  1. Agreed.... Dropping prices just means more companies won't be able to hit their profit targets and layoffs will be next.
  2. While I'm not in favor of bailout plans for any company in principle, no bailout for the Big 3 (or Big 2, if you will) will have an immediate negative effect on friends and family here in Michigan....
  3. Yeah - I saw this earlier today as well. While I'm not a Cheney fan, I do try to be objective. It looks like there are two issues here: 1) the indictment wasn't signed 2) it seems there were other indictments for the same offense that were never signed and eventually dropped in this jurisdiction. I dunno. Maybe Cheney did something. Maybe he didn't. What this article tells me is that something untoward is happening and perhaps an uninvolved authority figure needs to investigate.
  4. Yeah! Vista just isn't compatible with a lot of other software. We had to run the new version of SPSS for a class I'm in and those with Vista just couldn't the program to work... It's too bad b/c I kinda liked the look of Vista. Glad I don't have it, though!
  5. Yep - worry is something I struggle with from time to time. Unfortunately, anxiety runs in the family... One thing God is doing in this area is teaching me how to trust! I still have my ups and downs (right now I'm kinda in a down), but mostly I'm learning that he has a plan for me and nothing will get in the way - not even my anxiety. I have to try to keep putting myself into situations that confront the fear, though. It's hard, and I've been losing my courage lately...
  6. This was *exactly* what I thought when I first heard about the study showing that video games improved strategic thinking some time ago... hilarious!
  7. I don't know, but it's one of those cliches that always makes me laugh when I imagine it literally... "As the nickels, dimes and pennies pelted his back, he knew the winds of change were moving him..." haha. I probably should have saved this level of nerdiness until at least after my first 50 posts.
  8. Neat! I loooooove Jane Eyre!! And most of the other books they have on there as well. How exciting!
