Has anyone read "Counterfeit Revival" by Hank Hanegraaff? I was curious as to what you guys thought of it.

Without looking at the book if this is by him I would not ready the book because he is very decieved, from what I have heard him say before.

I bought the tape version of the book. On the tape it has audio footage of these guys speaking false doctrine and I thought he did an excellent job.

Check this out, I had a friend who was deep into the toronto blessing and brownsville stuff and when he had heard the C.R tape, he got on his knees and repented before God.

The audio tape is alot more effective! :wow: :t2::t2::t2: :upsided: :a: :a2:

I've got footage of parts of the Toronto blessing on video tape but it wasn't from CRI. I saw some scarey stuff.

I think that Christians who are involved in t.o/Brownville stuff need to look at what kind of fruit its producing.

I checked out a website called www.deceptioninthechurch.com (or .org) that shows video footage of guys like Rodney Howard Brown and John Scotland mocking Bible reading, for real, and while they were reading, the congregation was laughing there heads off. Just crazy, man.

I don't know if I agree with everything on that website, but check the video footage. Just click on audio/video and then scroll down closer to the bottom of the page. :t2:;):):D:P:t2::):t2: :!!!: :) :cheesy: :bright:

I just took that quiz about 'How susceptible are you' by deception in the church and I scored 100% on Quiz #1

Quiz #2 is matching the preachers with what they said and I'm not very good at that. I'm going to check out the audio now. Thanks for that link - so far I really like this site! Thank you!!!!! :hug:

Well I have been to the Toronto church many times and it is not a counterfeit revival. God is reviving His church and saving many and raising up new churches around the world. that is the fruit. christians who were discouraged and dried up are being refreshed and strengthened and renewed in God and going out and doing exploits. You cant judge something by seeing a video tape made by someone who had an agenda. and as for Rodney, I dont agree with him. He doesnt speak for all christians. he is rodney and he is responsible for his own stuff. Hank Hanagraaf will answer to God for attacking the Body of Christ as he does. Why does he think God would set him up as judge and jury, as present day heresy hunter? He is walking on thin ice, very dangerous ground before God. I would not want to be in his shoes.

A persons agenda can not alter a video tape. It records what it sees and I saw some pretty scarey stuff. All the animal noises, the laughing uncontrollably, people rolling around on the floor and over chairs, shaking their heads so fast it's a blurr, sticking their tongues out like serpeants and more. Strengthen and renewed? I think they were possessed and not by the Holy Spirit. It was demonic and I will NEVER be party to that.

So I guess you didn't read the book huh? :t2:

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
