  1. But that at most stores................Mentos! I've eaten "Mentos" before.lololololol Oh? Sorry, I forgot myself for a bit...lolol Just couldn't help it! Too close to New Years....
  2. How close? about 20 ft away.....lololol got ya' Kari...lolol
  3. I don't "know!" lolol .....just kidding. I'm sure where you read, "God regretted making man?" I do remember where God said in scripture, " I will never forsake my land for the sake of my people again." there is a difference. And many of these sayings are not meant to be taken literally. Because, for every scripture you'll find as this one that sounds like God resents us, there's another where HE says the opposite. Lastly, you have to remember, if you did find that statement from God's Word, were speaking of a God who truly wants all HIS creations to be with HIM for an eternity.....That's a very long time down south here.llolololol.....That and we have to consider when God makes those type of comments, HE may also be speaking of the END TIMES, since HE knows everything....Past, Present, and Future! Right. So I can only guess here, but it's quite possible if we're witnessing the world growing more sinful and it continues on this path....I don't want to image what it will be like in the "End Times." Know what I mean?
  4. No ma'am , Thank You K.L. for your kind response. You always make so much sens Kitty and you seem to have so much wisdom. Have a Happy New Years and may God bless you and yours In God's Love Cajunboy
  5. Just wondering how you all feel about having to mourn over a dead body or pay respects over the dead before putting them in the ground? Now I'm dying to see how "Kari's" going to "make light" out of this topic?? Though nothing would surprise me with that girl. She's so crazy! Funny kind of crazy though! Really, do you believe in everyone getting together and mourning over the dead as to pay respects. I know for me , I've already made my intentions be known when this tired body goes kapoot! I want everyone to celebrate, have a nice dinner party with Gumbo, Jambalaya, Boiled Seafood, and just going back over our past and remembering all the laughs and jokes we pulled on each other; the times we laughed and cried, Like the time my cousin and I were practicing our dance steps in her mother's living room and I spun her around and spun her into the window and broke a pane, then we moved into her room where there was more room and I spun her once more and spun her into her bedroom window....guess what......yep....another broken window. Or the time my best friend was showing our girlfriends (now wives) how my then girlfriend was trying to get up on water skiis and she fell down, when he imitated her falling back he fell into my mom and dad's glass pane door and it shattered into a million pieces. He wondered for hours how angry my dad would be with him, but when they got home and we told them the story of the "water ski incident" they laughed the rest of the night.......So many good times......yea! Sorry, don't know how I ever got this far? Probably should have opened another topic with the latter part of that one! lolol In God' love Cajunboy
  6. Jersey! lolol. You always get me with my direct questions Kari!lololol I'm going to have to hit you deeper in you soul on the next one. Thanks for the keen sense of direction but I was hoping for more than a one-word direction as much as I was hoping for where you are with the love and peace in your heart since you've been saved? Girl, lol keep that up and they'll begin to wonder if you're not from New Orleans too? lololololol Jersey! lolol love ya anywaylolol
  7. Hey Bibs, loved your testimony of your father! One question though. You noted, "my dad was not saved though testimony , he was saved thruogh friendship. I thought that's what we were doing with our testimonies all the while? How can I develop a rapport with anyone to the point of revealing my testimony without first being in true friendship with the individual? Sorry in advance if I'm misunderstand your direction with this. Blesings cajun Hello, Brother Caj, What I mean is that my Dad was not saved because the Pastor came to our house and preached the Gospel at him. It wasn't a "visitation", it was just a visit. Pastor built a rapport with Daddy first, he understood what it took to reach my father for Christ, and it was not just the Roman's road. His friendship was his testimony. Witnessing is a lifestyle. There are very few that are gifted with spreading the gospel in the Microwave-Evangelism style. John the Baptist was one. Peter used the style in Acts, Josh McDowell, R.C. Sproul, Ravi Zacarias, Lee Stroble or John Mcarthur. My father and Pastor met 20 years ago, Daddy was saved and baptised when my son was born, five years later. That's called Crock-Pot evangelism, slow and steady, lifestyle evangelism. Most people feel comfortable and are equipped to handle this style of witnessing. Yea! Crockpot and Microwave Evangelism! Now that's really cooking wih Christ! Amen Bibs
