  1. Christian marriage is a three way relationship. Husband , Wife and God. QUOTE Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Men and women who marry in Christ share a mutual trust. They can be sure of their relationship because it rests on God's covenantal faithfulness. They also know that through His Word of marriage, God brought them together and keeps them together. James H. Olthuis Choosing to love means: # I choose to Love my husband/wife # I choose to be patient with my mate # I choose to be kind to my mate # I choose to please my mate # I choose to forgive my mate # I choose to honor my mate # I choose to trust my mate # I choose to be understanding to my mate # I choose to grow with my mate # I choose to encourage my mate # I choose to help my mate # I choose to be truthful to my mate # I choose to be faithful to my mate # I choose to be unselfish with my mate # I choose to be hopeful with my mate # I choose to speak in love to my mate # I choose to be my spouse's mate the rest of my life! Even a Christian marriage needs to be worked at, I know that, we have had our stormy times , but we are now twenty-four years down the line. Gulp, I've got a Silver wedding ahead. Help, it makes me feel old. Should a wife submit to her husband if he is going against Scripture. I do'nt think so. Husbands love your wives- love, cherish, respect Wives submit to your husbands- the husband is the head of the household in the Lord. We are to love and respect one another. That is my worth on this. have been married for twenty four years now, and yes even Christian marriages have their bad patches,I am no expert, we have had our problems over the years but we still love each other and still love God, and you know sometimes God uses the trials and tribulations we face through life to bring us closer together. Marriage is the union of two lives, possibly from very seperate backgrounds Gen 2:18 And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. Marriage is desired by God, although it is not for everybody. The weddiing day is a day of love's consumation.. Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. I always find that powerful- to become as one flesh, by cleaving together. Two totally different people have become as one through the bond of marriage. Personalities may clash, there may be a lot of independant thinking, so how do we overcome those things? As Christians we have the Holy Spirt indwelling us, so we have a bond assuming we are not unequally yoked that surpasses the bonds of human flesh. If we focus first on the Lord and pray together and are ready to share things with each other and take heed to observe what the Lord would have us do, the relationship can only become stronger. Eph 5:22 Wives, be in subjection unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body. Eph 5:24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything. Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; Eph 5:26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, Stephen Olford stated the ideal marriage is desired by God, determined by God and defended by God. Mat 19:4 And he answered and said, Have ye not read, that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, Mat 19:5 and said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? Mat 19:6 So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. A strong marriage is built on love, mutual trust and respect. I am not suggesting that couples should stay together when differences are irreconcilable . I am just giving heed to what the Bible says our marriages should be. My husband and I have not had it all plain sailing, but you not what problems have occured when one or both of us have taken our eyes off the Lord. Firstly and foremost anyone contemplating marriage should marry a fellow Christian. They should not be unequally yoked. Now I know there are some of you who have become Christians after marriage but that is an entirely different situation. 2Co 6:14 Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness? Basically that is advice for anyone currently contemplating marriage and or even courtship.
  2. ASSURANCE . I hope this study blesses you. I pray that all of you may know the true meaning of having Assurance. When doubts come your way look at those verses and cling to them, thank God for his promises. a-shoor
  3. I would say we have to realise that every year that goes by, every day that time is getting closer. We are told when we see those things happening to look up! I for one am looking up. Israel has been back in the land since 1947. That alone says a lot.
