After pondering the question, "Does the Lord does judge the church," I have determined, at least to myself, that the Lord does, in fact, judge both his people as individuals and the Church. 1Cor11:27-32KJV "For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world." This verse is hard to deny to my thinking, but still I can see where it says "chastened that we should not be condemned with the world," could lead one to think of correction, but again, that can only be as an example for correction to those who watched them fall to sleep, as it were. Act5:1-5KJV "But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things." Here we see Ananias and his wife Sapphira are judged by the Lord and died as a result, though for honesty's sake, I can see this to be a correction to the newly beginning Church by this example, but it is definitely a judgment to Ananias and Sapphira since there is not much of a chance for them to correct their behavior, their being dead and all. In Rev2-3NAS Only two of the seven Churches of Asia are without the promise of judgment if they kept on behaving as they were and this is actual Churches who are being promised; Ephesus: Rev2:5NAS "Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first ; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place -unless you repent." Pergamum: Rev2:16NAS "Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth." Thyatira: Rev2:23NAS "And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds." Sardis: Rev3:3NAS "So remember what you have received and heard ; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you." Laodicea: Rev3:15NAS "'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth." 1Pet4:17,18KJV "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" Here we see Peter making it clear that the Lord will not only judge his people and that the judgment for the world begins with us. With this thought in mind, I suspect that: during the great tribulation, we see the burning mountain taking out a third of the world's population, but the King of the North, Gog and Magog who went to Russian area; will be destroyed when they attack Israel; and the King of the East has an army of one million, which China has had for a while now, will meet the King of the West (Europe with its ten nations) making up the anti-christ's King of the West domain; and the King of the South in relation to the location of the other of these Kings seems to me to be North Africa and therefore the Islamic peoples, which is destroyed after the King of the North for also attacking Israel. Not all of the people of Israel will flee to the mountains and will therefore be in Israel proper for the things that must come. The point of this that when the burning mountain hits and takes out a third of the world's population, this population isn't going to come from the Kings of the West, East, North, or the South, it will be from the Americas taking our superpower-ness out of the equation, sadly. So if you want to live to the Rapture (I'm a Mid-triber tentatively, because of 2Thes2:3-7,8NAS Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming," which has to happen by before the middle of the tribulation when the anti-christ reveals himself to the world by committing the abomination of desolation. That which restrains is the Church which was given authority over all the power of the enemy, so that the evil one will be under the authority of the Church if he reveals himself while we are still here with the Holy Spirit who indwells each of us, individually.) Anyway, if you want to survive to the Rapture, if its near the middle of the Tribulation, then you may want to flee to the far North or to maybe, to the North Atlantic countries of Denmark, Switzerland, and Sweden and such being somewhat away from the main action of the anti-christ's domain and try to have some food and water stored with some serious water purification equip that may hopefully work with the polluted third of the world's rivers...IMO!!! I'm guessing it will about 2 years or so from when the meteor hits until the mid-trib-ish Rapture. This theme is also found in the OT, which I suspect is clear to all who have studied the history of Israel and Judah in the OT scriptures, but for one example though; 2Sam24 with verse 17 telling us, "Then David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel who was striking down the people, and said, "Behold, it is I who have sinned, and it is I who have done wrong; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let Your hand be against me and against my father's house."

