I saw the movie last night really enjoyed the example of determination Eli had to walk in spirit and faith, fullfil the mission the Holy Spirit had directed him to do and completed with few obstacles but endured to the end of his breathe. When all this prophecy from the Bible comes to pass we may want to takes notes now on how Eli walked in faith and that we may be called to walk the same way, someday. Really enjoyed the education!

Very interesting, We know God formed all from nothing. And is very familiar with the concept of nothing. Whereas you claim expansion and growth? Am I following you on this? Peace

In reply, I see this happening again and worse, also. In the next two to three years. Isn't the timing remarkable in all that is shown to us in these days? Whether, 2009, 2010, 2011, or 2012. This awareness Globally has never, in man's time, walking on this earth, ever been so consciously and collectively thought and felt, at the same time, no matter their condition. Seems to all stem from one thing. MONEY in all time even in the Bible. Here we are in 2009 going right into Christmas. Is this really what's important in life I don't Beilieve so, but a decision is going to have to be made soon for everyBODY and SOUL. If timimg and history are correct then why can't what happened in Biblical times happen again I think the same concepts and principals still apply. Just had to get that out, Peace and a merry Christmas.

I do not think there is anybody here supporting the idea that a thing, in and of itself, can be an idol. An idol is something you pray to expecting it to have power in and of itself. A cross is not something you consider to have power, I hope. It is a symble or reminder of the price that was paid and it identifies you as a believer. I hope it is nothing more than that to you, and nothing less. I believe that an idol is anything that a person deems necessary to have a close communion with God. An idol can be taken away, if that item or object is necessary to get you through your day, then I consider that an idol. I have also heard of substance as idols. Look at how many people find their lives difficult to get through the day without their Diet Pepsi. So yes, their are people who see idols as objects that subsidize as an intermediary possession to attain their communication with the Father. But is unneccessary and can inhibit their relationship with God. Thank you for your thoughts so I could share mine, Peace.

I was raised going to church with KJV, and the years trying to understand the version it is written in easily lost my interest from not being able to relate to the literation. Twenty years later after my falling away from church and studies. I went in search for a Bible that I could understand. I checked out the Catholic version, I liked that I was able to see what the Bible looked like before King James condensed the Bible. With the NIV I didn't find that version traditional enough for me. The version that has a hand in transforming my life is the New King James Version by the International Bible Society. The translation is one that I can easily understand and am able to apply scripture correctly to my life. Without having to guess what part of verse may or may not mean. I do believe people should have a bible that they can relate to. The principles and guidelines on how to live life with God's favor is in every version it's just a matter of how a person chooses to apply that guidance in their lives. Sent with love in Christ.

You opened the post with this above. Why aren't my replies adequate. His earthly pilgrimage and gave up his "godness" and didn't resume until after His baptism, when the Holy Spirit came upon Him. I agree with your husband in this debate.

Sweet lady, Another thought, at the baptism. Why did Christ, request that John baptize Him first, and not Christ baptize John first? Did He feel that He was not fully worthy at that precise moment to give the baptism first? And gave John the comanding authority first?
-
Sweet lady, Was the baptism a renewing, cleanse for Christ with the Holy Spirit?

We are shaped by searching. Searching the scriptures, and ourselves consciously and unconsciously. Shaping an awareness of our existence on this earth presently with all conditions surrounding us. We become more aware through our daily experiences of what we feel to be true. While being shrouded in mysteries and hope of a better world to come. The Holy Bible encapsulates the message of all that is good and all that is evil within this exisence. We walk daily with the wait/weight of both, internally and externally of our physical and spritual existence. I am but one person that shares the collective consciousness of hope and faith that God will deliver us from the wickness this world has. The Father has shown and proven to me, that if I can't carry my own wait/weight with the Lord, that the alternative(which is Satan's way) is always waiting. So the strength and courage I must continue to endure, until the day when a world change comes will be well worth challenge. Love and hope is a core element that is inextiguishable by God. The Hoy Bible when searched, does not paint pretty picture with the veangance of the Lord. Many will see and feel the wrath, but out something thought to be bad, the good comes out when the dust settles. The Father is in control, always. Timing and patience is His greatest attributes. I'm thankful for the opprotunity I have been given in this life to love, sin and repent. To be given the knowledge through experience the Fathers love, whether I was doing right or wrong to Him. He is always there waiting. He has laid upon me to give His message of fear, preparation and hope to those He directs my way. The message is widely known through the Bible. To turn away from the ways of the world completly, is a bold step to understanding the Father and His grand purpose for all of us. There will be nobody that can say they didn't know the wrath was coming when it comes. All will be judged through their conscience. I wrote this no reservations on paper this is just what came out when I wrote. Thanks for reading, your thoughts are welcomed.

