To be honest, I have never heard of interdenominational, and have no idea how that would work exactly. I would assume it would approach things as a non-denominational church though, but really can't be certain.

They are not sweet, although I do think they may have a bit of sugar in them, not sure how to describe a graham cracker exactly lol. But the sweetness comes mainly from the chocolate
-
"S'mores" - is that marshmallow sandwiched between two chocolate cookies? My only introduction to s'mores is from the movie Sandlot.....: ) It is chocolate and toasted marshmallow, sandwiched between graham crackers, very tasty

Israel will not let others determine their future, I think Netanyahu has made that clear for some time now. I also don't believe Iran has anything on their mind other than war, the great war as they see it, which they believe by their prophecies that they will win, so it is simply a matter of time.

Is there a spiritual blindness over America?
wingnut- replied to John Robinson's topic in General Discussion
Ok, thanks for clarifying. I do agree that harboring bad feelings in our heart is not good for us, and I don't think anyone else would disagree with that either. I also think that one should read the bible as God leads them to do so, God bless. -

Do you think you are the only christian who has read their bible from cover to cover? The reason I ask, is because I recall you saying that you had done so once, and I can't speak for everyone else, but I know I have read mine through many times, and I would assume so have many of these other fine folks. -
Hope you and your family have a wonderful time joco, God bless.

I have come to a place in my life where I feel very close to Him, yet I couldn't choose that option because I am far from being holy or thinking of myself as anything but lowly. I know with all I currently face, I would crumble if not for feeling He was with me each step of the way. I opted for letting Him do the work in me because I think overall this is where He wants me to be, not just right now, but always, if that makes any sense lol.

That would be right up my alley, but no, i won't be doing that unfortunately.

Jeremiah 29:11 New King James Version (NKJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Philippians 4:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV) Meditate on These Things 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Praying for you and your son, that God will bring you peace and joy, God bless. -
I am not certain about the matter of the prophet being devoured by the lion as I cannot recall the story, perhaps you could point me to the scripture and I could provide something helpful in regards to it. I don't want to respond on a matter that is escaping my memory though. As far as is there a difference between the gift of prophecy and the understanding of scripture I would say yes, absolutely. I believe sevenseas referenced this in an earlier post, wisdom or knowledge would certainly fit under that banner so to speak. I have enjoyed discussing this as well, hopefully we all grow from the discussion, God bless.

We are given means to determine whether a prophet is true or false in the book of Deuteronomy, and according to scripture if their claim does not come to pass, they are not a prophet of God, and not to be feared. So a true prophet does not make mistakes. Deuteronomy 18:21-22 New King James Version (NKJV) 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. There are also examples of a prophet being accurate in their predictions, but not being a prophet of God found here. Deuteronomy 13:1-5 New King James Version (NKJV) Punishment of Apostates 13 “If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. 5 But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst.

Lol sorry, don't mean to stir the pot or anything, but just sharing what I believe pertains to prophecy, no offense intended of course. Oh, and just to clarify so no one misunderstands me, I do believe God still speaks to us through His word

1 Corinthians 13:8 New King James Version (NKJV) 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. According to scripture there are gifts that will cease, which is why there has always been a debate over this topic, the question of course being is when they cease. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances, I do not have access to all of my notes anymore, but I do recall that in the original Greek there were two different words used in this passage regarding these three specific gifts. The word used for knowledge and prophecy ceasing meant they would cease when someone or something acts on them to cause them to cease. Matthew 5:17-18 New King James Version (NKJV) Christ Fulfills the Law 17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Jesus is the fulfillment, and the revelation of John was the completion of the bible and the new testament. What need would we have for prophecy today when the Word of God has been completed already? Who has something more to add about what lays ahead than what the Lord revealed Himself, or what He revealed to John to share with us in revelation?
