  1. James 5:20 20)remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
  2. I believe our bodies are imperfect vessels although we can be filled and flow over with the power of the Holy Spirit but only in His own timing and for God's purposes. There was only ever One perfect and pure Vessel and that is Jesus. The Holy Spirit goes where He is needed and our imperfect vessels can only hope to be filled by Him and used for God's will and purpose. Luke 5: 36And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. 37And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 38But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. 2 Corinthians 5: 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Colossians 2: 5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: John 6: 28Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6: And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 2 Corinthians 13: 5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Hebrews 4: 9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Welcome to Worthy!

  4. It could go both ways. Either parent could work while the other stays home and watches the children. What I can't understand is, why do people feel they should pay someone else to watch their child($250 per week per child) and raise them thier way instead of you raising them, unless you're making enough money to pay your bills and other luxuries and feel it's worth the money and pleasures, to let someone else raise your child. One parent should at least work part time to make sure the child is getting proper care and knows that their parent DOES care. Money is not everything.
  5. I believe lying is a sin we all have done at least once in our lives. If someone says they've never lied, they're lying. The reason it's such a problem is because we've allowed the sin into our lives in small doses calling it "white lies" or saying, "it's to benefit this person". We lie to our children saying, "there are some things you have to lie about with children". That right there is a lie. Whenever we're tempted of evil, God will make a way out. Every "little" lie opens the door for the sin of lying to come in and take over, like giving the devil the keys to your mouth. Like a virus, it began microscopic but has corrupted the whole body and left it vulnerable for satan's domination. Better never to lie. Ever. Children may not want to hear, "Because I said so." or, "I'll explain that when you're older." but this is teaching them a far more valuable lesson, TRUTH. Even telling children, "Santa is coming and is getting you presents, have you been good?" is a LIE. When they are older, they will believe everything you've ever told them should be questioned, because of that lie.
  6. Matthew 6:22-23 22)"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23)But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! If we have any sin in us like pride, hate, greed, selfishness etc., He won't enter our vessels and use us for God's glory. That's why we have to renew ourselves by praying, asking for forgiveness daily and doing our best not to make a mockery of Jesus' atonement for our sins. Matthew 19:17 17)"Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments." John 14:11-12 11)Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12)Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. Matthew 5:20 20)For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

It seemed to me that the man had a desire for God and an understanding of God that Jesus was impressed with. I'm sure Jesus knew that man's future, as He knew Judas', and was speaking in terms of it. I guess my question is, what exactly does everyone feel the true meaning of this "kingdom of Heaven" is, that Jesus spoke of in this verse? It seemed like the man was either going to die soon or enter the "kingdom" spiritually while still alive on earth because of his relationship with God? Obviously, one would have to be a faithful child of God in order to enter the kingdom of Heaven. God knows who all of His children are. He knew us before we were born.