  8. You cannot serve two masters at one time. If you believe you can , simply try it. If you stil think you can, you are not deeply rooted in the beliefs of God and HIS Word. Certainly, you can serve the powers of satan for the moment, and at that moment , it is my discernment you you are NOT acting as a TRUE Christian of Christ. Until you are in repentence and you hear God's Spirit and feel HIS comfort, you cannot call yourself a Christian. Certainly, God has allowed satan much power over us, but that only applies when you allow yourself to be distant from God. That only applies when God is speaking to you and you ignore HIM even for an instant. And I am as guilty as everyone else. But I have also seen and acted on God's gifts for the betterment and advancement of HIS people. The gift of discernment is a very powerful gift when used with God's Spirit directing one. And many Christians possess it. Many don't even realize they possess it for many years in their lives. But once you recognize it and direct it with it's proper use and energy and blessings, it can be a mighty weapon against satan. You will notice that some time after you sin and while you're being delivered from that sin, God reveals Himself sometimes more than even when you are going through any ordinary day. That's not to say you must purposely try to commit sin because only God knows your weaknesses and vulnerabilities and only HE can carry you through them to HIS light to and enable you to see more clearly what your direction and path is in Christ's name. But I have to say , the few times I have carried through with my dreaded cross in shame and degradation to Christ's Cross and realized that God has seen me through it, I have come through a more concise, accurate, and focused Christian and seemed to have much better vision and direction. Even my words seemed to be coming from another source and flow much more freely than when I am just imagining to be living in God's Word and still carrying bits and pieces of satan's dirt and grime along the way. For me, the only way I accomplish this is "From the moment I awake, I begin thanks and praise and each encounter with life I put God before me and God directs my thoughts and steps each moment of my life. This can be very tasking on many people depending on how many other obsticles you may have before you; even depending on your age. Your spiritual walk age can also determine how successful you are with this type of relationship. Many Christians seem to always have one foot planted firmly in God's Word and the other in the secular world. God is patient and generous and is willing to wait what we consider "a lifetime" which is only a blink of an eye for HIM. My prayers are with you all this New Years as we all regain focus on the one True God! Blessings Cajunboy
  9. I have to say silvia that you have taken on the most contraversial topic of all times. As I pray on this quest, the discernment I get needs repeating. Here is the response I get. 11. Now I know that this may seem like you may have to sound vain or bragging in a sort. But I think it's very necessary to show what God's people are accomplished and have accomplished in their Walk for and with HIM! You know we've done it on a one-on-one basis a time or two and I think it's important for beginners to realize what they can do. For me , it was a Catholic Priest who was going through some really hard times in HIS life and for what seemed like some menial of not grave sins at all ( without revealing the sins.) But this Priest who I came to know for approx. 15 years lived about 1500 miles from my wife and I and we met in a church he was working at on his vacation in the mountains one Sunday. Anyway , out of his total amazement I began contacting him and we became best friends by phone. To make a long story short, eventually he ended up giving up his profession as a Priest and working with the terminally Ill in a totally unrelated field, and is much happier because he felt he could no longer support his religion and grew tired and depressed with all the pain he witnessed in the world, since Priest must hear confession. For him, it was a heart-wrenching decision, but the right one and he was a better person for it. Anyone else?