Jesus is my God and King, my Master and Saviour, my High Priest and big brother, and my friend and companion! Is9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 1Tim6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Rev1:18 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 1Tim1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. Is44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; Heb7:26 For such an High Priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. Is43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Lk3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Heb1:1-4NAS God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. Heb1:6-12 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. Jn1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Jn1:14-17 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Rev1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Rev19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Scripture says, "Teach us to number our days" (Psalms 90:12). God did cut man's life span down to 120 yrs. then down to 80 yrs. now that doesn't mean a person will not live past eighty years but a certain range a span of time. knowing this we should give good heed unto the days we have on earth because none of us has a promise of tomorrow as life is as a vapour. As far as your question goes concerning aborted children whenever I was pondering your words I noticed the thought within your question. Being that God has given each of us a set number of days and when they are up we then die. It was the serpent in the garden that deceived Eve and caused Adam to rebel and from that point death enter into the world and all people from Adam on up to the present has to face death as scripture says,"It is appointed unto man once to die after that the resurrection." God is the giver of life as he sent his only begotten Son into the world that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Death entered into the world through one man sin (disobedience) and sin began to grow and spead throughout the world, and through one man's obedience sumbmission to the cross as the sacrifice for the sins of the world and the gospel began to be spread all throughout the world and by faith salvation began to come to the hearts of men Jesus said he was the way, the truth, and the life. Satan is the cause of death not God that is important as Christ came to give us life. God never, never, ever meant for aborted children to die in any case so in answer to your question it is "NO" (caps for emphasis only). You say, "Does that mean God "MEANT" for aborted children to die/when they did-- that is saying, God approved of all the aborted children to be aborted. Again it is "NO" God never meant for aborted children to die when they did. If God meant aborted children to die when they did then that is saying God condones abortion and murder because that is what abortion is. Also, there are premature deaths dying before your time and all of the aborted children are premature deaths. The lives of the children whose lives were taken through the cruel acts of abortion performed by uncaring murderous doctors but all the aborted children were meant to be born and from an infant they were meant to grow to old age somewhere within the current lifespan. Other example's of premature deaths are that, people die in automobile accidents, plane crashes, falls, physical problems and diseases the list is endless the things that can cause premature deaths. But God never meant these deaths to happen for it is the theif that comes to steal, kill and destroy. Of course I think you know I don't believe God meant it to happen but my only reason for a response to your second question is to point out that all deaths are caused by Satan and not God no matter how death will find us as all deaths are from Satan no matter the life time span. BLESSINGS Hey! Openly Curious... The Lord bless you with himself more and more in Jesus' name. I do not see a 120 year cut to our life spans in scripture but we were cut down to three score and ten years or 70 years with some, by reason of strength, get an additional ten years or 80 years in scripture. Moses lived for 120 years but that was by a special dispensation from the Lord to him alone and even then his eye sight and vitality were never affected by his age even at the 120 year mark... Heb 9:27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment. Deut 30:19 "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live." You give the evil one too much credit. Yes he is come to steal, kill, and destroy, but he isn't able to kill everyone that dies. The Lord created laws of nature and spiritual laws for things to operate in both the natural and spiritual realm. Like you mentioned in your post; Adam sinned and because of his covenant with the Lord, we all must die as we all sin. So the consequences of sin is death. When we choose to sin, then we will die. Sin has three consequences: spiritual, soul-ish, and physical. Take Alcoholism for example: The spiritual consequence of sin is the lake of fire and was taken care of by Jesus for those who turn to him in faith. The soul-ish consequences of this sin is that it destroys relationships and the physical consequence is a ruined liver and an early death. So death was given to us by the Lord as a judgment for sin. Thus the encouragement in Deut 30:19 "to choose life that both you and your seed may live." Also the drunk person can in these modern times, can kill others with their car as they loose control from the effects of their drinking. Another example from Gen 19 is the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah which was done by the angel of the Lord in Judgment for their sin. And again in Egypt, the angel of the Lord killed all of Egypt's first born because Pharaoh resisted the Lord and would not let the Lord's people go. Ps90:7-12 "For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. 8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. 9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. 10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Rev19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. Even in the verse you quoted, Ps90:12 we number our days to learn wisdom or the Lord will make our days to pass away in his wrath because of our sin.

The Great Tribulation sees the evil men of the world killed in event after event, ie... with the trumpet judgments, and then the bowl judgments, and then the vial judgments. Not much correction going on when the people of the world are dying as a result for there is no way for the dead to correct their behavior. Those who turn to the Lord during this time are being martyered by the anti-christ. In fact, the second coming of the Lord is compared to the days of Noah when the flood destroyed the whole world except for the 8 persons who entered the Ark. As for the Jewish people, the Lord gave them a way out in scripture by telling them to flee to the mountains and to not even go back to their homes 1st. The Lord will not give them a place to flee to and at the same time destroy them there. The Lord knows that the Jewish people will turn to the Messiah as a nation when Jesus returns to the Earth and they regain the land promised to them family by family as promised by the Lord. Jesus' return will be a 1000 years of jubele for Israel! This last statement is not a scripture, just my opinion. You might try websters dictionary to look up the word tribulation, there is no mention of correction in the meaning of the word itself.

