr elite days I couldn't afford to follow her; she traveled nationally. Angie also suffered being stalked by a photographer. She wanted to be just part of her student body after all was done. He college coaches were great in protecting her, as well as, the campus police. This brought back memories of hard days Love Kay

  20. Sometimes, our wants are not HIS wants. The scripture is very clear that we are to delight in HIM and HE will give us the desires of our hearts. I have begged and prayed for things and God told me no. Now looking back in each circumstance I now see why HE did. Love K

I would like to be healed and go back to work. hhhmmm not to be rude :t: BUT DO YOU ASK JESUS TO ATTEND YOUR healing sevices???? He is the one who heals me and I don't go to a service for it When two or more are gathered. Love K
