  2. hmmm another one in Ca now. (and the southern Ca and Mexico just recent ,too) (Wonder is Central Coast or Northern Ca is next) Well, we have been through many here all over Ca, over the years. (However, it is the Cascade Mountain Range that are the most constantly active , in Washington State.) One area in CA. in ancient time, the Chumash Native Americans would not live in because of the earthquakes. Now near that area is the fault that scientists monitor daily. I personally have been through many of the earthquakes. The last one did not shake, however; it rolled like high waves and I was amazed my home was standing afterwards, All thanks to the Precious Lord. † May God have mercy on all who are going though so much all over this world.

Don't let your boyfriend force you to abort, nor fear ,nor money . I been there without money and God will help, trust Him and call upon the Lord who loves you so much. A mother must protect her babies born or not. So must a father or he is not being a father. (food for future thought too I say with love for you) You are not forced to marry a man because of fornication (premaritial sex) but do seek God to stop living in unmarried with a boyfriend and let GOD be your Helper, He is kind to the fatherless, I know that for a fact! Perhaps your boyfriend will come to his senses. How is it that he does not marry you already, ask yourself and talk to God about it and seek help from Church for your life. 10. 2 Timothy Chapter 1 KJV 2Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2Ti 1:2 To Timothy, [my] dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 2Ti 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve from [my] forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; 2Ti 1:4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; 2Ti 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 2Ti 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 2Ti 1:11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 2Ti 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2Ti 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 2Ti 1:14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. 2Ti 1:15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. 2Ti 1:16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: 2Ti 1:17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found [me]. 2Ti 1:18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
  11. In these times when so much the Christian heart cries; we have this to cry for joy of the right to human life from conception to birth and birth to natural death in Mexico!! I cannot help but wonder as The Almighty Giver of life looks down upon us here and our neighbor; what He must be feeling. Our country rich and can afford to support human life will not do so; in contrast this poor country will support human life! †Father have Mercy oh Precious Lord and help us to fight the good fight for Christ and life. For You OH Precious GOD are the Giver Of Life. Thank YOU Precious Jesus our Christ for coming to Your own and though they did not know You; You still died for us all and I pray that many yet will know You before Your return. Please help us to do Your Will not our will Oh LORD our GOD. Have Mercy on us sinners oh God, help us to repent and call upon THE HOLY NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES of JESUS CHRIST that we might be saved and help others to know You Our LORDGOD and Only Saviour. amen † Your Humble Servant and Lover of God in Christ Our Lord † elkieDannsa' Air An Drochaid

  14. This is from the link you provided:[The pope also spoke of the need for a "shared concern in the face of moral relativism and the offences it spawns against the dignity of the human person." "In approaching the most urgent ethical questions of our day, our two communities are challenged to engage people of goodwill at the level of reason, while simultaneously pointing to the religious foundations which best sustain lasting moral values," he said. "May the dialogue that has begun continue to generate ideas on how Christians and Jews can work together to heighten society's appreciation of the distinctive contribution of our religious and ethical traditions." Then the pope reiterated points the Catholic Church has made in recent years. "Today, I have the opportunity to repeat that the Catholic Church is irrevocably committed to the path chosen at the Second Vatican Council [1962-1965] for a genuine and lasting reconciliation between Christians and Jews. As the Declaration Nostra Aetate makes clear, the Church continues to value the spiritual patrimony common to Christians and Jews and desires an ever deeper mutual understanding and respect through biblical and theological studies as well as fraternal dialogues." The pontiff then concluded with a prayer, quoting the Book of Psalms. "I pray that God, who searches our hearts and knows our thoughts, will continue to enlighten us with his wisdom, so that we may follow his commandments to love him with all our heart, soul and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Thank you."] ~~ Do you not understand that the Pope is talking about valuing our truths in common?