Chain letters are rubbish and to be avoided as, at the least, this one is a "pseudo-spiritual" request. It is of the world and therefore worldly. Emotional poignancy does not equal Spirituality. But your headline, **Should We Be Guilted In Our Faith?** should be a true statement for the growing believer! Rom12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" and we do this as Paul tells us in Eph5:26 "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." Or as Peter tells us in 1Pet2:2 "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby." Or again in 2Tim3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" Or finally in Ps119:11 "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." and Ps119:9 "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word." ..The point of this post is that the Lord uses his word that we put into our minds to renew our consciences, so that little by little we perceive sin more and more as the Lord himself does. This means that the things that we once delighted in can become points of conviction as we are changed on the inside or as our consciences are being renewed. By resisting the temptation of that same old sin which is referred to in Heb 12:1 we grow stronger at resisting by resisting it. Take Jam1:13,14 " Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. We see that the first step in being tempted is by being drawn away from the Lord's presence in our minds, then our own lust entices us again in our minds and if we give in, it gives birth to sin and sin when it is finished brings forth death which has been dealt with by Jesus for those who are born of the Spirit. ..If we keep filling our minds with the Lord's word and are still unable to resist the sin that the Lord is dealing with us about, then the Holy Spirit will use the knowledge of the torment, our own guilt puts us through when we give into the temptation of that sin, to set us free from the craving for it. This guilt will continue to grow in the thing that the Lord is working on in us because the word of the Lord is more powerful than our sin, its more powerful than the world, more powerful than the evil one, it is even more powerful that our own consciences, so that we will even be able to forgive ourselves in the thing that we allowed. That's why the scripture is as Heb4:12 tells us, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Guilt can cut in two directions as we see in 2Cor7:10 "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." We see in the sorrow of the world, a guilt such as Judas had that led him to kill himself rather than turn to the Lord in repentance and be forgiven both by the Lord and also by himself. Sadly, in Jn3:19 we see that "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." ..The Lord has given to us the tools that when used enables us to resist temptation effectively because as 2Cor10:4,5 tells us "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." We see that these strongholds are in our minds and refer to our enslavement to sin or our addictive behavior as seen in Jn8:34 "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." ..So we are encouraged by scripture in Gal5:1 to "stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. And again in Phil3:16NAS " however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained. To sum this up; Rom8:6NAS "For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace." And Jesus said, by quoting scripture that he had previously memorized; Lk4:4 "it is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." And in Jn6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

Prove it, line upon line and precept upon precept, please. Does God bring the Great Tribulation or does He merely allow it? Re 12:12 ¶ Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Is the Great Tribulation the same as Gods Wrath? I'm not challenging you. I'm asking for clarity. Peace, Dave I believe that God will both bring and allow the great tribulation. He will bring great tribulation to the unbeliever and allows it where the saints are concerned. No matter what one believes pre or mid tribulation there will be saint here on earth during the great tribulation. So with that in mind it is my belief that God through that great tribulation will also seperate the men from the boys (so to speak) because only those Christians who endure to the end will recieve the reward. As for Jeremiah 30:11 I don't think this verse has anything to do with the great tribulation and I base that on the fact that this verse says nothing at all about any great tribulation with regards to Isreal being punished by it. Not in the preceeding verses nor in the following verses but it is a prophecy about the future of Isreal. I don't believe that the great tribulation is for the punishment of Isreal at all but I do believe it is to do the same thing that God has done to Isreal from the beginning. By showing great signs and wonders God has always glorified himself in an effort to turn the heads of Isreal. Will Isreal be punished? Yes! Isreal will be in charge of cleaning up the mess left behind by Armageddon. They will have to go out and burn all of the weapons and bury all of the stinking rotting dead bodies left from the battle. When Jesus returns during the battle of Armageddon with a Sword in his mouth, he will destroy those who are of the evil one and will while they are yet standing have the eyes consumed in their holes and the tongues consumed in their mouths, ie... no mess to clean up. Then, like after the flood, only the mortal faithful will be left to repopulate the Earth with Jesus ruling from Jerusalem on the throne of David. The Great Tribulation such as the world has never known nor never will know is a judgment from the Lord, as the four horsemen of the apocalypse are angles and then there are the trumpet judgments and then the bowl judgments and finally the vial judgments to be poured out upon the Earth also by angels. Except those days be shortened there shall no flesh survive. So the Tribulation is shortened somewhat to allow those who have turned to Jesus during this time to survive and continue procreating mankind, who will be ruled over by Jesus and the Church which will return with him. Mortal mankind will be ruled over by the Lord Jesus and the Church, whose incorruptible and immortal members will, I suspect, be the preachers and the police and the judges, who will go by the intent of the law-breakers heart during the millennium reign of our great King, Jesus. I also suspect that there will be no more serial killers or habitual criminals as judgment will come swiftly after the first offense. So, Jesus will both rule from Jerusalem and at the same time, he will be with us alway, even unto the end of the world. Philip was translated from one place to another after talking with the eunuch from Ethiopia, so I also suspect that we will with a thought instantly travel to Jesus or anyplace on the Earth or elsewhere in all of creation for that matter and our thoughts will as always be available to the Lord and his thoughts will now be available to us; like telepathy. Jesus come quickly, in Jesus' name.

