Thanks for the replies. What I mean by "hang out" is like, going to the movies, to each others houses, out to eat - that sort of thing. Like I said, as God does consider the unregenerate "evil," am I going against scripture by hanging around with them? PS: They know I am a Christian, and I have witnessed to them (and still do when given the chance) and they accept that. Though they have asked that I not try to bring Christ up for EVERY circumstance! They understand the Gospel, but so far have rejected it. PPS: My very best friend in the whole world is not a Christian.

Wow. I am so glad that you posted what you did yesterday, Shiloh. (The 08:35 AM #113 post. I didn't want to take up space quoting the whole thing). What an awesome way to clear the air! I admire your passion for Israel so very much. I have been here just over a year, and you have never changed, nor compromised, when it comes to Israel. I only wish I knew a quarter of what you know! Be blessed, and know that you are greatly loved here.

I've been wondering about this for awhile... I have many unsaved friends that I am close to, and love very much. But, in the Bible it says: "For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?" (2 Corinthians 6:14,15) "Do not be deceived: 'Evil company corrupts good habits.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33) Without Christ, an unbeliever is evil in God's eyes. How close should I be with my unsaved friends? Should I remain friends, but not hang out with them?

Like your own leap of faith - trusting that man will one day come up with the answer as to how everything created itself from nothing? Again, in the natural realm, Ex nihilo nihil fit is a scientific fact that has never been disproven. Is that how you judge things, by whether or not they have been disproven? Ummmm, welcome to Science 101. Oh, and you really should look in the mirror when you say that - as you claim evolution has disproven Genesis.

A depraved, unregenerated, lost world eats that junk up like candy.

WN: U.S. joins rebuke of Israel - Washington Times

If it was my land, and I wanted to put up a house, should I be allowed to do it? Of course. That land is Israels - period. You can't "give" land away that does not belong to you. God gave the Jews the land as an everlasting covenant. For those who say the Jews somehow "forfeited" the land when God chastised and scattered them for their disobedience, make God out to be a liar and a covenant breaker. He is not. When God said everlasting, he indeed meant lasting forever. I say to Israel: Build on it to the very borders! -
Paul is using the Law to show sinners their need for repentance. People then, as today, feel that if their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, they will be welcomed in heaven. Paul is explaining that there is NONE who can be good enough by God's law to make it into heaven on their own merits. Paul even pointed this out of himself when he called himself the "chief of sinners." If Paul was indeed the chief of sinners, even as a saved man as he claimed, those who say one must not ever sin to enter heaven, put Paul himself into hell. If we believe that after conversion, we will lose our salvation and be sent to hell for such things as having a "fit of rage" or "being jealous" I can be confident in saying that there will not be one soul in heaven. The only person who did, or could, live a perfect life, was Christ. After we become Christians, we are indeed to live as much a holy life as we can. But it will NEVER be the perfect life that the Law requires. We will never be totally free of our sinful natures until we are on the other side. And that is why we need Jesus.

I find it odd that you insist God will unleash his holy wrath on the wicked...and his children who love, trust, and believe in him, in the same stroke. I find it odd that you would put words in my mouth. I also find it odd that you would call God a liar and believe in him. I find it odd that I still talk to you...

Pastor Walter Snyder said: "The various pictures of the marriage feast, including those in Matthew 22 and 25 and Revelation 19:7 also indicate the possibility of eternal banqueting. While this "feast" may be figurative, speaking of a great festival or celebration, we can't discount the possibility that God intends for us to actually eat and drink, just as our first parents did even before the Fall. Ultimately, while some Scriptures indicate at least the possibility of eating in the hereafter, we cannot know for sure. We do know that we will have physical bodies in the resurrection and if these will need food, God will provide better than we can imaging. What this might be, we'll leave up to His perfect will and knowledge. Any food God will give, whether spiritual or physical, will be the best beyond imagination."