  4. THe signs of the times tell us the rapture will be soon, but we can't date set. Irene

Hi Arkon, it would seem to me Steff that Arkon has included a number of references in this article Irene
  7. Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry) Colossians.3:5 New Revised Standard Version. Exo 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's. Greed is just as much a sin as fornication and idoitary, I find that interesting Do we really desire riches in this present world, are things like idols to us? Where should we store up our treasures? Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: Mat 6:20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: Where are we to lay up our treasures? So how do we lay up treasures in heaven? Seek God first. Mat 6:33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  8. OLD TESTAMENT PROPHESIES CONCERNING JESUS Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, the Old Testament revealed the following. 1) He would be of the tribe of Judah Genesiis 48:9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. 2) He would be born in Bethlehem.. Mic 5:2 And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you being least among the thousands of Judah, out of you He shall come forth to Me, to become Ruler in Israel, He whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity. Mic 5:3 Therefore He will give them over until the time the one giving birth has given birth; then the rest of His brothers shall return to the sons of Israel. Mic 5:4 And He shall stand and feed in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah His God. And they shall sit, for now He shall be great to the ends of the earth 3) He would be born of a virgin. Isa 7:14 So, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel. 4) He would be called out of Egypt. Hos 11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him and called My son out of Egypt. 5) He would come as a prophet.. Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, one like you, and will put My words in His mouth. And He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. Deu 18:19 And it shall happen, whatever man will not listen to My Words which He shall speak in My name, I will require it of him. 6) His own people would reject Him. Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not. 7) He would make a truimhant entry into Jerusalem. Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your King comes to you. He is righteous and victorious, meek and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass. 8) He woiuld be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver. . Zec 11:12 And I said to them, If it is good, give My price; and if not, let it go. So they weighed My price thirty pieces of silver. Zec 11:13 And Jehovah said to me, Throw it to the potter, the magnificent price at which I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of Jehovah. 9) He would be put to death by crucifixion. Psa 22:1 To the Chief Musician, on the deer of the dawn. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, and are far from my deliverance, and from the words of my groaning? Psa 22:2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the night, and am not silent. Psa 22:3 But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. Psa 22:4 Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them. Psa 22:5 They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed. Psa 22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people. Psa 22:7 All who see Me mock me; they shoot out the lip; they shake the head, saying, Psa 22:8 He trusted on Jehovah; let Him deliver Him; let Him rescue Him, since He delights in Him! Psa 22:9 For You are He who took Me out of the womb, causing Me to trust while on My mother's breasts. Psa 22:10 I was cast on You from the womb; You are My God from My mother's belly. Psa 22:11 Be not far from Me; for trouble is near, for there is none to help. Psa 22:12 Many bulls have circled around Me; strong bulls Of Bashan have surrounded Me. Psa 22:13 They opened wide their mouths on Me, like a ripping and a roaring lion. Psa 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all My bones are spread apart; My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels. Psa 22:15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws; Psa 22:16 and You have brought Me into the dust of death. For dogs have circled around Me; the band of spoilers have hemmed Me in, piercers of My hands and My feet. Psa 22:17 I can count all My bones; they look and stare at Me. Psa 22:18 They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing. Psa 22:19 But You, O Jehovah, be not far from Me; O My strength, hurry to help Me! Psa 22:20 Deliver My soul from the sword, My only one from the dog's hand. Psa 22:21 Save Me from the lion's mouth; from the wild oxen's horns. You have answered Me. Psa 22:22 I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise You. Psa 22:23 You who fear Jehovah, praise Him; all of you, the seed of Jacob, glorify Him; and fear Him all the seed of Israel. Psa 22:24 For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but when he cried to Him, He heard. Psa 22:25 My praise shall be of You in the great congregation; I will pay My vows before the ones who fear Him. Psa 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Jehovah shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever. Psa 22:27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to Jehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. Psa 22:28 For the kingdom is Jehovah's; and He is the ruler among the nations. Psa 22:29 All the fat ones on the earth shall eat and worship; all those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him; and none can keep alive his own soul. Psa 22:30 A seed shall serve Him; it shall be spoken of Jehovah to the coming generation. Psa 22:31 They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness to a people that shall yet be born, that He has done this. 10) His hands and his feet would be pierced. Psa 22:16 and You have brought Me into the dust of death. For dogs have circled around Me; the band of spoilers have hemmed Me in,piercers of My hands and My feet. 11) Soldiers would cast lots for his clothing. Psa 22:18 They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing. 12)He would be raised from the dead. Psa 16:9 Therefore My heart is glad, and My glory rejoices; My flesh also shall rest in hope; Psa 16:10 For You will not leave My soul in hell; You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption. 13) He would ascend into heaven Psa 68:18 You have gone up on high; You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts for men, yes, for the rebellious also, that You might dwell among them, O Jehovah God.