  12. You are soooooooooo right terri, and you just reminded me that I might be acting naive and insensitive to those who think I'm referring to the ones' who will have to suffer from their fathers and mothers who had them out of marriage. My sincere apology! Because we all know how easy it is , before we find Christ and sometimes afterwards , to forget yourself in the heat of passion of love for another even for a brief moment....And that's all it takes to create another one of God's gift. I think sometimes God allows these births because HE knows the future of that special Human Being and HE know the Works that that person will do for HIM one day. And sometimes that child/adult coming from a broken or unmarried home , because he/she had to experience those atrocities turns out to be a stronger worrior and person within him/herself just because of the error. And it's still no different of a sin that can be repented by all who partake! Blessings cajun
  13. Oh glory, I thought it was ALWAYS HOT down THERE???LOLOLOL just kidding dear heart...lol.....I know where you're headed and it's a better place......yea , even better than Texas.....lolol
  14. Geez, If I were a mod or one responsible for controlling this forum , I would think one would want people to know what some get banned here or anywhere else. You wouldn't have to give specifics but It might help others to see and read what types of prohibited language is being banned in the case where they might be contemplating doing the same....it could make a difference? You think?
  15. Your personal thoughts please?
  16. As odd as that sounds to a Christian living the Word of God , that is the mentality and the way of thinking for much of the world. They have to develop a pattern of this type of thinking for most of their lives in order to get through life without having to face God's reality. But somthing more sad than that, if one does not repent for any wrong doing, they cannot ask for favor from the fruit that is produced from that sin. So, for her to expect proper Christian growth from any sin would be wrong. If I were in her shoes and I were her friend I would "thank God for her offspring but beg forgiveness for the sin that these children may have to carry with them, not to mention the mother and "should be" father!. And please don't take any of this as being judgemental, as I can always show scriptural reference for my concerns. Prayers and Blessings Cajunboy
  17. You will hear many versions in this matter so I'll just keep it simple! We know that even the Diciples worked for their keep until Jesus took them under his wing and provided for them by their dicipling. We are also commanded from the Bible to "work hard for your keep" and do not steal." God only says in HIS word that we are not to allow money or greed control us or be Greater in our own lives than God is. This also applies to all our other worldly possessions, like cars, planes, clothing, homes and the like. So for me, I simply tell God every nite before bed, to give me only what HE feels is necessary for us to survive and enjoy life as HE promises "To the fullest." I try never to ask for things of value from God because we already know that if God feels that we necessitate anything ...HE WILL PROVIDE. Case in point. Last year I felt the need for a Nintendo DS Lite player. Now, of course you can play various games on it and entertain your self to an extent. But God knows our hearts and HE knew that I only needed this unit for educational purposes at this time in my life. I recently retired for the military and the job I hold presently calls for quick, accurate and immidiate actions for the safety of many in this country. So I merely told God one nite in conversation with HIM that HE knew my needs. Shortly after that I eventually received an acculate of the monies I needed for the unit and the educational chips to help train me and sharpen my skills. I purchased the unit , giving thanks and praising God knowing full well that HE was responsible for the gift. Of course, I could have simply taken from my weekly salary and had less to give my children in the area they need for their advanced educations. That's something that I will not do....I'd rather wait on God to intercede , because if HE feels it is not necessary for HIS intercession I simply will not get what I think I need. Now , this works for me and I'm very confident in my beliefs and that God takes care of our/my needs at the time if we simply trust and believe in HIM. there have been several instance In my life , as in a business venture that I whole-heartely wanted to venture into and God did not respond. Eventually, I retreated to HIS will and let it go. One might say "This is crazy." But for me it works and I trust God and our lives haven't suffered on iota for my beliefs. In fact my life and the lives of my loved ones have prospered and only been better and richer. Merry Christmas Cajunboy
  18. The true light of a sinful nation is shining bright. And this one isn't God's light. We may very well be seeing our last days, when just before Jesus comes back to gather HIS flock , satan will do all the destruction and damage he can before the second coming! All the other non-believers you speak of represent the anti-christ in my view. Nothing more and nothing less. If you have God's spirit in your heart and life satan cannot attach himself to you. He can make you think that he owns you for a brief time, but you know that through repentance and prayer, you can come back to God in an instant. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years Cajun
  19. Hi Dave , Yes I agree. I should have said specifically the Spiritual/Religious forum. And also the general forums as well. Just scan over the majority of the responses and you'll see what I'm referring to. Many of the people seem so disconnected with what we're trying to do here as a family for Christ. Also, the anger and harshness level makes us seem like "lambs," or "kittens" in comparison if you know what I mean. I was just taken back a bit when I realized that so many seem lost, lonely and afraid of life. Also, it's obvious that many of the younger writers have very little supervision or have had the wrong kind. Did you notice that?