..We can overcome respecting the one who is rich or beautiful or smart or desired over others by preferring each person that we meet in life as being more important that ourselves. For example: a man's home is his castle... But after the Lord, it is our family members who are our first priority to serve, just as Jesus served the Church by giving his life for it. The wife isn't supposed to bring the slippers and supper after the day's work, but rather each should serve the other as the need arises. Also, while I am at it, it is not the husband's right or duty to discipline his wife, even though the scripture tells the wife to obey her husband, as that is for the Lord to convict according to his own will in due season, just as he does in each one us who belong to him. Then we can add serving others to the serving of our own families. ..To stop the respecting of one person above another in a congregation will require revival and "Revival spreads from one who is on fire for the Lord!" Just as a forest fire can begin with one match, so too revival, which can begin with one person who commits to filling their mind with the Lord's word and then walking in moral obedience to that word. Btw... In Rom12:2: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God," and in Eph5:26 "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word," and especially in Phil2:13 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure," we see that the desire and the ability to obey the word of God is also contained within the scripture itself by the ministry of the Holy Spirit who loves us like he does Jesus and uses the passages that we put into our minds to transform us into Jesus' moral image, "here a little, and there a little." This is also seen in 2Pet1:3,4 too "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." Then in 1Jn3:20-23, "For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight," we see the importance of moral obedience and the clear conscience that is its result. For one might say that a clear conscience empowers full power faith. Then add to your growing moral excellence the prayer of faith regarding this issue because Jam5:16b "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." To obtain your answer, make your prayer request a prayer project like the parable of the widow and the unjust magistrate; wear the Lord down by your continual coming before him regarding the object of your request. The more heart-felt your prayer, the more favorably it will be received by the Lord, since the Lord wants us to want his blessings fervently. ..Now as far as respecting another or showing honor to another; we are to show respect to whom respect is due and honor to whom honor is due, both within and without the Church. This is based upon that person's position or on their own accomplishments and this attitude actually belongs to those who do regard others as being more important than themselves.

What are the evidence of ones salvation
glf replied to He giveth more grace's topic in General Discussion
2Cor13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" Gal5:22,23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." 2Pet1:3-13 "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance." Since we are unable to actually look into another's heart and see their faith or ours or even the Holy Spirit who indwells those who have been born of the Spirit. We look to the fruits of the Spirit to see Christ in them. Signs and wonders can be counterfeited like Pharaoh's court magicians who threw down their staffs which then, turned into snakes by the evil one's ability. The fruits of the Spirit are grown by abiding in the vine or in Jesus' word. For the faithful, maturity is a part of walking in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit is how we fulfill that the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power and these signs(Mk16:17-20) shall follow them that believe. The gift of the Spirit is given to each one to profit with-all, but the gifts operate by faith and so, to not believe in one's gift, whatever it is, is to not use it. Fluency comes through use and then those who use their lesser gifts are to pray for better gifts. In fact, Paul tells us to desire the best gifts. Such is the signs of our times, sadly; when except there is a falling away, the end shall not come. Where Jesus himself asked, "when I return, will I find faith upon the Earth?" Let's practice a little self-sacrifice and put down all of our entertainments and study, filling our minds with the word of God and make a daily prayer list to take to the Lord, a habit. Even a quick mention can make a huge difference as we can see in 1Jn5:16,17: "If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death." That's life being given to one of the brethren because of a prayer from one who would stand in the gap for those who are perishing. If life can come from a quick emotionless prayer, imagine the Lord's delight to move in an area of need at the fervent prayer of one who adds fasting to their prayer of faith. -
The Holy Spirit has the attributes of a person, not a force
glf replied to SoGrateful's topic in Theology
The Holy Spirit is a person rather than a force and this is evident in the Trinity. I would have started my response with a quote, but it has already been used by FresnoJoe. In it Mt3:16,17 we see our Father speaking from heaven, while the Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove, alights upon Jesus, and Jesus himself is present being baptized. All three persons of the Lord making a physical manifestation in the same place and the same time! When Jesus cried, "My God. My God. Why hast thou forsaken me?" we see both the Father and the Holy Spirit had cut Jesus off, forsaking him because of our sin. The idea in the Hebrew at the garden of Eden, when the Lord commanded Adam not to eat for *in dying thou shalt surely die.* This inner death or separation of God's Spirit at the moment Adam did eat, led to his body's death later on. So too for Jesus. His dying a mere physical death that each of us must also do, would have accomplished nothing for the Lord of glory, who was, is, and will always be the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega. The judgment Jesus received on our behalf would have to satisfy the Lord's sense of justice in order to cancel out torment day and night forever and ever. Jesus was himself an infinite being and able to suffer infinitely for us; but since we are finite beings, we cannot suffer infinitely so we must suffer for infinity. 