Wow LadyC, I'm checking mine out from the public library and I didn't see that many, but I went back today for 6 and I know there is another one. I'll have to ask when I go back. And they have the kids series and if I'm not mistaken they have The Third Millenium.

I got this email about the trucker's strike. There is going to be a Truckers Strike on April3 - 7 in Georgia and in a few other states. We depend on our truckers more than we realize. They haul trees out of the woods so we can have toilet paper, newspaper, and so on. They haul our groceries to the store. They probally haul almost everything that you bring into your home. The I W W Union has called and said that they will be shutting their trucks down on April first to support the truckers strike. These 16,000 trucks use 5,066,400.00 dollars worth of fuel a day. Some truckers have already shut down. Some will start on April second, but most of us are striking from April 3-7. I am asking for your help. Fill up your vehincle on later than April second. Don't buy gas for four days. Let's show Washington that we need some relief by sticking together. Diesel fuel is $4.00 and up a gallon. One guy worked all week and because it took so much fuel that week for him to work, at the end of the week he owed his boss $11.0. One trucker we talked to brought home $33.00 for a weeks worth of work. Another trucker brought home $78.00 for a weeks worth of work. What if you had been away from your family all week trying to make a living and when you got your check it was $78.00? Could you live off that? Let's work together to get the price of gas and diesel fuel back low to a reasonable price. Don't buy gas or diesel fuel April 3, 2008 - April 7, 2008. Please send this to everyone you know and spread this through word of mouth.

Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! This is an email I got ( not from the Coca Cola executive. And I haven't checked it out to see if it is correct This was sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. If you are tired of the gas prices going up AND they will continue to rise this summer, take time to read this please.. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea. This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! It's worth your consideration. Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $ 4.00 a gallon by next summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas . It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. Me too! It is currently $2.98 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace..not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war. Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

This is one of the complaints the truckers are making. The stores are charging so much and saying it's because of the cost of fuel to get the stuff there but the truckers aren't getting the raise for their fuel.

I like that post. I know a lady that when her husband of many years had died, and she was at the funeral home crying and saying thank You God, she said because she knew he was in heaven, It's was a bad thing for her but a good thing for him.

My daughter is the one in Oregon, just outside Portland, she can both both angel and .... Right now she is in .... mode, but I love her dearly and look forward to her getting her act together. My son is in Alabama entering the armed services. Some of my family lives in So Cal., however they are spread all over the US including Maryland. My brother in law lives in Alabama and grandaughter in Maryland