I see this as the Saviour was not made of sin, but that he took on the sins of the world for our sake to show us that we are not condemned in sin. The baptism was needed to show His obediance to God's requirements, at the same time showing the people that through baptism of complete consciousness and understanding that salvation is available to anyone who submits to the Father. The baptism was also a release of the revelation of his Sonship and power of the Holy Spirit in His life to verify to him and witnesses the full meaning to His own conscious awareness to prepare Him for the cruxifiction that was needed to fulfill the first part of the mission that He was sent to do. To give us an example or record of these accounts for us for the last two thousand years. Until His second coming is fulfilled as the scriptures, or word of God given to the prophets for our edification. I'm sharing my perspective from the searching and living of the Bible literally in my life. I'm concluding that we today have the same soul characteristics as the prophets have recorded. Please pray and search for the answer within yourself through Spirit guidance. Sent with love in Christ, Michael

I would agree with your husband Sweetlady, about his pilgrimage and the baptism. You are also correct about the infancy and the saviour being born, but that he was born into a sinful world. As scripture refers too. The scriptures that first come to mind in this reference is: Romans 8:1- 1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. 2)For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3)For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4)That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. The scriptures are just a portion of Christ's walk on earth. We do not know what was not recorded. In His full 33yrs on earth. But this scripture vs. 3 implies that God sent his son in the flesh to absorb the sins of the world at that time. Therefore, at his baptism with John, Christ also cleansed himself in the baptism with the Holy Spirit. So, I think you and you're husband are correct in this topic.

You have a very good understanding about the desire to live the teachings rather than memorize them. I think your point is ultimately going to be the deciding factor in the end. People are going to feel everything that they thought they knew and see that their perception was wrong. Great topic to share, hope others look at their lives as to their walk!

Dear Storm612, The smile on my face you can't see but it's on me. What you wrote is a beautiful example of walking with Christ and living God's will. Your shining and living the experience the Holy Spirit has directed to you in your life is the participation and reason to keep on living the walk in good times and bad the journey is worth rewards. I'll end with a scripture I don't care to cut and paste the word of God this I think is very relevant to both our interactions. St. Mark Ch 12:30-31 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greateer than these. Christ spoke these words to St. Mark. God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses in the Old Testament, Christ spoke these in the New Testament. When all one has is what I call zero factor the process of seeing the light is shone. If we look at the Bible as whole, every scripture and meaning is a preparation for all of us when the words of the prophets do come true someday. By living with God whether we understand why is not the reason we do it but long term obediance. Your strength with other women who have children in these times is very commendable and certainly not an easy task. God must have a special recognition to all good mothers tending to His children. I see the children as His under our care that makes having God as our leader even more important than what the world tries to stay us into. Back to the point is that living the Bible will make the differnce in us and our children this is a concept that is able to be transfered to the children if we don't happen to have a breath tomorrow everyday counts the road is not easy but the end is worth every precious moment. (Whether we like it or not!) If I'm not telling you anything new the spirit has revealed to me how my heart really feels about the outcome. Keep your shine Stormy, the fire inside may blaze inside you sometimes and the fire wither to an ember we can always rekindle the flame because the love of Jesus Christ our Saviour died for us when the world saw him as a sinner God's grace brought him back into our hearts and mind forever with an undying spirit. We're not in this alone hold fast to what is right and our destination is in God's hands. Amen Solman

Stormy612, Thank you for responding. Maybe I should share with you were I 'm coming from. Through my past disobediance, I've been able see the results and experience the rewards through repentance. Charitow's input is very relative where a soldier submits to the leader (God). I see alot of people substituting following their leader for following the ways of the world. Serving two masters, as the bible states "either you will love one and hate the other" but you can't serve two masters. I found out the hard way in my past. Years ago the Spirit had directed me to sell and give away my posessions which resulted in living out a backpack and a tent with a Bible is where my spiritual journey began four years ago. When I didn't have anything worldly to direct my attentions to doors opened up that I never knew were available, I started going places not knowing why I was being directed to but once I got there through the experience God revealed to me my purpose for enduring the hardships to get to the destination through the people or person that God directed to find me. So through obediance or submitting oneself to God a person is really able to experience the purpose God has for whomever. Maybe this side of my response can explain my reasoning to the first interaction. Solman

I would like thank you for sharing this forum openly with me. I opened and read this with a relating questioning that I think everybody can relate to. The question at the end is not so simple to answer within ourselves and openly share a response that can easily go very in depth. I'm new to this forum and I'm seeing that challenging observations and questions are being shown to me. This has given me a chance to see within myself if I am understanding and living God's will correctly for myself. Some response would be great for me to see if I'm on the right track or not. May God bless all. Solman As I pray on this topic the more in depth and double edged the answer could be. (as I see this) We can show more that we actually love doing God's will by example in our actions and decisions without trying to defend the idols that the world imposses on us everyday in our lives. The first commandment "Thou shalt not have any other God's before me". The first step in doing God's will to me is to understand and live the basic ten commandments in our lives; and the light will shine from us onto others in your presence. The second part of the question " and it really stops being about obeying, but being more like Jesus?". I ask myself who or what are we really having a question about obeying? Is our obediance directed to God alone or are we clouding the question with merckiness of obedience to the world. Because in order to be more like Jesus we would give all our money to the poor, pick up our cross of shame and guilt pay our penants to God and walk with Him day by day everyday until Christ comes again to redeem our souls unto eternal salvation. So who or what are we showing obediance to? God's plan or Satan's plan in our current time.