2Cor5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." This is the greatest miracle in all of eternity and not only was Jesus cut off from the Lord by our sin, but he, in himself remained holy as he was judged in our place. Jesus shows us his choice in the matter in; Jn10:18 "No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father." And we see Jesus' heart in Heb12:10 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." His joy was in making all of us to be one with the Lord forever. Jesus come quickly! Btw... the second greatest miracle in eternity will also be done by the Lord upon himself when he will remember our sin no more. So we see that if Jesus and the Father are a single individual working in different roles, then according to Jn17, we will loose our own individual identities as we are joined with the Lord in eternity. Jn17:21-23 "that they may all be one: even as Thou, Father, art in Me and I in thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me. And the glory which Thou hast given Me, I have given to them; that they may be one as We are one. I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, that the world may know that Thou didst send Me and didst love them, even as Thou didst loved Me." So, either the Lord is three persons and we will be individuals when we're one with the Lord in eternity or we'll have our personalities merged into his oneness if the Lord is Jesus only. Either way one believes though, in 1Jn2:23 "Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." -
Yes Neb... Sin has three consequences... Spiritual that Jesus has to take care of by his sacrifice of love. then there is soulish and physical consequences. Take alcoholism for exp, the spiritual is like all other sins or requires Jesus to deal with. The soulish consequences are destroyed family relationships and the loss of old friends and a new class of friends from the bar and legal consequences. and the Physical consequence which is a ruined liver that could kill the body, if no miracle is available.

1Cor14:27,28KJV If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 1Cor14:32NAS And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. I would have to say that they do have control because of the above passage. But, at the least, they should be able to speak to themselves and God. I can picture the unction being so great that it could be very hard to control, but the functioning of the gift is still under their control or else how can they keep silent if there is no interpreter present at that particular service. If its possible and convenient; go to one of the speakers of tongues in the Church and ask if they could stop speaking during their gift's functioning, I would be curious of the answer... I take it you don't know that it is an intercessory prayer until after the interpretation?

Gen15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying , Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. 2Cor1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 1Cor3:10-15 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid , which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. So we see that the Lord himself is our exceedingly great reward. Other points of reward will be the closeness to the Lord we achieved while in this life and the works accomplished through the Spirit and one other... On a Bright day in New Jerusalem as the Lord shines upon us, one will come up to you on the banks of the river of life and say, "I was spending some time with Jesus the other day and he told me that he used you to bring me to himself. It was your work that nurtured a seed another planted and I turned to the Lord. Thank you! I am here, HERE because of you! Thank you! Praise the Lord for you both now and forever and ever in Jesus' name!"

Amen Eleanor! Forgiveness is a choice, not an emotion! Our emotions are like the caboose of a train. Once the engine of choice makes that turn to go in another direction, it takes the caboose time to reach the bend in the track and begin following the engine. We as humans are resistant to change. As was mentioned before, forgiveness is not the same as trust. A wise man foresees danger and flees, so there is no way one should trust the untrustworthy. In fact, trust has to be earned which requires a relationship with such a one and that IMO should be avoided in this particular case as you are the on who has to be responsible for the young ones under your care and charge. As far as the lie detector test... My step brother is a habitual liar and will tell a lie even when the truth will work better. He went into a security guard Co and took their lie detector test and passed with flying colors as he pictured himself riding a motorcycle with the wind in his hair during the questions that he should have failed. They asked him if he did drugs and he said, "never," on the test, but he has done it all and used hard drugs regularly at that time. They hired him and he would walk his beat in some company yard area practicing fast draws with the guns that they gave him while at the same time being as high as a kite. IMO he was just looking for someone to shoot, Yiikes! He bragged about this to me after after... The temptation is to hate someone who hurts our loved ones, especially when they are innocent and it is very hard to stop that kind of thing in our own strength. Jesus resisted temptation by quoting scripture that he had memorized beforehand. Fill you mind with the Lord's word, like in Josh 1:8 and memorize any verses that seem to apply to your situation when you come across them in your daily devotions in the word as the Holy Spirit wants you to be free of this too and He will make some passages that will be effective for this issue to come alive in your heart and mind. Make yourself like the widow who kept going before the unjust magistrate who kept sending her away, until he said to himself, "even though I care not for the law or the Lord, I will avenge her of her enemy because her continual coming weareth me down." One good thing in this is that it will be easy for you to make your prayers fervent which is important to the Lord. He wants us to want to. Jesus will use his word to cleanse you and to sanctify you and his heart's desire is for you to be free of this evil blot on your happiness and make the peace that passes all understanding to keep your heart and mind in him. The Lord is the God of long-suffering patience and he loves you just as much as he loves Jesus or himself. Recovery after an emotional trauma is so so hard and the Lord knows it and will work with you at your own pace with love, compassion, and mercy. By his stripes you are healed and by his burses you are made whole. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving(looking to the resolution according to his will) make your requests known to God and the peace that passes all understanding will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. After you are set free the Lord will use you to comfort others with the same comfort that he has given to you! so that all things will work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. Hallowed Father full of love and light, hold Stacey close to your heart and take her eyes off of the hurt and set them onto Jesus revealing to her heart the power of his love and grace as seen in his sacrifice of love. Make your word to be the power of your might to her heart and mind and transform her by renewing her mind into the image of Jesus as you have predestinated her to be. Heal her in Jesus' name. Show her the light at the end of the tunnel even now with the hope of victory that belongs to you. Harkin unto her prayers and give her favor with yourself. Magnify your name in her and bless her with a double portion of your presence to go before her and follow after. Lord use Stacey to minister your Spirit to others, starting with her own family and spreading out from there to those who cross her path. Share your heart with her so that she may love others in response to your love for her. Increase her faith, more and more, that she may walk in the Spirit full of the Holy Spirit and power in Jesus' name.