Mark 12:28-34 28)One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" 29)"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30)Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31)The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." 32)"Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33)To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." 34)When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. What was it about what that man said that made Jesus tell him "you are not far from the kingdom of God"? Is the "kingdom of Heaven" that Jesus is speaking about, while we're alive here on earth, the closeness and blessings we recieve from God in doing God's will? Like being in the "flow" of goodness, rather than the flow of evil? A oneness in communication with God? Is that what He means by "kingdom of Heaven"? No one ever really tries to explain this. Most people shoot verses about and say it's all about obeying the commandments and doing good and going to Heaven when we die because we believed on Jesus, but they never try to fully explain the kingdom the way it's used in the NT so many times by Jesus. Is that because, as Jesus said, some people "block the door to the kingdom of Heaven"?
  10. I understand what he is doing, but like you I disagree with it. What people are searching for, what in particular young people are searching for, is not a good buddy, not another secular hero, they are searching for the Holy, for the mystical, for a sense of awe, for the Almighty! Most of all, more than anything else, people want Truth. As far as what to tell young people, tell them the TRUTH!! Because when they are old enough to figure it out, they will not depart from Truth.
  11. Praying for you, hang in there.
  12. "Innocent until proven guilty" Well, I would be mighty surprised if someone went through such an extent to make them look as guilty as they look and that type of thinking is called "conspiracy".
  13. So maybe the fit I see between part of Revelation 12 and Revelation 13 is not a current actual fulfillment of these Scriptures? Not saying it is or isn't. Some say The Tribulation doesn't start till after The Rapture. But... Regarding Jesus and suffering "They have no power if...". These are some of the Scriptures that I believe may apply: Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. ... Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ... far from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring? Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Mar 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? You've got part of a Psalm(Psalms 22:1) in that last part of your post. I believe that when Jesus said those words on the cross He was referring to that Psalm because that Psalm was referring to Him and what He had just done. Every word out of His mouth was in perfect timing and had perfect meaning. Are you asking if we're to suffer? Mankind has been suffering since the Fall from the Garden of Eden. Anyone who tries to follow God and His ways suffers for it. Temporarily. If you think about it, Revelation can be applied to a Christian's whole lifespan, so can the Bible, in it's entirety. Life begins with our mother's pain(God's hard work and love) and produces something beautiful and pure, a baby(Adam and Eve and Earth) and then we grow and learn and go through trials and tribulations, we mess up, and eventually God calls us back to Him. This is also a painful process because we have to battle to get to Him. Does God not deliver(Rapture) when a women travails? Yes re Psalm 22. Please explain your post re "They have no power if..." in light of the Scriptures I gave re Jesus. He was forsaken. Ron... "they have no power if..." meaning the more power you believe demons or sin have the more power you give them. And Jesus wasn't "forsaken" in the way some people think. His last words on the cross were "it is finished", the last part of the Psalm, which explained the statement "why hast thou forsaken me", the first part of that Psalm. That whole Psalm describes what had just taken place and why. He spoke those verses because His followers would later write them down and the reader or hearer would be lead by the Holy Spirit to know this.
  14. The "knocking boots" part, probably. It paints a visual more easily than if he had said, "she invented the story after her prom activities led to pregnancy". Blurring this visual distances it from the mind but stating it plainly brings it to "familiarity". Like revealing a person's nakedness, it's disrespectful.
  15. I totally agree about not speaking in KJV(Paul spoke KJV?). I was thinking about this while cleaning this morning. When I was living in sin, I viewed people by their mannerisms, dress and behaviors. It was the palpable way to determine what they were all about. If someone stumbled toward me drunk and spouted out words that were hardly understandable, I'd have disregarded every word they said because drunken talk is annoying if you're not drinking. I don't remember what it was like to be drunk because I've had less alcohol in my life than could fill a gallon(or maybe just over, i exaggerate) but I can imagine that being drunk would make another person's drunken talk more tolerable. Same with living in the sinful nature. If you're living in sin and find nothing wrong with, say, sexual immorality, you'll have no trouble with someone using "familiar" terminology in conversation about anyone. You'll use it freely and think it's all good. It'll be "normal" and it shouldn't bother anyone, according to you. When a drunk person sobers up they wish they had never said the things they said when they were dunk. Same with living in sin. You're right. Jesus, of all people, shouldn't be spoken of in "familiar" terms the way that man did.
  16. Was Mark D. even speaking for Jesus? Just because someone speaks about Jesus doesn't mean they are speaking for Jesus. He contradicted too many things, like the virgin birth. That's not for, it's against. It's antichrist. His mannerism wasn't the problem. "Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in THY sight, oh Lord, My strength and my redeemer." No matter how good we think we speak there will always be someone who can speak better. God is who we have to please. Of course, we should give a good effort to try and speak well to glorify God and ONLY to glorify God. Not ourselves. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 19)Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20)To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21)To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22)To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23)I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

  18. I believe we, as Christians, all swim against the current and it wearies us tremendously(until we look beside us at the ship called Faith). Sometimes we're so fixed on the waves we forget it's there. Lord help us to remember it's there.
  19. When you turn on a light in a dark room, there are still shadows. Salt water and fresh water should not come from the same vessel but very often does. This is why we are to renew our hearts and our minds daily. If we fall into a pit, Jesus catches us and helps us back up again. When we dive into that pit head first, satan catches us and often eats us. There's a difference between slipping and diving. Both can be forgiven but one will leave teeth-marks.
  20. ok, then please tell me Is this ok to changes God's words? What are the consequences when church leaders or those who has authority change or add their own ideas and opinions to God's book? I am extremely serious about God's words. God's "Word" is in His mouth. You can hear God's "Word" when He allows you to hear it. God can speak through nature, if need be but His Word will be heard when He wants it heard. You can read the Bible for years and years and never hear God's Word. (I went through that stage, that's why I know this.) The Bible(KJV1611) is a resource I use to discover the truths about God. It is a lamp and the Holy Spirit is the oil for that lamp. I believe it's the best lamp. Just be careful not to worship a book, idol worship is idol worship no matter what you hold in your hand.
  21. Peace on all of you, did you mean there is another version of the Bible for kids? ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book." (Revelation 22:18-19) I am kind of worried about those Christians who have written Bibles with there own hands and edit ,changed and added many things dispite being forbidden by our lord. What do you think changes in the words of our lord can mislead us or not? There have been too many discussions on "which canon is the best canon" and which one is perfectly "inerrant" in text and translation. The verse you chose was intended for John's prophesy(Revelation), not the canon you hold close to you.
  22. Good question. You have to ask, "What is God's will?", first. He wants all His creation live up to the beautiful standards He set in the beginning. God doesn't cause sin, we do. He has been known to create something beautiful out of something ugly. In His perfect timing, He bumps us in the right direction. Maybe we think "it would have been better if He'd have 'bumped' us sooner?" and then satan comes in and whispers his lie "it was His plan for you to sin, for the greater good...". No. God does not cause us to sin, nudge us in sin's direction for His cause, or prevent us from sinning when we're determined to do it. He does not need us it is us who need Him. His will will get done with or without our help. He allows us to participate in His plans the way a father would allow his toddler to "help" build the tree-house in the back yard. It's an honor to do His will. It's a privilege. Sin was never a part of His will and God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
  23. Sin does lie at the door, crippled and weakened, if you refuse to feed it. Every time you feed it, though, it begs for more and more frequently begs.
  24. Amen!
