I think we have to remember God is in control of everything + knows everything. And no one can come to God besides he draws the person to himself. If you recognize God in health or illness its only because the Lord has opened your eyes + drawn you to him. I've seen alot of sick folks who dont even consider God on their deathbeds. I actually remember one woman who was a lesbian/witch and when I tried to discuss God with her (she was terminally ill/liver cancer) she told me I could save him for myself. So, we see nothing comes from us. This leads to topic that only God can save. Heatherxoxox

This is a unique topic. 1. Because the Lord recently convicted me on it. I wanted this apologetics bible + simple theology book SO bad I bought them. But, once in my house I got negative feelings when I opened them. So, I went to the Lord and asked why. And I heard clear as day "They are speaking OF me, they dont KNOW me." I understood immediately those books were about God ... people glancing in from outside of the Lord studying him. Not a actual relationship with him. Its intellectual- human philosophy. But scantify the Lord God in your hearts:and be ready always to give an answer to everyman that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. (1 peter 3:15) Yes be ready to give a answer to WHY you believe. The hope that is IN you. Not outside of you by human reasoning. Were also told not to get in vain arguements and disputes. If you go to a man and explain why you believe, and he doesnt accept it- walk away. But theology + apologetics goes deeper, they are argue their beliefs til someone is right. I dont think thats what the Lord has called us to. Heatherxoxox

Be careful. The devil is tricky. If he can get you to believe a lie + you start looking into Atlantis you can start looking into other New Age stuff. If it doesnt say it in the bible... God doesnt want us to know about it! If its in the bible God has a point to tell us. But, I can honestly say ive never heard about Atlantis in the bible, so my fascination ends there.

AMEN and AMEN only the sins of others that has sinned against us do we have the power to forgive their sins. oc Without forgiving we are not giving God room to forgive us. But, I agree its a truley difficult thing to do. Completely forgive. It shows how amazing our God really is. The characteristics we struggle for (which is already in us) is the very likeness we will one day (hopefully) shadow of Christ.

I dont know this guy seems pretty racist is to me. Hes more concerned about black people and africa than humanity as a whole. Hes for "restoration" and his commitment to "africa"- what about the rest of the World? Hes to concerned about the division- its sad. I forgot exactly where, I believe in Isaiah it discusses how Jesus was with God from the beginning... the verse goes something like I was with you when you were founding the earth. He was with God always and God was glorified through him. Heather

I know this is a old thread but im going to reply anyways. Fact is- the reason for Gods destruction is Gods purpose and will. We tend to forget Gods will is perfect and not only that he foreknows our actions and motives. So perphaps he was SAVING those children from being raised in a sinful environment which therefore would have condemned them to eternity in hell. God is always good and just. Now this is just a humans perspective im sure Gods is complete as is his will. Heather There must be gray or why else would it say if we have no sin we decieve ourself????? Yep. He's black, educated, and actually speaks english well. What more could you ask for? Substance. Yeah, you, me and kat...everybody else loves the winning smile. She's not wrong for endorsing him and neither is Caroline Kennedy and using their names to do it. That is their right, same as it is yours to dismiss it outright... Yep their choice who they endorse. Also if you read the story about Jacob. He ended up with a limp the rest of his life... sometimes we wrestle with God and his choices before God has to face us with some kind of demonstration to show us that we arent right and without him were nothing. The holy spirit is there for us every step of the way. Something comes to mind, the devil has shown the contrast from Gods goodness. Just as you look at the world you can see the beauty and vastness from Mother Theresa compared to lets say Hitler. The fact the devil exsists is really as irrelevant as the fact we exsist. Because we obviously do. Why is there evil? I dont know. Did God know Lucifer would fall? I'm sure he did. Is there a reason behind it? Yep, God plans everything together for good for the ones who love him. The way I see it (Im no one special) Lucifer was as much apart of creation as us, he has free will as well. If us humans fell into sin? Why couldnt a angel which THOUGHT he had power? THOUGHT he could have a heads up on God. Reminds me of how alot of humans behave todays societies. But- In the end they got a BIG disappointment coming. Heatherxoxox

My husband is a muslim and I asked him about the savior thing... and he said all muslims dont believe that. Its a new age type of belief system for muslims, sort of like the new age Christian branches which have taken form. Heatherxoxox

If any democrat goes into office anyone who makes a good amount of money yearly will be taxed higher. The point is to provide health coverage for the poor man. Barack clearly pointed this out in the democratic debate, the room was full of celebrities and he made it clear taxes for the people who make over 75,000.00 a year will end up paying more. 1. That was courageous and honest, 2. He stands for truth. I really respect this man. Is making taxes higher for people who are considerably wealthy a bad idea? Nope. Theres people out there who are dying or pretty ill from things they cant go to a doctor for while those rich folks are enjoying their delicacies with their big screen tvs. It upsets me, clear fact. So a wealthy selfish person wouldnt be happy with this decision could possibly take away from their luxuries and way of life they are use to, but on other hand gives the poorer man a better opportunity in life. On the flip side- if a republican gets into office they are concerned with the security of the nation so wont pull out of iraq for awhile and will continue the war in iraq and im sure in other countries given some time. Because a republican will be more concerned with the war and potential threats theres no doubt there will be security, and the rich man will stay rich. If a democrat goes into office they will focus on the financial aspects of the nation, economy will get better- the rich man wont be happy though (he'll have to share his wealth), we will pull out of Iraq (could we destroy all we've built upon?) maybe another war will come out of this. These are the big topics. Republic- Security yet continued economic struggles (recession?) or Democrat- Economic balance (rich man sharing his wealth) and less national security?

Im very sorry- Nothing is by chance hun. God plans everything according to a purpose. His purpose, and his purpose is always just and good. Please trust in God during this time. Well ive thought about it, and prayed about it. Ive come to the conclusion it is the behavior I should be exibiting in my day to day lifestyle. Its something im struggling with- if it brings me closer to God and was from the devil. God used that devil to bring me to him. What comes to mind is when Joseph said to his brothers "what you intended for evil God intended for good." Thank you everyone 4 your responses!!! I appreciated everyones imput. Love- Heatherxoxox Yes, but 1 Timothy 4:1 and the fact that 1John 4:1 is a COMMANDMENT from The HOLY Spirit to test the spirits to see if they are from God or not. I went {still am} thru horrible trials starting circa 1991 and have been taught unshareable things. Failed a number of times and have been punished supernaturally more than one. Seducing spirits-simple case, lots of people would want to be hearing from God {pride attack}. Also hearing from the Enemy {wow, must be really important to...}. Much much more to consider. Remember the Gospels and Acts: unclean/evil spirits were told to be SILENT {by Jesus, Paul}-they may or may not speak the truth, but WE ARE TO resist.... John 14 thru John 17. Agape and peace-whole armour of God Ephesians 6:10-18. Ron... I agree with you. But- In the bible it says God allows and can deny everything. It could be a test, but the message was self-control and love. I believe with all my heart it was sent by God. I also know if it was sent by a wandering spirit etc I know God had to allow it. Because God is sovereign. So If its a case of me following spirits or him, Im going to follow him. But the message I will take heed too because that too will bring me closer to the Father. Yes I believe it was God, and on top of that I have asked for patience and self-control with my anger with my husband. As a matter of fact we got into a fight over money, and i thought to myself that wasnt tenderness of heart. ugh. Heatherxoxo

I was sleeping, or half sleeping and I kept hearing the same phrase. While I was sleeping or half sleeping I kept talking to myself about it.