( Jews and Christians-OT and NT,)and goodwill to work together as people of goodwill, See his reference to "the Declaration Nostra Aetate"*. *Which I posted for understanding it's meaning. It is not a call to stop missions. There is every effort to continue all Catholic missionary work until the Lord returns. In the post you posted it is only in the "title" "not in it's content " that that was ever said. I do not see anyplace the Pope actually said it (infact in the article content I did not see the Rabbi say it either, did you?...). If you want to believe that the Pope should of publicly interrupted a Rabbi (if the Rabbi said that) and again pointed (for a second time) to what he had already pointed out in the Nostra Aetate : it was not only something that would of been rude, it was unnecessary , since the previous already explains his stand. The Pope's visit to the east was purposed in trying to open dialogue and good will, to stop the killing of innocent people by trying to reach the Muslims to recognize we are all made by the same God ,not to kill innocents, and to continue diaglogue and encourage goodwill with the Jews. That is a good thing! I will go by what is actually said by a person and the stand of the Church* and is actually written. Not by another's idea of what someone means. (*...Infact, this interests me. So, I may be contacting the Catholic Church and find out exacting information regarding the visit there on a few subjects, this will be one of them.) However, if you want to believe that the Catholic Church does not plan to continue missions, watch and see: I am sure they will be. In Christ
  15. I had not heard of this man before now. It brings me to tears. Another point, besides discussing if to use a weapon or not tearfully comes to my mind: All of us have sinned and those of us who know Jesus Christ and have accepted His Life on the Cross for ours, do we seek comfort now or to help others for all God has given to us for eternal life? elkie
  16. I think it is important to read what someone really says; not what someone else says they said. (my second post, is also referred to by someone's post and in the original address itself, so I clarified it by quoting it also.) That is the reason for my posts. Let us love one another and look to show and increase love not hatred.
  17. Nostra Aetate Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions The Second Vatican Council Promulgated by His Holiness Pope Paul VI October 28, 1965 Paul, Bishop, Servant of the Servants of God, together with the Fathers of the Sacred Council. For Everlasting Memory. IN OUR TIME, when day by day mankind is being drawn closer together, and the ties between different peoples are becoming stronger, the Church examines more closely her relationship to non-Christian religions. In her tasks of promoting unity and love among men, indeed among nations, she considers above all in this declaration what men have in common and what draws them to fellowship. One is the community of all peoples, one their origin, for God made the whole human race to live over the face of the earth (1). One also is their final goal, God. His providence, His manifestations of goodness, His saving design extend to all men (2), until that time when the elect will be united in the Holy City, the city ablaze with the glory of God, where the nations will walk in His light (3). Men expect from the various religions answers to the unsolved riddles of the human condition, which today, even as in former times, deeply stir the hearts of men: What is man? What is the meaning, the aim of our life? What is moral good, what sin? Whence suffering and what purpose does it serve? Which is the road to true happiness? What are death, judgement and retribution after death? What, finally is the ultimate inexpressible mystery which encompasses our existence: whence do we come, and where are we going? 2. From ancient times down to the present, there is found among various peoples a certain perception of that hidden power which hovers over the course of things and over the events of human history; at times some indeed have come to the recognition of a Supreme Being, or even of a Father. This perception and recognition penetrates their lives with a profound religious sense. Religions, however, that are bound up with an advanced culture have struggled to answer the same questions by means of more refined concepts and a more developed language. Thus in Hinduism, men contemplate the divine mystery and express it through an inexhaustible abundance of myths and through searching philosophical inquiry. They seek freedom from the anguish of our human condition either through ascetical practices or profound meditation or a flight to God with love and trust. Again, Buddhism, in its various forms, realizes the radical insufficiency of this changeable world; it teaches a way by which men, in a devout and confident spirit, may be able either to acquire the state of perfect liberation, or attain, by their own efforts or through higher help, supreme illumination. Likewise, other religions found everywhere try to counter the restlessness of the human heart, each in its own manner, by proposing "ways," comprising teachings, rules of life, and sacred rites. The Catholic Church rejects nothing that is true and holy in these religions. She regards with sincere reverence those ways of conduct and of life, those precepts and teachings which, though differing in many aspects from the ones she holds and sets