"Behold, I have made you a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges...you will rejoice in the Lord, You will glory in the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 41:15,16 Are we ready to dive into the bottomless treasure chest of God for our lives? When we awake spiritually hungry, the Lord is up to something in our life because He initiates the spiritual hunger. As we turn aside from our regular routine -- He is calling us to turn aside from our present existence -- He is calling us to turn aside from those things that have hindered us -- He is calling us to turn aside into HIS FLAME! As we turn aside, God is going to begin to seep into the dry soil of our heart and awaken us into a new passion and a new FIERY desire for Him. Since meditation on the Scriptures, prayer, and intercession are a service we owe and because the grace of God is found in this service, we should train ourselves to set apart a regular hour for it. This is not "legalism"; it is orderliness and fidelity. Who can really be faithful in great things if he has not learned to be faithful in the things of daily life? DAILY HUNGERING AND THIRSTING FOR HIM "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." - Colossians 4:2 Who is He that we should hunger and thirst for Him and set aside time to seek Him diligently? TAKING UP OUR CROSS The gospel doctrine of the Cross, that is, of dying to self is the only way to life in God. The true Christian life, which is to be a disciple of Christ, is a life of sacrifice. "Taking up our cross" means that we 'die' to the right to do as we please, and surrender 'unconditionally' to the Lordship of Jesus. It was on the Cross that Jesus suffered the ultimate injustice, but He did not retaliate, or ask the Father to retaliate, but rather to forgive. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

Matthew 10:37 - "He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." If we do not love God more than our mates, we will not love our mates as much as we should. Our relationship to God was created first and must always remain first. Many try to find the fulfillment that they can only find in their relationship to God through their mates, or others, and even those in the church. Usually this will lead to frustration that will damage our relationship to our mates and others because we will begin to feel that they are not enough for us. They aren't, because they can never take the place of God in our lives. Romans 12:3 - "God has given to each man a liberal measure of faith." FAITH WILL ALWAYS OVER-COMPENSATE FOR YOUR PERSONAL FEARS AND FRUSTRATIONS - YOUR PERSONAL LIMITATIONS AND LIABILITIES. FAITH WILL ASSIST YOU TO MOVE AHEAD IN GOD'S CALL ON YOUR LIFE. EXERCISING FAITH TO FULFILL YOUR CALL WILL ALWAYS RESULT IN: INCREASING SPIRITUAL BOLDNESS! SOARING SPIRITUAL CONFIDENCE! SPIRITUAL PERSEVERANCE! TRUE LASTING SPIRITUAL EFFECTIVENESS! PERMANENT SPIRITUAL RESULTS - "FRUIT WHICH REMAINS" MEASURED BY THE LIVES YOU HAVE DRAMATICALLY CHANGED (JOHN 15:16)! Nehemiah 4:6 - "So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart." Passion is stamina that says "I'm going to go after this, no matter what happens. If I have to wait ten years, I'm going to get it." Passionate people are those who have discovered something more important than life itself. Jesus told His disciples, "Whoever does not persevere and carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple." (Luke 14:27) Affirmations: I REALIZE THAT GIVING UP FALSE VISIONS AND AMBITIONS FOR MY GENUINE VISION IS THE PATH TO TRUE LIFE. I AM HUNGRY FOR MY VISION I NEED PASSION TO FULFILL MY VISION. I NEED PURPOSE TO PRODUCE PASSION "For whoever is bent on saving his life (his comfort and security here) shall lose it (eternal Matthew 16:25 -life); and whoever loses his life (his comfort and security here) for My sake shall find it (life everlasting)." Matthew 3:11 - "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but He that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire." OH, HOLY SPIRIT....OH, FIRE! THAT SO INTIMATELY AND TENDERLY PENETRATES THE FIBRE AND CORE OF MY SOUL.....CLEANSE ME, BURN IN ME, WITH YOUR PASSION FOR CHRIST! John 5:44 - "How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another, and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?" We need to decide if we are going to let all of the previous wounds and disappointments determine who we are, or if we are going to be like Christ, using the Cross to determine who we are, seizing the occasion to die to ourselves and rise above this world and live in resurrection power. We cannot be resurrected unless we have first died. Observation: I KNOW I AM RELATING CORRECTLY TO GOD WHEN MY HUNGER FOR HIS GLORY CAUSES ME TO FORSAKE THE PRAISE OF MEN. 1 John 3:6 - "Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him." Affirmation: I CONFESS I HAVE A NEW NATURE WITH NEW DESIRES! HIS DIVINE SEED IS REPRODUCING GOD'S LIFE IN ME SO THAT EVERY DAY I AM THINKING MORE LIKE GOD, ACTING MORE LIKE GOD, AND POSSESSING LESS TOLERANCE FOR ANY SIN THAT MIGHT STILL BE ACTIVE IN MY LIFE. Isaiah 4:2-6 - "In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious ..... When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain." When we allow God’s purging fire to touch us He will place a covering of glory over our lives to protect us from the spirit of the world. There is a protection when we live in God’s purging fire. CONSUMED WITH HOLY PASSION Song of Solomon 8:6 - “Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD." This verse says that the fire of love is actually the very flame of God. The best part about God’s fire is His fire of love. When we are touched by His fire He not only purges the dross out of our lives but He also consumes us with the fire of holy passion. God is looking to pull out His glory on the people who are consumed with one desire. As we allow His love to consume us and everything in us that is not of Him, these flames of passion will begin to light fires that not only burn in our hearts, but turn us into torches of blazing light. The light in us will draw those who do not yet know Him into the flames of His presence. OPENED HEARTS TURNED TOWARDS JESUS Revelation 1:14 - "His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire." 2 Chronicles 16:9 - “For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars.” Jesus is described as having eyes like flames of fire. He is looking for those whose hearts are opened and turned toward Him. The Lord wants to bring us to the place of the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-5). This revelation is what enables us to surrender all. It allows us to love and trust Him so completely that we lay down our agendas, turn aside from the everday, and launch out into the miraculous. It is what ignites us to be His flames of fire that burn - so the world might know His light. WITNESSING THE LOVE OF JESUS TO THE WORLD We go from the place of the burning bush where we encounter His love, to being burning bushes that carry His love. As we blaze with His love, shining brilliantly with the gifts, and fruits of the Spirit that witness that love to the world: 1. Many will be drawn from the paths they have been on and into encounters with the Holy One! 2. Many will be healed. 3. Many will be delivered. 4. Many will be saved. We become "human torches" that arise and shine, going forth into the streets and communities of cities and villages. People turn from their paths, come running up to us and ask, "What is this flame that does not burn you?" "What is this fire that radiates off of you?" "What is this warmth?" AFFIRMATIONS: I am a "human torch" that illuminates lost mankind. I carry the power and anointing of the kingdom of God. I set myself on God’s alter today to allow myself to be consumed by His fire of purging and His fire of love. I refuse to allow the move of God in me to be mis-carried. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