Iranian pastor facing death and God's passiveness
glf replied to LCE635's topic in General Discussion
2Cor1:5-11 For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. 6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; 7 and our hope for you is firmly grounded, knowing that as you are sharers of our sufferings, so also you are sharers of our comfort. 8 For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; 9 indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; 10 who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us, 11 you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many. Col1:24,25 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions. 25 Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, We are called to suffer for his name's sake as all those who will live godly lives in this world will suffer persecution and yes, for some of us, to even to be put to death by unprincipled men, for if we suffer with him we shall also reign with him. I am not saying this to make light of this man's fearful plight, but to show that at times, we are called upon by the Lord to even die; just as many of those who have gone before us have also done. For example, take Peter, who was locked in jail with a death sentence upon him and the prayers of many made upon his behalf resulted in his angelic release which led many of that time to rejoice before the Lord in praise and adulation. And even though he was released that time, later we see that he was still called upon by the Lord to die for the name of our Lord and savior Jesus; who revealed it to him beforehand. Thus we're all counted as sheep for the slaughter. Jesus come quickly! The prayer of faith by the many will move the Lord to set this man free and if not, he will receive a crown and rule with the Lord forever as those who judged him, will burn in eternity for the evil that they perpetrated upon one of the Lord's anointed servants. Precious Father, full of might and power, bless this Pastor in Iran with your presence and give him favor with yourself. Take away any fear or agony of pain that he may be suffering at the hands of hardened men who serve the evil one and give him that peace that passes all understanding and a joy unspeakable and full of glory as he refuses to renounce his faith in Jesus our hope of life eternal. Harkin unto the prayers of the faithful who are touched by this man's plight and move according to your love. Make your grace to be sufficient to him in this his hour of peril. Make an example of those who use lies to attack this man of God, not to punish them, but make their error apparent to the whole world. Gather his family to yourself also giving them that peace beyond understanding and restore this godly man to them or if it is not to be, make yourself their Father and Husband. Lord, increase this man's faith in this time of trial and make his prayers to be both effectual and powerful in the Spirit granting him his requests quickly. Use this situation to lift up Jesus to the people of Iran and put in their hearts an understanding of your grace and love. Reveal to them the error of Islam and make who they are really serving apparent. Magnify your name and inspire us to expect a miracle. In Jesus' name. Amen or so be it! Jesus come quickly! -
The Spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet. As far as tongues goes, the speaker controls when to speak and when not to speak. He controls how loud to speak or to whisper or even to sub-vocalize it. Tongues operates by faith as do all of the gifts of the Spirit. Paul tells us of himself, I thank God that I speak in tongues more than you all, but in the Church I would prefer speak 10 words that they can understand rather than 10,000 in an unknown language. So, yes in the Church; only have two or at the most three and then only if there is an interpreter. Outside of the Church service, tongues is just a tool that enables one to edify their Spirit in the Lord, but their understand is unaffected. Tongues is a gift given of the Lord as he will and does not show either spirituality nor maturity. It is just a tool that if used works in the person who speaks for growth or if you prefer "for edification." If you speak in an unknown tongue, then that one should pray that the Lord give the gift of prophecy. So we are able to operate in more than one gift. its almost like we start small and as our faith and fluency increase in the gift given by the Lord at first; we should press onward and upward and seek the better gifts. The Lord delights in answering the prayer of faith, especially when we use it to serve others! So, forbid not to speak in tongues, but earnestly desire the better gifts. We all do not have the gift of tongues, but we should stir up the gift that is within us, whatever it may be... 1Cor14:1,2NAS Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 2 For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries. 1Cor14:4NAS One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church. 1Cor14:5,5NAS Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy; and greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying. 6 But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking in tongues, what will I profit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation or of knowledge or of prophecy or of teaching. 1Cor14:10,11NAS There are, perhaps, a great many kinds of languages in the world, and no kind is without meaning. 11 If then I do not know the meaning of the language, I will be to the one who speaks a barbarian, and the one who speaks will be a barbarian to me. 1Cor13:1NAS If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1Cor14:14NAS For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also. 16 Otherwise if you bless in the spirit only, how will the one who fills the place of the ungifted say the "Amen " at your giving of thanks, since he does not know what you are saying ? 