The question may be basic but neither it nor the answer are simple. If they were simple we would have the answer. It has been my experience that people who post on Christian sites are often lacking in basic science knowledge. They tend to get their information from creationist web sites like AiG or Kent Hovind's. Those sites are notorious for either misinforming people or simply being dishonest. So I see no reason not to suggest that people who post in sciency type threads to actually learn some along the way. If you think that is acting superior, then you are way too thin-skinned. Sorry. I learned what I know in school. Not from AIG or any other. I came from a Christian family, and became an atheist when I was old enough to understand evolution. Yet, the more I was taught, the less it made sense. Esp. cosmic evolution. When I spoke with my teachers in regard to what we ourselves are now talking about, they too could not answer the questions. And in fact, gave me the very answer that you have just given: "I don't know, but perhaps we will in the future." Science actually led me back to God. Anyone knows that if a house doesn't have a firm foundation, the whole structure will come crashing down. If the evolutionist's do not have answers for the beginning, why trust them for the middle? It's all based on the "science is right, and you just need to accept that, or you are fool and/or a fanatic." Sorry, but that just doesn't fly for me or most Christians who do understand science. You are in a bad position, Jukia. You refuse to accept any idea of God, but are at a loss to explain the universe without him. Ex nihilo nihil fit is a scientific fact that has never been disproven.

I don't think anyone knows. But that does not mean that God is necessary. Oh? Then explain how something came from nothing through naturalistic means. I cannot. But it does not mean that someone else might not be able to. Nor does it mean that God is necessary. And they say Christians have a "pie in the sky, bye and bye" outlook on life... You have no foundation for cosmic evolution to build upon. None. You hope in the future someone will be able to explain how everything came from nothing all by itself. You refuse to see what is right in front of your face. "Being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;" (Ephesians 4:18) You come here slamming the idea of God, yet cannot explain how the universe got here through cosmic evolutionary means. The only answer you can give is the hope that "someone else" might. Well, nobody else has. So don't come to a Christian site and act so superior and slam people here for being "ignorant of science" when you can't answer the most basic question.

Good points. PS: I'm still gonna make fun of you in heaven for being a redneck. Just wanna let you know ahead of time...

Big Morning for Pal. Auth.: Over $2 Billion Already Pledged Though PA leader Mahmoud Abbas has taken no steps to stop terrorism against Israel, he is being greeted at an international conference in Paris with admiration - and money. by Hillel Fendel (IsraelNN.com) The purpose of the one-day conference is to raise up to $5.6 billion dollars to help the Palestinian Authority partially realize its dream of becoming a full-fledged state in the Land of Israel. Though its long-term goal is to replace Israel altogether, as indicated by some of its textbooks and public television shows, at present it is working on forming a state in Gaza, Judea and Samaria alone. Before the conference even began, the United States had pledged $555 million, the European Union $650 million, and Germany and Great Britain together - $780 million. Japan then stepped in with another $150 million. Delegates from 70 countries and 20 global organizations are present at the Paris conference. French President Nicolas Sarkozy welcomed Abbas to the Elys

That's true, Scarlet. But, if we were all in the same room together, we would still have those same heated discussions, and yet still love each other with the love of Jesus. We are all brothers and sisters in the Lord, and as everyone knows, brothers and sisters fight A LOT. But the love is always there. And if you'll notice the other thing about believers as a family, we run to each others aid when a nonbeliever is tearing one of our brothers or sisters down. It's in our Christian nature to defend each other. And I would lay down my life for another believer, as I know you would too. Even for the life of a nonbeliever if need be. And that sets us apart to a point where any heated debating among us is pretty petty. I know in my heart, and just to use this as an example only, that Axxman and Shiloh could be arguing with each other in a real life situation, but as soon as someone else came along and threatened either of them, they would each have each others backs. I mean really, isn't life so much more interesting with a little passion?

I came here from ICQ Christian chat...and let me tell you, it was/is a free for all over there! Christians, Atheists, Muslims, Satanists, Witches - we ALL went at it like wild dogs! I would have to agree with those that have said people get so easily offended here. Spend a few hours over at ICQ Christian chat and it'll open your eyes to the fact that even our "heated" threads here are pretty tame.
