  1. Reminds me of the part in the scripture where Jesus tells a man he needs to sell everything he owns to be able to follow him. I have been heavily burdened lately about financial issues. I realize im not rich, yet im comfortable. But- Desire more. Now I question if im being greedy by wanting my own home and other things in this life. Its really a weighing burden on my heart. Is it wrong to desire good things in this life while others are starving to death in other parts of the world, even in our own Country Heatherxoxoxox
  2. And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. Malachi 1:3 There you have it Gods CHOICE. We decide weather we love or hate God- If we have choice why wouldnt God? Hes sovereign. There is no question about this. It just is. Hes everything, everywhere, and his decision is final. So If God hated someone- theres a reason and the reason is just. Heatherxoxoxo
  3. Your a very wise 12 year old. keep going and learning you can help alot of folks this way. Remember God uses us as his example. Heatherxoxoxo
  4. I believe God can pentrate anyone. believer or non-believer but the intensity depends on us. Jesus said you can have faith as a mustard seed if you believe that much a mountain can be moved. Imagine what he can do with someone who believes a little more? I also feel its ultimately comes down to who God chooses, and his choice im sure relates to his all-knowing omnipresent nature. 5. I have similair issues with my husband, but not quite as severe as your stating. I find that Its Gods way of producing the "good fruit" in me, his child. Im really learning how to bite my tongue in alot of issues and how to control my anger so it doesnt produce in a negative way. As Gods child doesnt mean you wont face tough times, its impossible to grow spiritually without facing some rough rough bumps to build our character in this world- so the good Lord can use and help us more approprietely. When we decide we are Christians, doesnt mean our problems will go away. Means we have to pick up our cross and follow Jesus. I believe each individual cross can be extremely diverse than anothers, depending on Gods will for us and how much the good Lord knows we can personallly handle. As for the praying you have to keep in mind the Devil doesnt try to stop interfering with our relationship with our Father. You stop praying he wins, we loose. Thats the plan. To try to take away Gods glory. So he uses us weak little dirty things to try to harm the good Lord. But- I assure you God listens and he loves each of us. Go to him wholeheartedly, with a innocent, loving heart and beg for understanding, strength and wisdom during these difficult times. Heatherxoxoxo
  6. That's because people like us don't go around killing those we disagree with. In the words of Jack O'Neill (Stargate SG-1), "That's what makes us the good guys." It is very sad to think what human beings are doing to their own kind. Whats even sadder is what damnation their soul will have to face. As for Bhutto, She was a beautiful 54 year old woman. Intelligent, kind, and from what I knew wanted to help many people. She left behind a husband and 3 children. They tried to assisinate her 2 times prior to this, and was exiled. But had just recently returned to pakistan. She didnt have enough security and when stated she responded by "God will protect me".... Its very unfortunate and her family is in my prayers. Love- Heatherxoxoxox
  7. I think hes a nice guy- I think weather or not Oprah supports him everyone WILL form their own opinion. We are all entitled to our feelings about people, But if Oprah decides to parade her love of Obama around the nation(s) isnt that her choice? Why is everyone upset over this? Shouldnt we accept and love eachother? Its not nice to judge another fellow human-being. Weather shes supporting him becauses hes black or blue, its her choice. Remember we all have choices. Free-Will. I dont think the bible supports gossip which isnt beneficial but could possibly hurt someone. Sorry just my opinion... PSA 34:13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. 11:9 With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape. Titus 2 to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. Peter 3:10 For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. In Conclusion: MAT 12:36 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. Please consider your words... What if, BY CHANCE- Oprah was reading this post- it hurt her feelings? Maybe her motives for promoting him isnt because hes black. But MAYBE because he could be a good president? Just a thought. love- Heatherxoxoxox
  8. This is precisely what me and my mother was discussing yesterday. I said I felt Jesus was God, but of course The Father is greater than the son (my own opinion). But- my mother felt Jesus is the son, but is not God. I would appreciate any opinions as well. Heatherxoxoxox
  9. I would leave it to God- Because God will clear out what is not needed in the believers life. At least he did so with me. I was friends with some very ungodly people. I felt and knew people were being pulled out of my life. Of course- those people tried to come back in, but knowing Gods will- I left them outside. Simple it was Gods choice. He most likely knew they wouldnt be following his will any time soon, so discontinued the friendships. So yes God will remove what is unneccesary but we are to uphold what he opens and takes away from us. Heatherxoxoxox
  10. Thats true. If we dont recognize God and his control over everything- we are doing the "good work" for our own glory. Which is against God, therefore is a sin. Heatherxoxoxo
  11. Thats what my pastor speaks of textus receptus and the authenticity of the KJV. God bless- Heatheroxoxox
  12. Before I found Christ I had severe anxiety and depression and tried several different medications. But- I will never forget a nurse came into my job and told me "If you had Jesus you wouldnt go thru what you are now, I promise you that." ... I thought about it and it seemed crazy. But- since ive been called I dont have anxiety anymore- I have faith and rest in my Father. Heatherxoxoxo
  13. God bless you pat- Jesus IS God, God loves everyone unconditionally... God WANTS to save us, we are his children. Why would God not want us to help a sinner, no matter how deep into it? *I believe* Our loving God doesnt want us around certain types of sin if it can be a personal weakness which we can fall into. But- I dont believe we can avoid people who need us, do you? Heatherxoxoox