17 For you are giving thanks well enough, but the other person is not edified. 1Cor14:18,19NAS I thank God, I speak in tongues more than you all; 19 however, in the church I desire to speak five words with my mind so that I may instruct others also, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue. 1Cor14:22,23NAS So then tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophecy is for a sign, not to unbelievers but to those who believe. 23 Therefore if the whole church assembles together and all speak in tongues, and ungifted men or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are mad? 1Cor14:28NAS but if there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself and to God. 1Cor14:37-40NAS If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are the Lord's commandment. 38 But if anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized. 39 Therefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues. 40 But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner. 1Cor12:30,31 NAS All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? 31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way. Rom12:6NAS Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith. Rom11:29NAS for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Heb2:4NAS God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will. 1Cor1:7NAS so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 1Pet4:10NAS As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Where is the evidence that Satan fell BEFORE Creation?
glf replied to Bold Believer's topic in Theology
Gen1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The hebrew word choice here tells us that the Earth was created ready to be inhabited. Gen1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The hebrew word for was is also used for became. It is in context that one finds which to use, except that here it can work either way... Now compare the similar word order in this next passage with Gen1:2 Jer4:23-26 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. From Adam to the end of the millennium, there is man upon the Earth. Yet, here we see cities broken down by the Lord's anger and there is no man? Also we see that there is no sun as yet. This is because the Lord walked among them before there was sin. In Rev21, 22; we see that there will again be no sun shinning upon the New Earth as the Lord is the light of the world, just as he was for the mortal men-like beings who became angels or demons. Again compare the similar word order between Jer4 and Is14 as seen in the following; world as a wilderness = fruitful place was a wilderness or cities broken down = destroyed the cities thereof. We also see that the evil one is in fact, a ghost... Is14:12-20 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? 18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. 19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. 20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. This is called the Gap theory, meaning that there is an undetermined gap of time between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 -
Not only is the Lord everywhere present and nowhere absent, but he is also every-when present and no-when absent. Thus time is also a created thing and the Lord sees it all stretched out before him. So that from the Lord's perspective; right now he is with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, right now he is here with us, and right now he is at the great white throne judgment. Ex3:14 And God said unto Moses, I am that I am: and he said , Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I am hath sent me unto you. Or take Jesus who said, before Abraham was, I am. Or in Ps90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth , or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Present tense is used here from the past to the future. 2Pet3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Interesting verse... that shows the Lord's sense of time is completely different than our own. If he does live outside of time, then this shows us a glimpse of that difference or if he, like us, lives within time, then btw... From Adam to the Flood was almost 2000 years and then from the flood to Jesus was 2000 years and then from Jesus to now is about 2000 years and then add the 1000 years of the millennium and we see 7000 for the time of humanity upon the Earth, which according to the previous verse equals about a week for the Lord. But the Lord knows the end from the beginning not because he predestinates it or predicts it, but because he sees it. So that each of our lives are determined by our own choices weather for good or evil and yet the Lord incorporates our lives based upon our own choices into his plan for the ages much like a tapestry where the individual threads are individual lives and yet the tapestry of human events follows the Lord's direction. Add to this, The Fervent effectual prayers of a righteous man availeth much, and we see that we have the Lord's ear and that he delights in moving on our behalf when asked via the prayer of faith to change that person's situation and therefore his future. Deut30:19 KJV I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. And in Gal6:8KJV For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And again in Jam 1:13-15KJV Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. When we choose evil, then either ourselves or others will suffer. For the Lord to stop that from happening, then he would have to force events and men will not longer be allowed to choose evil and therefore we might as well be like rocks and be forced to praise the Lord. For example, say you see another and are attracted to that one, you get a needle of sodium pentothal inject it into that one and then say, "you love me." No answer, so you say, "say, I love you." the other then says, "I love you." "Ok walk with me," you say and off you both go. Is this love? Never! Or do you introduce yourself to the other one and after they get to know you, they say, "I love you because I want to." Now that is love and it means something since the other person wants you verses being forced into a particular behavior. So too with the Lord, his desire is for us to want him because we choose to on our own. Therefore we are predestined to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ and at the same time, our futures are determined by our own choices and all the while the Lord's plan for the ages proceeds to fulfillment. The Lord loves all of us, especially the little babies, but to keep them from being harmed by evil, the Lord will have to take away our ability to make our own choices and we will become free from sin since we are being forced to do as we do in that case.