  9. Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God! I will be praised among the nations, I will be praised in the earth. Hush, be still God is here. We need to learn to be quiet, to allow God to speak to us, befotre reading our Bibles ask God to speak to us through His word. At the start of a new day ask God's blessing on it..Prayer is the excitement of encountering God. prayer is the Christian's vital breath. How does God speak to us? It's not always in the same way, we are all individuals, sometimes it will be in a forceful way, sometimes through dreams and sometimes through a still small voice, sometimes he speaks to us through an appreciation of Nature around us, His glorious creation. God likes to hear our prayers. 1Pe 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears open to their prayers. But the Lord's face is against those who do evil. Job 33:26 he shall pray to God, and He will be gracious to him; and he shall see His face with joy, for He will restore to man his righteousness. God promises to hear our prayers. 2Ch 7:14 if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2Ch 7:15 Now My eyes shall be open, and My ears shall be open to the prayer of this place. Does God always answer prayer? Joh 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you. Luk 11:9 And I say to you, Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened to you. Psa 91:14 Because He has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver Him; I will set Him on high, because He has known My name. Psa 91:15 He shall call on Me, and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver Him, and honor Him. Psa 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation. Sometimes God's answer is no, or not at the moment. but, he will always answer our prayers in some way. 2Co 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. 2Co 12:9 And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. How to pray. Mat 6:5 And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. Mat 6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your room. And shutting your door, pray to your Father in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly. Mat 6:7 But when you pray, do not babble vain words, as the nations. For they think that in their much speaking they shall be heard. Mat 6:8 Therefore do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask Him. Mat 6:9 Therefore pray in this way: Our Father, who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Mat 6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread; Mat 6:12 and forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Joining with others in prayer. Mat 18:19 Again I say to you that if two of you shall agree on earth as regarding anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by My Father in Heaven. We are commanded to pray and give thanks to God 1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing. 1Th 5:18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. We have the Holy Spirit to help us pray. Gal 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Prayers should be offered up: IN THE HOLY SPIRIT Eph 6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. IN ASSURANCE OF FAITH Heb 10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies having been washed with pure water. WITH THE HEART Jer 29:13 And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Psa 119:58 I looked for Your favor with all my heart; be merciful to me according to Your Word. WITH CONFIDENCE THAT GOD WILL HEAR OUR PRAYERS Jo 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 1Jo 5:15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him. WITH BOLDNESS Heb 4:16 Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. So, Let's go boldly before the throne of Grace in our time of prayer. Prayer is also about worship and praise but i will look at them another time. We have a God who answers prayer.
  10. We are in the last days and we need to make our stand for Jesus. Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand Preach Christ crucified, take the truth of the Gospel forth by outreach., stand against discrimination made against Christians, bring the teaching of bible truths back into our schools. There is only one God and it's not Allah. Let our lives show that the truth lies in Jesus Christ. Pray against one world religion, the devil's deception. Irene
  11. UOTE Got any rivers you think are uncrossable? Got any mountains you can't tunnel through? God specializes in things thought impossible; He does the things others cannot do. -Eliason Some of you will know this verse; we used to sing it in Sunday School when I was a child. But do we really believe it? Do we believe our God is the God of the impossible? Jer 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and inscrutable things which you do not know. Jam 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him. Jam 1:6 But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. Jam 1:7 For do not let that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord; Jam 1:8 he is a double-minded man, not dependable in all his ways. If we pray and ask God to do something for us, do we pray believing he will, or do doubts persist. I know I pray at times and then doubts arise not as to whether God can answer my prayers but as to whether he will, or is it in accordance with his will. Luk 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows. Should we doubt that God can answer prayer when he even knows the number of hairs on our heads? He cares for us. He is our loving Heavenly Father. Luk 11:9 And I say to you, Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened to you. What happens when we ask? We shall receive an answer to our prayers. Sometimes it is not the answer we want, but our Lord and Heavenly Father knows what is best for us. We need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and allow him to lead us through our day. Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. If we are truly walking in the Spirit we will not doubt that all things are possible with God. Luk 18:27 And He said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Mar 9:23 Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. QUESTION: SO, WHO DO WE WORSHIP? ANS: THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE.
