Accidental towel to the eye-
Blien replied to jeffnevins's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
If you feel something in your eye and your vision is bury it means there is a scratch and you should see a doctor. If it's just red go to the washroom and wash your hands then pool lukewarm water in your hands and softly massage your eyes while your bent over with face in hands.. that should help a little for the pain but I would still say go to a doctor. -
Has anyone here ever studied Priscilla and Aquila from the Bible? Who where there? where they brother and sister? Where they just fellow belivers in the Lord? What was their ministry, their calling? Now I'm sure I'm asking simple questions but I really want to know more about these people. God's been burning their names in my heart for a long time and I really want to know all about them... They are in 1 Corinthians 16:19

Its true, they are the hardest people to reach... but I feel this is a huge opportunity from God to share the gospel and for them to come to salvation!

I was thinking something similar. In the word it says something about 4 angels holding back the winds.. I wonder if this is inch by inch moving us a step into that direction. I remember that the Chile Earthquake did the same thing, that is shift the Earths Axis..

Will a Mod please close this thread before it becomes a show of my church is better than yours? Thank you...

Oh, I understand. I was just explaining where my answer comes from. (I'm not Lutheran anymore, either.) I know, I just didn't want others to come on this tread with a comment that would sow discord among the belivers. As Jesus said, "they will know you by your love for one another"..

Just for the record I grew up in a Catholic and Orthodox home but after the Lord's discipline in 2006, I became to be a born again believer in the Messiah. I don't call myself by any denomination just Christian, but if had to grab a label for myself I would be Pentecostal.... but that's not what this topic is all about... I just wanted to know where the churches listed above fall under in general.

Just curious... I know that the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopalian churches fall under the Catholic doctrine category in general. I'm saying in general because they all are very similar in their teachings. What about Lutheran, Reformed, Presbyterian, Methodist, Wesleyan, and Baptist.. where do they fall under? Are they all considered Reformed Protestant? I have no knowledge about Church history that's why I'm asking.. it's hard to google it..

Mmhmmmm you guys are all making very excellent points here.. I am starting to agree that it is the Millennial kingdom but I need to re-read the scriptures again until I'm solidly convinced however, I'm 90% convinced so far! Thanks a lot guys, you've been a great help! Excellent point also about death being cast after the Millennial kingdom, I didn't even think about that!

For Zechariah I agree, but what of the scripture from Isaiah? It says clearly its in the New Heavens and Earth meaning after the Millennial

The Bible mentions a certain group of people who will live long days and then die.. who are they? Isaiah 65:17-25 17

I'm really starting to be convinced that perhaps these Atheists and other non-believers are God's tool to refine us and make us Holy as He is Holy. Since that is what He commanded us to do in the scripture... so I don't know the reason but I highly suspect this being the reason.. However we can't overlook the fact that non-believers are also filled with the spirit of the adversary or at least controlled by him. Therefore, it is that spirit which wars against us.. you know the verse "For we do not war against the flesh but against powers, principalities...". Buddhists and the rest don't take much heat because as Jesus said at one point "How can Satan be against Satan?"

Actually the reason they pray to Mary is because apparently it is written somewhere that Jesus made a promise to Mary that if anyone asked her of anything that He would do it for her. This is nowhere in the Bible. I'd like to see where the Catholic and Orthodox priests are getting this promise from. I've looked through the Bible and never found it anywhere. It's part of the reason why they also pray the Rosary which the majority of the prayers are directed to her. But the story of where the Rosary came from is a whole another issue. Here is the story: Some time ago two children (one girl and one boy) had a vision of "Mary" out in the field and she told them to pray the Rosary and that she would answer their prayers. We had a whole debate about this in my Sunday School just two days ago. Here is my belief. All visions need to be tested by the word of God to see if they are truly from the Lord. Now what is the purpose of the Rosary? Isn't it to focus on Mary? Why would Mary be so important to pray to (a sinner like us) if the whole New and Old Testament is written about Jesus? Wrong priorities and yes this is a huge deception in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches.

Nice! 2 Peter 2:4 4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; This verse makes it look like the place of outer darkness is Hell, which is a place where the angels who sinned are reserved for judgement, which is the lake of fire. Yeah that's a good one, Jesus refers to Outer Darkness a lot in the Gospels here are some examples from Matthew... Matthew 8:12 but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 22:13 Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' Matthew 25:30 Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Also here are some other references which add evidence that there is more than one heaven.. 2 Corinthians 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a man was caught up to the third heaven. Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Ephesians 1:10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him Ephesians 4:10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things. Luke 16:22-33 Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. Luke 23:43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

Scripture and Jesus refer to several things.. 1. Outer Darkness, 2. Lake of Fire, 3. Hell (Sheol/Hades) He then refers to something called Paradise several times, one time it was called Abraham's Bossom.. so whatever that place it, it must be one of the Heavens because Jesus told the man one the left side of Him that today he would be with him in Paradise. Then Paul refers to the Third Heaven in 2 Corinthians 12 which gives a little more insight. In the book of Revelation we can get some kind of idea about what the other heavens are like. If you think of our current situation in this Earth. God infact created the Earth as good, now it is corrupt but at one point it was good and not under a curse. We also know there is an unseen realm called Heaven. And we also know that God has a throne in Heaven. Okay so taking all that in mind in the book of Revelation chapter 22 it says that John saw the New Earth, New Heavens and New Jerusalem (The Throne of God). So that is our best estimation. It's based totally on Scripture, I can give you several more verses if you are interested. Actually, 2 corinthians 12 is not the only place where there is references to more than one Heaven. It's a really interesting study!