forth, nonetheless often reflect a ray of that Truth which enlightens all men. Indeed, she proclaims, and ever must proclaim Christ, "the way the truth, and the life" (John 14, 6), in whom men may find the fullness of religious life, in whom God has reconciled all things to Himself (4). The Church therefore, exhorts her sons, that through dialogue and collaboration with the followers of other religions, carried out with prudence and love and in witness to the Christian faith and life, they recognize, preserve and promote the good things, spiritual and moral, as well as the socio-cultural values found among these men. 3. The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself, merciful and all-powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth (5), who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the faith of Islam takes great pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God. Though they do not acknowledge Jesus as God, they revere Him as a prophet. They also honor Mary, His virgin mother; at times they even call on her with devotion. In addition, they await the day of judgement when God will render their deserts to all those who have been raised up from the dead. Finally, they value the moral life and worship God especially through prayer, almsgiving and fasting. Since in the course of centuries not a few quarrels and hostilities have arisen between Christians and Moslems, this Sacred Synod urges all to forget the past and to work sincerely for mutual understanding and to preserve as well as to promote together for the benefit of all mankind social justice and moral welfare, as well as peace and freedom. 4. As the Sacred Synod searches into the mystery of the Church, it remembers the bond that spiritually ties the people of the New Covenant to Abraham's stock. Thus the Church of Christ acknowledges that, according to God's saving design, the beginnings of her faith and her election are found already among the Patriarchs, Moses and the prophets. She professes that all who believe in Christ -- Abraham's sons according to faith (6) -- are included in the same Patriarch's call, and likewise that the salvation of the Church is mysteriously foreshadowed by the chosen people's exodus from the land of bondage. The Church, therefore, cannot forget that she received the revelation of the Old Testament through the people with whom God in His inexpressible mercy concluded the Ancient Covenant. Nor can she forget that she draws sustenance from the root of that well-cultivated olive tree onto which have been grafted the wild shoots, the Gentiles (7). Indeed, the Church believes that by His cross Christ Our Peace reconciled Jews and Gentiles, making both one in Himself (8). The Church keeps ever in mind the words of the Apostle about his kinsmen: "There is the sonship and the glory and the covenants and the law and the worship and the promises; theirs are the fathers and from them is the Christ according to the flesh" (Rom. 8, 4-5), the Son of the Virgin Mary. She also recalls that the Apostles, the Church's main-stay and pillars, as well as most of the early disciples who proclaimed Christ's Gospel to the world, sprang from the Jewish people. As Holy Scripture testifies, Jerusalem did not recognize the time of her visitation (9), nor did the Jews, in large number, accept the Gospel; indeed not a few opposed its spreading (10). Nevertheless God holds the Jews most dear for the sake of their Fathers; He does not repent of the gifts He makes or of the calls He issues -- such is the witness of the Apostle (11). In company with the Prophets and the same Apostle, the Church awaits that day, known to God alone, on which all peoples will address the Lord in a single voice and "serve him shoulder to shoulder" (Soph. 3, 9) (12). Since the spiritual patrimony common to Christians and Jews is thus so great, this Sacred Synod wants to foster and recommend that mutual understanding and respect which is the fruit, above all, of biblical and theological studies as well as fraternal dialogues. True, the Jewish authorities and those who followed their lead pressed for the death of Christ (13); still, what happened in His passion cannot be charged against all the Jews, without distinction, then alive, nor against the Jews of today. Although the Church is the new People of God, the Jews should not be presented as rejected or accursed by God, as if this followed from the Holy Scriptures. All should see to it, then, that in catechetical work or in the preaching of the Word of God they do not teach anything that does not conform to the truth of the Gospel and the spirit of Christ. Furthermore, in her rejection of every persecution against any man, the Church, mindful of the patrimony she shares with the Jews and moved not by political reasons but by the Gospel's spiritual love, decries hatred, persecutions, displays of anti-Semitism, directed against Jews at any time and by anyone. Besides, as the Church has always held and holds now, Christ underwent His passion and death freely, because of the sins of men and out of infinite love, in order that all may reach salvation. It is, therefore, the burden of the Church's preaching to proclaim the cross of Christ as the sign of God's all-embracing love and as the fountain from which every grace flows. 