  12. Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry) Colossians.3:5 (The Holy Bible : New Revised Standard Version. 1996, c1989 .) This verse is hard hitting isn't it, okay we can see how those low and debsing passions such as adultery are classified as so sinful, but here Paul tells us that greed is equivalent to idoloitary. How can that be? Is it wrong for us to want to keep up with the Jones's? Paul pulls no punches here, greed (covetnousness) is ido;itary Exo 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's. Yes, we know that the commandment says "Thou shalt not covet" but does that equate with being jealous of the big salary and comfortable lifestyle our neighbour has? Does it have anything to do with us looking at the needy around us and thinking well I'm alright Jack, but we really have to store up money for our old age. we in the west have been blessed witth so much more in the way of home comforts and belongings than our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world. We really do need that big fancy new PC don't we. We really do need a new kitchen, that fancy holiday, we need to build up riches in thev bank and that fancy new car, well we really do need a status symbol. Aha, but how does God view those things? 1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this present world, that they be not highminded, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; Do we really desire riches in this present world, are things like idols to us? Where should we store up our treasures? Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: Mat 6:20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: We are to lay up treasures in heaven for ourselves. Isa 55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. So how do we lay up treasures in heaven? By concentrating our minds on the things of God and by spending our money on that which is necessary, by tithing, by realising that all that we have comes from God, we cannot buy happiness, with money and belongings. With regard to the pursuit of happiness in the pleasures of life, and in ambition, vanity, and vice, people are so often disappointed.".And let your soul delight itself in fatness" -
  13. There is only one way to salvation, and that is through the grace of God, who sent Jesus his beloved son to die for us, that if we believe put our trust in Him the risen saviour we might have eternal life. Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. AMEN to all the above Keifer . Mat 7:13 Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it. Make sure if you the reader are unsaved to choose the narrow gate today. Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart today. Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
  14. :prayer Praise the Lord, baptism is a wonderful experience.
  15. Who is the royal priesthood Mobile 21? Can you answer that from scripture?
  16. To arrive at the position of a post- trib rapture one has to believe in replacement theology, that the church has replaced Israel. The seventieth week in Daniel will precede the second coming. the seventieth week + ntribulation period. references in scripture to this period of time. 1. wrath - Rev 6:16-17, 11:18, 14:19, 15:1,7; 16:1,19; 1 Thess 1:9-10, 5:9; Zeph 1:15, 18 2. judgement - Rev 14:7, 15:4, 16:5-7, 19:2 3. indignation - Isa 26:20-21, 34:1-3 4. punishment - Isa 24:20-21 5. hour of trial - Rev 3:10 6. hour of trouble - Jer 30:7 7. destruction - Joel 1:15 8. darkness - Joel 2:2, Zeph 1:14-18, Amos 5:18 Read 1 Thessolonians 5:9. 1Th 5:9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, So Christians asre not to experience the wrath. 1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord. 1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. It happens in a moment in a twinkling of an eye. 1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. The rapture is clearly pre-wrath.and pre tribulation. Irene
  17. This is a new subject, it is about the priesthood of believers. Christ is our High Priest making intercession for us. This is about the position of believers.