  14. This is a issue for me lately "witnessing" I dont find myself sharing my love and passion for christ with other people. My Father also made it apparent to me that Christianity means fellowship. So I will be working on this. Thank you for the thread. Its great. and Im very thankful to the Lord Jesus for bringing us all together in his word and name. Heatherxx
  15. I believe that tithing was an Old Testament command. Jesus Christ told us that he loves a cheerful giver. We are to give from the heart. I just want to quickly state that Jesus shed his blood for us and was the ultimate sacrafice for our salvation, BUT Jesus said he came to fulfill the prophecy of OT not to destroy it. So- if God commands a single, individual to tithe, stop eating a certain food, drink, or cross the street. Its God's commandment to that person, alone. We are NOT to judge the Lords commandments. & those commandments could vary for the believer, it is according to the Lords will, regardless of how we feel about it- actually doesnt matter in the slightest how we feel. "Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God." 1 Corin 7:18-19
  16. I was doing my regular bible study before going to bed and I came across this statement in Psalms. "Only fools say in their hearts, there is no God. They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good." Psalm 14:1 NLT In this particular bible I have commentary and it states: "the true atheist is either foolish or wicked- foolish because he ignores the evidence that God exsists or wicked because he refuses to live by Gods truths." So with these verses, we see that regardless of the good works a atheist completes it is of little use because it isnt supported by Gods presence. I guess I answered my own question- but I would appreciate any furthur imput. Heatherxoxoxo
  17. So if you dont believe in God you musnt believe you have soul, or are believe and accept you will suffer eternity in the pits of hell? Heatherxoxox
  18. To whom, and through whom? to god obviously. Peace I notice you dont capitalize God... which means you must think your "god" as ordinary as everything else in this life. Heatherxoxo It saddens me that you think this life is ordinary. I hope that outlook is not preventing you from experiencing as much as you can while you are here. Peace, freefromfaith p.s. the small 'g' was really just tongue-in-cheek...I don't believe in god. Well yah this is just ordinary in comparison to the eternity I will have awaiting me with God. Thats right, you dont recognize God therefore dont repsect him.... It saddens me where your eternity will be. I will pray for you. heatherx
  19. Just browsing online and looked up book of enoch.... Quotes from the book But to them shall he give peace: he shall preserve the elect, and towards them exercise clemency. 1:7 Then shall all belong to God; be happy and blessed; and the splendour of the Godhead shall illuminate them. 1:8 (theres our eternal life) heheh 1Behold, he comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked, and reprove all the carnal for everything which the sinful and ungodly have done, and committed against him. 2:1 (apparently theres alot of us) All who are in the heavens know what is transacted there. 3:1 (theres our wisdom we will receive from God) Therefore your days shall you curse, and the years of your lives shall perish; perpetual execration shall be multiplied, and you shall not obtain mercy. 6:6 (Notice it says "your days shall YOU curse"... we are responsible for our blessings and cursings by CHOICE) These are the names of their chiefs: Samyaza, who was their leader, Urakabarameel, Akibeel, Tamiel, Ramuel, Danel, Azkeel, Saraknyal, Asael, Armers, Batraal, Anane, Zavebe, Samsaveel, Ertael, Turel, Yomyael, Arazyal. These were the prefects of the two hundred angels, and the remainder were all with them. Then they took wives, each choosing for himself; whom they began to approach, and with whom they cohabited; teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees. 7:9-10 (this is what the fallen angels are doing among earth... convincing humans they are what they are not) 1Moreover Azazyel taught men to make swords, knives, shields, breastplates, the fabrication of mirrors, and the workmanship of bracelets and ornaments, the use of paint, the beautifying of the eyebrows, the use of stones of every valuable and select kind, and all sorts of dyes, so that the world became altered. 2Impiety increased; fornication multiplied; and they transgressed and corrupted all their ways. 3Amazarak taught all the sorcerers, and dividers of roots: 4Armers taught the solution of sorcery; 5Barkayal taught the observers of the stars, ch. 9 (this is what the fallen angels did to the humans, this is how we became lost and furthur from God, with our own desires and vanities) This is excellent book and theres alot more!!!! http://reluctant-messenger.com/1enoch01-60.htm#Chapter01 Heather
  20. I was recently reading the dead sea scrolls one of the books is called the war between darkness and light or something close to that. There are several different non-canon books which were found with the dead sea scrolls which talk about God and the war between good and evil... also discusses 200+ fallen angels, by names who are trying to overpower God. Goes into great details about the war which is supposedly impending. Heatherxoxox
  21. To whom, and through whom? to god obviously. Peace I notice you dont capitalize God... which means you must think your "god" as ordinary as everything else in this life. Heatherxoxo
  22. I recently saw Evan Almighty and what stuck out at me is basically what you just said. We ask God for patience, he gives us the OPPORTUNITY for patience. We ask, we receive. Not always the way we think we will. God isnt going to say your my child so you get a free ride. We have to build, build, build. The bible speaks frequently about how God detests laziness and not trying. No same thing as life with our own parents after 18 or sometimes before we go on our own. We have to support ourselves, but sometimes, if someone is lucky or blessed enough they will get a parent or someone else help them with their choices and successes. Heatherxoxo
  23. I also watched the nativity story a couple weeks ago with my husband and I thought it was pretty good! I thought Evan Almighty was a bit boring....but to each his own! I cried with Nativity Story, When Jesus was born... but im also a big baby lol God bless Heatherxoxoxox