5. We cannot truly call on God, the Father of all, if we refuse to treat in a brotherly way any man, created as he is in the image of God. Man's relation to God the Father and his relation to men his brothers are so linked together that Scripture says: "He who does not love does not know God" (1 John 4, 8). No foundation therefore remains for any theory or practice that leads to discrimination between man and the man or people and people, so far as their human dignity and the rights flowing from it are concerned. The Church reproves, as foreign to the mind of Christ, any discrimination against men or harassment of them because of their race, color, condition of life, or religion. On the contrary, following in the footsteps of the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, this Sacred Synod ardently implores the Christian faithful to "maintain good fellowship among the nations" (1 Peter 2, 12), and, if possible to live for their part in peace with all men (14), so that they many truly be sons of the Father who is in heaven (15). The entire text and all the individual elements which have been set forth in this Declaration have pleased the Fathers. And by the Apostolic power conferred on us by Christ, we, together with the Venerable Fathers, in the Holy Spirit, approve, decree and enact them; and we order that what has been thus enacted in Council be promulgated, to the glory of God. I thank Sephardi Rabbi Shlomo Amar and Ashkenazi Rabbi Yona Metzger for their warm words of welcome and the desire they have expressed to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship which the Catholic Church and the Chief Rabbinate have labored so diligently to forge over the past decades. Your visits to the Vatican in 2003 and 2005 are a sign of the good will which characterizes our developing relations. Distinguished Rabbis, I reciprocate by expressing my own respect and esteem for you and your communities. I assure you of my desire to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation between the Holy See, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and Jewish people throughout the world. A great source of satisfaction for me since the beginning of my pontificate has been the fruit yielded by the ongoing dialogue between the Delegation of the Holy See's Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel's Delegation for Relations with the Catholic Church. I wish to thank the members of both delegations for their dedication and hard work in implementing this initiative, so earnestly desired by my esteemed predecessor Pope John Paul II, as he said during the Great Jubilee Year of 2000. Our encounter today is a most fitting occasion to give thanks to the Almighty for the many blessings which have accompanied the dialogue conducted by the Bilateral Commission, and to look forward with expectation to its future sessions. The willingness of the delegates to discuss openly and patiently not only points of agreement, but also points of difference, has already paved the way to more effective collaboration in public life. Jews and Christians alike are concerned to ensure respect for the sacredness of human life, the centrality of the family, a sound education for the young, and the freedom of religion and conscience for a healthy society. These themes of dialogue represent only the initial phases of what we trust will be a steady, progressive journey towards an enhanced mutual understanding. An indication of the potential of this series of meetings is readily seen in our shared concern in the face of moral relativism and the offences it spawns against the dignity of the human person. In approaching the most urgent ethical questions of our day, our two communities are challenged to engage people of good will at the level of reason, while simultaneously pointing to the religious foundations which best sustain lasting moral values. May the dialogue that has begun continue to generate ideas on how Christians and Jews can work together to heighten society's appreciation of the distinctive contribution of our religious and ethical traditions. Here in Israel, given that Christians constitute only a small portion of the total population, they particularly value opportunities for dialogue with their Jewish neighbors. Trust is undeniably an essential element of effective dialogue. Today I have the opportunity to repeat that the Catholic Church is irrevocably committed to the path chosen at the Second Vatican Council for a genuine and lasting reconciliation between Christians and Jews. As the Declaration Nostra Aetate makes clear, the Church continues to value the spiritual patrimony common to Christians and Jews and desires an ever deeper mutual understanding and respect through biblical and theological studies as well as fraternal dialogues. May the seven Bilateral Commission meetings which have already taken place between the Holy See and the Chief Rabbinate stand as evidence! I am thus grateful for your reciprocal assurance that the relationship between the Catholic Church and the Chief Rabbinate will continue to grow in respect and understanding in the future. My friends, I express again my deep appreciation for the welcome you have extended to me today. I am confident that our friendship will continue to set an example of trust in dialogue for Jews and Christians throughout the world. Looking