  20. If you have, then you probably have an idea how messed up this country is. If you haven't and if the MODs. don't mind the advertisement for a second, you'll be astounded by what you'll hear. These people, both young and old "ask and answer" questions about life /spirituality/ cults and the like. Some of these souls need guidance that they've probably never seen the likes of . And by the questions some of the youth asks, it's no wonder why there are so many abortions, people being abused and taken advantage of, and children taking their lives as we speak. Make me cry to have to read of so many messed up children in the world. What's worse, many of these are going to attempt to control and manage this country tomorrow. Scares the socks off of me. I'm so glad when I venture back into forums like Worthy , but I have to force myself to go to forums as "Answers" just to see what and how others are surviving out there without God. Makes me want to praise and worship my God all the more. Don't get me wrong, I'm not tryin to say all the youth out there is ruined. I'm not naive enough to think that just because I read 30% of the topics that are messed up that they ALL are. But there's alot more than I imagined. Also, I'm not crazy and hypocritical enough to think that some of the youth's parents and elders are not responsible for the confused children and teens. And many on there are older. Old enough to know better than to encourage the young to follow their foolish ways. There are perverts on there who are trying to convert many to this "wicker" (spelling?) religious cult and many other. You can tell they're out there and I always knew they were to a degree but I never dreamed it was to this degree. Merry Christmas Cajun
  21. It seems that the Early Christians (Christians who lived after Christ, to the year of the Nicaean Creed) simply did not celebrate their birthdays, unlike most of the pagans at the time. Are birthday celebrations inherantly pagan? After reading this article, the question is, should Christians be celebrating their own birthdays? If you ask me, I think too much pride is involved in birthdays, it almost seems un-Biblical, except for one birthday in particular; the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We should all be humble, and not filled with pride. So, should Christians celebrate their birthdays? There doesn't seem to be a reason why we should, according to the Bible... Also, I'll let all of you in on something, I don't like celebrating my own birthday, apart from that it is just too embarrassing, I just don't think it's Biblical. Correct me on this if possible. Thank you, and may the Lord bless you all. Yes! God tells us to enjoy life to the fullest an abundantly! Why not celebrate God's gifts? As long as it doesn't show pride or arrogance or that you put yourself above God, or worship yourself more than God. I personally see no harm in it. I came from a family that didn't celebrate Birthdays. For years of growing up I recognized my Birthday to be on my Father's Birthday and his on mine because we were 2 days apart in date. When I married my wife began a small tradition of cake and party and we've continued it ever since. It also shows someone elses' appreciation for you and visa versa.
  22. Not sure if that's totally true Suzanne, because our nation was nowhere near as disasterous and vulnerable as it is now and I don't remember a time in my 56 years where man's "Heart" as you call it was revealed as it needs to be. I'm thinking more along the lines of good , clean leadership with representation that got the peoples' interest and goodwill in mind. We need the type of Leadership that is attentive to its Congress who when he is warned not to mess with trying to change the culture of a nation, that he should take heed to those warnings. Some things are better left for God to deal with instead of man. There is no dealing with irrational people who care not for the life of a man and believe it is with the approval of their god to take a life for religious purposes. ONLY GOD CAN CHANGE MAN'S HEART! Not by force of another man. Many a men have died for that cause for little reason at all and out of sheer stubborness. I've seen similar actions taken over Leadership in Russia and they still didn't bow down to our country, but by their own hand and ignorance into almost poverty and a broken nation. Their only now beginning to consider their people and make a comeback.