Hey! Gerda... Praise the Lord both now and forever, in the name of Jesus, our God and King! The power of the Lord's word is that when we take the time to put it into our minds, the Holy Spirit will illuminate it, here a little and there a little. This illumination does many things; like making the words we read to be Jesus to us, Spirit to spirit, so that we learn to know him better and better just like anyone else that we might spend the time with. The Holy Spirit also uses the scriptures to give us faith or the power to both believe the Lord's word and also the power to act upon that belief. The Holy Will also use the word that you put into your mind to purify your conscience, also little by little. So that the things that you once delighted in become points of conviction and our consciences are purified and we more and more see sin as the Lord does. So as we are in the process of being transformed by the renewing of our minds, and we give in to a particular temptation, the guilt that we feel will continue to grow until, if we are stubborn and yet stay in God's word, finally the Holy Spirit will use the knowledge of how miserable we will be will give us the power to say no. You may stumble again, but the guilt will continue to grow and grow as we stay in the word of the Lord. Then of course the Lord will move on to the next area in our lives and begin working on us there. Once all the outward sins that are easy to notice are dealt with, the Lord will begin working on our attitudes. It is about this time in our walk that we begin to feel a joy unspeakable and full of glory, where you will search for songs to sing to the Lord in joy with to express it. It is also about here that if one is out of fellowship with a local church, one will begin to search for one and then the candle light of your praise to the Lord will be made into a bonfire. Our emotions are like the caboose of a train. It will not change directions right away, but will eventually turn to follow the engine of our choices. So do not go by feelings, but rather stick to the godly choice made from reason and the emotions will line up after some time as we humans are resistant to change. Those whom he foreknew, he did also predestinate to be conformed to the image of Christ Jesus. That he(Jesus) may cleanse it(Church) by the washing of water with the word. 2Pet1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises that we might be made partakers of the divine nature having escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. there is a sorrow after the world that leads to death and there is a godly sorrow that leads to a repentance not to be repented of. Come out from among them and touch not the unclean thing. Bad company corrupts good morals. Holy Father, full of life and love, gather Gerda into your arms and take charge of this situation in her life. make your word to be the power of your might to her heart and mind and use it to set her free. Reveal yourself to her and give her a vision to follow you in service. Share your heart with her and show her the love that you have for us all. Magnify your name in her and give her a growth in the Spirit so that she can praise your name in Spirit and in truth in Jesus' name. Amen.

Zeph 3:17KJV The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty. He will save. He will rejoice over thee with joy. He will rest in his love. He will joy over the with singing. I imagine the throne room in New Jerusalem, the eternal city of light, to be large enough to hold both the angelic host and the faithful of mankind. I picture the Lord singing his song of joy to us as we rejoice in his presence. Jesus come quickly!!! The evil one knows in a way that we never will while in these earthly bodies, how the Lord delights in our praises and makes his presence known from when he lead the angelic host in the praise and worship of the Lord before his fall. So, when we are being attacked or tempted by the evil one, just praise the Lord and before too long the torment of the Lord's glory and presence will make the evil one remember he was supposed to be elsewhere and then he will flee. I should add here that Jesus resisted temptation by quoting scripture that he had memorized beforehand. So that praise and the applicable scriptures are more powerful than any enemy. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto his name. From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, the Lord's name is to be praised. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart and I will enter his courts with praise. I will say, this is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice for he has made me glad. Praise the Lord in the name of Jesus, our God and King!!!

1Cor13:1KJV Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Tongues sounds like non-sense syllables to the speaker and as far as writing it down, it would have to be a total guess as far as which letters to use...