at the accomplishments achieved thus far, and drawing our inspiration from the Holy Scriptures, we can confidently look forward to even stronger cooperation between our communities -- together with all people of good will -- in decrying hatred and oppression throughout the world. I pray that God, who searches our hearts and knows our thoughts (Ps 139:23), will continue to enlighten us with his wisdom, so that we may follow his commandments to love him with all our heart, soul and strength (cf. Dt 6:5), and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Lev 19:18). Thank you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  19. I wonder, have you talked to a local pastor and had prayers and perhaps he may know of someone in the church (in the area) where you are that would be more suitable? Perhaps an elder woman in the church? I do hope you pray over this and wait on God's Answer. I personally,as a woman, would not stay where any males were staying (married or not!) or where any females were partying as they might bring in males (who also party and perhaps are drunk or dangerous to any girls living there) that would put me in harms way-nor would I stay with non Christians. 23. U.S. Cardinal Backs Pregnant Women Support Act 4/28/2009 Zenit News Agency (www.zenit.org) Pregnant women need our assistance now so that abortion is not promoted to them as their only choice. First, the fact that over a million abortions take place every year in this country is a tragedy, and we should at least take steps to reduce abortions.Second, no woman should ever have to undergo an abortion because she feels she has no other choice, or because alternatives were unavailable or not made known to her. (Justin Cardinal Rigali) First, the fact that over a million abortions take place every year in this country is a tragedy, and we should at least take steps to reduce abortions.Second, no woman should ever have to undergo an abortion because she feels she has no other choice, or because alternatives were unavailable or not made known to her. (Justin Cardinal Rigali) WASHINGTON, D.C. (Zenit) - The chairman of the U.S. bishops' Committee on Pro-Life Activities is appealing to congressmen to back a bill that will provide immediate support for pregnant women and their families. Cardinal Justin Rigali stated this in a letter to all U.S. representatives, urging them to support and co-sponsor the Pregnant Women Support Act, reintroduced into the House on Wednesday by Congressman Lincoln Davis. The letter, sent Friday, noted that "in a society where disagreements on abortions and the rights of the unborn child seem persistent and intractable, there are some statements that almost everyone can endorse." The cardinal continued: "First, the fact that over a million abortions take place every year in this country is a tragedy, and we should at least take steps to reduce abortions. "Second, no woman should ever have to undergo an abortion because she feels she has no other choice, or because alternatives were unavailable or not made known to her. "An abortion performed under such social and economic duress meets no one's standard for 'freedom of choice.'" The letter explained some points of "life-affirming support" provided for pregnant women through this act, including: the elimination of "pregnancy as a 'preexisting condition' that can be used to deny health coverage for women; grants to support centers providing alternatives to abortion; assistance encouraging colleges and universities to provide support for pregnant and parenting students." The act also includes increased support for adoption programs and services for pregnant women at risk from domestic violence. Cardinal Rigali noted that the act will enable states to provide insurance coverage to unborn children and mothers who may not otherwise be eligible. He added that the act "reaches out to women with a helping hand when they are most vulnerable, and most engaged in making a decision about life or death for their unborn children." Common ground The letter continued, "It provides an authentic common ground, an approach that people can embrace regardless of their position on other issues." It pointed out that this act does not raise the issue of "seeking to reduce pregnancies through government promotion of contraceptives, which recently created so much controversy when it was inappropriately proposed for inclusion in an economic stimulus package." "That issue," the cardinal added, "raises serious questions regarding priorities in health care as well as the conscience rights of patients and health care providers, which demand a serious debate of their own." He asserted that "many studies have concluded that programs for ensuring access to contraception do not reduce abortion rates." Cardinal Rigali affirmed that these discussions will continue, but in the meantime, "pregnant women need our assistance now so that abortion is not promoted to them as their only choice."

  25. The lender pays a certain amount and when the home owner or x home owner I should say, passes away, the lender owns the entire house estate and all equity that the lender never paid for. heirs get nothing. Some seniors do this desperate way to have a little income. It is a fraction of what the home is worth that the original owner ever recieves, not a good idea.