  18. The Bible account which is the inspired word of God tells us the earth is around 6,000 yrs old.
  19. The Bible is quite clear in teaching the concept of the priesthood of all believers. QUOTE 1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous ligh Now who do you think Peter was talking about here? He was talking about the Church of Jesus Christ all those who know Jesus as Saviour. We are a royal priesthood, we are God's own people. As believers in Christ weas Christians present ourselves a living sacrifices and we should carry out God's work in his service. Wow, we are to be living sacrifices , live holy lives in a manner pleasing and acceptable to God, we are to serve God . We are not to follow the ways of this world.. QUOTE Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Jesus is our High Priest, he is our intercessor between God and Man Note in verse 16 we can come boldly into the throne of grace and it is from Him our High Priest that we can obtain mercy and find grace in our time of need. Even in the Old Testament there was reference to God's people, being a kingdom of priests, and being a holy nation. QUOTE Exo 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israe The priesthood of all believers means that all Believers have access to God through faith in Jesus Christ without needing a human mediator. It also means that all Christians are called to be priests, we are part of the body of Christ, the Church and we are to minister to one another and share with one another asnd show God's love to others in the world. Our position as priests and being part of that priesthood is not something to boast about. QUOTE Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. We are undeserving of this position of priesthood. BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD GO I
  20. All things are under the feet of Jesus, all proincipalities and powers are under his feet, we have a Great High Priest, our Lord and Saviour interceding for us.If we are born again we have the Holy Spirit living within us, let us go forth in the confidence that He who is for us is greater than he who is against us.. IN THE NAME OF JESUS WE HAVE THE VICTORY, SO LET'S CLAIM IT. ABIDE IN HIM, HE IS WORTHY.
  21. GRACE VERSES WORKS QUOTE Grace Kindness; favour. The unmerited favour of God. Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us Eph 2:5 (even when we were dead in sins) has made us alive together with Christ (by GRACE you are saved), Eph 2:6 and has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, Eph 2:7 so that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His GRACE in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Eph 2:8 For by GRACE you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, Eph 2:9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. . (Eph_2:4-9) In order to understand this subject more fully I think we should first take a brief look at the nature of God, Character and Attributes of God He is Omnipresent from everlasting to everlasting) , invisible (spiritual),He is Omniscient , (all seeing) , He is Omnipotent , ( all powerful) He is the one true God. He is a Triune God. (Father Son and Holy Spirit) He is a majestic God and He is Divine. He is magnified and highly exalted, and his manifold wisdom goes beyond our understanding. He is life and bestows life. His character and will are perfect, complete, and divine. He is gracious, kind, merciful), compassionate, and completely trustworthy. He shows his love (loving-kindness) and faithfulness to all. He is not forgetful or slack, and knows all things. He rules as a righteous and just God. God is pure and sinless and cannot look upon sin. His burning anger is provoked because he is zealous for His holiness. Where does man stand in relation to God? Gen 1:27 And God created man in His image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female. Man is made in the image of God; no other creature is fashioned quite like man, but since Adam and Eve first sinned in the Garden of Eden all men have sinned. Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, God being a righteous God cannot look upon sin, the Bible tells us the punishment for sin is death, but God in His infinite mercy provided a way for man to be reconciled to Him. Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. In the next section we are going to look at how we can receive the gift of God. Salvation by the grace of God . Eph 2:8 For by GRACE you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, Eph 2:9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. God
  22. The verses yiou have mentioned BoldlyProclaimer of Christ relate to the Second Coming of our Lord. There are two distinct events. The rapture and the second coming. Have a look here. http://www.jcsm.org/BibleLessons/RaptureSecondComing.htm.

    Mid-Trib

Scripture is quite clear in indicating a pretrib rapture. http://www.tribulationforces.com/menumain.shtml See the articles here on prophecy and yes I am a member there and a moderator. I am impressed by your board though and although my heart is in TFN I will look in from time to time. I did not come here to draw people to our forum, by no means, I actually followed a link from one of our members to here.
  24. The Bible is quite clear in it's teaching of the rapture. Believers who have been saved by the grace of God will be caught up in the air to be with the Lord in heaven.I believe that, that day will be coming soon and the Bible tells us to be watching and waiting. Look up if you know Jesus as your personal Saviour for that day is coming soon.
